LIVE VIDEO: Trump Holds Presser With Italian PM

Starting now. CBS News reports:

The prime minister’s visit comes a month prior to Mr. Trump’s scheduled visit to Italy for his first G7 summit, where the leaders of the U.S., Italy, Germany, Canada, France, Japan and Britain will discuss the economy and, likely, national and global security issues. The G-7 nations have attempted to pressure Russia to put an end to Syria’s civil war, without much success.

  • ByronK

Many of the 18 million Italians in America are his friends? LOL

    • Tawreos

I am sure that his favorites are the heads of big families

  • safari

There’s going to be some “misspeaking” about how much he loves pasta, isn’t there?

    • Jon Doh

He has friends at Olive Garden.

    • billbear1961

      lol

  • MikeBx2

President Know Nothing is about to once again embarrass our nation. Please stand by.

  • yes b’y

I hope Gentiloni calls him a vavoso

  • Gustav2
    • Sam_Handwich

      well that’s an odd set

      • billbear1961

        minimalist

    • Capritaur

I love this production! Though now I have mixed feelings about Netrebko due to her chumminess with Putin (she might have to, blink twice!), and I’m agonizing whether to see the Met Live HD of Eugene Onegin this weekend because of her.

  • Natty Enquirer

    “very very” … drink!

    • Natty Enquirer

      again

      • That_Looks_Delicious

Aha. So that explains Steve Bannon.

  • Sam_Handwich
    • safari

I’m to terrified to click the clip. Really?

      • Sam_Handwich

        yes really

        • Cuberly

Is it me or has he been even more doddery since Easter.

          • safari

He “lost” a carrier fleet. In 2017.

          • Paula

Well, to be fair, it wasn’t a whole fleet. It was only a Battle Group. 😉 Only 11 ships instead of 60. But, give him time, I am sure he will.

    • Natty Enquirer

This is silly hay-making. Trump’s tone carried no sense of present tense.

      • safari

        Frederick Douglass is concerned.

        • yes b’y

          Frederico Douglasconi

          • safari

Does that come with a red or cream sauce?

          • Tawreos

Cream sauce ideally, but it could depend on the season.

    • Capritaur

As an opera queen who’s already too snobbish to enjoy Pavarotti, this certainly does not help either of their causes.

      • Mike__in_Houston

Then you must really love Bocelli…

        • Capritaur

Totes, him and Josh Groban, and my favorite opera is the Phantom.

    • billbear1961

      Is this yet another slip?

      Really–it’s starting to get scary.

    • The_Wretched

I guess we should be happy he mentioned chocolate cake when with the Chinese Premier instead of egg rolls or egg-foo-young.

    • Igby

He’s talking about Fred Pavarotti. The landscaper at Mar-a-Lago.

      • Charlenejrowe

Managing director of Google!, is explaining to users to start off “Work at home” method, that People have been doing for about one year now. These days alone, I generated close to $36,000 until now with no more than my home computer as well as some spare time, despite that i have a fulltime 9 to 5 job. Even everyone not used to this, can make $89/per h easily and the earnings can go even higher over time… This is how i started

      O_O

      • Gustav2

And the great inventor of radio, Macaroni!

        • billbear1961

          LOL

          *falls over*

        • billbear1961

          Stop it–stop it–stop it!!

          😀

        • billbear1961

We were watching a clip from “Spitting Image” recently with a grovelling “journalist” crawling down the corridor of a palace to make it to an interview with the Queen.

I could NOT stop laughing, hysterically, for at least FIVE minutes. I hadn’t laughed like that in at least a YEAR.

          This is very similar!

Thank you–I didn’t know laughter like this was still possible in the new Dark Ages!

          xoxo

          • Gustav2

            I am here to serve.

          • billbear1961

Spicey clarified : ‘The President was very clear. It was the ghost of Pavarotti. Period’

      • safari

        “Seriously, are you okay?”

    • Treant

      Gently with a chainsaw.

