BRITAIN: Morrissey Channels Trump, Slams Politicians And Queen Elizabeth For Not Saying “Islamic Extremist”

“Celebrating my birthday in Manchester as news of the Manchester Arena bomb broke. The anger is monumental. or what reason will this ever stop? Theresa May says such attacks ‘will not break us’, but her own life is lived in a bullet-proof bubble, and she evidently does not need to identify any young people today in Manchester morgues. Also, ‘will not break us means that the tragedy will not break her, or her policies on immigration. The young people of Manchester are already broken – thanks all the same, Theresa. Sadiq Khan says ‘London is united with Manchester’, but he does not condemn Islamic State – who have claimed responsibility for the bomb.

“The Queen receives absurd praise for her ‘strong words’ against the attack, yet she does not cancel today’s garden party at Buckingham Palace – for which no criticism is allowed in the Britain of free press. Manchester mayor Andy Burnham says the attack is the work of an ‘extremist’. An extreme what? An extreme rabbit?

“In modern Britain everyone seems petrified to officially say what we all say in private. Politicians tell us they are unafraid, but they are never the victims. How easy to be unafraid when one is protected from the line of fire. The people have no such protections.” – Brexit cheerleader Morrissey, in a Facebook post that has gone viral thanks, in part, to gleeful repostings by Breitbart and InfoWars.

Some commenters on his Facebook page have noted that the suicide bomber and Morrissey were both born in Manchester.

  • Yet another idiotic fervent believer in Name Magic.

If I say ‘Morrissey is a Complete Wanker and Cock-Tosser’ three times fast, will he disappear forever? Please?

    • Judas Peckerwood

      If only.

    • Phillip in L.A.

Extremely doubtful, unless you can also make it rain manna from heaven

    • boatboy_srq

Angry is his thing. If he found Shangri-La he’d be all bent about the stillness of the place.

    • ElenorRigby

honestly, can he please die of a plague that also takes out all of his fans?

    • DonnaLee

To think there is no more George Michael, but we have this guy still.
      *Sigh*

  • RavennaBonet

he said nothing wrong … but call it what it is … RELIGION!!!
and all of it is poison including the dwellers

  • Proud MOFO Beaner (bkb)

This joke isn’t funny anymore. By “joke” I mean this closet case.

(Love the The Smiths’ music. But M seems like a crappy person)

    • Dazzer

      He’s not in the closet.

He came out years ago. and he made it look like such an utter fucking admission of shame, that it’d be impossible not to hope that his closet door had had a stronger lock.

Also, I can’t imagine anyone wanting to fuck him except to pay off a betting debt.

      • Proud MOFO Beaner (bkb)

        According to wiki from 2013:

“In October 2013, Morrissey released a statement through his semi-official website, which said, “Unfortunately, I am not homosexual. In technical fact, I am humasexual. I am attracted to humans. But, of course … not many.”[233] Simpson noted that many questioned why Morrissey does not identify as bisexual, given his sexual experiences with both men and women.[234]”

    • JoeMyGod

I’m just surprised that yours is only the second comment to reference a Morrissey title. I was sure we’d have seen “heaven knows he’s miserable now” ….

      • Proud MOFO Beaner (bkb)

Haha. “This Charming Man” certainly doesn’t apply

        • JoeMyGod

When that song came out I was working in an airport hotel lounge called “The Pantry.” All the gay staff loved the line about a “jumped-up pantry boy”….

          • Proud MOFO Beaner (bkb)

The Smiths had such angsty lyrics for a gayling.

            hand in glove
            What difference does it make?
            Reel around the fountain
            How soon is now
Etc etc etc in addition to the ones already mentioned
all sooooo GAY GAY GAY lol

      • JoeMyGod

Or at least “bigmouth strikes again”….

      • pch1013

I hope he has an unhappy birthday.

      • Phillip in L.A.

