NEW YORK CITY: Madonna Gives Surprise Free Concert For Hillary In Washington Square Park [VIDEO]

Billboard reports:

Madonna gave New Yorkers the surprise of a lifetime when she serenaded the crowd at Washington Square Park on Monday night (Nov. 7) with a special acoustic performance in support of Hillary Clinton.

She stood in the center of Washington Square Fountain surrounded by a group comprised mostly of NYU students and cheered as she performed covers of John Lennon’s “Imagine” and Peter, Paul and Mary’s “If I Had A Hammer,” as well as her own songs “Rebel Heart” and “Like A Prayer.”

She amped up the crowd and encouraged everyone to get to the polls Tuesday to vote, saying, “Vote with your heart, vote with your mind, vote with your spirit, vote with your soul. Save this country, please.”

I included several snippet videos from Twitter for their various angles. The full concert is at the bottom from an attendee’s Facebook stream.

    Goddess divas are real.

Pffft… that’s nothing. I hear that the Duck Dynasty guy is doing rectal duck calls for Trump supporters in his bathtub.

  • ShawnSwagger

Oh, yeah? Well Ted Nugent grabbed his crotch at a Trump event today. So there’s that…

[Somebody else is going to have to supply the brain bleach. I’m all out.]

That whole album is great. If I remember correctly, Bowie produced it.

          • Phillip in L.A.

If by “produced” you also mean “knocked boots with Lou” then I know absolutely nothing about it!

I mean, are Madonna, Jay-Z, Beyonce, LeBron and Springsteen really as big as Ted Nugent and the guy who played Chachi?

      • Traxley Launderette

        And THE Joe Piscopo.

      • Judas Peckerwood

You know, “the guy who played Chachi” has an actual name. I just can’t recall what it is at the moment.

    • Cuberly

I watched a few snippets from his “performance”. It was basically him noodling on a guitar and ranting like someones angry uncle. And what they called humor totally eluded me. Here’s a paraphrased example.

“Someone got mad at me because I told them I eat venison. So I told them, next year I’m gonna hunt even more deer!” (Audience goes wooooot!)

      That’s humor?

      • Judas Peckerwood

From your description I picture him delivering those cryptic lines in a 1950s coffee house to an audience of beatniks snapping their fingers in lieu of applause.

        • Phillip in L.A.

          Jack Kerouac, baby

        • Cuberly

Well, instead of black clothes, substitute camo worn when not hunting and you pretty much have a redneck beatnik.

          • Judas Peckerwood

            Rednik? Beatneck?

          • Cuberly

            Rednik works. 😉

          • Lumpy Gaga

    • For those of the male persuasion, let me do some gal-splaining: When a man grabs his crotch like that and goes on about his genitals and makes allusions to violence — ‘black and blue’ in this case — that’s known as rape culture.

We women know exactly what he’s doing and why, and the threat being implied.

She and fellow wacko Travolta have houses on isleboro in Maine. We went through their harbor this summer to gauk at the .2% ers. It’s a very long but narrow island, I was surprised how close in the mega mega mansions were-we kind of felt sorry for the old money folks, can you imagine what it’s like when those two show up in such a tiny community?

But then we didn’t feel sorry. The houses were amazing. Not McMansions, actual amazing, in many cases stone, mansions. One had to be 100,000 square feet. Pool had movable walls and roof! All the docks had the true sign of old money: modest sized Hincklys. No mega yachts, actual sea worthy touring yachts (but still costing more than a very nice house!). It’s fun to rubberneck knowing that’s as close as we’ll ever get.

Huffington Post had a new story on Trump’s taxes but I think at this point it’s just another drop in the bucket. Trump’s supporters already know he’s a 20+ year tax cheat and apparently that’s okay with them.

      • Bruno

I was hoping he had had the mental breakdown we’ve all been expecting and started shooting people on the street to drive up his poll numbers.

        • ShawnSwagger

Politico and some others have been reporting that he is going off-script again and ignoring Kellyanne’s teleprompter, but the stuff he said was just weird/goofy/senile-sounding. He went on and on about a rubber Trump mask, took credit for the NFL’s viewership declining, complained about rap music and did some bizarre comments about a fireman’s helmet. I think he knows it’s over and doesn’t care anymore or he’s just tired or something.

          • Bruno

I mean, I guess he can do that now that there’s no time left to alienate anybody. Though who knows, in this day and age, news travels fast.

Dickens was actually one of the few Western authors they allowed to be published in the USSR, Amanda B., presumably because he showed how capitalism “degraded” London in the 19th century.

So, it’s possible Melania read it in Russian before ever coming to the West.

Around 3 in the morning he will adjust more. Gotta cover his ass.

      • ShawnSwagger

Yeah, he upped her chances 8 (!) percentage points in one day today, which he hasn’t done a shift like that all year and today’s polls are certainly not different enough from the last 2-3 weeks’ polls to justify that shift.

    • With enough turnout, I still think Ohio, Iowa, and Arizona are within reach.

      • Lazycrockett

I’m putting my final EC together and while I think she will lose Iowa, Hillary will win Arizona. I haven’t locked in Ohio yet. Leaning towards Hillary but not sure.

