Seth Meyers Tees Off On Trump’s Civil War Comments

Seth Meyers had a lot of material to work with on Monday night. In addition to hammering Donald Trump over his recent comments praising authoritarian dictators, the “Late Night” host ridiculed the president for wondering why the Civil War “could not have been worked out.”

“Trump clearly does not have a firm grasp on the basic aspects of being president, let alone basic facts about American history,” Meyers said. He added: “There’s a reason Abraham Lincoln is on the $5 instead of Alex Trebek.”
