The New York Daily News reports:
The Trump White House’s war against the media became real for a moment Wednesday. Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, appearing alongside President Trump at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy graduation ceremony, reportedly suggested the commander-in-chief use a ceremonial sword against the media.
Kelly, referring to the ceremonial saber Trump was presented with at the commencement ceremony, suggested jokingly to his boss to “use that on the press, sir,” CNN reported Wednesday, citing audio picked up on a nearby microphone. While it appeared to be joke, the Trump administration’s threats against reporters have been no laughing matter.

The image of Trump trying to decapitate a journalist with a saber is darkly comical, the head of DHS suggesting it is ~fucking awful~