Joe, you might have missed the Smiths mini-love-fest we had . . . was it yesterday? (On the occasion of Mr M’s birthday, May 22). Don’t remember which thread

  • RavennaBonet

what a shame people still walking lightly not to offend “RELIGION”

  • Lars Littlefield

I’m really not familiar with the Morrissey person. But from what I gather he’s a tool?

    • JoeMyGod

Former lead singer of the Smiths and arguably one of the most popular male vocalists in the world for decades. Also an insufferable hectoring vegan.

      • Lars Littlefield

Again, you’ve lost me. I suppose it depends upon which world we’re talking about. πŸ˜‰

Now, now, he was acquitted since the coroner never determined the cause of death was homicide.

          • TampaDink

Tonight he is probably happy & sad. Happy to have been acquitted but sad that a jury decided that his dick isn’t as big as he imagined it to be.

          • Stephen Elliot Phillips

Well i try to use my meat with “compassion”

          • TampaDink

I have no doubt. I just hope that you use it with compassionate liberalism…because compassionate conservatives turned out to be anything but compassionate.

      • Dazzer

        He’s a fucking prick, Joe.

        I remember him when he:-
        i) wasn’t a vegetarian
        and
        2) he wasn’t gay.

He was, however, an utter fuckwit.

Johnny Marr wasn’t the devil for breaking up The Smiths. He’s the guy you’d actually want to go out for a drink with.

    • Duh-David

Former singer, virtually unknown outside of his small island nation.

      • JoeMyGod

Well, no. Morrrisey remains inexplicably wildly popular in many places, especially in South America and Mexico where he regularly sells out arenas.

        • Duh-David

Yes, I’m just being catty and bitter and glib. Please don’t shadow-ban me for failed humour. πŸ˜‰

Donald Trump tapped into something during the presidential campaign. He called out the Democrats for their hyper-PC reluctance to call it “Islamic extremist terrorism.”

    He was right on that.

And he won, partially as a result of that.

    • RavennaBonet

      they will never learn

    • pch1013

OK, so let’s suppose that the Queen and Teresa May and all the commenters on JMG start using the politically correct term, “Islamic terrorism.”

      Then what?

There is Christian terrorism (Joe documents it daily) and there is Islamic terrorism.

Among a segment of Jews, there is Jewish terrorism. Support of the illegal settlements is, imo, a form of terrorism.

Let’s call terrorism what it is.

        When we see it.

        • BobSF_94117

When, outside the gay press, have you ever seen the words “Christian terrorism” in print?

          • another_steve

            Good question, Bob.

            Never.

Reason: Christian theofascists purchase Cialis and reverse mortgages.

        • -M-

But calling it Christian terrorism or Islamic terrorism invites the implication that all Christians or all Muslims are equally as barbaric as the terrorists. You rightly object when people say your Christian husband is just as bad as Pope-Emeritus RatNazi. This is why some of us use the narrower terms Christianist and Islamist for these militant ideologies and their followers.

          • another_steve

I don’t think we’re disagreeing, -M-. Anyone who reads my garbage on this blog knows I always refer to “christofascists” or “theofascists” — in order to distinguish peaceful people of faith from monsters who use religion as an excuse to be monstrous.

I’m a cultural Jew and when I detect Jewish terrorism, I recognize it as such. I call it out.

There are Jews of peace and there are Jewish terrorists.

            Let’s employ the words.

      • Name Magic.

        • JCF

I like this, Becca. Very helpful.

      • Dazzer

The Queen would never call out Islam above other religions when it comes to terrorism. The only member of her family who was killed by terrorism was Mountbatten – and it was the supposedly Christian/Catholic terrorists who did that.

Theresa May isn’t going to attack terrorists because they’re “Islamic Terrorists” because:
        1) She has Muslim Cabinet Ministers who hate Islamic terrorists; and
        2) The last lot of terrorists who killed Conservative Party ministers were also ‘Catholic’ supporting IRA members.