      • Bruno

Yet he’ll win amongst the military I bet.

        • ShawnSwagger

That’s an interesting story. A couple months ago, Hillary was leading Donald by far among supporters/endorsements with the Army and to a lesser extent the Marines, but Trump had a hefty lead among endorsements from the Air Force, and to a lesser extent the Navy. As far as I know, no reporter ever dug into why the difference among the branches.

          • Bruno

All I can think is that he criticized the family of a troop who died on the ground, rather than at sea or in the air?

          • LookielouE1707

The Air Force has been the object of a deliberate, systematic takeover by Christianists. The Army and Marines, I would imagine, are more demographically diverse due to the backgrounds of their recruiting pool.

        • sfbob

Or maybe not. I read somewhere this morning (probably Daily Kos) that members of the military have contributed far more to Clinton than to Trump.

Hey, what time are the tacos tomorrow?

    • Sam_Handwich
      • Lazycrockett

Florida is gonna probably be called early I say we will know this by 9 EST.

        • DaddyRay

          I hope so

          • Lazycrockett

            70 % have already voted.

          • DaddyRay

Yeah but if it is a tight outcome or the news media want to drag it out for ratings we may not know for hours

          • Lazycrockett

With the amount of Hispanics go to the polls I don’t think its going to be tight. I think its going to be obvious that Drumpf will never lead in the FL. results.

          • djcoastermark

As I said earlier, on the local news here in Fla, over half the registered voters in the state have already voted. Be it by mail in or early voting. And yes, The I-4 corridor has been a big player.

        • Bruno

They won’t call it early just to stretch things along as much as possible.

        • Sam_Handwich

#’s out of NH might give us some clues too

          • Bruno

NH is the nailbiter state for me. If it’s called early and easily, I’ll exhale. If it’s “too close to call” I’ll worry a little until it’s called. If she loses it, I’ll check with Canadian immigration.

      • DumbHairyApe

“handy”? I see what you did there.

  • DumbHairyApe

Has anyone heard any electoral or popular vote comparison polls between candidates Handwich and Jalepeño_Business???

    • We won’t know until they’re both done stuffing the ballot boxes.

      • Dreaming Vertebrate

        … with free tacos??

    • Sam_Handwich

Many people are saying Handwich landslide. Many people are also saying Jalapeño grabs goats.

  • Bruno

So I’m watching the results tomorrow with some Bernie busters (or at least I think they still are…we don’t talk about it). Should be fun.

    • KnownDonorDad

How upsetting the results will be for them, no matter what happens.

      • Bruno

Well, one of them told me she wants Hillary to win so I don’t think they’ll be upset at this point. But I doubt they voted for her.

    • Ninja0980

Will be missing the first two hours of it.
Hopefully by the time I get home around 9:30 or 10:00 Hillary will be close to winning it all and getting a Democratic Senate too.

      • Sam_Handwich

same schedule for me tomorrow night, dammit!

      • Bruno

I’m going to miss a share of the results too as I navigate a few errands. Hopefully I won’t miss when Florida is called for Hillary and Murphy.

  • RainbowPhoenix

My twentieth birthday was about two weeks after Obama was elected. It was the first election I was able to vote in. The stakes seemed so high back then, but compared to now…

    • My first Presidential election was ’84 (I was 1 year too young for ’80). But I was precocious and followed politics from ’68 onward.

I maintain the stakes have never been higher than this year. There were obviously a lot of important elections, but not until this time has the country itself been at stake.

      • RainbowPhoenix

I started following politics in 2000 actually. If nothing else can be said about that fiasco, at least it was a good learning experience, and why even when I was young and naïve like I was eight years ago I never considered withholding my vote if my preferred candidate lost the primary.

      • Cuberly

84 was the first for me too.

I have total recall of being in college, working on a theater production, folding theater programs with a group of others meeting our production credit obligations, and admitting that I voted for (gasp) Reagan. Insert record scratch. EVERYONE looked at me, and I was summarily educated.

It’s the ONLY vote I’ve wanted to take back.

        I’ve come a long way.

        • AJ Drew

          what’s a record scratch? /s

          • Cuberly

            lol…..(sigh) I miss LPs.

          • AJ Drew

ah, they are making a come back. Did ya keep yours?

      • sfbob

1960 was the first election I paid attention to. I was 9 and fervently supporting JFK, just like my folks were (well my mom at least; Dad never discussed politics though after having fought in WWII he was fervently anti-war).

    • sfbob

1972. I didn’t vote for Nixon. Hard luck for me: I turned 21 the year the voting age went down to 18.
The stakes really are always high. Maybe not in the contests between Eisenhower and Stephenson but ever since then. It’s just that they’re particularly high this year.

  • DaddyRay

It is time to tell the Alt-Right to stick it where the sun don’t shine

Bannon and InfoWars have created a niche below (sewer dwelling) Fox, and are greedily wringing their hands at the potential clicks and ad revenue at feeding the Trumpists during a Hillz administration.

I kinda sorta wonder if winning wasn’t even part of the equation with these low lifes.

