Tony Perkins: George Soros Is Totally “Shipping Paid Protesters” To GOP Townhalls All Over The Country

Via press release from hate group leader Tony Perkins:

No wonder there are so many protestors at Republican townhalls! According to some reports, it’s a lucrative gig. In Utah, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R) was just one of the targets of liberal billionaire George Soros, who’s helping to “ship” protestors to district meetings all across the country. In some cases, the gatherings have turned so ugly that members like Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Calif.) needed a police escort just to leave the building.

Like Chaffetz, he knows the outrage was manufactured. After all, both are in solidly Republican districts. It’s “more of a paid attempt to bully and intimidate,” Chaffetz told reporters after the dust-up. “You could see it online a couple days before, a concerted effort in part to just cause chaos,” the Utah Republican said Friday.

While the Left’s army fans out to various townhalls in states, make sure your opinion is represented! If your member of Congress scheduled a townhall for this week in the district, show up! Oftentimes, voters only make an effort to talk to their elected officials when they have something to complain about. So many of these leaders are doing the right thing, and they need to be encouraged.

They also need to have their priorities reinforced by people like you. Let them know it’s time to repeal Obamacare. Help us counter the voices of the Left by telling them no more excuses on health care. And while you’re at it, make sure they hear from you on religious freedom. Too many Americans are suffering the consequences of the last eight years. The moment to address it is now!

Not re tipping, but if that’s The Trump Organization on the other end of the phone, you’re washing your minutes. Sorry.

    • Boreal

Not sure what ‘This user is blocked’ wants.

      • Acronym Jim

        Tips.

        • Boreal

My tip would be ‘don’t reply to commenters who have you blocked.’

    • SunsetGay

I prefer the other Tom Cruise quote.

“Okay fuckface. First, take a big step back, and literally FUCK YOUR OWN FACE!”

  • LesbianTippingHabits

Well, if this is true [and I sincerely doubt it], at least the protestors are actually getting paid. The left is actually more parsimonious (cheaper) than the right.

Which is more than anyone can say for anyone promised payment – even in a contract – for doing anything for Donald Trump.

Donald Trump is also a parsimonious (cheap) tipper. Even the right-wing media has yet to report on anyone who has done business with Donald Trump in the past, and would do so again in the future. Seriously. Nobody.

    • popebuck1

At this point I’ll bet even Putin is having second thoughts.

I’m loving these townhall meetings lately. After months of being depressed about what happened, It has renewed my faith in this country.

      • Ninja0980

My faith will be renewed more if we show up and vote.

      • DesertSun59

This is how to prevent from being depressed. GET ACTIVE!

    • Acronym Jim

At the Tom Cotton town hall, one of the attendees told him, you may have gotten to congress on the tea party wave, but you’re getting swamped tonight by a Democratic Tsunami.

      LOL

      • GayOldLady

Tom Cotton told the crowd that our government had to get control of the budget and the debt, the very next person to ask a question asked “then how can we afford a wall?”. Cotton then started a spiel about “our nation’s security”. The entire room booed.

    • GayOldLady

Cassidy couldn’t take the heat and left. As he left the entire room chanted, “do your job, do your job”.

      • KCMC

    Sure. Thank you George.

  • boobert

You mean like trump has paid people to cheer and applause at his press conferences ? lol

    • LesbianTippingHabits

Not re tipping, but quite wrong. Donald Trump may have had someone promise such payments, but he Never actually pays.

      Never.

Well, Tony hasn’t thought this through… Ol’ George is paying his protestors, giving them a bus ride and probably a nice boxed lunch. Tony needs to compete – all he asks is that his followers get mad and mail him a check. I suggest the ‘Just Go Bare’ movement. He gets his folks to swear to cancel their health insurance and then get together and pray really hard for each other. The benefits are obvious.

      • Guest

At least you got chips and a pickle.

Where’s your PROOF, you goddamned LIAR?!

Just dismiss the righteous anger and the fear of the EVIL those like you have planned for this country, you piece of SHIT!!

