FINAL: Hillary Wins Popular Vote By Almost 3 Million

The Hill reports:

Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by just under 3 million votes, final state vote totals aggregated by the Cook Report revealed on Tuesday. The political news outlet, which has been tracking the votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, found Clinton with 65.8 million votes and 48.2 percent, compared to 62.9 million and 46.6 percent for Republican Donald Trump. It tweeted out that all of the states plus D.C. had certified their results.

This news is doing nothing for my IBS.

    • Todd20036

      Try probiotics. They actually work.

Aside from calming my stomach, I can now digest lactose again.

Does take a while though, you need to use them for 2-3 weeks before the benefits really kick in, but it will help

      • BearEyes

plain Greek yogurt with active cultures and a test for gluten sensitivity.

        • Todd20036

It got really bad for me after drinking milk, or eating a bagel with cream cheese. That’s how I figured it out.

          • NancyP

A lot of people get more lactose intolerant with age. I am Northern European in ethnicity and thus am equipped with robust lactose digestion, but even I have noticed a bit of bowel habit change with regular intake of milk, as opposed to yoghurt.

          • Todd20036

Yeah, I developed the problem in my early 40s. I’m almost 49, and can drink milk and eat cheese again.

I don’t do that often though, I have a 28″ waist to maintain.

      • MikeBx2

Probiotics changed my digestive life. Only regret I didn’t discover their powerful effects sooner. πŸ™‚

        • Goodboy

Wow. I do them because it’s suppose to help your immune system. Some say it’s even more important taking them then vitamins.

      • Lactose intolerance depends on where you live and what your ancestry is. I found this map on food beast, and have seen others at other sources like it. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/2e9d3c8937d8a770b09d5b0cde153f701eed94079328b2252fe59d14cd84fcf2.png

      • Can you recommend any? I cannot go near a glass of milk now.

        • Tom (Wpg)

All you need is a Lactaid tablet whenever you eat dairy products. I’ve been lactose intolerant for years, and it’s

          completely under control with Lactaid.

      • fastlanestranger

Are you saying that probiotics will remove Trump from the presidency in 2 to 3 weeks?

        • Jerry

I don’t think it will do that, but it might remove trump from your lower intestines.

      • Michael Abbett

        Kefir has helped me tremendously.

        • TuuxKabin

The smoke or the drink? /s

Love that stuff! El HubCap doesn’t so it’s all for me.

    • james1200

Imodium? It’s essentially an opiate so it’ll get you kinda high, too.

      • Todd20036

Ugh. That stuff stops up the drain for days. Take that only if you have diarrhea.

        • EweTaw

Donnatal is sublime. It’s a combination of Phenobarbital mixed with Belladonna alkaloids. Fabulous.

        • I have to take two before each meal to be close to “normal”, the hubb takes one with your results.

Sadly, no. But lots of cows.

          • GayOldLady

Ok, WY has more livestock than people. πŸ™‚

          • Paula

            Certainly, more cows, anyway.

          • GayOldLady

There’s definitely a reason people don’t live there!

Population of CA is 39 million / Electoral votes 55
Population of WY is 584K / Electoral votes 3

California has 60 times more people than WY, but only 52 more electoral votes. Our Electoral College system is so antiquated and unrepresentative if the will of the people it needs to be abolished.

          • NowAnAgnostic

So very true. It is time to abolish the Electoral College system.

          • Kate

No. It’s time to abolish the popular vote, and go back to states picking.

          • Kate

You are complaining that a system set up to represent states is representing states, instead of representing the population directly, despite the fact that it was set up explicitly to not represent the population directly.

California already gets 18 times the representation WY does. It has 10% of the representation in the country. It shouldn’t be 67 times WY.

          • GayOldLady

Since fewer than 600k people live in Wyoming why don’t you move there Kate, I feel quite sure they’ll embrace you. In the meantime we’ll see if tRump begins to undermine the advances we’ve made in the LGBT community. Most who understand the sort of appointments he’s making believe he’s already begun. You might need to stay North.

          • Kate

I’ve lived there. It’s a nice state, and it should have a voice, not just be a rounding error in California’s vote.

          • GayOldLady

It has a voice and it’s oversized. So go live there Kate, you should fit right in, just like Brokeback.

          • Kate

Never seen brokeback. It is a beautiful state, though. Lots of wide open spaces. I’m looking forward to the drive through it tomorrow.

          • GayOldLady

Well if you or your partner are not gender conforming, fuel up before you drive into the State because if you stop for gas you could find yourself if a bit of trouble. So remember, make sure you act like a lady. No butching it in Wyoming.

          • Kate

I lived in Wyoming for a while. Even went to school there. There are certainly those that would consider me gender non-conforming.

Things have gotten better since the Matthew Shepard days. There’s still a lot of work to be done.

I lived for a while with an FTM individual in Houston, and would visit and chat with people at the trans center. Being there was awesome – the energy, the joy, the honesty. Going out to dinner, being able to drop my guard, being myself. It was shortly after I came out and was rejected by my family, and it helped me through some really tough times to be with the people there. It was absolutely horrifying to see just how much violence people endure just for being themselves.