      • Bruno

Who done paid Gravis to make actual poll thingies?

  • Bill Post

Ted Nugent is going “humm” the star spangled banner out of his ass at the Trump ralley…followed by Toby Keith beating up a paraplegic.

    • Lazycrockett

Well if paraplegics wanted to make Murica great again they would get out of that chair and get a job.

  • Lazycrockett

I’ll say if the Grand Rapid’s Drumpf rally is anything like the NH one, expect a lot of hate, name calling and BS lies x10. It’s gonna be shower worthy.

  • DaddyRay

I bet both Trump and Clinton are glad it is almost over – I can’t imagine what it has to be like flying around the country, always being “on” and having to deal with all the security.
As for the rest of us, it will be nice not having my mailbox filled with campaign crap and being spammed with ads on our computers and TVs

    • Cuberly

I disagree in thinking Trump is glad it’s over. He loves his adulation fix.

      • DaddyRay

Yeah but he probably misses his phone

        • Bruno

He probably misses the days when he wasn’t about to face a stinging defeat in both the presidential race and his business life.

          • Cuberly

He’s so jacked up and in denial right now, nothing registers.

If only the people who were voting were those who’s ancestors didn’t kill, maim, infect and imprison the indigenous people, Hillary would win all 50 states.

      • Talisman

I’m using my mom’s recipe. She raised 4 kids on a truck-driver’s salary, and learned to stretch the meals. Her filling was made of hamburger meat, taco seasoning, rice, and sweet yellow corn. The rice & corn were cheap fillers (at least in the 80’s), and turned our tacos into a full meal, no side needed.

First, I preheat the over to 350 degrees.

Then, I brown the beef. Once the beef is done,I throw in the seasoning with a cup of water/rice (more or less, based on the amount of meat I’m using), bring the mixture to a boil, and let it sit for 10 minutes. I don’t add the corn to the recipe anymore, but it does enhance the filling with a bit of sweetness. If you use the corn, it might be better to pre-cook it.

As soon as the filling mix has been put to rest, I wrap the flour shells in foil and thrown them in the oven. At this point I usually turn off the oven, because, if you leave it on, the shell’s tend to get hard and brittle.

Once the shells are ready, it’s just a matter of spooning in the filling and adding any extras you like – lettuce/tomato/sour cream/cheese.

I usually spoon the filling and extras on one side of the shell, fold over one end, and roll it up. You can use a toothpick to hold it together until you’re ready to eat it.

The filling itself can be used as a meal unto itself, kind of like a casserole. If there are leftovers the next day, I usually just heat it up, sprinkling some cheese over the top, and eat it. I imagine it could be used as a base in a number of different ways – maybe as the base of nachos?

They don’t have Florida being called until midnight

      • TK

They predict we’ll know the winner at around 11:20 when NC is called. FL usually gets a late call they said because the top west portion is in a different time zone. The soonest it would be called is after those polls close out of respect for the state.

Some folks are warning it could be a warning sign of things to come in MI, PA etc.
IMO, part of it stems from the belief she didn’t help them enough when she was Senator… but the other part is Obama wins in some spots or not, we have very red parts of NY and even if they went for Obama in the past, they wouldn’t go for him or any Democrat now.

Illegal for most of us, but with good lawyers anything’s possible.

      • Not necessarily. Sometimes the IRS likes to make examples of tax evaders.

    • Talisman

Generally speaking, out democracy operates based on tradition. And many of the amendments to the Constitutions have come about because someone has violated that tradition.

Maybe this will be a moment that the election process in American gets another Constitutional rejiggering.

    • DaveW

This is one thing that really gets my blood boiling. I blame the media. At every
Mention of trump, every Kelly Anne appearance ask relentlessly “what is he hiding”. At least half the voters are stupid and care about what they are told to by their chosen media. They have failed us!

  • ByronK

My gut tells me you guys are going to be just fine. There might be some serious bumps, but you’ll be good. Happy pre-election sleep everyone.

    • Thanks Byron, and g’nite.

      • ByronK

        Nite Becca!

    • Cuberly

Thanks, we need all the good vibes we can get.

      (Hugz), nite nite….

      • ByronK

Hugs, so there for you guys. Going to a pub here to watch some of the returns but well try to touch in. xo

    • kevin vincent

Not sure I will be able to sleep well tonight *sigh* work will be rough

      • ByronK

        Hang in there!

        • kevin vincent

anxiety will be bad tomrrow I just know it been staying away from Twitter the Trumpies are attacking Springsteen

  • JCF

Wingnuts losing their shit re Gaga’s outfit in 3…2…1…

    • Because she dressed up as Michael Jackson? Why?

      • JCF

They’ll call it some “Hitlery Stormtrooper” uniform.

      • ByronK

I was getting more of a Janet or Beyonce vibe.

        • TK

That is an actual MJ outfit

          • Yeah, hence why I recognized it. The red armband was a giveaway.

          • ByronK

            Ewwww 🙁

  • Ninja0980

Going to vote when the doors open tomorrow.
Have to be honest… don’t think I’ll get much sleep tomorrow.
I think Hillary will win but as Yogi says, it ain’t over until it’s over.
We need Hillary with a Democratic Senate tomorrow for it to be considered a total victory.