    • Bryan

“Quick, Donald! Name-check the only famous Italian person you know!”

    • Michael R
      • Lars Littlefield

        Lard have merci.

    • That_Looks_Delicious

I can’t wait for Pavarotti’s upcoming duet album with Frederick Douglass. I hear they’re doing great things together.

    • William

      Pavarotti, Pelosi, whatever.

    • Mike__in_Houston

Probably time to bring out once again the “days without being a national embarrassment: 0” sign…

    • ChrisMorley

      And to the Pope:
“I look very much forward to meeting the pope,” said on Thursday in a
joint press conference at the White House with Italian prime minister
      Paolo Gentiloni.
Minutes later Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, admitted
that the meeting has not yet been confirmed.
      Trump’s assertion now risks
      making a non-meeting look like a snub.

    • Paula

Wait! I thought Puccini was Italian for pussy?

  • Tawreos

Will it be Trump or Spicer that starts praising Mussolini?

  • PickyPecker

‘Very, Very’ seems to be dRUMPf’s favorite phrase, right up there with the new ‘we’ll see what happens.’ idiot.

    • safari

The verbal ticks will continue to get shorter as his mind goes.

      • Bryan

Soon it’ll just be, “ayup, ayyyup.”

        • William

Only if he transforms into a Mainer.

      • The_Wretched

There’s renewed interest in the question of Trump’s mental capacity recently when he was referring to Rand Paul as Ron.

    • Capritaur

I can’t stand the word “tremendous” anymore because of Trump.

      • bunnysanford

I shudder every time I start to make a thumbs-up, for the same reason. Ugh.

    • MikeBx2

“We’ll see what happens” means I don’t have a clue but will let you know when someone informs me what to say.

  • Igby

He is in his uniform again.

    • safari

Like the blob, I think Steve is capable of absorbing living material through direct contact with his bodily surface. Jared should be careful.

      • Jon Doh

As Dame Edna would say, he has yawning pores.

  • PickyPecker

‘I want to rebuild our country…’ wft is that supposed to mean? That he’s going to burn it to the ground first and then remake it as a gold spray-painted paradise?

  • TimCA

I just tuned in. Are we at war with Italy yet? Will our carrier group be parked off the coast of Naples…..once he’s located it again?

    • djcoastermark

Make sure we know which Naples. Someone get a map, there are several. The one in Florida or that other one on the other side of the world? People of Marco, you had better be worried.

  • MikeBx2

His answer would be “we’ll see what happens”.

“I take a hand full of pills. The blue ones are my favorite. I then wash them down with a large diet coke and french fries.”

  • coram nobis

La Repubblica and Corriere della Sera seem to have shifted their lead stories to the situation in Paris.

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/apr/20/paris-shooting-policeman-killed-on-champs-elysees

Even Corriere’s headline on the PM’s trip to the WH is “E Gentiloni incontra Trump
alla Casa Bianca durante l’attentato di Parigi.”

    • Lars Littlefield

Paris was bombed again? Today? WTF?

      • coram nobis

Some kind of shooting on the Champs Elysée. Two policemen dead according to latest.

        • That_Looks_Delicious

One policeman dead, one wounded, shooter dead.

          • William

DW News reported that a second policeman had died.

          • That_Looks_Delicious

I see that now. The Le Pen family didn’t wait for the bodies to be cold to jump on it for political gain.

          • William

            It’s what vultures do.

          • billbear1961

            Of course, they didn’t.

I hope the people of France realize that they are being deliberately manipulated into voting for Le Pen.

The terrorists WANT an all-out war between cultures, and it’s western fascists who will provide one for them.

The fascists among us and the Islamic variety make strange allies–they NEED one another in their quest for power in their respective communities.

  • William

Trump was hoping to meet that Berlusconi fellow. He knows how to find the best pussy.

  • Danieruw

Another world leader who does not look thrilled to be standing next to Drumpf!