I’ve been the victim of some anti-gay bias myself, likely because I didn’t look like they thought I should. I didn’t have the time to ask them exactly why they were trying to run my wife and I down. We were lucky – not everyone is. I’ve been lucky overall – when I set out to kill myself, my friend (now wife) was there to talk me down, and she’s the reason I’m here today. I was going to jump off a parking garage because I couldn’t go back, and moving forward would “hurt” my family, so I was checking out. Gender had a lot to do with that.

One of the things I respect Trump greatly for is helping to take away the base of the republican party from the social conservatives. His cabinet is lacking, but I am able to be out, and proud in Trump groups – the fundies shut up, and everyone else welcomes me. Before, I was the evil degenerate trying to destroy America. He’s helping make the republican party safe for gay people, and gender non-conforming people, even if you don’t see it on this site.

I do, because I’m the one actually organizing with, working with, interacting with his base. It’s not the base of the republican party of 20 years ago.

          • Kate

We botched it up, and took some great photos. Stopped for gas many a time, never a problem.

Things have gotten better, and I believe that Harvey Milk was right – coming out is how we change minds. I spent way too long in the closet – I will not go back.

Should someone decide that they want to physically assault me, things will not go well for them. I’d rather they picked me than someone who doesn’t have a weapon.

          • GayOldLady

Kate……I’ve likely been out longer than you’ve been alive. And I live in a place that isn’t gay friendly, so I know hostility toward sexual orientation. WY is not gay friendly, not even close, ask Judy Shepard. Just this week Mr. tRump promised to sign a proposed anti-gay law. With 2 SCOTUS appointments they will overturn marriage equality. The cases are already prepared and they will do it. Soon this country will return to it’s “Straight people Only” status and you will be back to all the reasons that caused you, if you’re to be believed, to flee to Canada in the first place. Stay in Canada.

          • Kate

            It’s not going to happen.

There’s a difference between gay friendly and gay tolerant. I’ve lived in a lot of places that would be considered not “gay friendly”, too.

          • GayOldLady

When it happens will you show up to say you were wrong? They’re coming after laws protecting LGBT people and Marriage Equality. Make sure you move to a State that passed Marriage Equality before Obergefell, one of those States ISN’T Wyoming.

          • Kate

If it happens, yes I will. I will picket, and fundraise, and do everything I can to see his tenure and influence cut as short as possible.

          • GayOldLady

Ok!!! I’ll be looking to hold you to that Kate. I’m a bit on the old side so my days of getting into the streets are coming to an end. You better be prepared to fight for your rights, as my generation did, otherwise you are destined to lose them. We have powerful enemies!

          • Kate

            “We have powerful enemies!”

That we do. Fortunately, most of them seem to be dying out.

I tried to sue the State of Arizona once for marriage equality. Someone else settled that for us (9th circuit). In the unlikely event marriage is overturned, we’ll be willing to fight the state again.

The CA and AZ props were masterminded by the Mormon church. I met the guy who helped them plan and strategize it (he was giving a talk on the Mormon image issue when Romney was running). There’s no reason that we can’t organize just as well, and if it takes putting democrats in every office imaginable, so be it.

In AZ and CA, there are always props, too.

        • GayOldLady

          Don’t forget WY, population 584k.

        • safari

          We will call it Flyover

Let’s throw away deep red states in the South and midwest too while we’re at it.

      • Jay George

Only if I can have refugee status. And my dogs too.

      • GayOldLady

Funny thing about the South is that most of the Large cities vote for the Democratic Candidate. It’s the rural areas that go GOP and because the South is still more rural than Metropolitan area, it’s red. But if you looked at cities closely you’ll see that cities like Atlanta, Macon, Columbus, Savannah went Blue. Nashville & Memphis went Blue, Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Fayetteville NC went Blue, Birmingham & Montgomery, AL went blue. Charleston and Columbia SC, went blue.

        • JCF

AND the Rethugs gerrymander those states alldafuq AND suppress the votes of “undesirables” (i.e., black folk) as much as they possibly can (which, since SCOTUS gutted the Voting Rights Amendment, is pretty damn far).

  • PickyPecker
    • GayOldLady

I believe there are a few big protests scheduled for Inauguration Day (in D.C. at least).

        • GayOldLady

There’s a Women’s march, that was suppose to end up at the Mall, but the NPS won’t release a permit for that location because the Trump inauguration team has the permits for all of the high visibility areas and they haven’t released them as yet. I don’t expect them to.

          • NowAnAgnostic

The Trump inauguration team is planning book burnings for those locations?

        • Kate

Because whining about Trump has changed anything at all since he announced?

People haven’t figured out that he thrives on negative coverage, because there is no such thing as bad publicity. It gets him (and his ideas) coverage, which gives him more power, more influence.

Shaming him only makes him stronger, because he has no shame.

    • kaydenpat

My sentiments exactly. The man is so dumb and crass. We’re in for four rough years. We have to stay tough and resist the temptation to normalize this Bigot.

    • Kate

    • HadenoughBS

So, in the reasoning of the Donald, this proves he won the popular vote in a landslide victory over Hillary thus giving him a HUGE governing mandate, especially over anyone not white or male or hetero or Christian or rich or ultra alt-right conservative. In other words, the vast majority of Americans.

      • Kate

In the reasoning of Donald Trump, he won the states handily. He won the electoral college bigly, and if it weren’t for California (which is a bunch of pansy liberals anyway), he would have won the popular vote, too.