    • I’ve also not given up all hope for turning the House blue, too. I know it’s not likely…but I’ll still hold out a touch of hope.

      • Ninja0980

Sure wish the pussygate tape had come out one week later…would have kept it in the news longer.

        • Talisman

2 weeks, to offset the Comey letter.

    • Michael Smith

I plan on voting at 7 A.M unless the line is too long because I have work. If the line is too long, I’ll vote in the afternoon, but believe me I’m gonna vote for Hillary Clinton tomorrow.

      • My wife and I voted last week. Lots of early voting opportunities here in the State of Enchantment.

We may stupidly have a GOP governor, but our voting schedule and machines are top-notch.

        • Michael Smith

California’s early voting system varies by county, and my county only lets you vote at the election office. Otherwise I would have voted weeks ago.

          • I know what you mean. My wife and I lived in Cali for about ten years.

        • Ninja0980

Wish NY would allow early voting as well.
But the Republicans in the State Senate and the DINO’s they power share with will never allow it.

  • Michael Smith

Actually I was looking on Wikipedia page, and other than the tie four years ago, Dixville Notch has had a decent streak of picking the winner in recent elections.

    • sfbob

      Results are in:
      Clinton 4
      Trump 2
      Johnson 1
      Mitt Romney write-in 1

      • So basically, it’s Clinton at 50%, Donald at 25%, and Johnson and the ineligible Mittens at 12.5% each.

        I like those numbers.

  • ByronK

Pence, god, god, god, blah, blah, blah, god, lots of bullshit lies even though I’m a Christian, blah, bad Jews, blah, god.

    • kevin vincent

what about Jews? so how is the rally going for Trump?

      • In Trump’s earlier rally tonight, he thought it’d really help him by going all racist again on Senator Elizabeth Warren by repeatedly calling her ‘Pocahontas’ and saying literally everybody hates her.

        • sfbob

Because that’s the kind of a-hole Trump is.

  • ByronK

Just in case things go weird, I’m taking a waiting list for those who want to come north bu there is a strict screening process.

    • TampaDink

You are so kind. I fear that, worst case scenario, nowhere on the planet will be safe from the nuclear war that the orange menace is spoiling for.

      • ByronK

Well, that’s a great way to fuck up looking for a BF. Thanks so much TampaDink. Maybe I can return the favour sometime!!! 😉

        • TampaDink

          I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be a downer.

          • ByronK

Oh well, don’t worry about me….I’ll be fine…

          • TampaDink

People are saying that you are the finest. Who am I to doubt them?

          • ByronK

Well, I have to admit, they are the best people who are saying that!

          • TampaDink

I’ve been hearing that everywhere. Believe me.

          • ByronK

I’m flattered but don’t believe everything you hear.

          • TampaDink

            I only trust reliable sources.

      • Treant

        McMurdo Sound, Antarctica.

        It’s your best bet.

        • TampaDink

I believe that is where Rachel mentioned that John Kerry is headed this week. Coincidence?

    • AJ Drew

Just to be clear… in your icon, is that a big bone or a pussy bow?

      • ByronK

        Bone. Just a bone. lol

        • AJ Drew

ok. I willingly submit my “just in case” application then. lolz.

    • DumbHairyApe

What qualifications do you need to be on the waiting list? Does any of it involve poutine- because that stuff scares me?

      • ByronK

Main non, pas de poutine. Trust me, the qualifications are a bit subjective but hey, what did you expect?

    • Treant

      I put out.

      • ByronK

        Done. Phone me. (lol)

  • Michael Smith

I haven’t always agreed with Nate Silver this year, but I got a chuckle out of this:
    https://twitter.com/NateSilver538/status/795857359579086848

    • Treant

Now that’s funny…but fortunately, there’s been tons of early voting.

      • Ninja0980

        Nate attacked Jon Ralston tonight.
Sorry but when it comes to NV, I’ll take Ralston over whatever Nate screams about with polls.

        • Treant

I saw. At this point, I credit Clinton with NV. Plus NC, FL, and a fifty-fifty chance at Ohio.

          • Lazycrockett

If I have another drink I’m going to give Hillary a 368 EC win.

          • TampaDink

I’ll drink to THAT. (As if I ever needed a reason for another drink!)

          • Lazycrockett

I honestly think the Hispanic/Latino vote is going to be through the roof. Im almost ready to put Georgia in play.

          • TampaDink

I live in hope. (Not like Bill Clinton did….but you know what I mean.)

    • DaddyRay

      Nate throwing some shade

      • Lazycrockett

I think Nate needs to get out and work on his social skills a bit more. He’s coming off like someone who got his action figures stolen.

  • Treant
    • DaddyRay

      Off to a great start

  • DaddyRay
    • djcoastermark

Cool to see George is still hanging around. 🙂

    • Talisman

Lady bugs are all well and good, until you have so many of them you can’t even vacuum them all away.