How have you or any of the SCUM who follow you SUFFERED, you fucking GRIFTER?!

You–who are so anxious to strip people of their healthcare, of their human dignity and ultimately of their lives–should be stripped of YOUR insurance and left to ROT in a gutter when the time comes when YOU need urgent medical help!!

God DAMN the fucking goddamned press in this goddamned fucking country–they have all the information they need to DESTROY hateful fascists like you who feed on the suffering of others, who live to make others suffer, VAMPIRES of human suffering–and they do nothing–NOTHING!!

Their lucrative CIRCUS of “controversies” is more important to the ruthless DEGENERATES!! Let’s hear those rational, sane, compelling arguments, respectable “journalists,” for why SOME people are less HUMAN and less deserving of equal treatment under the law than the self-righteous FRAUDS who never tire of PLAYING GOD!!

FUCK you DESTROYERS of civilized DECENCY!!

You think the anger is FAKED??

May it pave for you a road straight to HELL!!

    • Michael R

These people can only speak to people who already
agree with them and have no interest in the truth .

      • billbear1961

We’ve lost perhaps 40% of the electorate to LIES, Michael, because the press has never exposed all the propagandists in this country for what they are.

Instead they have treated and STILL treat them like colleagues and indulge in deliberate and endless FALSE equivalencies, while the right-wing propaganda machine continues to spew lies 24/7, unmolested.

Even PBS recently, in a Frontline special, had the GALL to tell us that Trumpism was just politics as usual and that those of us who think it presents an existential threat to the republic are “living in a bubble”!!

After they interview people fighting for equality, they then feel obliged to speak with FANATICS who think LGBTs belong in PRISON, because they have “to get both sides of the story,” of their deliberately manufactured and carefully cultivated “controversy.”

Scum like Perkins are USEFUL to them–so they carefully protect them from close scrutiny.

The media have normalized hate-mongering. Free speech now means people whose views are based on LIES and bigoted hatred deserve respectable platforms from which to spread their democracy- and tolerance-destroying POISON.

They’ve normalized people like Milo and Bannon–pathological liars and serial predators like TRUMP. Breitbart and Info Wars–INFO WARS–are considered NEWS organizations. They have press credentials at the WHITE HOUSE!!

Respect for truth and facts and simple DECENCY has PLUMMETED.

And, for that reason, because we cannot rely on a truly FREE press to do its JOB, to get at the truth AND to protect democracy from mendacious extremism, there is EVERY chance that we are going to LOSE this democracy.

        We ARE losing it!!

        • Michael R

Would watching the beginning of the end of McCarthy cheer you up ?
We are all waiting for this same take down of all things Trump ,
it’s hard to believe it’s gone as far as it has .

Considering the tens of thousands of protesters pushing back on the fascist menace, you can shut every one of these whiney republicans up with their George Soros bullshit with two magic words:

    https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/c9759c197568fce2b2fa69bc556cf3067746cea5889a6e5e6704ad20d873a948.jpg

  • Hunter M

I find it fascinating that they can only comprehend that the only way people would protest is by getting paid. But then again, most republicans will only do ANYTHING if they are going to get paid. And this, is precisely while they will never understand the underlying issues in this country.

  • vorpal

I just bought myself a 16 inch gold plated dildo with my recent Soros check for dissing Trump online.

If it wasn’t for my regular Soros payout, I’d be tripping over that dildo to kiss Trump’s teeny-tiny toes out of sheer love and adulation.

    • Canadian Observer

Vorpal, just got a call from your financial advisors… they say you missed another appointment.

    • Treant

Don’t you find those a bit cold? It’s warmer, if a bit more expensive, just to hire live ones on the nights you want them.

But with those sweet Soros checks coming in, you can afford it!

      • vorpal

I hire people to pre-warm them for me.

But I kind of like your suggestion better.
Etsy, though, doesn’t seem to offer this service.

I don’t know if my Soros checks could keep up, given that I like four to six sessions a day.