So where do we go from here in terms of terrorism in the UK, another_steve?

I’m not trying to attack you (I still value my bollocks), but terrorism in the UK is vastly different to the ideas pedaled by some so-called experts in the US.

    • Judas Peckerwood

So is it “hyper-PC reluctance” that both they and the GOP don’t call domestic “Christian extremist terrorism” by its proper name? How about “straight extremist terrorism”?

      • another_steve

The United States is very much under siege by far-right Christian terrorists. They occasionally do overt physical damage (bomb abortion clinics and LGBT community centers, for instance), but their modus operandi is a bit more subtle than that.

        One evil.

As the older priest says to the younger priest in William Blatty’s “The Exorcist” (paraphrasing):

“There is only one evil there.”

        • Judas Peckerwood

My question was whether refusing to name that Christian terrorism is “hyper-PC”

My point is that you’re embracing the enemy’s language: “PC”, which the far-right uses to try to delegitimize very legitimate opposition to racism, sexism, homophobia and other bigotry.

It’s like calling anti-choice zealots “pro-life” or anti-marriage-equality extremists “pro-marriage/pro-family”. It validates and normalizes their twisted worldview, and I wish that people on “our” side would stop doing it.

          • another_steve

You’re a fair and intelligent debater, JP. I respect your views even when I disagree with them.

We should all, imo, surrender the felt-need to conform to this or that political philosophy. Drop the felt-need to “identify with” or “be accepted by” this or that group.

Step back, drop all pretense, and react.

  • TampaDink

I guess, for some people, if everyone uses the exact right words in the precise proper order all of the bad people will disappear or suddenly reform & everyone on the planet is going to be crazy in love with everyone else on the planet.
This reminds me of the prayers I was taught as a child.

  • Blake J Butler

The whole reason we are seeing more terrorist activity is due to the fact we are playing into getting ourselves involved in another war, which is what ISIS wants, so they can create more terrorists when we bomb their homes and kill their families.

Blame an entire religion for the acts of several million stingers at the expense of over a billion followers of Islam. And if we allow people to treat people who are muslim, like shit, we will see more incidents like this, along with opening the doors to opening discrimination to other groups of people.

Today it is Muslims, tomorrow it can be us.

Or, conversely, we could refer to this horrible massacre as a “hate crime.” Which is exactly what it was. But for some reason the same people who leap to condemn the entire Muslim religion for acts like this, also tend to dismiss the very concept of “hate crimes” as so much liberal snowflakiness.

I remember seeing The Smiths at a concert back in the ’70’s at Macclesfield Sunday School (now the town’s Silm Museum – an excellent museum, btw). The Smiths were the Mancunian warm-up act for a school favourite glam rock band that might have been called Silverfish (I can’t remember the name – all I can recall is that they had stage pyrotechnics – which were absolutely revolutionary back then).

When The Smiths came on they were droning on as only a Manchester band of the time could do , and they were throwing gladioli into the crowd. The crowd – me and my friends – were cutting 10p coins into the stems of the gladioli and throwing them back at Morrissey and Johnny Marr in the hope that we could draw blood when the flowers hit.

I’m not even going to waste a second of my energy to repute what this repugnant little fucktard has always said.

He’s a guy who joyfully gives the Hitler salute. He merrily denigrates Jews. He’s cheerful in hating Muslims.

He sings a song that “Meat is Murder” but then refuses to condemn the murder of human beings.

If anyone believes and follows Morrissey, I’m not going to condemn you.

Why should I? Life has got there first.

My only problem with Morrissey is that when I had the chance, I’d have taken out his vocal chords and spared the world his witless spewshit, rather than just grazing him with a coin that would have been better spent on a Mars Bar.

So, in other words, not a fan? πŸ˜€

“Oscillate Wildly” still would have happened.

    • Ernest Endevor

I have no idea who he is or what he does so I’m glad to read your background. And fascinated with the 10p piece in the gladdies. BTW, are gladdies still considered to be fit only for jokes?