My parents live in an area in AL where the state/county regularly releases lady bugs to deal with aphid infestations. There house is often crawling with the insects. My mom has given up trying to keep up.

      • DaddyRay

I live on a golf course and some years I get about 40 or 50 of them – this year has not been bad

        • Talisman

          40 or 50?

Every time I visit my parents, I have to literally empty the lampshade in the guest room and bathroom. There are hundreds – so many that they actually block the light from those fixtures.

          • DaddyRay

I am glad I don’t get them that bad

    • Cuberly

Waves at Lady George, Hi George!

  • SoCalGal20

Surge in early voting in Alaska (well, on one of the Aleutian islands anyway).

    https://twitter.com/kucbnews/status/795855677558124544

    • Michael Smith

Hope turnout is up across the board. Trump doesn’t stand a chance in my opinion with high turnout.

      • leastyebejudged

The weed ballot measures are sure helping !

    • TampaDink

That is the island where “Deadliest Catch” is based….out of Dutch Harbor. I’d like to believe that the voters there lean blue but am afraid that I might be expecting too much.

    • Lazycrockett

Alaska is damn pissed off bout the pipeline bullshit going down in SD.

  • Michael Smith

Hart’s Location also voted for Hillary, and they also have a surprisingly decent record. Tea leaves, tea leaves everywhere

      vs DTs midnight rally…

      http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/11/07/trump-makes-chaotic-midnight-pitch.html

“Trump’s witching-hour rally in Virginia summed up his entire campaign; disastrous organization, ill-disciplined candidate, and legions of adoring fans.”

    • AJ Drew

“my opponent” vs his name, yes, he doesn’t deserve mention.

      • Talisman

        aka “the dumpster”.

I refuse to give him enough respect my naming him outright.

      • AJ Drew

quick fire verbal propaganda, but it’s on point and she’s sounding strong. “Deal me in.” fook yeah.

    • AJ Drew

“you gotta vote to get rid of HB2!” yup.

    • AJ Drew

“none of us wanna wake up Wednesday morning and wish we had done more”

    • AJ Drew

“an America where we build bridges, not walls.”

  • ByronK

Looking at that fantastic lady… He can’t get through a rally with out being a letch!!!

  • JCF

Is it my TV, or is there a woman behind Drumpf who appears to be green? [Elphaba, say it ain’t so!]

    • JCF

I think it’s because she’s right behind the Ur-Orange that is Drumpf—the contrast.

  • saucetin

Jeez, after Idris Elba put the kabosh on rumors he was dating Madonna, she went straight to an *even younger* guy (pic. from post) gogurrl?

  • ByronK

Really, really, not right in the head!!!

    • kevin vincent

      what;s going on?

      • ByronK

The usual crazy rambling at a rally….it doesn’t make sense!!!

        • He’s become even moreso over the last month.

          • ByronK

Completely off the hook, lie after lie and what frightens me is do many people have swallowed it hook line and sinker.

  • Cuberly
  • JCF

    Here comes Hilz!

    • ByronK

Fuck, I so want to go to bed!!!!

      • djcoastermark

so do I but I am caught up in all of this.

        • ByronK

          I know, make it stop!!!!

      • JCF

Hillary “sure worth staying up for!” 😀

  • Talisman

I should have turned the channel. Sam couldn’t make me, but still I heard the dumpster’s speech.

More of the same. More hate, more divisiveness, more suggestions of retribution.

I am comfortable numb from Cuervo overload, so it’s all just rolling over me.

    • kevin vincent

what dies he mean by retribution?

      • Talisman

        “Lock her up”.

The theme since the last debate has been Hillary as a criminal, and how Trump with appoint a special prosecutor to ensure she is sent to jail.

  • DaddyRay

I have to say I loved my trip to Asheville NC – I would love to go back, especially to see the fall leaves. Come on NC – Go Blue and kick out your worthless PoS Governor.

  • Talisman

Bill, Bill, Bill…it’s not “don’t quit until the polls close”; it’s “don’t quit until ever vote is cast”!

  • ByronK

Wow, I must admit it really gives me a shock into my own age when I see Bill Clinton.

    • Talisman

I get that just by looking into a mirror.

      • ByronK

        Quiet now…

  • DaddyRay

    What are they yelling?

    • JCF

      I was wondering that, too.

    • AJ Drew

Hillz resplendant in that red dress!

Nah… actually “Here we go Hillary, here we go!

      • Talisman

As long as she’s not wearing that knitted monstrosity that has been a staple during this campaign.

      • AJ Drew

oh, my bad… “McCrory choke on cookies, choke on them!”

        http://www.redstate.com/files/2013/07/cookies-300×300.jpg

        • Blake J Butler

Bitch ain’t deserving of no cookie, he more deserving of one of Minny’s famous “chocolate pies” from The Help.

          • AJ Drew

I think the protester presented with said cookies had that thought… perhaps not about the what was in the cookies, but about what is in the person who gave them.

      • JCF

The red dress (of Debate1): “wearing the blood of the men who have underestimated her”. >;-)

  • JCF

    Hilz thanking, channelling Gaga!

