Former Clinton Aide Huma Abedin Files For Divorce After Anthony Weiner Pleads Guilty In Sexting Case

The New York Daily News reports:

Anthony Weiner’s bad day keeps getting worse. Hours after the pervy pol pleaded guilty on a federal sex charge, estranged wife Huma Abedin filed Friday for divorce from her disgraced husband, sources told the Daily News.

Abedin announced her plans to end their marriage last August after another cyber-scandal — a creepy Twitter pic featuring the ex-pol’s bulging crotch in a photo of his son. The couple, parents of 5-year-old Jordan, would have celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary on July 10.

Earlier today:

“I have a sickness, but I do not have an excuse,” Weiner said in his admission to the court. “I apologize to everyone I have hurt. I apologize to the teenage girl, whom I mistreated so badly.” Once the plea was entered, prosecutors said they will ask for 21 to 27 months in prison for Weiner. He will be required to register as a sex offender under the deal.

Weiner wept as he read the four-paragraph statement where he detailed his years of compulsive sexual behavior, ending with last year’s explicit contact with a North Carolina high schooler. Weiner’s laptop computer even helped sabotage Clinton’s shot at the White House. He pleaded to transferring obscene material to a minor, and could face up to 10 years in prison.

    Your turn Melania.

    • pj

as if…..don will never resign. never give up. everybody is wrong. melania would be smart to hold on until he has a stroke.

Cautionary tale. Control your dick or it will ruin your life and can of those around you.

      LEGAL AGE porn…

I’m grateful to JMG to be able to use the language I want to use on occasion.
    Fucking idiot.

  • Mike_in_the_Tundra

With apologies to Amy Schumer, Weiner is the true train wreck. (with an unfortunate last name)

  • Dejerrity Mycron

I hear he bought a house next door to a playground.
    What could possibly go wrong?

  • IAMBOWLINGGREEN

And the Trump fans who celebrate Anthony Weiner’s downfall, support a man who has admitted to sexually assaulting women and going into teenage girls locker rooms to leer at their bodies.

  • Jonathan Smith
    • edrex

      try a round of doxycycline.

      • Jonathan Smith

        OUCH

  • He had numerous chances to seek help, yet didn’t. Now it’s going to cost him everything he thought he valued. I guess that would be justice, if not for the fact his addiction included damage to his victims, and apologies alone won’t undo what he did.

The truly sad thing though is while Anthony Weiner will likely spend years in prison, America’s President is a man who bragged openly about sexually assaulting women, was reported to barge in on underaged girls in states of undress, and has been rumored to have committed rapes of underaged girls…and for him there are no consequences whatsoever.

    • Todd20036

He doesn’t deserve prison. Hope he doesn’t get that.

  • Bad Tom

She is well rid of him. He was slimy up and down.

  • another_steve

    So, like, what?

She thought, maybe, he was a saint… until his guilty plea?

    • Prost Seattle

My take? She’s pissed, and hell yeah I’m filing on the same day as his guilty plea. Ruin my name and damage my family? I will hurt you 10 times more than you hurt me.

Or at least that’s how I’d play my cards.

      • another_steve

Quite possibly that’s it, Prost Seattle.

Or possibly she was holding out with the hope that maybe he’d be cleared of all charges and she wouldn’t have to go through a messy divorce that would bring disgrace upon her and her entire family.

        His pleading guilty ended that.

      • BobSF_94117

It seems more like something a dickish divorce attorney would do.

  • Anastasia Beaverhousen

In exchange for parole rather than jail, Anthony Weiner will be joining the RCC and become Fr. Weiner. “Let us kneel.”

    • Tawreos

So he wants to take a step up on the sexual predator ladder?

