Hair Furor Praises Fox News For Being Pro-Russia

The Crybaby-In-Chief just cannot stop whining:

President-elect Donald Trump on Friday mocked CNN and NBC while praising Fox News over their news coverage of the geopolitical standoff between the U.S. and Russia. Trump said CNN and NBC “don’t have a clue,” while Fox News “totally gets it.”

Moscow on Friday announced that it will not take reciprocal measures and expel U.S. diplomats from Russia, one day after the United States announced sanctions and punitive measures for Russian interference in the election. Russians are believed to have hacked political groups, including the Democratic National Committee.

The president-elect voiced admiration of the Russian President Vladimir Putin in an earlier tweet, complimenting the Russian leader on his reserved response to President Obama’s actions. Several minutes after Trump’s tweet, the Russian Embassy in the U.S. retweeted the praise on its official account.

I refuse to watch any Faux so what are they saying?

  • bkmn

It is hard to believe an entire party can go from being rabidly anti-Russia to avid Putin lovers in four months.

    • AtticusP

It would be harder for me to believe if the party in question had an actual moral foundation.

      It doesn’t.

      • margaretpoa

They aren’t acting in good faith. They have no intention of doing so. This will all be about self gratification. The Orange Faced Shit Gibbon will hold the biggest wealthy Republican circle jerk in history. And the press will call it :unique”.

i agree they don’t but the party is actually not behind him for the most part – the majority are still anti-Putin and anti-Russia. The orange cheeto is going rogue on this one.

        • Halou

So it’s just the upper echelons that are treasonous Russophiles, but America isn’t a dictatorship just yet, it took the rest of the party’s voters to elect these foreign agents into power. They are the ones at fault.

      • Acronym Jim

Not anymore; not since Nixon went all Annie Wilkes on that leg of principles with his Southern Strategy.

    • That_Looks_Delicious

Not any harder to believe than that almost all the self-described “christians” voted for a treasonous, tax-cheating, deadbeat, foulmouthed, genitalia-obsessed, serial-bankrupt, serial-philandering, thrice-married, casino-owning, admitted sexual predator fixated on his own daughter who can’t quote a single verse from the Bible and admitted pressuring his future second wife to get an abortion when she got pregnant.

In other words, the Republicans like the “Christians” actually don’t believe in anything, have no principles and would sell their own mothers to acquire power.

      • 2patricius2

Sure looks that way to me.

How about the Russians hacked their email and have so much juicy criminal and reprehensible material that they have them by the gonads through blackmail??

      • Nowhereman

I hope that The Donald pisses Putin off, and that Putin decides to release the RNC emails that they also hacked, and maybe Trump’s tax returns just for giggles. I wonder if republicans will be all A-OK with Russian sympathizers in the cabinet then? And yes, Trump is very open to black mail. His conflicts of interest are “unpresidented”.

        • Long Tom

          • Khrushchev did back down over the Cuban Missile Crisis right? I do not know if he caused it in the first place, but I know that JFK had his people contact him in a “back channel” in the Soviet Union since his generals, like ours (Curtis LeMay) were hot heads — and Khrushchev backed down in 1962. The missile crises cost him his job two years later. But he was not a bad Commie as things go — was he?

Cuban Missile Crisis: Khrushchev agreed to remove nuclear missiles from Cuba in exchange for Kennedy’s agreeing to remove nuclear missiles from Turkey. Kennedy did this secretly a few months after Russia removed the nuclear missiles from Cuba. It was Kennedy’s installation of nuclear missiles in Turkey that triggered the crisis in the first place.

Khrushchev was an improvement over Stalin.

          • Didn’t know that. I don’t think we should have put missiles in Turkey, what a provocation. No wonder they put them in Cuba.

  • Raisinhead

No Trump is right. Only Faux News gets it. The only way to win POTUS favour now is to lie and misrepresent and claim former enemies as ‘friends’ in the new Doublespeak.

Trump and Putin are on the path to creating Amerussia – the largest most powerful corporatocracy in the world. Or is it the USSA.. the United Soviet States of Amurika. The whole scenario is crazier than Dr. Strangelove. Can we just stop worrying and learn to love the bomb??? Feel at ease with a global billionaire elite running the planet? I’m sure they must have our best interests at heart.

trump owes most of his wealth to russia. They’ve bought homes from him for inflated prices. They’ve financed many of his projects when no one else would touch them. And they have more dirt on him than anyone . Even if he’s out of the picture, russia will have so many agents involved in our government ,that they will destroy us from the inside.

That would require Congress Republicans to get their heads out of Trump’s ass for five minutes. Extremely unlikely. It may be that more direct measures by citizens themselves are needed to restore order.

It is so totally frightening that our nation has reached the point that we can tell your ideological tendencies because of the cable and internet news networks you’re slavishly dedicated to, versus the ones you believe because of the facts on the ground.

From the SF Chronicle (behind a pay wall)

It hasn’t been easy. The night after the election, my kids starting insulting each other, as they are sometimes wont to do. My son told my daughter, “If you keep asking for sweet treats, you’re going to get fat.” She called him a “stupid idiot.”

First, I tried my San Francisco parenting. “Keep fat-shaming her,” I told my son, “and she’ll grow up with an eating disorder.” He rewarded me with a blank stare. “Don’t use those words,” I told my daughter, “they are mean and untrue and hurt his feelings.” She shrugged, looking thoroughly bored.

Frustrated, I told them, “The two of you sound just like Donald Trump.” Both kids spontaneously burst into tears. Turns out the worst thing I could say was to compare them to the person we just elected president.

Unfortunately I know some young kids and young adults, some parents themselves, that would be proud if you referred to them as Donald Trump. Louisiana is worlds away from San Francisco, where I lived years ago.

Yes, and at this end of the continent, if some contrarian kid shows up in school wearing a red “Make America Fat Again” hat I’ll have to defend this kid from bullying, under the theory that the rule against bullying is seamless.

Your new POTUS is a traitor! Un fucking believable!

    • Our new POTUS has zero interest in our country. His sole reason for wanting to be president is so he could rape, pillage and sell the country off bit by piece to the highest bidder and then turn the dregs over to Putin.

      • Piona O.

I agree with your sentiments, but I think there’s a much simpler reason Trump wanted to be president: Narcissism, egotism, self-aggrandizement. Over the next four years, expect him to leave the nitty-gritty of running the government to his horrible minions, while he embarks on a steady tour of rallies where he can stand before rabidly partisan crowds of people too stupid to realize they’re being taken, and stand there smirking, basking in their mindless applause.

    • He also has absolutely no experience in foreign relations and does not understand security issues, the nuclear triad, and could easily end up getting us blown up in a nuclear holocaust. I hope the Joint Chiefs of Staff have him under control and can will ignore him if it is prudent to do so and if it is going to keep me and my friends here alive.

I was at the gym yesterday, and during the several hours that I was there, it was “Trump says Putin ‘smart'” and screen grabs of Trump’s tweets praising Putin plastered all over the CNN and MSNBC broadcast. I have my fingers crossed that this is part of Obama’s long game. He *knew* Trump would over react on Twitter…let’s see what Obama’ next move is.