So, he has a 49 state mandate, and fuck California.

    • Moebym of the Resistance

Bill clearly has no love for the willfully stupid, and he has a good reason to feel this way. He grew up among the kinds of people who would’ve voted Trump, and knows how they tick.

    • Silver_Witch

Indeed you would have to be simple to not understand Hillary lost the election. The DNC picked a bad candidate. The difference is 2.1% basically a tie. Period. Not a winner.

      • Jim Maloney

Agree she lost according to our electoral system, but 2.1% representing almost 3 million is definitely not a tie. Both things can be true.

        • Silver_Witch

3,000,000 out of a total of 129,000,000 not that great…you are indeed right both can be true and probably are.

And Comey will just sail off into the sunset having so badly interfered with our democracy. Sigh.

      • Jay George

I know it’s wrong of me to wish ill on others, but dear gods I hope there is some sort of retribution for his actions.

        • Bad Tom

Wishing for karmic justice is not a bad thing.

        • Kate

There won’t be. The investigation was real, the emails were genuine, and she was reckless and negligent.

As he said, if she still were working for the government, there would likely have been consequences. Generally, those would be a loss of clearance, and potentially one’s job. Without being willful, they generally wouldn’t prosecute.

So, the country was in a position where someone who was a genuine threat to the country was potentially going to end up with access to sensitive classified information. You can’t deny a security clearance to the president, and you can’t fire him.

So, Comey acted in the only way he could to stop a dangerous individual from being put in a position of power. His actions helped save the country from Hillary Clinton.

He did so at legal and career risk to himself, and is a patriot.

          • Malarkey. In comparison to the walking Constitutional crisis we are now faced with, Hillary’s “genuine threat” barely shows up. And it’s not as though it would continue, or have any sort of bearing on her ability to be president.

          • Kate

The president mishandling classified information is a huge deal. It can’t be permitted to happen.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, you can’t fool me again and all that.

    • Tiger Quinn

Maybe you could call him a pansy. That seems to be your thing.

    • That_Looks_Delicious

      Of course.

Here’s my prediction for future generations: “James Comey” will become the new “Benedict Arnold.”

  • Lazycrockett

Once or IF this Comey file that was opened in court today goes MSM we will see that this election was stolen by the CIA and the KGB.

  • Goodboy

Seriously what’s the point in voting anymore? This election proves without a doubt that your vote in irrelevant.

    • Jay George

Yep. Our government has been sold right out from under us. Must be kinda how the Indians felt.

      • TuuxKabin

Your avatar is about how I feel as well.

        • Jay George

Yep. The combination of sadness and disgust sums it right up. Plus it’s Bowie and he’s beautiful no matter what face he makes.

          • TuuxKabin
          • Jay George

I will miss him forever. I would say I’m glad to see the end of 2016, but I’m so afraid of the future now.

          • TuuxKabin

Terrified. I start to feel like I’m getting better, feeling like the with help from friends and community I’ll get thru it, then another danger flag is waved and it’s another battle front.

Timing be such, last night at a neighbor’s for dinner, a bookseller, he had “The Man Who Fell To Earth” framed. It was published in 1963.

    • Carl

Really. It doesn’t matter if the popular vote is decisive. If enough angry white men on the right vote in the right places and enough angry white men on the left decide to throw away their votes in the right places, the whole world suffers under this system.

    • JWC

and that Trump was right it was rigged

      • Goodboy

Yep and there’s no way to change it as it is. Way too rigged. Will have to wait till the Republicans in power predictably fuck it up. Clean up the mess and repeat down the road when everyone has time to forget. Usually in about 10 years.

        • Jay George

If there’s anything left to clean up…

        • JWC

Be vigilant never complacent if Hillary got 48% of the Vote, In 2 years there is anothwer minor election maybe some unbraiding there

    • Kate
      • Beagle

You ran away from the U.S. Why should anyone care what you think? (And, given your belief stated above that states have rights, and human beings don’t, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you’re capable of thinking.)

        • Kate

I didn’t say that human beings don’t have rights. Human beings have rights, and states have rights. One of the rights that states have is to elect the president.

Canada doen’t directly elect it’s Prime Minister through a nationwide popular election, either – it doesn’t mean that Canada doesn’t have Human Rights.

I know it’s hard not to think in terms of false dichotomies, but do please try.

  • TimCA

But at least 30 million of her 66 million votes were cast by illegals in California and Nevada

    (snark)

  • EweTaw

I watched Patton Oswalt’s Talking for Clapping on Netwflix to cheer me up. And it did. Im still sort of immune to the tragic reality that Trump is president. It’s on Netflix. If you have the patience, here’s a taste:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-wwhJ0ovfw

    • worstcultever

Lots of good stuff in this special, but my favorite is the extended bit starting at 51:50 about his daughter and My Little Pony. Wonderfully and hilariously done. Patton is a national treasure.

    • Tiger Quinn

That guy’s recent loss of his wife, and the very public way he is dealing with his grief, are where I turn every time I’m ready to ditch this country. People are dealing with worse than Trump can dish out.

      • worstcultever

Yeah – it’s kind of weird and heartbreaking to watch him here, knowing of the bomb that life was gonna drop on him just months later.

