New York AG Joins ACLU’s Lawsuit Against Trump

Via press release from New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman:

“As I’ve made clear: President Trump’s executive action is unconstitutional, unlawful, and fundamentally un-American. That is why my office will be filing to join the federal lawsuit against President Trump and his administration. I’m proud to partner with these organizations to fight to permanently strike down this dangerous and discriminatory order.

“I will continue to do everything in my power to not just fight this executive order, but to protect the families caught in the chaos sown by President Trump’s hasty and irresponsible implementation – including pressing DHS and CBP to provide a full list of those still detained and allow them access to legal service providers.”

The lawsuit was originally filed by the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation, the Jerome N. Frank Legal Services Organization at Yale University, the Urban Justice Center, and the National Immigration Law Center.

It was Schneidermann who forced Trump to settle the Trump University fraud suits for $25M, which Trump has paid.

I could not be any more proud of my fellow Ohioans than I am now. I was in tears by the end. It’s a shame so many voted for Drumpf. Including so many of my family.

They are applying to join the ACLU case Daweesh v Trump which is here
and to extend the scope of the case.

      Their press release explains
‘The lawsuit claims that the Executive Order violates federal law and calls on it to be declared unconstitutional – for taking the rights away from lawful residents as well as other visa holders without due process. According to the AG’s Office, the order discriminates against people on the basis of their country of origin and religion, without sufficient justification, and therefore violates the equal protection guarantee of the Fifth Amendment.
‘Additionally, according to the complaint, the Executive Order violates the due process guarantee of the Fifth Amendment, violates the Establishment Clause by preferring Christian immigrants over those who are Muslim, violates the federal Administrative Procedure Act, and infringes on Massachusetts’s sovereign authority in violation of the Tenth Amendment.
‘The AG’s complaint argues that the Executive Order represents a stark
and troubling departure from this nation’s founding principles, discourages or prevents both travel and emigration to the Commonwealth, and would hinder a free exchange of information, ideas, and talents, including at Massachusetts’ many renowned educational institutions.

There isn’t enough Holy Oil, Holy Water, Holy Incense, and Blessed Brain Bleach to cleanse it after such a TOTALLY degrading and disgusting experience. Ss Sebastian, Cosmas & Damian, protect us from *dt and all his detestable enormities!

Chump has lost the respect and support of many within the nation…at what point does this reality become a cause for impeachment and/or replacement? A leader cannot lead if he has lost the people and Chump has definitely lost the people, even many who voted for him are having buyer’s remorse.
