    Is this song heaven?

    • JCF

It’s Iowa. [No not really, it’s Orlando.]

  • G Thomas

This is so fun and silly and fabulous. I miss Scissor Sisters!

    • Oh’behr in Minnesota

I know. Now I’m going through their other music. I didn’t want to say older.

  • KCMC

Jeesh. One year. Still feels like open wound. Great music.

    • Butch

The idea that it’s been a year stunned me. I guess I always thought life would get less scary as I got older, and it’s turned out the opposite is true.

  • The_Wretched

Even with the Trump time dilation effect, Orlando feels like last week.

  • Rex

You twerk and you twirl and you werk and you swerve and you swirl.
OK, but only until the painkillers wear off.

    • KCMC

      IKR? And call my chiropractor.

    • JDS

      Or break a hip.

Is this a new thing? Where the scamming spammers QUOTE the post above first? [F#ckers!] Flagged & blocked anyway.

If you have ever had a blog, or read comments on other blogs, you will notice all kinds of weird comments with spam url’s posted.
Food ones are great. “This was delicious” is the posted comment, then a link to “low-cost-designer-shoes.c0m” or something stupid.
Super annoying to wade through spam comments, or delete them if it’s your blog.

Celebrate the end of the worst year.

Thank you Jake, Scissor Sisters & friends

  • RaygunsGoZap

This is just obnoxious garbage sounds.

  • DanimalChgo

Yeah, nice motivation, but I’m not liking the song. The title alone – “swerlk”? Trying way too hard. And within the first few seconds I realized I am over “work it” and any variations thereof. Time to move on, gay culture.

  • Robert Anthony

    This song is very “fetch”.

    • leo77

Good cause hope it’s successful. I have to admit SWERLK threw me at first because it’s such an awkward pile up of consonants, a strange nemonic, but after having searched the internet a bit I realize they’re owning it and rolling it out across social media, it’s a twitter hashtag, Facebook page, GLAAD and the record label have built a web presences around it. There’s already been some good PR outreach around SWERLK. It appears to be something MNDR was hash tagging and building a presence for back in 2016—so they’ve been doing the ground work to make it a “thing”.

From a marketing perspective the song exists to drive home the word and it does do that pretty darn well—whether it’s great music or not is kinda tertiary.

It would be great if they could partner with a text messaging vendor, cell provider, text S-W-E-R-L-K and donate 2 bucks to the cause.

      • Robert Anthony

For the cause they’ve embraced I wish them all the success in the world. (swerld?)

  • Jmdintpa

all i got was a thrown out hip

  • seant426

Sounds like Robin S. “Show Me Love.”

  • Lazycrockett

If you cut out the “Lets have a kiki” wannabe bits the song itself is pretty damn fine.

  • Acronym Jim

What do you get when you twerk and you twirl and you werk and you swerve and you swirl?

    Motion sickness?

I adore the Scissor Sisters, but I think this concept needs a bit more werk.

Edit: It’s still a catchy tune and for a great cause.

  • Tiger Quinn

Hate to say it about a charity single, but…..no.

  • abraxas_bear

Deliciously cheesy and fun—definitely grows on you! We need a new ALBUM from the Scissor Sisters, though!
