The Washington Examiner reports:
Former President George H.W. Bush on Thursday paid tribute to Roger Ailes, the founder of Fox News, who acted as a political consultant to Bush and other Republican presidents. “He wasn’t perfect, but Roger Ailes was my friend and I loved him,” Bush wrote Thursday on Twitter. “Not sure I would have been President without his great talent, loyal help. RIP.” Ailes, who was ousted as the head of Fox News last summer after a series of sexual harassment allegations, died earlier in the morning. He was 77.
Some of us would give that credit to Michael Dukakis.
He wasn’t perfect, but Roger Ailes was my friend & I loved him. Not sure I would have been President w/o his great talent, loyal help. RIP.