        • Treant

You gotta watch Etsy. Get the wrong dildo warmer and you could end up with a big regr-Etsy.

Some Members of Congress lack the courage to do even that.

“…..George Soros, who’s helping to “ship” protestors to district meetings….” “Shipping protestors” – you mean like cargo? How, by bus, air, train, or what? I used to send whatever I wrote about Tony on JMG directly to Tony as well, but I gave that up. My thesaurus is falling apart from constant use, and my (extensive) vituperative vocabulary is virtually exhausted … and I know how to curse in at LEAST three languages (chuckle).

Isn’t it a maxim that whatever conservatives are accusing us liberals of doing, they’re doing themselves?

      Vide “the election is rigged.”

      Sure was.

By the REPUBLICANS, for the REPUBLICANS’ benefit.

I took heart from reading that story about CANADIAN Border Patrol Mounties helping U.S. refugees across the border into Canada. I don’t think Prime Minister Trudeau will leave us to perish, if things REALLY go south.

Sadly, I wrote a short story about all this more than twenty years ago … and it’s all coming true. More recently, an episode of “Queer As Folk” covered much of the same ground … Melanie, Lindsay, and baby Gus fled to Canada to escape a draconian anti-gay proposition in the U.S.

SOME of the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs, Cathedral City and immediate environs) are fairly safe, but there are parts of the Valley and Riverside County, CA that are overrun with brain-dead white trash bigots who never finished high school, and who have enough ordinance in their basements and attics to equip a small army.

And, lacking the ability to achieve an erection (except by the use of a “splint” condom) they are just ITCHING to USE all that ordinance to prove their (dubious at best) manhood.

In closing, I would say to RICH Republicans:

“If YOU have to PAY for sex (or demonstrators), then YOU are the one lacking in ANY desirable qualities, or intellectual abilities.”

Oh, and Tony: I want you to fuck RIGHT off … RIGHT now … before you brush your false teeth and put on your long-sleeved flannel pajamas. Find a cylindrical object (the bigger, the better), lubricate it (optional if you’re a masochist) and

SHOVE IT UP YOUR WORTHLESS, LYING KKKRISTIANIST ASS UNTIL YOU PASS OUT!

I was looking on the internet and read about an eye witness who was at one town hall meeting and he saw more than two dozen black buses arrive disgorging all of these hippies, gays, and transexuals. They admitted that they were being paid $500/hr to gang up on the Republican holding the meeting.
Of course, it might be an ‘alternate fact’ because the witness swears that the NSA was trying to beam mind control microwaves through his tin foil hat at the same time.

uh huh… buy food or pay for healthcare. Hmm.

    • TampaDink

Free to die quickly of treatable illnesses. Whoo-Hooo!

    • Ninja0980

Free to die faster without health care.

    • Free of health insurance, he means, for those of us in the individual market who were denied coverage for a decade due to ridiculous pre-existing condition exclusions.

Free to go bankrupt upon the first serious illness or injury.

Free to have to choose between medicine, food, or a roof over one’s head.

Free to worsen and die quickly if we do get sick or have a life-threatening injury.

Free to watch loved ones — including children — suffer and die from preventable and treatable conditions.

Free to have to shut down small businesses like my own and to have to take a corporate job because that’s the only way I’d see insurance again before Medicare kicked in.

Free to spend the next 11 years of my life wondering when the Republicans will get around to abolishing Medicare or turning into a ridiculous farce of an inadequate and unusable ‘voucher’ for insurance that can’t be purchased at any price.

Free to be a citizen of the richest nation on this planet, but one whose GOP-controlled government has decided that 80-100k unnecessary deaths are an acceptable loss so that billionaires — who already have health insurance and never, ever have to worry about lack of access to healthcare — can get another tax cut.

      • AJ Drew

psst… your last sentence needs to add “billionaires *who have health insurance* can get another tax cut.”

        • Will edit. Good line.

