Former Clinton Aide Huma Abedin Files For Divorce After Anthony Weiner Pleads Guilty In Sexting Case

Anthony Weiner’s bad day keeps getting worse. Hours after the pervy pol pleaded guilty on a federal sex charge, estranged wife Huma Abedin filed Friday for divorce from her disgraced husband, sources told the Daily News.

Abedin announced her plans to end their marriage last August after another cyber-scandal — a creepy Twitter pic featuring the ex-pol’s bulging crotch in a photo of his son. The couple, parents of 5-year-old Jordan, would have celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary on July 10.

Earlier today:

“I have a sickness, but I do not have an excuse,” Weiner said in his admission to the court. “I apologize to everyone I have hurt. I apologize to the teenage girl, whom I mistreated so badly.” Once the plea was entered, prosecutors said they will ask for 21 to 27 months in prison for Weiner. He will be required to register as a sex offender under the deal.

Weiner wept as he read the four-paragraph statement where he detailed his years of compulsive sexual behavior, ending with last year’s explicit contact with a North Carolina high schooler. Weiner’s laptop computer even helped sabotage Clinton’s shot at the White House. He pleaded to transferring obscene material to a minor, and could face up to 10 years in prison.
