Hate Groups To Celebrate Trump With “Faith Ball”

Brian Tashman reports at Right Wing Watch:

A mix of Tea Party and Religious Right groups will be hosting a “Faith, Freedom & Future Inaugural Ball” to celebrate President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20. The Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill black-tie event featuring “a reception, dinner, dancing, entertainment, and guest appearances” is hosted by the Family Research Council, a leading Religious Right group that is also hosting the event’s website, and the Council for National Policy, a conglomeration of conservative activists.

Other sponsors include Ralph Reed’s Faith and Freedom Coalition, David Barton’s WallBuilders, Gary Bauer’s American Values and televangelist James Robison’s program Life Today, along with two churches, Free Chapel and Gateway Church, and Tea Party groups Let Freedom Ring and the Tea Party Patriots. According to the website, Jim Garlow, the California-based pastor and anti-LGBT activist, will lead an opening prayer service at a Washington, D.C., church.

They appear to be fearful of party crashers. From the event’s tickets link: “To purchase tickets, use the personalized link your inviting host emailed you.