    • Phillip in L.A.

Agree about his personality, which is absolutely irrelevant to music made by him with three other VERY talented folks three decades again

    • barrixines

This sounds like a letter to the NME. But it did make me laugh. You could have also mentioned the fact that Morrissey comes from a family of immigrants. And is also an immigrant himself living in the US. And as far as having his finger on the pulse of what “we” talk about in private, the only person I have read putting up with the miserable old fuck for more than five minutes in the last twenty years has been Nancy Sinatra.

If you can’t decide how you feel about the cold-blooded murder of two people, you are probably not part of the solution.

One, or more of them had bomb-making supplies back at the place they shared. According to other sources I’ve read in the last 24 hours, traces of radioactive residue we’re also detected. Investigators are still trying to figure it out.

And one more thing: Arthurs was approaching Key West when police apprehended him. He had a bomb. They’re trying to figure out what he was planning to do once he got there.

Young lives cut short is a tragedy, but these guys doomed themselves.

        • Paul

I believe they arrested the other roommate due to him having guns and explosives in his room.

        They were Nazis, not people.

Yeah…let’s just say I’m not going to miss the absence of those two (and possibly the third) from the gene pool.

    • There are those who delve into extremist belief systems because those particular beliefs resonate for them.

And those who become fanatics because it appears to excuse and legitimize the bloodthirsty savagery they wanted to commit all along.

My guess is this Arthurs punk was the latter category.

    • TampaDink

As this story broke & then eventually all of the layers (so far) have been revealed in local media the thing that I keep thinking of is how sad that 3 (4 if you count the other roommate who wasn’t home for the shootings) young men with a life ahead of them all ended up….thanks to extremist ideals.

To the artsy queers of the 80’s it was sweet sweet nectar.

          • Lars Littlefield

I must have missed those artsy queers. Those I knew preferred REM, U2, Tears for Queers, Men Without Hats, The Stray Cats, Dura Duran, Pet Shop Boys, Malcom Mclaren’s odd theme albums, The Thompson Twins, Depeche Mode, et all. But what do I know.

During the 1980s I was following the crossover of Latin musicians into white people’s music beginning with salsa, nueva rumba, chachau, Milton Nascimiento, all them Puerto Rican singers, Cuban stuff, lots of latin horns, Hilton Ruiz . . . . stuff most entitled artsy white kids didn’t know existed as they contemplated why the fuzz in their navels always returned after cleaning it out. It my have had something to do with my then partner (1980-1995) having been a latin jazz percussionist, even though he was Japanese American. My dear Kenji chan sure had rhythm.

But hey, I did hear all of those British groups too. I just never bothered to buy any of their albums. Somehow Morrissey fell through the noise in my life. Go figure.

You realize, of course, there is a point in the 80s through the 90s where all the grunge band music sounds like Kurt Cobain? Doesn’t matter who is singing/playing. It all sounds like the Kurt.

          • Lazycrockett

They didn’t go deep enough and get into The Smiths, The Cure, Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and the other goth sounds that were percolating at the time. People can think that The Smiths were utter shit, but their influence on music is undeniable.

          • fuzzybits

I agree. My friends and I were into the whole industrial scene too.

The human rights records of Muslim majority countries are not good. But I would point out that it was less than 15 years ago that homosexual relations were criminal in these here United States.

          • Reasonoverhate

Our society is progressing while theirs is regressing. And we weren’t putting people to death for being gay or caning them in the public square. Did you see the caning video posted earlier? Did you see the number of people cheering? All religion is bullshit. Islam happens to be the one currently committing the most atrocities!

          • ErikDC

Fanaticism is not confined to any one religion. Did you read about the mob of Hindu’s who beat to death two Muslim men this year for transporting dairy cows? That’s not the first time that’s happened in India, either.

          • Reasonoverhate

            Wow…..