Anyway & also – this is a beautiful piece of writing he recently did about it, posted on GQ

        http://www.gq.com/story/patton-oswalt-fatherhood-moty

      • EweTaw

        Yup.

  • ultragreen

So she won the popular vote over Trump by 2 measly percentage points. I’m not impressed.

  • Ragnar Lothbrok

Obviously, the right thing to do now is for him to step aside and let the WILL of the people preside !!!

  • On a totally unrelated subject, does anyone know if they are showing this charming scene from Episode 7 of The Netflix period extravaganza “The Crown” in the UK and other Commonwealth realms? A rather randy (and may I add very hot) Prince Philip, portrayed by actor Matt Smith, suggested that Queen Elizabeth pleasure him “on her knees” as an alternative to meeting with Sir Michael Adeane, her future Private Secretary. Her Majesty more than willingly obliges with a twinkle in her eyes –we do not get to see the actual act. However, we do get to see Mr. Adeane’s expression as he realizes that his meeting was “blown off” (so to speak) by his sovereign as he is holding a red royal box that says “The Queen”. A charming end to an entertaining episode. Just wondering if Netflix actually has the audacity to show this outside of the USA. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/13fbc1b2433a982bcd5b493ad0ecc1de6ab2611364551cc5505c81faf748d478.jpg

    • EweTaw

Netflix has it available. I watched it. However, I didn’t care much for the series.

      • I like it because I am into British history and it is basically correct about that — plus the “extras” like the scene above are good. It is also filmed gorgeously and the costumes are good, etc. .The budget was about 200 million USA for it. They plan to continue it for the next three years at least – one for each decade (60’s, 70’s, 80’s with different actors).

    • JWC

ah Good ole Matt Smith “Dr Who” and a gay man to boot

      • He’s gay? Had no idea. I would do him in a second. I like how he enjoyed showing his hot bum off as Prince Philip naked. I wonder if the real one did that.

      • bobbleobble

Sadly not gay, he’s currently dating Lily James, Lady Rose from Downton.

      • Lazycrockett

        Maybe you’re thinking Ben Whishaw?

        • JWC

No Matt Smith was a DR Who and is Gay check it out

          • JCF

I’m not sure ‘WHO’ you’re thinking of, but it’s not Matt Smith. I mean, I guess he could be secretly bi—but all his girlfriends, current and former, would tend to indicate he’s not gay.

  • Should be “…..Clinton with 65.8 million votes and 48.2 percent, compared to 62.9 million and 46.1 percent for Republican Donald Trump.” Hillary beat him by 2.1%.

So, where is Trump’s tweet mocking Hillary for losing more votes to “faithless” electors yesterday than he did? It isn’t like Trump to miss an opportunity to be immature and unpresidential.

  • That_Looks_Delicious

Wow. She won California by 30 points. I believe that is historic. Even Johnson, Reagan and Obana didn’t get that margin. OTOH, a lot of good it does us.

But I have to admit it does have a mitigating psychological effect on me, being in California this year.

    • Sam_Handwich

She was also the first Dem to win Orange County since 1936

    • Goodboy

You can write your vote on toilet paper and flush it for as much good as it will do.

    • Tiger Quinn

I moved to Cali six months ago – I very much believe that the people in this state are going to get fed up with the rest of the country very, very quickly.

      • m_lp_ql_m

        We’ve been for decades.

      • stevenj

Notice the number of Republicans elected to statewide offices?
        ZERO
It has been like that since 2008.

    • JCF

Same here. Much as I loved being in Battleground Michigan in 2008 (got to see Obama in Battle Creek!), I woulda been freaking *homocidal* to be there now.

    • I’ve done the analysis. Of all Democrats, only FDR in 1936 had a wider margin in CA. Of all candidates, Teddy Roosevelt in 1904, Harding in 1920, and adoptive native son Hoover in 1928 also had wider margins in CA.

      • That_Looks_Delicious

Thanks. The websites I found only went back to Eisenhower.

    • McSwagg

If we could convince a sufficient portion of that excess Democratic vote in California to move to Texas, Texas’ 38 electoral votes would become reliably blue and the GOP would be permanently out on its collective ear. Texas could be remolded into a progressive paradise.

      • That_Looks_Delicious

I think property values in SF, LA and elsewhere are (slowly) doing that. The average home price in San Francisco is now over $1,000,000, and that’s all homes including condos and apartments. But it takes more than just cheap housing to get people to move; Ohio where I’m from has very inexpensive housing, but it’s been losing population for decades now.

  • kaydenpat

Not bad for such a “nasty woman”.

  • JellyDonut

may as well just throw all those ballots in the trash! America voted and the loser is America!!

I have a strange feeling that Trump will grow bored and tired of being president his ego is to big

    • Natty Enquirer

That’s Michael Moore’s prediction. You know, the liberal who correctly predicted Trump would win.

      • JWC

  • Ernest Endevor

    Tragic.

  • GayOldLady

Everyone who voted “other” needs a shoe up their wazoo.

    • That_Looks_Delicious

From what I read (although it was written before the final certification), the only states where the ‘Other’ vote would have made a difference were Wisconsin and maybe Pennsylvania. But that’s assuming that all of the “others” would have gone to Clinton and not Trump, which might not be a valid assumption.

