The President Of The Philippines Is Killing Thousands And Trump Just Invited Him To The White House

The New York Times reports:

President Trump on Saturday invited the president of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, to the White House, embracing an authoritarian leader who is accused of ordering extrajudicial killings of drug suspects and who crudely disparaged Mr. Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama.

Mr. Trump had a “very friendly conversation with Mr. Duterte,” according to a statement issued by the White House late Saturday. It said that the two leaders “discussed the fact that the Philippines is fighting very hard to rid its country of drugs.”

In fact, Mr. Duterte’s war on drugs has resulted in the deaths of several thousand people suspected of using or selling narcotics, as well as others who may have had no involvement with drugs. Human rights groups and many Western governments have condemned Mr. Duterte for the bloody campaign.

Duterte has bragged of “personally” murdering suspected criminals and has compared himself favorably to Adolf Hitler, saying that he would happily execute millions of drug users.

Actually, it’s Dr. Johan Galtung’s prediction that’s coming to fruition. By 2020 we will no longer have an empire and the nation will be under fascist control. He made that prediction in 1999 and now we know PRECISELY who will be at the helm when our nation’s demise will take place.

The deplorables won’t be happy without their drugs. Donald “Snort into the Mic” Trump won’t be happy without his drugs.

Be careful what you hope for.

  • Halou

Donald Trump, the president who hates Europe with a passion but defiles the White House by inviting for a visit a man who murders people who are simply suspected (not convicted) of a crime. Trump calls Turkey’s president-turned-dictator to congratulate him on the killing of his nation’s democracy. Trump wants to ‘get along well with Russia’ no matter how many of America’s traditional allies are lost in the process.
Trump is bringing untold shame and dishonor to the Office of the President of the United States, such that after four years I don’t think that it would be worth keeping.

  • Trump Jr. has been visiting the Philippines this year – it seems there is a new Trump resort nearing completion. That alone is enough of a reason for 45 to ignore Duterte’s record and welcome him with open arms. Either the media is ignoring that as the reason or they are ignorant. Help spread the word.

    • sword

Media’s corporate masters would never allow their talking heads to present the real facts to the US public.

    • Dicky

The media, for a more contemporary issue, would probably bring up the South China Sea and all of those sovereignty issues as a reason for the US to be so attentive. For less contemporary, there would be Duterte’s military version of the War on Drugs. As to basics, they could just be looking for either infrastructure and business investment or increased immigration quotas for more expatriate remittances. The sinister version of the basics is “enrich the country while making sure most of the smart ones leave but still have ties here so the country still gets a cut.”

    • DesertSun59

The media is slowly but surely becoming complicit in 45’s fascist takeover. They’re reporting him as if he’s normal now.

      • They’ve done so since the campaigning became serious. For the most part they were complicit in him winning – although it couldn’t have happened without Crosscheck, redistricting, voter ID laws & insecure machines – something else they conveniently ignored for the most part. Now that he’s in office, they continue to take his self-contradicting ramblings and present them as coherent policy. They also pretend that an Administration in chaos & continual upheaval is no worse for our country than a bad reality show.

The ironic thing is that a lot of the drug addicts in our country are members of the Trumpeteer base or family members of the base who want them rehabilitated not shot in the streets.

Yeesh, it would probably take Trump pulling a Duterte on their loved ones for the Trumpeteers to go “Family member dead! Maybe me vote bad!” Or are they so debased they see it as permission granted to be “angels of mercy.”

    • Dicky

They would probably just say their loved ones are in a better place, at least if they were accused of crimes or drug use. Then they would just be happy they have clean hands.

Suspected drug users. Accused drug users. Alleged drug users.

When you kill them first, with pleasure, there is no need for a trial to adjudicate the facts.

Very handy to deal with political opponents. Who all, amazingly enough, are suspected drug users.

I am not surprised. I think this is more of tRumps racist hatred of Obama coming to the fore. He is still angry that Obama humiliated him at the correspondents’ dinner years ago, and is carrying on with his golden shower hissy fit. The fact that the American people let him get away with this shit of cozying up to a mass murderer, though, makes me despair for America. I guess he could murder someone in cold blood, and the mindless masses would find a way to excuse it. Deplorables!

  • Gianni

Donnie loves dictators. I get the sense that he envies them so much because they can govern in ways that he can’t. He has years left in office to continue weaning us away from this democracy thing. Free press is bad and fake; Democrats are bad and losers; federal judges are bad and hate him; federal agencies have too many rules that try to protect our environment and health; etc. Of course, Donnie doesn’t want to be a “Dictator” – “King” will do. It’s a fact that before becoming President, he was a king in his business world. When he issued orders, his subordinates made things happen.
