Priebus On Heathcare: Everything’s Now On The Table

The Hill reports:

White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus on Sunday said that all options are on the table for future negotiations on healthcare following the failure of Republican attempts to repeal and replace ObamaCare. “Everything’s on the table,” Priebus told “Fox News Sunday.”

“We’ll give these guys another chance.” Priebus said President Trump is not “closing the door on anything” on healthcare.

The comments come after Friday’s stunning defeat of the GOP healthcare plan. Trump ultimately asked Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) to pull the legislation as it increasingly looked as if it did not have enough votes to pass. Priebus said the administration welcomes proposals from the other side of the aisle and that “Democrats can come to the table as well.”

“And it would be nice to get some Democrats on board. But you’re right, at the end of the day, I think it’s time for the party to start governing,” Priebus said.