      • David Teager

There were 5 close states: FL, OH, MI, WI, PA. If HALF (in some cases, like MI, even less) of the 3rd-party votes went to Clinton in (a) FL plus one other four states or (b) three of the four other states (and, of course, DJT got none), HRC would have won easily.

    • m_lp_ql_m

Didn’t the Russians hack into, like, a billion Wazoo accounts?

      • GayOldLady

        πŸ™‚

  • Charlie 2001

So have they calculated which of the battle ground states Clinton would
have won had the third party candidates been off the ballot? A large
part of those three million votes were from New York City alone. Trump
lives there, they know him so they voted overwhelmingly against him.

It would take a Constitutional amendment to do away with the Electoral
college. The smaller states and the Republicans are A-OK with the
current system. They have won two presidential elections in the past 20
years they would have lost based on the popular vote.

  • Tiger Quinn

I am so, so angry about this.

  • Natty Enquirer

Three million votes and $4.62 will buy you a Skinny Vanilla Latte at Starbuck’s.

  • Giant Monster Gamera

Where are the media calls for a “consensus” government and Democrats in the cabinet?

  • Adonisus

Never EVER let these bastards forget: They did not win the popular vote. The people DID NOT CHOOSE THEM. They won ON A TECHNICALITY and that’s IT.

    • David Teager

Hey, I’m not happy about it, but it’s not a technicality, it’s the rules. You don’t win a football (soccer) game by time of possession, you win by putting the ball into the goal more than the opponent.
Of course, there are many reasons why Drumpf won more states, some by the slimmest of margins. Many places to put blame. And it sucks. Bigly.

      • Adonisus

Doesn’t matter. It’s still undemocratic and denies the will of the people. Whether or not it’s ‘legal’ means fuck all to me. The Electoral College and its members can all burn for all I care.

(I’m not angry at you or anything. You are correct, but that’s besides the point)

      • BrianQTD

This is not a sport’s match. It’s democracy. And the idea of “mandate” or “the people chose” is THEM trying to make political hay out of this EC victory. We have good reasons to say you do NOT have the will of the people.

  • The Return of Traxley

Hey, shitgibbon. You have exactly the OPPOSITE of a mandate from the people. Try to fuck up the 3 million of us and we won’t say nice things. We will say terrible things. Horrible things. And we’ll keep saying them so loudly that you can’t not hear them. You can Twitter your fat orange ass off. We don’t give a fuck about your precious ego. Expect it.

  • Mike__in_Houston

    What a fucking tragedy.

    • Skeptical_Inquirer

I remember some asshole elector boasted about boxes of liberal tears in the form of mail asking him not to vote for Trump and it showed his cute daughter. If that fucker EVER posts on Gofundme because of his kid getting sick, I say we bombard that asshole asking if he has problem with getting liberal money.

  • HZ81

Second only to President Obama, and the third biggest popular vote total in history.

She took on the GOP field of maniacs, the High Sparrow, the Kremlin, Wikilieaks, and the FBI and came out on topβ€” were it not for those “lost, forgotten white angry working class voters,” AKA “racist retards,” numbering 80k.

Due to lack of penis, racism and sexism. a full metal asshole man, sans functioning brain stem, will get her job.

