Trump Continues To Make Baseless Wiretapping Claims, Promises “Interesting Items” Will Come Out Soon

Reuters reports:

President Donald Trump suggested more information would be coming out soon about his claim that former President Barack Obama ordered a wiretap of Trump Tower during the 2016 presidential campaign. “I think you’re going to find some very interesting items coming to the forefront over the next two weeks,” Trump said about the wiretap claim in excerpts of an interview to be broadcast later Wednesday on Fox News. He also said that “wiretap covers a lot of different things.”

More about tonight’s interview from Fox News:

President Trump responded sharply to the leak of two pages of his 2005 tax returns in an exclusive interview Wednesday with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, calling the MSNBC report “a disgrace.” “I have no idea where they got it but it’s illegal and they’re not supposed to have it and its not supposed to be leaked, and it’s certainly not an embarrassing tax return at all, but it’s an illegal thing they’ve been doing it, they’ve done it before and I think it’s a disgrace,” he said in an interview to air Wednesday on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” at 9 p.m. ET on Fox News Channel.