  • Imagine what her list of “things that I want to keep” for the divorce lawyer will look like:
    1. The computer
    2. The rolodex
    3. All computers come to think of it
    4. Anything with “memory” on it
    5. Anything that has been signed by Bill, Hill, or the O’s. You can keep the Bernie stuff.
    6. I want all jewelry except the crap that your mother passed along.
    7. You can keep all the electronics from your sister. The wedding gifts were cheap anyway.
    8. You can keep all the photo albums with stains on it unless it has pictures of my hot young cousins from Great Neck Long Island in it (at the time they were young) — the ones with the big knockers and the see-through dresses so you can see the big nips. Because you are disgusting!
    9. You can keep all the vibrating sex toys.

    • Gustav2

And the kid, but that goes without saying.

    • another_steve

“6. I want all jewelry except the crap that your mother passed along.”

Generations of Jewish bubbes do not pass along “crap.”

      Take that back, Eddi.

      • LOL. That is not true. Some of us poor ones ended up with a 40 year old Danish Modern Coffee Table that is NOT collectible. I am not joking.

        • safari

Perhaps you could rent it out as a period piece? I’m reminded of a woman who went to a grocery store that (yes, ew) never really purged its shelves over decades. She ended up buying the very-expired foodstuffs and then rented them to Holllywood for period-specific settings.

          • Conversation with my mom-
Me– you really need to get rid of some of these expired canned soups. They are from the Bush administration.
Mom– Which Bush? — If its #1 you can throw them out already. #2 is OK.

          • Skokieguy [Larry]

My mom is now selling things she got as wedding gifts on Craigslist and several pieces have ended up as props for TV / Movies (Yes, that’s our family’s hotplate in a kitchen scene on Chicago Fire – we couldn’t be more proud)

          • fuzzybits

Damn,I should’ve saved all those food cans from my childhood!

        • another_steve

          Lol. Understood, my friend. 😉

I’ve told this story before on JMG, so apologies to anyone who has already read it.

My mama and the family were gathered at a family function and mama stopped the conversation to go into her bedroom and bring out the lovely diamond earrings my father had bought her for their 50th wedding anniversary.

“Someday, these will be yours, my darling,” she said to my niece (her grand-daughter).

The rest of the family was understandably overcome with emotional farklemptness upon hearing that.

And then my niece looked up, innocently, and replied:

          “But when, grandma?”

      • Skokieguy [Larry]

Well it depends if the Mother in law approves. It could be, “I’ll be damned if I’ll give Aunt Esther’s good pearls to that damned gold digging nafkeh.

**goes through emergency gift shelf, wraps up re-giftable vaguely ethnic Pier 1 trinket box. Here’ this will be good enough for the tramp.**

[ProTip: ALL Jews have an Aunt Esther.]

        • another_steve

“I’ll be damned if I’ll give Aunt Esther’s good pearls to that damned gold digging nafkeh.”

LMAO! I should be damned if I didn’t hear that exact thing (or a minor variation thereof) during my childhood!

(Btw, my father had three sisters and one of them was named “Esther.”)

    • safari

I had a friends whose male ex took all her vibrators.

It is a Saint Vitus Dance in honor of Trump’s visit to Rome.

    • Excerpt:

“I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job,” Mr. Trump said, according to the document, which was read to The New York Times by an American official. “I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.”

Mr. Trump added, “I’m not under investigation.”

No, you sausage-fingered gombeen. You and everyone near you most certainly ARE under investigation. By the press. By the FBI. By the CIA and other intelligence agencies. By what’s likely to be at least two grand juries. And now by Robert Mueller.

      • BearEyes

I hope Mueller and the agencies accept this challenge

A great documentary about Anthony Weiner (“Weiner:) came out last year. It documents how his personal behavior doomed his potential as a political leaders, with sympathies for all affected by his scandal and certain amount of humor. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5278596/combined

“Former Clinton Aide Huma Abedin Files For Divorce”

    Took long enough.

What kind of message does it send to women when “feminists” like Huma and Hillary stay married to these misogynists for years, even after they’re caught? It says “I put my career over my principals”.

PLEASE don’t run in 2020, Hillary.