    .
Barring some miraculous outcome, come January 6, 2017 (when Congress meets!)!… or, when BETTER LEGAL MINDS have finally determined to put an end to the fiasco known as the 2016 U.S. Election!… millions of American citizens will have suffered a Federal Election loss, because a thing called an Electoral College, has systemically breached the Rights of citizens to a “DIRECT ELECTION”, and, “ONE VOTER, ONE VOTE”! And because, some OLIGARCHS have decided… many years ago!… to “R-I-G” the Election of a U.S. Presidential Candidate, by instituting a mechanism to undermine a NATIONALWIDE DEMOCRATIC PLURALITY! And that mechanism will continue, unless a “judicious judicial judicare” puts the boots to this U-N-D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I-C Electoral College injustice!
    .
However!… however ASTONISHING one might perceive the present Electoral College to be to the “Principals of Democracy”, none of this compares to the DIABOLIC NATURE inhere within the very “democracies (so-said/ so-called!)” which a-c-t-u-a-l-l-y a-d-h-e-r-e to DIRECT ELECTIONS, and which have adopted a “ONE VOTER, ONE VOTE” system to elect Candidates into Office! And I’ll demonstrate this, by revealing the I-N-S-A-N-I-T-Y that was– and is!– the Brexit vs Bremain referendum!
    .
How is it “DEMOCRATIC”– e.g.!– when the Brexit Referendum “win” of Thursday, June 23rd, 2016, was “won” W-I-T-H-O-U-T the E-S-S-E-N-T-I-A-L M-I-N-I-M-U-M of 50+% of the T-O-T-A-L N-U-M-B-E-R of ELIGIBLE BRITISH VOTERS’ VOTES?… AND!… NOT JUST, BY WAY OF A MAJORITY OF THOSE WHO’VE DECIDED TO CAST A VOTE! In other words, how can L-E-S-S than the E-S-S-E-N-T-I-A-L M-I-N-I-M-U-M of 50+% of the T-O-T-A-L N-U-M-B-E-R of eligible British voters’ votes, constitute a “D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I-C P-L-U-R-A-L-I-T-Y”? It is– de facto!– I-M-P-O-S-S-I-B-L-E (i.e., without God!)! And thus, the Brexit vote is a further example of a “P-S-E-U-D-O-D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I-C P-S-E-U-D-O-P-L-U-R-A-L-I-T-Y” “winning the day”!
    .
To compare the Brexit Referendum to an election of a Candidate within a Electoral District… if fifty thousand eligible voters decide not to vote in a District that is composed/ comprised of one hundred thousand eligible voters… and five Candidates are running!… the math would suggest, that NO CANDIDATE could possibly obtain a “D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I-C P-L-U-R-A-L-I-T-Y” from the remaining fifty thousand eligible voters who have cast a vote! Unless!… and of course!… A H-I-J-A-C-K-E-D, AND E-L-I-T-I-S-T P-O-L-I-T-I-C-A-L P-R-O-C-E-S-S SIMPLY MARGINALIZES THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SHOWN UP TO VOTE; AND, THEN, DICTATES THAT THEIR “NO SHOW”/ ABSENCE, CANNOT– AND SHOULD NOT!– BE HELD “B-I-N-D-I-N-G” IN SOME FASHION, OR FORM (AND SOME “NO SHOWS” ARE AS SUCH, DUE TO DISABILITY, AND/ OR INFIRMITY!… NOT TO MENTION, THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN SYSTEMICALLY AND SYSTEMATICALLY DISCRIMINATED AGAINST, DUE TO THEIR Y-O-U-T-H!)! FOR!… OUT OF SIGHT, IS OUT OF MIND!
    .
Simply put!… and to return to the Brexit Referendum!… the said total of 17,410,742. “winning” “pro Brexit” British voters, plus the said total of 16,141,242. “losing” “pro Bremain” eligible British voters, who– together!– showed up at the “Referendum ballot boxes (i.e., 33,551,984 eligible British voters!)”, are in contrast to the ACTUAL TOTAL of 46,499,537 eligible British voters (see Google result, Electoral Commission | Provisional electorate figures published!… AND, LET ALONE, THE EVEN HIGHER ACTUAL TOTAL NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE VOTERS’ VOTES TO BE HAD, IF MANY OF THE DISABLED/ INFIRMED BRITISH CITIZENS WERE “ACCOMMODATED”!… AND!… IF MANY BRITISH YOUTH WEREN’T THE TARGETS OF “P-O-L-I-T-I-C-A-L A-N-D S-O-C-I-A-L P-A-T-E-R-N-A-L-I-S-T-I-C A-G-E-I-S-M”!)!… and reveals a deficit of 12,947,553. of the ACTUAL TOTAL NUMBER of eligible British voters, and a deficit of 5,839,027. eligible British voters for even a “B-A-R-E M-I-N-I-M-U-M M-A-J-O-R-I-T-Y W-I-N (i.e., 46,499,537. Γ· 2 = 23,249,768.5… + .5 = [23,249,769.] – 17,410,742. = 5,839,027.!)”! AND THEREFORE, THE COMBINED “WINNERS” AND “LOSERS” TALLY OF ELIGIBLE VOTERS, S-H-O-U-L-D N-O-T B-E M-A-D-E S-Y-N-O-N-Y-M-O-U-S W-I-T-H T-H-E A-C-T-U-A-L T-O-T-A-L- N-U-M-B-E-R O-F E-L-I-G-I-B-L-E B-R-I-T-I-S-H V-O-T-E-R-S/ V-O-T-E-S!… AND!… THE “WINNING TALLY”, S-H-O-U-L-D N-O-T B-E M-A-D-E S-Y-N-O-N-Y-M-O-U-S W-I-T-H T-H-E “M-A-J-O-R-I-T-Y W-I-L-L” O-F T-H-E E-L-I-G-I-B-L-E V-O-T-E-R-S O-F B-R-I-T-A-I-N! AND!… THEREFORE!… THE “WINNING TALLY” OF ELIGIBLE BRITISH VOTERS– AT LEAST!– SHOULD BE MET WITH A C-O-N-S-T-I-T-U-T-I-O-N-A-L (AND TORT!) C-H-A-L-L-E-N-G-E (TO START!) FOR THE F-L-A-G-R-A-N-T B-R-E-A-C-H OF THE “L-E-G-I-T-I-M-A-T-E” “P-R-I-N-C-I-P-L-E-S O-F D-E-M-O-C-R-A-C-Y (I.E., AND E.G., IN THE F-A-I-L-U-R-E OF THE BREXIT REFERENDUM RESULT TOTAL, TO ACHIEVE EVEN A B-A-R-E M-I-N-I-M-U-M M-A-J-O-R-I-T-Y T-A-L-L-Y, FOR A ‘M-A-J-O-R-I-T-Y W-I-N’!)”!