      • Lars Littlefield

By the way, Medicare isn’t free. It costs $127 a month. You pay it quarterly, $381 every three months. And without explanation my premium just jumped to $460 for three months. No explanation. And you will be mightily surprised to discover how many physicians refuse to accept patients with Medicare. Still, it’s a pretty good deal if you have no other options.

        • I’m not surprised, because my wife is on Medicare. We’re well aware.

          • Lars Littlefield

Except for Medicaid, which is for the disabled and extremely poor, Medicare is the best bang for the buck when it comes to public health care. It’s not a designer golden policy, but when I bought and paid for my own insurance I still had to pay 20% of all medical costs out of my own pocket. I fail to see why all Americans would not benefit from being eligible for Mediicare. It’s more expensive that what Canadians pay for their health care, but at least Medicare has a proven track record. I’ve only been in the system for a year (I finally relented when my private insurance tripled in cost). And my physician, as well as my podiatrist and other doctors, treated me like I was a low life for deciding to opt for Medicare. Tough beans.

Not only is the Medicare Plus plan I chose covering all of my meds (I checked before electing it) it pays everything except $300 for cataract surgery. If I elect to have the new, neeto keeno laser procedure instead of the usual slice and dice, they throw in laser surgery to correct my old eyes so I no longer will need to wear glasses. What a deal. 🙂

        • safari

Out of curiosity, did SS benefits get an equal “cost adjustment”?

          • Not even close. A couple dollars was the entirety of the increase this year. Previous years? Nothing. SSA cost adjustments haven’t even been close to keeping up with the actual inflation experienced by older folks.

          • Lars Littlefield

I don’t know. I don’t need social security. I’m still “in the work force” so to speak, self-employed offering my itinerant services. I suspect ss will be cut across the board.

        • AJ Drew

Right! It is NOT free, and already a budget item and burden for too many (most?) seniors. And under DT, and apparently now Ryan’s proposal, it will become a bigger budget item. Food or Rx. Shameful, Mr. Ryan, shameful.

      • billbear1961

When the DOGS and CATS of the rich get better healthcare than the CHILDREN of the working poor–which was the case before Obama signed legislation W. had vetoed to give them government-funded healthcare insurance–it is time for DRASTIC remedies.

That healthcare is not considered a RIGHT in the wealthiest country in the WORLD when it IS in every other first-world democracy can only be put down to the abject FAILURE of the CORPORATE media to do their JOBS, to get at the truth and to EXPOSE the IGNOBLE motives of those who oppose it.

If THAT isn’t the main reason, if Americans continued to oppose universal care as a RIGHT despite full exposure to all the facts and arguments in its favour, then one could only conclude that they are–the majority of them–viciously cruel moral MONSTERS.

      • BudClark

Uh huh … free to sit back and watch deadly pandemic after deadly pandemic SWEEP across the Western Hemisphere, on account of the Anti-Vaxxer lunatics, and the general unavailability of even the most BASIC healthcare for the poor. Free to do without insurance as you did before.

      Free to live in fear.

Free to suffer and maybe to die without the care you need.

All so that the super rich can profit from HUGE tax cuts (without which they live like GODS, anyway, but that’s just not ENOUGH).

I’ve never been a REAL revolutionary. (Tests I’ve taken online tell me I’m far left, but that’s bull–CJ and I are both center-left social democrats.) I don’t object to people being wealthy, even extremely wealthy, but when their desire for wealth knows NO bounds and depends on others suffering FOR NO GOOD REASON, when that suffering is EASILY avoidable, but is allowed to go on and get WORSE just so that some rich man can own DOZENS of homes and yachts and cars and he and his sons can afford cocaine and expensive whores at their choice of exclusive resort, well, then I can see them headed for the GUILLOTINE, and not shed a SINGLE tear.

Let their depraved ruthlessness meet with the full rigour of Justice OUTRAGED.

