TROLLTASTIC: Twitter Robot Responds To Every Trump Tweet With Video Of Tweet Being Burned [VIDEO]

The Telegraph reports:

Donald Trump has another political foe to worry about, with his latest adversary coming in the form of an insubordinate robot. A robot designed simply to burn every single tweet sent by Mr Trump has amassed thousands of Twitter followers.

The Burned Your Tweet robot automatically prints out the president’s latest tweets before setting fire to the piece of paper and dropping them it into an ashtray. It doesn’t stop there however, with the robot then sending Mr Trump a video of it burning the tweets for its blaze of crowning glory.

That is so cool! Looks like some engineer had a blast building the machine. I love it!
    Keep up the good work!

I bet this is Spicer’s guilty pleasure after a long day of lying to the press.

  • Rex

That’s gonna be a helluva lot of ashes in no time.

    • Macbill

There will be so much carbon, they can build a new life form.

    • David Walker

They working on a robot that will empty the ashtray, pummel the ashes, and blow them on 45’s portrait…one of the many he’s had commissioned. All of this in the interest of science. How long before the mound of ashes covers the portrait? The combination is practically Nobel-worthy. There are also some Pulitzer possibilities. FoxTV is trying to figure out how to make a series out of it.

Can we program to also burn executive orders?

    • olandp

The courts seem to be doing a good job of that.

      • The_Wretched

EO aren’t meant to accomplish legislation. Obama was pretty careful to limit them to avoid getting overturned wholesale by the courts. Trump? Not so much.

    • Uncle Mark

Can we program it to also burn the source of the tweets?

      • Johnny Wyeknot

        Like a funeral pyre

        • Uncle Mark

More like an orange Hindenburg, except louder and with more gas.

  • olandp

I’d bet that Don the Con would like to do that to many of his tweets.

    • Bj Lincoln

It would mean he has regrets or is ashamed and that is never going to happen. He can’t feel those things because in his mind he can not be a loser.

  • Stogiebear

    Tsk, tsk, tsk. Ash flick.

  • Rex

Seems appropriate, since Donnie’s burning up everything else.

      Stealing… hehehe

    Twitter proves useful at last.

The plastic looks like it might be 3D printed. The device that cuts the paper looks like a pair of Fiskar’s attached with cable ties. And a classic metal butane lighter to ignite the paper.

The robot spends a minimum of time holding the paper in the flame, probably to avoid melting the plastic.
Fun with robots! But I’m not sure I’d leave it burning tweets all by itself while I went to the store.

    • ColdCountry

If you’re going to burn all of them, you might have to. You might even need a second robot.

  • Alpha Tango

Excellent, a robot destroyed the job yet of another American who made a living monitoring and burning tweets.

  • SoCalGal20
    • Brooklyn Joe

      i can’t even

    • Silver Badger

Hopefully he is doing his own archiving.

    • ColdCountry

Modern day book burning. The New Dark Ages are here, though it does sound as though Canada started it – which surprises me.

  • Brooklyn Joe

American ingenuity and go-get-’em-ism at its best!

  • Jay George

Fix it with fire pretty much been my gut reaction too.

  • Dreaming Vertebrate

Cognitive tests also show the robot is about 10X smarter than your typical Trump voter.

    • zhera

It’s doing what it’s supposed to do. When was the last time the Puppet did that?

      • (((GC)))

45* is doing exactly what he’s supposed to, for the short-term benefit of large multinational corporations. Never mind actual people.

  • Jean-Marc in Canada

Another valuable job a human could be doing, taken over by automation. Sigh!

  • David in Palm Springs

So they don’t have a larger version for human-size objects? Pity.

  • Acronym Jim

Yeah, but does it do windows?

    “What is my purpose?”
    “Burn Trump’s tweet.”

    “What is my purpose?”
    “You burn Trump’s tweets.”
    “…. Oh my God.”
    “Yeah, join the club, Pal.”

      • KnownDonorDad

I was wondering how many people would get the reference. Well done.

        • perversatile

‘Rick & Morty’ resonates with me on some deeply fucked-up gleeful level.

          • KnownDonorDad

I recommend Bojack Horseman, if you’d like something with even darker humor, and more realistic (despite featuring a world where anthropomorphic animals coexist with humans).

          • perversatile

The damaged celebrity trope doesn’t do it for me, (as these are the type of people I work with on a daily basis) tho the idea of a rabidly misogynistic horse headed man does appeals to me in a freakish sorta off-putting way.

          • KnownDonorDad

I hear you, and I do find the “poor rich celebrity” trope annoying in most cases, but what I find compelling about Bojack is that he so desperately wants to be a good person, but he’s so negligent in his relationships with others that he’s functionally a bad person. I’d also call him a rabid womanizer more than a rabid misogynist (see his close relationships with his ex-co-stars, his biographer, his agent, and his pep talk to a young girl who wants to be an actress – and horror at the thought that she will become like him). Plus, it’s got Amy Sedaris voicing a main character, plus Patton Oswalt, Keith Olbermann, and a bunch of other guest voices. And songs that just come out of the blue at perfect times, like Nina Simone’s “Stars.” OK, enough Bojack proseletyzing. 😀

          • perversatile

            ”OK, enough Bojack proselytizing.”
-That’s a deal and I’ll not wax poetically about ‘Squidbillies’

  • TheManicMechanic

My kind of hardware innovation! I for one welcome our Trump tweet-burning overlord.

  • Blackfork

This is OMG wonderful. It couldn’t have been better if it had been shot by a glock before burning it.