    .
And so!… the Brexit “win”… like the “wins” seen so often in our PSEUDODEMOCRATIC PSEUDOELECTIONS (AND EVEN IN ELECTIONS WHEREIN SAID “PLURALITY TOTALS”– E.G., IN AMERICA!– MIGHT BE FAVORED OVER ELECTORAL COLLEGE “WINS”!)!… I-S A S-H-A-M!! And!… it escapes me, why “plurality-driven citizens” from respective “democracies (so-called!)” from around the world, haven’t challenged these scurrilous, and shameful “F-A-U-X P-U-B-L-I-C R-E-F-E-R-E-N-D-A”!… AND P-S-E-U-D-O-E-L-E-C-T-I-O-N-S!… AND!… haven’t brought civil proceedings against any and all institutions, which have allowed these G-L-O-B-A-L F-A-R-C-E-S to continue! And thus… re the Brexit Referendum result!… it’s my contention, that the Brexit Referendum is defeatable… AS IS THE 2016 U.S. ELECTION!… due to it’s inherent S-Y-S-T-E-M-I-C V-I-O-L-A-T-I-O-N of the “L-E-G-I-T-I-M-A-T-E” “PRINCIPLES OF DEMOCRACY”! But then… and again!… this would require BETTER LEGAL MINDS!
    .
This horrendous situation involving our PSEUDODEMOCRATIC PSEUDOELECTIONS, has resulted in “winning Candidates” winning (if, indeed, Pluralities are recognized!) with as little as 1/5th of the total number of eligible voters’ votes!… AND!… THEN DARING, TO CALL SUCH RESPECTIVE “WINS”, D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I-C! A-N-D W-O-R-S-E!… and in the case of the Brexit Referendum result (AND “PSEUDOWIN”!)!… such a “W-I-N” could– POTENTIALLY!– C-O-M-P-R-O-M-I-Z-E T-H-E S-E-C-U-R-I-T-Y O-F A-N E-N-T-I-R-E N-A-T-I-O-N! And so!… it’s no wonder why so many citizens within our respective “democracies (so-called!)” hate the elections process!… and!… hate Public Referenda!
    .
And!… to add Elections insult to Elections injury, there are “Parties” within countries… and again, composed of “winning Candidates” who have “won” with L-E-S-S than the E-S-S-E-N-T-I-A-L M-I-N-I-M-U-M needed for a “D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I-C P-L-U-R-A-L-I-T-Y”!… whose leadership cannot be chosen D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I-C-A-L-L-Y by the PEOPLE (e.g., in Canada!)!… and O-N-L-Y, by the Party (although, this is not to detract from the serious failings of the Elections Process in America, in the selection of America’s President!)! And further, rather than have the brightest!… the best!… “winning Candidates” from all across a country– and, from across a legislature’s floor!– forming Executive Cabinets (and in Canada– e.g.– composed of Ministers of Federal Departments, or Provincial Ministries!)!… THROUGH A NON PARTY-BASED LEGISLATURE OR PARLIAMENT (and something, incidentally, that municipalities have been doing for generations!… A-N-D, W-O-R-L-D-W-I-D-E)!… our current “PARTY-BASED DEMOCRACIES” have chosen, instead– A-N-D V-I-R-T-U-A-L-L-Y!– GANGS, CLIQUES, AND “P-S-E-U-D-O-S-O-C-I-A-L I-N-T-E-R-E-S-T-S”, TO ACT AS “GO-BETWEENS” FOR PARTY-BASED “OLIGARCHIC BACKROOM BOYZ”!
    .
But!… if all of this wasn’t bad enough, there’s no “NONE OF THE ABOVE” option on millions of voters’ ballots (AND “B-I-N-D-I-N-G”!… AS A PREREQUISITE!)!… nor, an “AUTOMATIC TRANSLATION” of the “NO SHOWS (i.e., eligible voters who have NOT cast a vote!)” to “B-I-N-D-I-N-G” “NONE OF THE ABOVE BALLOTS (inasmuch, as such ‘NO SHOWS’, can’t be translated as being ‘F-O-R’ any Candidate!)”! (BUT!… PLEASE NOTE!… IF OUR “NO SHOWS”– AS SUCH!– ARE DUE TO OUR P-O-L-I-T-I-C-A-L A-N-D S-O-C-I-A-L I-N-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y, O-R U-N-W-I-L-L-I-N-G-N-E-S-S, TO ADDRESS THE VOTER NEEDS OF OUR DISABLED/ INFIRMED!… AND, OUR YOUTH!… THEN SUCH “INABLED”, OR “UNWILLING”, SHOULD BE “HELPED” RE THEIR “I-N-A-B-I-L-T-Y”!… OR “HELPED” RE THEIR “U-N-W-I-L-L-I-N-G-N-E-S-S”!) And!… had the “NONE OF THE ABOVE” and the “TRANSLATED NO SHOW” provisions been addressed, many “NO SHOWS” would have shown up to vote (for fear of receiving a M-A-N-A-D-A-T-E-D “BINDING” “AUTOMATIC TRANSLATION”!)! And!… if combined “NO SHOW TRANSLATIONS”, together with directly cast “NONE OF THE ABOVE BALLOTS” were implemented (wherein– TOGETHER!– these OUTNUMBER the votes cast for any respective “running Candidate”!), this combined tally could have meant the introduction of “lottery lists” of Candidates within respective Districts (preselected!… and the members in which, would not be eligible to run as “running Candidates”!)!… from which, our “winners” could have then been chosen! And thereby!… E-F-F-E-C-T-I-N-G F-U-L-L R-E-P-R-E-S-E-N-T-A-T-I-O-N F-O-R E-V-E-R-Y S-I-N-G-L-E E-L-I-G-I-B-L-E V-O-T-E-R, A-N-D V-O-T-E!