BillBear, your passion inspires me. When I first stumbled upon this commenting “thingy” I honestly (sorry in advance,) thought you were an addled quack. But, months (years?) since, I’ve realized that you are sharp as a tack and your encyclopedic knowledge of classical music PLUS your humor (gif of polar bear holding a fish while looking shocked comes to mind,) have made me a HUGE fan and you have re-ignited in me an interest in classical music and much more. Thank You.

        • billbear1961

I have some of the characteristics of the hack or fanatic–I realize that. I don’t possess the gift of concision, and I can’t control my temper–so, all too often I end up RANTING. I am no diplomat and I tell people exactly what I think of their opinions if I find them irrational and odious.

I think I make sense, that what I say is backed up by strong reasons and logic, but my MANNER can easily put people off. On some sites I’ve been denounced as a left-wing fanatic. When angry or disgusted, frightened or exasperated, I completely lose my sense of humour.

The failure of the press to stand up for FACTS and to defend genuine democracy from extremist LIES and religious HYPOCRISY has me at the breaking point. Their dishonest and deliberate and relentless indulgence in false equivalencies makes me SICK. Their respectful treatment of that which is clearly, demonstrably reprehensible OUTRAGES me.

I’m increasingly overwhelmed by fear but even more by the most explosive DISGUST.

From childhood I’ve always been teased for being too serious. My maternal grandmother told me in my teens that I was already an old man and “serious as a judge.”

I suffer from terrible bouts of melancholy. That’s my nature.

I appreciate your honesty and really am touched by your good opinion.

  • GayOldLady

I just watched Tom Cotton at an Arkansas Town Hall. Over a thousand people attended and they were furious and rowdy. Tom Cotton actually did the event, but he was basically shouted down throughout for his answers. Anyone who believes the turnout at these events isn’t organic is indulging in wishful thinking. The same sort of wishful thinking that causes Tony Perkins to think that white jezuz is going to rapture him to heaven in a chariot.

    • AJ Drew

Ahh, but Tony is free to dream, but Tom has to face his potential voters, in droves.

      • GayOldLady

Tom was sort of dismissing them by saying that we just had an election and trump won, but he still answered their questions even though they didn’t like his answers. Since he won’t be up for re-election until 2020 he’s not worried about it, but I’ve never seen anything like the town hall he just had. It’s the GOP House members that need to be worried because their term is only 2 years

        • AdamTh

Hmm…. I watched to last 40 minutes and saw Tommie sidestep a lot of questions. Maybe by that point he realized nothing was going to work for him with that crowd.

          • GayOldLady

He did side step quite a bit. He dodged questions about how we could afford “a wall” after he whined that we had to tackle the budget, deficit and the debt. He also dodged the “pussy grabber” question. He tried to explain how the GOP healthcare plan was going to be better, but he had no specifics and he was asked repeatedly for specifics.

          • AdamTh

The “pussy grabber” question was over-the-top, but I loved it! I found the complete meeting video on YouTube, I’m going to watch the whole sordid mess….

On the Topic of Jason Caffetz and Lies: Caffetz was directed to a tweet from a National Park Service employee that revealed a cubby box for “Bears Ears National Monument” and he has gone ballistic. The tweet said, “Welcome Bears Ears. We’ve been waiting for you a long time.” Chaffetz has taken this a PROOF that the Park Service was illegally in cahoots with Obama to “illegally petition” the President to create the National Monument. So, of course, he’s going to investigate this horrible, illegal issue (rather than push for investigating Trump’s Russian connections), ’cause is the right thing to do. The man is a total ass. I love this kid! Can he be our President? He’s smarter than Trump.

      Go Toby!

    • fuzzybits

Taken down by a seven year old! I loved the “thanks for coming” at the end.

  • Well it’s nice to know that the protesters are upsetting them enough that they feel the need to lie about them.

  • Ninja0980

O/T but the war to discredit CNN will begin tomorrow with James O’Keefe leaking his edited tapes.
Hope CNN is on the ball and ready to take this SOB down.

I posted this in another thread but hadn’t watched the video at the time. This was “promoted” by Twitter on my timeline. I wonder what the NRA has planned for Friday.

