MISSOURI: GOP Rep Offers His Own Guns To Those Who Have Theirs Confiscated At Statehouse Entrance

The Missourian reports:

A Missouri lawmaker is offering to give guns to constituents who have concealed carry permits, but whose weapons are confiscated when entering the building. Rep. Nick Marshall, R-Parkville, posted a sign on his door Wednesday that reflects his disdain for new security measures in place at the Capitol.

In a Facebook post Wednesday, Marshall announced that he will let any constituent “with a CCW that was not allowed to bring his firearm into the Capitol” to borrow one from him.

Marshall also posted a photo of the new security measures, saying that they impose on citizens’ freedom. Metal detectors and X-rays were added to the Capitol this week, coinciding with the arrival of the Greitens administration. Marshall did not immediately return requests for comment.

According to the Office of Administration, weapons are prohibited in government buildings, even for those who hold a concealed carry permit. There are exceptions, including for law enforcement officers and members of the General Assembly.

You may recall that Marshall is also a major advocate of voter suppression.Mgun
