Former Trump Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski To Open Consulting Office Blocks From White House

The Hill reports:

President-elect Donald Trump’s former campaign manager and Ben Carson’s former campaign manager will launch a political consulting firm in Washington, D.C., this week, The Hill has confirmed.

The Washington Examiner first reported that Corey Lewandowski and Barry Bennett have been on the prowl for new clients for Avenue Strategies, which they describe as “a full service government relations and political consulting firm.”

They will work out of a Pennsylvania Avenue office just blocks from the White House. There has been swirling speculation about what role Lewandowski might play — if any — in a Trump administration.

Lewandowski was fired in June after losing an internal power struggle with campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who was later replaced by GOP pollster Kellyanne Conway, who took the campaign across the finish line.

Lewandowski remained a fierce Trump loyalist even after he was dismissed and became a CNN analyst, and continued to provide strategic advice to the now-president-elect after the two parted ways.