Why doesn’t any of these reporters ask for proof of their idiotic statements? Maybe that will tame some of this shit.

So is he saying that there are only Trumpster Republicans in these highly Gerrymandered districts? No persons with alternative views live in any of these? They have to be shipped in? Well, that is remarkable.

  • Al

    FUCK YOU TONY.

  • jefe5084
  • Mikey

if you order 35 or more protesters, shipping is free!

  • i just want to kill a Nazi. please. my grandfather did over and over and said it was really fun.

i’m sick of your shit. please, let me slay you. i will do so, Artfully. like he did.

We’re all outraged, CD, but you know Joe’s rules.

    • Friday

Stay cool, would you? If life was as easy as anger and violence, the gun-nut paranoids would be *right.* You know they aren’t.

  • Nowhereman

Put up or shut up, Tony. All else is just so much fake news.

  • former THR

Many people don’t realize that Soros has also contributed $ to many Republicans as well such as Marco Rubio, John McCain and John Kasich.

  • Dagoril

Surely it would just be easier…and a hell of a lot cheaper…for Soros to just buy off each gooper pol, rather than dick around with thousands of paid protestors.

  • Friday

So says the hate-preacher directly paid 100K by Trump, on top of his usual paid-to-lie gig to ..be a professional liar.

  • ericpayne

Tony, Tony, Tony… how about we talk about theTea Party-ers who enthusiastically admitted to being bussed around the country to DEM townhalls during the previous two election cycles, hmm?

  • Sort of like the Donald did at his airport orgasmoganza in Melbourne, FL this past weekend? https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/b1796b85a1564359e33439caa44352b63e8879d5cac24f6b4f43d520dc48a1eb.jpg

    • kareemachan

Thank you for this! I’m borrowing it.

  • “Of course protestors are being paid by those evil scoundrels on the left! The alternative is that millions of people disagree with me, and we know THAT can’t possibly be the case! Sean Hannity said so, so it must be true!”

  • Cosmo Tupper

Don’t know about that, but “your” people must want to be paid because they aren’t showing up to republican town halls at all. Are they scared? Have they ‘jumped ship”? Have they seen the err of their ways?

  • Bj Lincoln

Who is this George Soros? Everyone talks about him for paying protesters but I never heard of him until now. How rich is he to be able to pay tens of thousands of protesters across the country EVERY DAY since Drumpf took office? Come on! This is not even realistic! These haters have to blame someone instead of blaming the bad decisions by the administration. They couldn’t imagine they are wrong and a huge part of the people do not want these cut backs or roll backs of rights and are pissed.

    • TrollopeReader

Forbes est. his wealth in 2016 at $24,9 billion ….

  • Itsatarp

Soros is 86. What are these clowns going to say after he kicks and people are still protesting? That he is funding the demonstrations from beyond the grave?

    • kareemachan

      Yup. cuz it’s a CONSPIRACY.

  • TrollopeReader

Tony – Soros pays me $1,865 per month. Can you pay me more??

  • basedonfact

I’m picturing someone opening a box with a prybar, digging through some packing material and pulling out a protester, sign in hand and stacking them in the back of a panel van for delivery to the protest site…

  • Mike Knife

How much is George paying? George Soros Is Shipping Paid Protesters” To GOP Townhalls All Over The Country.

  • kareemachan

Put up facts, tony, or stfu.

  • wds

So, once again Tony Perkins the purveyor of lies and the leader of christians (lowercase deliberate) who claim to know Jesus but work hard to ignore or deny anything Christ said or did – has decided that affordable insurance for people is evil. Of course, Tony gets his insurance paid for by the fleeced – um – flock of believers. Hopefully, God will have mercy on his soul (if he has one) as I have none … If he hadn’t blocked me, I would love to tweet him that IF he ever LOOKED in the Bible he’d find Matthew 7:22-23. It’s a great reminder that not all of those claiming Jesus are being truthful.
“…22: Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23: Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness.’”