  • JCF

Now shouting out Jon Bon, “after polls close, we’ll be living on a prayer”. 😉

    • Talisman

      of woah woah…oh woah woah…

  • DaddyRay

Great shout outs to the other people on the ballot in NC

  • JCF

“Send Deborah Ross to Washington”: PLEASE!

  • DaddyRay

    “inclusive” – yeah Hizs

  • houstonray

Hillary’s rally in Raleigh (LOL!) is great, the crowd is energized and awesome!

Side note, CNN was split screening Hillary and Donald, they just took him offscreen and went full screen on her. BWAHAHA!

    • houstonray

Oops, they went back to split screen. Boo!

  • Ninja0980

Good reminder about the down ballot.
Time to send Trump, McCrory and Burr packing!

    • DaddyRay

I will be glad to send them moving boxes

      • djcoastermark

I’ll gladly go to the wallmart plastic bag recycle bin to grab them a bunch of plastic bags .

  • Talisman

Chick over Hill’s right shoulder needs some head-n-shoulders. She keeps scratching her head.

  • JCF

I’ve given the same sermon at two different services. I don’t know how politicians are able to give the same stump speech over and over (I’d go nuts). [Of course, Drumpf avoids this conundrum by just saying whatever @ssholery pops into his diseased brain]

  • ByronK

    Billy Graham is dead asshole.

  • JCF

    CNN has Hilz on.

  • Ninja0980

Five hours from now, I will be casting my vote along with the hubby and doing my part down ballot as well.
After the vote.. I’ll be a nervous wreck the rest of the day.

    • Talisman

      Early voting FTW.

      I’m *officially* with her.

      • JCF

Me too! Just got my Vote By Mail ballot yesterday, filled out, dropped off today! 😀

    • DaddyRay

Go out and have a wonderful breakfast and get aways for an hour or two – it will do wonders

      • Ninja0980

Going to take some photos of the leaves we have left before the cold and snow finish them off this weekend.

        • DaddyRay

Good idea – they are falling off in droves

  • Talisman

There it is again…”one people, under one god”. That line has to be the scariest thing the dumpster says.

    • Especially since the only ‘god’ Donald worships is himself.

  • Lazycrockett

Im watching supergirl which is nice.

    • JCF

      Recording. Alex&Maggie!!! <3<3

      • Lazycrockett

The new super guy from sister planet is HOT.

  • djcoastermark

Yes, discrimination, get rid of HB2!

  • ByronK

Oh please, just go crawl into your shit packed den and get ready to cry Donald.

  • JCF

She takes it down a notch: “and if you believe we should NEVER write discrimination into our laws” {applause builds} “you’ve got to VOTE to GET RID OF HB2!!!”

  • houstonray

Hillary is just stunning. She looks happy, she looks strong, she looks, well, amazing…and I think this crowd in NC is really energizing everything.

Now lets translate that into votes NC!!!!!!!!!!

    • DaddyRay

I will be so Proud to have Hillary as our POTUS

      • houstonray

She’s just awesome, and I have a feeling she is going to be a very different kind of President…in a really good way.

        • DaddyRay

So do I – she has been around the block and knows better than fall for the GOP bipartisan gag that never materializes. She is smart and a policy wonk – I expect great things from her. It will also make watching the transition of power in January so much more enjoyable.

          • Ninja0980

Be more enjoyable if she has a Democratic Senate to work with, to confirm judges if nothing else.

          • DaddyRay

            Sing Out Louise

          • houstonray

            Amen to that!

          • Talisman

The projections suggest a 50/50 split, but Dems gaining the upper hand as a result of Kaine’s Constitutional appointment as President of the Senate.

That means, of course, that every Democrat must attend every session of the Senate.

And that the Democrats will more than likely drop the nuclear bomb so that confirmations are not stalled by filibuster (which requires a super majority to stop).

Another option would be to do away with the “administrative” filibuster, where a Senator simply files a complaint and walks away, and make them go old-school – making the Senator stand up and speak until s/he can no longer maintain the filibuster.

        • Talisman

I really hope she finds a way to put the obstructionist republicans in their place. Congress threatened to sue over Obama’s EO’s; maybe she can sue over their refusal to act on nominees.

  • houstonray

And Donald just walked off the stage, his rally is over. Ha!

    • He looks tired.

    • Treant

So is his candidacy, but let’s not tell him that just yet.

    • Talisman

It’s time for the purell bath.

    • kevin vincent

so what was the rally like>

      • houstonray

His was dark, depressing and honestly even the crowd seemed down…Hillary is 100 kinds of epic!!!

        • kevin vincent

I guess they see the writing on the wall? so he was low energy?

          • Yes and yes. Somewhere deep down, he knows he’s about to lose in a blowout to a woman he hates.

          • kevin vincent

I wonder if he actually hates her they been friends for literally decades and not even a few years ago he was praising her

          • Talisman

Like he has any human emotions other than disdain and hatred.

          • Pathological psychotic narcissists don’t have friends. They know people they think they can use for their benefit.

        • ByronK

Not to be a downer, but when Obama was elected I said you can change the head but that won’t alter the body of the monster. Winning the Senate will be a big thing because otherwise, they will stop her at every turn like they did with Obama. And of course they then accuse him of not doing anything. So fucked up.