    .
And so… and given the “politcal fair” we’ve received from every major “Party”, I ask you:… Should we be fearful of a “lottery list”, if a TRUE PLURALITY (i.e., with respect to my hypothetic model!) has denied all “running Candidates”?
    .
All one need ensure in the establishment of a “lottery list”, is the institution of PROPER SECURITY BACKGROUND CHECKS for “listed Candidates”, and the institution of “PROPER” “LISTED PREQUALIFICATIONS”!
    .
To return again to Brexit!… to juxtapose the just aforenoted “plurality template” onto Referenda!… and onto the Brexit Referendum, in particular!… if the directly cast “NONE OF THE ABOVE BALLOTS”, combined with the “TRANSLATED NO SHOWS”, OUTWEIGHED the votes cast for either the Brexit or Bremain scenarios, then NEITHER Brexit, nor Bremain, would be– DEMOCRATICALLY!– left on the table! And the MPs of the British Parliament would then be forced to renew their respective individual approaches, and collective approach, re their “arrangement” with the EU!… and, their respective dialogues, and collective dialogue, with the citizens of Britain!
    .
    And given… and in contrast to the abovenoted!… in the light of the process that was implementated for the Brexit Referendum (though, yet to be revealed “officially”!)!… WELL!… you have the makings of a P-O-O-R E-X-C-U-S-E F-O-R A D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I-C R-E-F-E-R-E-N-D-U-M!… A-N-D A P-O-O-R “R-A-T-I-O-N-A-L B-A-S-I-S” F-O-R T-H-E R-E-D-I-R-E-C-T-I-O-N O-F T-H-E F-U-T-U-R-E C-O-U-R-S-E F-O-R A-N E-N-T-I-R-E C-O-U-N-T-R-Y!!
    .
And so… and to sum up!… what we have, presently, are “P-S-E-U-D-O-D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I-C P-L-U-R-A-L-I-T-I-E-S (IF EVEN THESE CAN BE ACHIEVED!… E.G., A HILLARY CLINTON PSEUDODEMOCRATIC PLURALITY!)” IN THE G-U-I-S-E OF “D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I-C-A-L-L-Y E-L-E-C-T-E-D” CANDIDATES! An intolerable situation!… and deserving of both CONSTITUTIONAL CHALLENGES, and TORT ACTION! And!… A-N-Y O-T-H-E-R A-C-C-E-P-T-E-D P-L-U-R-A-L-I-T-Y OTHER THAN A “D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I-C P-L-U-R-A-L-I-T-Y” ACCEPTED BY A PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATE, AND/ OR BY A PROSPECTIVE VOTER (AND BASED UPON THE “L-E-G-I-T-I-M-A-T-E” “PRINCIPLES OF DEMOCRACY”, AS AFOREMENTIONED!… AND OTHER, THAN ONE INSTITUTED BY GOD!)!, IS A CANDIDATE, OR VOTER, WHO IS EITHER BLIND TO THE “LEGITIMATE” “PRINCIPLES OF DEMOCRACY”, OR WHO IS A TRAITOR TO THE “LEGITIMATE” “PRINCIPLES OF DEMOCRACY”! AND!… WHO IS EITHER BLIND, OR A TRAITOR, TO THE COMMON GOOD OF THE PEOPLE!
    .
THEREFORE, THE “J-U-S-T ESTABLISHMENT” OF “T-R-U-E DEMOCRATIC PLURALITIES” WITHIN OUR RESPECTIVE REFERENDA, AND ELECTIONS PROCESSES, IS F-U-N-D-A-M-E-N-T-A-L TO THE VERY REALIZATION OF “D-E-M-O-C-R-A-C-Y”!… AND!… WITHOUT WHICH, WE ARE SUBJECT TO MERE OLIGARCHIC WHIM!
    .
IT IS OUR DUTY AT THIS CRUCIAL TIME, TO CONTINUE THE FIGHT BEGUN BY LEARNED OTHERS!… TO R-E-S-I-S-T THE SLIDE INTO COMPLACENCY, AND INTO SELF-DOUBT! WE OWE IT TO OURSELVES, AND TO OUR COUNTRY, TO BE VIGILANT IN OUR CAMPAIGN TO OBSTRUCT, UNDERMINE, AND EVENTUALLY OVERTHROW THIS “ADVANCE OF TYRANNY”! AND WITH THAT THOUGHT, I LEAVE YOU, WITH THE FOLLOWING…

Given that the election was close, and given that almost half of all actual voters supported Clinton, you would expect, in a normal world, that the soon to be enthroned party crasher would truly reach out to the opposition and speak about “our common goals,” etc. But instead, you have an insult hurled at Clinton’s husband, the former president, and a parade of generals and oligarchs tapped to advance the fantasy agenda of the Far Right. Something that I venture to say *most* voters will be opposed to as it is rolled out. I’m waiting to see how much of a post-democratic state we become under this noxious regime.

You know the “Free French” vs the “Vichy French”?

Hillary’s the President of FreeAmerica as far as I’m concerned!

Our system for electing a President is a marvel of screwiness: It looks like Hillary lost the election because too many people voted for her. Worse yet, it’s an ‘Only In America’ thing.