          • ErikDC

That’s happened multiple times just this year. Here are two instances.

            https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/05/world/asia/india-cow-mob-hindu-vigilantes.html

            http://www.cbsnews.com/news/2-muslim-men-beaten-to-death-over-claims-of-cow-theft-in-india/

So yeah, maybe Islamic radicalism is the most prominent among religious faiths right now, but just wait a minute, there will be others.

          • Reasonoverhate

I’m not going to defend a religion that wants to see me tortured or killed. I’m a progressive, a Hillary and Obama supporter, and was fit to be tied when Trump won. But I agree with Bill Maher on the islam topic. Liberals are completely wrong in not admitting that islam is a large part of the problem!

          • ErikDC

You realize you’re doing exactly what ISIS and its sympathizers want, right? They are trying to foment a war between Islam and the west. Because right now they don’t have anywhere near enough people. But if they could get the 1.5 billion Muslims of the world to believe the west is at war with their faith, then ISIS would never need to recruit again. The cupboard would be stocked.

So what you must do, to ensure this situation does not spiral out of control, is simply accept this will not change for the foreseeable future and move on. Sometimes you need to accept there are things in this life you can not change. Law enforcement and military will continue to hunt those responsible for these criminal acts. As with all crime, it will be a game of wack-a-mole.

        • ultragreen

44% of Muslims in the United States support same-sex marriage. That’s a higher level of support than what can be found among several conservative Christian groups (Mormon, Evangelical Protestant, Jehovah’s Witness).

        • Edmund Allin

The Ottomans decriminalised homosexuality in 1858. Yep, a full hundred years before the dear old UK. You can’t blame them if almost everyone else re-criminalised after independence or (in the case of Cyprus) British rule.

but your wrist twists and mirror symmetry and it’s the same shape so I don’t really see how that helps . . .

I didn’t finally learn left from right until I started driving, and still have to remind myself that its turns through traffic are left turns and turns allowed on red are right turns. I still have to think through lower-case b, d, p, and depending on the font, q (but at least it doesn’t sound like those others, but can get confused with g).

        • safari

And in Michigan we invented a new type of left just to be sure we’re all confused.

Not sure which will be the scariest tomorrow, pics of the Trump clan with the Pope, or the Trumpcare CBO score.

    • I do not fear the AHCA’s CBO score. In fact, I hope it is as horrific as people believe it likely to be. I want it to be shown Rep Tom MacArthur’s amendment letting insurance companies charge whatever the like for pre-existing conditions will result in millions more uninsured, because if the pre-ACA days taught us anything, health insurance companies will define ANY chronic or permanent condition as ‘pre-existing’ if it makes them more money.

I want these Republican blood-monsters to fucking choke on what they’re trying to do to their fellow American citizens, and for everyone who voted GOP for any reason to realize their party wants them suffering, broke, and dead.

Witnessing the Trump crime family with the Pope? Meh. Frankie can handle those goons and molls.

    • Skeptical_Inquirer

I’d rather the CBO show that it’s even worse than Trumpcare 1.0. And I’d like to see the GOPers try to explain it to their people. I swear we’re just a couple weeks away from the GOP pol slipping up and saying “Die, assholes, die!” to his base.

      • It’s funny how just a few years of “I / my loved one don’t need to die” becomes something most people, regardless of their politics, think should be a basic human right.

There are a LOT of folks who either are or know someone close who’ll die if ACA is repealed and AHCA/Trumpcare replaces it. And it’s not hyperbole either.

        • Skeptical_Inquirer

IIRC, Charles Krauthammer in a glum mood said that the GOP shenanigans have basically guaranteed the rise of single payer in 7 years. In any case, nobody wants to go back to the bad old days and I think a lot more people nowadays know that other countries don’t have our kind of problems.

          • Just the simple addition of “they can’t turn you down or charge you more if you’re sick or have any kind of chronic condition, plus no more benefit caps” was the most important reform of all.