          • Ninja0980

And that is where Comey did the most damage.
We were never going to get the House back but the Senate was in our hands until Comey did what he did.

          • Bruno

Well at the very least if the Senate stays red, they won’t have tRump rubberstamping all their mischief and fuckery. Not to mention nominating Ted Cruz to SCOTUS. At least Hillary can prevent THAT from happening.

  • JCF

    Hilz back on MSNBC.

  • JCF

And that’s it! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!!!

  • houstonray
  • houstonray
  • houstonray
    • JCF

I love how they inscribed the H-arrow into the heart. Yay, graphic design!

      • AJ Drew

yeah, where da fook was this sign a few months ago, and if it was available, how did I miss it? Fook me. I would have “painted” my home with that.

        • JCF

No, it was around months ago.

          • AJ Drew

ok, I’m a bad libtard then. Truly.

  • DaddyRay

When our side wins we celebrate Love and Equality
When their side wins the celebrate Hate and Bigotry

I am so glad to be on our side

  • Lazycrockett
  • Talisman

Damn: Andrea & Ari going on *again* about the damn Comey letter.

    • Ninja0980

Andrea’s meltdown tomorrow will be really fun.

      • Lazycrockett

She has become so sad. she has followed Hillary for decades and now just hates.

    • houstonray

No one cares about the damn emails!

  • DaddyRay

Ok my fellow Adorable’s – time for bed.

Election Day is finally here – get out there and make it happen!
    Taco Tuesday for Everyone!

    • Talisman

      night.

    • AJ Drew

Basket of Adorables… [insert puppy pile photo]… awww.

      • AJ Drew
        • Talisman

I lost my dear Murphy 2.5 years ago. I really think it’s time to fill the hole in my life, but I’m looking to change jobs/locations, and don’t want to put an animal through all that stress.

          • AJ Drew

Good on you for thinking that through… get settled and then adopt. Lots of pups (or adult or senior) dogs in shelters everywhere.

          • Talisman

I’ve considered fostering, but the idea of having to give the dogs up breaks my heart.

          • JCF

You could volunteer at a shelter?

          • AJ Drew

Yeah, I absolutely get that. But, sounds like you get it… get settled and then find a furry roommate to rule your life.

          • JCF

Aw. {{{Talisman}}} I still miss the doggies I lost 30+ years ago. They never leave our hearts…

          • Ninja0980

Still miss my childhood dog, even though she’s been gone for 14 years now.

          • I lost my beloved Newfie over 10 years ago…and I still dream about her sometimes.

          • AJ Drew

Yeah, my bordie/bassett mix haunts me, an odd looking critter that was both lazy yet could surprisingly run like the wind, knew how to both annoy the fook outta me yet make me laugh, and though other dogs have followed into my life, I still really miss that fooker.

    • Ninja0980

      Night!

    • djcoastermark

Snuggle up and keep George warm.

  • Jon Doh

The difference between the crowd behind Hillary and what I just saw at Trump’s crowd in Grand Rapids. Trump’s group looked lifeless in comparison, few smiles. I think they know he’s toast.

      • Michael Smith

And to think Michigan is his big push for a blue state.

        • kevin vincent

So the rally was a disaster?

          • Michael Smith

            Looks like it.

          • Talisman

Not a disaster. Just a dud.

Hope his campaign ends as such… still nervous but I blame Trumper induced paranoia

          • houstonray

It ended much like it started, with fake people holding stupid signs while he was on the way down…escalator/polls, same diff….

          • Traxley Launderette

A couple of friends and I really considered going. I’m off work today so staying out late wouldn’t have been a problem. The line was surprisingly long. From what I gathered on social media, it was about 60% Trumpanzees, 40% people like me hoping dor a trainwreck.

But we decided to stay home and give Trump the attention he deserved. None.

        • If he had pros running his campaign, they would’ve STARTED on the east coast and flown west as the day and evening progressed to gain the time zone advantage. Someone with sense would’ve ended Trump’s day in a must-win but winnable state like Arizona or Nevada.

Mind, I’m glad they’re a bunch of fuck-ups, but only an idiot starts west and flies east when trying to put as many rallies into a day as possible.

          • zhera

Alex Jones probably told them not to believe in time zones, that it’s an Illuminati conspiracy aimed at making people believe the Earth is round.

    • Homo Erectus

  • Ninja0980

By the way, here in NY, a Bernie back far left candidate is losing by 6-8 points in the Congressional race she is in.
What happened to the Bernie/Steinbots who said progressives would vote in droves and crush any Republican if a “true” progressive was on the ballot?

    • Lazycrockett

That Bernie Bro movement shit in its pants and died when The Comic book story owner told them what to do. Bernie died that night.

      • Ninja0980

Not to mention the harsh reality that this isn’t a far left country and even in blue states, there is a limit.
If Teachout wants to run in CA or WA, she can do so.
But here in NY, you better more towards the middle when it comes to running in a swing district or you won’t win.