What people haven’t yet seen or realized that “see ANY doctor you like” is what people in Canada enjoy. Plus minimal paperwork.

            ‘Medicare-for-All’ could easily work.

Yay cats in cartons. Our Maine Coon, Norma would sit in a shoe box, the seams tearing open, her formidable hips causing the box to bulge, and she’d look over her shoulder at us as if to ask, “does this box make my ass look big?”

      • Skeptical_Inquirer

Here’s a fun video by one of my favorite Youtube channels explaining why they love boxes so much.

        https://youtu.be/Bbbxd4Tm0F4

        • TuuxKabin

Thanks. That cat looks like our ol’ Norma. Everything in her domain belong to her and she had nothing but disdain for us. We did everything for that damn cat. I went to a therapist, and at the end of my first visit she asked me, “have you tried being nice to the bitch?”

In New York’s 9th Assembly, Democratic candidate Christine Pellegrino beat republican Thomas Garigulo, despite trumps victory 60-37 last year. Pulling off an upset in the heavily republican district.

    • SoCalGal20

And another blue seat in NY state was won by a Dem who says he’s going to caucus with the mainline Dems, not IDC (NY State politics is weird).

      https://twitter.com/taniel/status/867222186687332352

      • Ninja0980

IDC are Dinos helping Republicans keep control of the Senate, with Cuomo’s blessing.
Each and everyone of the IDC folks needs to go and if Cuomo doesn’t like that, too damn bad.

        • I wouldn’t even call them Democrats even in name only. If they caucus with the Republicans, they’re Republicans.

        • TuuxKabin

Cuomo’s got to shape up or we ship him out. He is not a progressive governor of a so called progressive state if all we can call ‘early voting’ is voting at 6AM the day of voting, when the polls open.

      • TuuxKabin

Marisol Alcantara said the same thing then joined the other 7 in their IDC and have been successful in wrecking some progressive proposals. Every other week I send her a post card reminding her of her LIE. I hope Benjamin keeps his campaign promise. You’re correct (I’d never call you ‘right’) NYS politics is weird. Deranged too.

Moz, if the word ‘twat’ didn’t already exist and describe
you so perfectly, we would have to invent it for that purpose.

    • zhera

As a twat owner I resent having the Moz compared to twats. He’s neither useful nor a pleasure.

      • saucetin

Also an owner. & If you resent the literal association, then understand it (somewhat obviously) as non-anatomical. Call him an aneurism instead

        • Lars Littlefield

I suggest y’all go back and rethink the whole Moz thing. For a very long time (thousands of years) the name/word has meant a hoodoo; hex. 2. put the moz on, to jinx. Word Origin. short for mozzle, from Hebrew mazzal luck.

Seems to me someone’s being lazy about making up a new designation with cache. “The Moz” ain’t got no cache.

          • saucetin

A hoodoo, as in a column of stone in, say, desert southwest
US parklands? Chiricahua AZ and Escalante UT in particular

*I barely think about the guy so, all the better to sever that assoc.

          • Lars Littlefield

Yeah, sort of. I guess. But That kind of a hoodoo was named by Mormons with tepid imaginations. We don’t pay much attention to them, if ever. πŸ™‚

          • saucetin

“Do your friends call you Morrissey? Steven? Mozzer? or Moz?

“I’ve asked people to stop calling me “Moz” – it isn’t me, it doesn’t suit me and sounds like something you’d squirt on a kitchen floor.”

            ID mag July 2003

p.s.–If Moz were to be squirted, it should never be onto kitchen floor.”

          • Lars Littlefield

            Hah! That’s hysterical. πŸ™‚
I finally did check out Morrissey on Youtube. I even made it through two whole “songs.” Yea gods! What a precious little whiny bitch. Such 1980 20th Century problems that child suffered. LOL!

I think of Stan’s Smith’s dream celebrity kill, since he also wants to get rid of Susan Sarandon.

This lady she ain’t worth shit anymore, might as well give her a MAGA shirt and hat because that is exactly who she is. A traitor to this country and a selfish woman that pretends she gives a damn when she has nothing to lose from the people we elect.

      • Ninja0980

        She proved that with W.
As it stands, My family (most of them) have made it a point to boycott anything with her in it.

        • Blake J Butler

Lest we also forget 2008, john Edwards was the kind of candidate Jesus would vote for.

      • Bryan

Well unless I’m mistaken Stan also probably had something to do with that, as I recall he went back in time and unmade Taxi Driver (er… made it starring John Wayne) and altered the timeline. We unfortunately must not have reaped the benefits of him correcting it, we’re still with Minus World’s (Oppositeland’s?) Sarandon.

    • Max_1

      Sue who???

    • Jean-Marc in Canada

Saradon is irrelevant now. She had her moment in the sun, but chose to fuck over LGBT, women and people with healthcare for the sake of her own ego. If I were to see her drowning, my only impulse would be to point, giggle and walk away…such is her importance.

She has to be wearing a wig. a really really bad one.

      • i don’t make fun of people who have to wear wigs. it’s a painful topic in my family. you’re probably not wrong, and yes, she looks like the girl who didn’t ever get invited to prom, but still.

people have to wear wigs for a reason, sometimes. i don’t wish cancer or other hair-loss causing diseases on anyone. they do look like a couple of freaks, by their facial expressions. that you can make fun of all day long and i won’t complain.

BREAKING: Marriage equality in Taiwan! We won! First victory in Asia!! Next will be Germany, Australia, Nepal, and Vietnam.

  • IAMBOWLINGGREEN

    While Morrissey regresses, Taiwan progresses…

    https://twitter.com/evanwolfson/status/867298521317355520

  • Tommy

It’s a short but lovely ruling by the Taiwan Constitutional Court. In some ways, it is better than Obergefell because it expressly recognizes gay people as a minority/suspect class entitled to heightened judicial protection when a law targets them. Taiwan News has provided an English translation:

    http://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en/news/3171403

“[T]the freedom of marriage for two persons of the same sex, once legally recognized, will constitute the collective basis, together with opposite-sex marriage, for a stable society. The need, capability, willingness and longing, in both physical and psychological senses, for creating such permanent unions of intimate and exclusive nature are equally essential to homosexuals and heterosexuals, given the importance of the freedom of marriage to the sound development of personality and safeguarding of human dignity. Both types of union shall be protected by the freedom of marriage under Article 22 of the Constitution. The current provisions of the Marriage Chapter do not allow two persons of the same sex to create a permanent union of intimate and exclusive nature for the committed purpose of managing a life together. This is obviously a gross legislative flaw. To such extent, the provisions of the Marriage Chapter are incompatible with the spirit and meaning of the freedom of marriage as protected by Article 22 of the Constitution.”

  • kareemachan

    What a wanker.

  • CJAS

I wondering if he insisted that the Queen and politicians decry “Catholic extremists” when the IRA who bombed Manchester in 1996?

  • Barry William Teske

    Oh look!
It’s another rich white man channeling his fortune into HATE.

    • ECarpenter

Whiteness did not cause Morrissey’s mental deficiencies, they would be there no matter what color he was. He’s just an assh0le, plain and simple. No need to bring race into it.

      • Barry William Teske

        Bull

  • James

Morissey’s parents immigrated to England just like the bomber’s parents. Morissey’s parents are Irish, a group particularly associated with terrorism in Manchester, where he and the bomber were both born. Curtailing immgration wouldn’t have prevented the IRA bombings, and it wouldn’t have prevented the Manchester Arena bombings either.

  • Gianni

Another walking irrelevancy with nothing worthwhile to say.

  • They know that there are all kinds of dangerous extremists, including christian extremists. Islam is the least of my worries as christian extremism is carried out domestically here almost daily.