        • Noel Kanalley

Erm. . .Teachout is a center left New Deal democrat. ..not a corporatist stooge. That’s hardly radical. And the district she’s running in is evenly split between hippie back to the landers and people who should probably move to Pennsyltucky. Don’t knock all of Upstate NY as redneck land. There are a ton of progressives up here too.

Yes, if memory serves they were paid fifty bucks a pop to be there.

      • RainbowPhoenix

        They actually got paid?

    • Yes, he did. In fact, they grabbed people off the street, offered them small sums of money to put on t-shirts and to cheer the Cheeto Hitler.

Monkey Alert. Here’s the latest tracking of the Rhesus monkey. So it looks like the polls were right, he did head south towards St Pete. Wildlife officials think they got him with a tranquilizer dart but still haven’t found the little guy. Will today be the day this all ends? The latest sighting is the black square. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/8554c15cd8bed0e7ea55d3bde09dd185842f27130cc03def59ae8e9c446facec.jpg

  • BTW, apropos of feminism dating back to the 1970s and earlier, when I cast my vote last week, I know it said “Hillary Clinton (Democrat)” on my ballot, but in reality I whispered, “I’m voting for President Hillary Rodham.”

You youngsters might not realize how big a deal it was for us oldsters to support women who didn’t subsume their names and identities to the men they married. Yet Hillary Rodham did that, for her husband Bill Clinton. And he kinda fucked up.

But she never did. Even the whole email server bullshit was because our government’s IT infrastructure is screwed up beyond belief — and yes, it’s not reasonable to expect non-tech savvy people to juggle multiple devices. On top of this, the GOPers taught Clinton it was a bad idea to have shit ones’ political foes could subpoena at will. Yet at no point did sensitive or confidential information find its way into enemies’ hands.

Trump, on the other (tiny) hand, has been coordinating directly with the Russian government’s hackers and trolls.

However, I think back again to the woman with the brown hair, huge eyeglasses, and questionable fashion sense. America’s own Hermione Granger, and realize she’ll always have been a better choice than any of the men who’ve run for President since Al Gore or John Kerry…and maybe even better than them.

There was a time, back when I supported Bernie Sanders for President, when I said, “Yes, we need a female President, but not this one.” I’ve changed my mind. There is no one better for the job right now, no woman better for the job right now…and that right there is the key point. There really is no one better qualified right now to be America’s next President, and it’s actually incidental that she’s a a woman.

Yet it’s also important and essential, especially given the GOP’s chosen and nominated opponent, who seems to be the literal opposite of everything President Rodham will be.

Vote on Tuesday, if you haven’t already. Vote like America itself depends on your ballot, because it does.

    • Cackalaquiano

“There really is no one better qualified right now to be America’s next President, and it’s actually incidental that she’s a woman.”
      Absolutely. Hear, hear!

I saw this on Chris Hayes Twitter and just howled. Seems to me with all the bombastic crap doom and gloom from the Trump hacks coming today that Alex Jones is like “Alex” in ‘Fatal Attraction’: “I won’t be IGNORED!…..”

HOW nice. I love “imagine”. No religion indeed! I just spent two days in Liverpool, it feels like he is still haunting the seedy town. And I like madonna. She did this pre fame at danceteria in my youth, came with breakdancers and the soon to be almost as famous Junior Vasquez.

But I have to say, Billboard, surprise of a lifetime???? Please. Our celebrity worship is a bit embarrassing. The national media were reporting this two hours before it happened. Clinton runs a tight ship. No chance of letting this “surprise” be poorly attended.

“I can’t confirm it’s true. But apparently his campaign has taken away his
Twitter. In the last two days, they had so little confidence in his
self-control, they said, ‘We’re just going to take away his Twitter,’”
Obama said while campaigning for Hillary Clinton in Kissimmee, Fla.

Obama continued: “Now, if somebody can’t handle a Twitter account, they can’t handle the nuclear codes. If somebody starts tweeting at 3 in the
morning because ‘SNL’ made fun of you, then you can’t handle the nuclear
      codes.”

I almost feel sorry for him. Not.

I feel zero pity for this POS.

    • Michael R

Will he punish them by sinking their businesses .
( like he did to himself )

      • Joseph Miceli

No, I think Trump would rather send them someplace to think about what they’ve done. Someplace quiet and out of the way….like a camp, would be perfect!

    • Joseph Miceli

“Christie!….where is that fat sonofabitch!!! Christie! Put the fucking hot dog down and take notes.”
      “Daaaa….. sure, Mr. Trump, Sir!”
“Loser. Okay, these are all the people I’m going to punish after I’m President. Start with Priebus, Ryan and McConnel, then the media, all the Mexicans, Blacks, the fucking Jews, the fags, Rachel fucking Maddow and then I have something special saved for Megyn Kelley, queen bitch of all the fucking bitches.”
      “Daaaaaaa…..Gee boss, dat’s a lota peoples!”
“Just call me the Punisher! Where’s my death ray?”

Democratic insiders near-certain of Clinton win

‘The race tightened post-Comey letter, but has settled back into a small but significant Hillary lead,’ said a Colorado Democrat.
