Trump: Hillary Is A Terrible Example For My Son (Unlike Pussy-Grabbing And Perving On Underage Girls)

Because pussy-grabbing is a GOOD example. Talking Points Memo reports:

Donald Trump said Monday that Hillary Clinton’s purported advance knowledge of two debate questions during the Democratic primary race made her a “bad example” for his 10-year-old son and other children, subverting one of Clinton’s own most frequent attack lines against him.

“Hillary Clinton gets the questions to a debate, and then what happens is, the media, they don’t ever say ‘Why didn’t you turn it in? Why did you use those questions?’” Trump said at a rally in Warren, Michigan.

He was referring to an email stolen from Clinton campaign manager John Podesta and published by WikiLeaks that purports to show Donna Brazile, the interim chair of the Democratic National Committee who previously served as a CNN contributor, feeding a debate question to Clinton ahead of a March Democratic primary debate in Flint, Michigan. “I have a son named Barron, and let me tell you, she is a terrible example for my son, and for the children in this country,” Trump said.

This is just another simplistic retort that Trump likes to do like,

      “I’m not a puppet. You’re a puppet.”
      “I’m not corrupt. Hillary’s corrupt.”
“I know you are but what am i.”

    • Equal opportunity assault– I had been saving this one to share when a post was made about Trump’s groping and unsolicited kissing, since I knew it would only be a matter of time before another came up.

  • TrollopeReader

I kinda think most debate questions are well-known, anticipated, and expected [not word-for-word, but there are only some many types of questions that can be asked]— it’s why some (unlike Trump) prepare hours for them (just like major press conferences).

    • tenaciousmonkey

That’s along the lines of what I was telling a co-worker earlier. I said I bet either both campaigns got the questions ahead of time so they could have an idea of what would be asked (similar to how you’re normally given a study guide by a teacher before a test so you can prepare), but b/c they were “leaked” it’s a big deal for her, or it’s a case of you already have a basic idea of what’s going to be asked anyway. For Donna to have received the questions ahead of time, someone else within CNN would have had to give them to her, and would have been more likely to say something about it than wait for the emails (of course, unless you believe the Trump-land conspiracies where the media is rigged against him).

      • marshlc

I was listening to an interview with Donna Brazile about this, somewhere (on Maddow, maybe?), and have to say I wasn’t too impressed with her answer – she was very wiggly. It seemed like she was trying to say that she’s spent a lot of time around debates and so knows what type of questions are asked – but she didn’t come right out and say that. Instead she hedged and dodged and changed the subject.

So, if this really did happen the way the right is trying to spin it, it was pretty fucking stupid. And pretty fucking unnecessary, because as you say, Clinton’s team would have a fairly good idea of what was likely to be asked anyway.

Hey, Clinton team, and Democrats in general – don’t cheat. Don’t try to cheat, don’t think about cheating, just don’t. You’ve got the smart capable people on your team, you’re the winners, so don’t wreck it for some tiny advantage. You know the right is going to make a huge case out of any small slip you make, so don’t give in to the temptation to slip.

    • NancyP

Debate questions are pretty obvious. If one hasn’t come up with some general principles to use in answering questions by the time the debates roll around, it’s hopeless. A candidate needs to have staff that monitor world events and pick possible questions.

    • Yes, that is what debate surrogacy is all about, You get someone with a hard heart to ask the tough questions over and over, in different ways, practice, practice, practice. This is why Drumpf could not get through a debate.

  • Michael Smith

Trump’s campaign is sixty percent projection, twenty percent racism, ten percent sexism, and ten percent paranoia.

  • 2patricius2

Of course she is a terrible example to his son. She is showing his son that women can be smart and strong and good leaders – not just mindless sex objects as his father would have him believe.

    • Spudman

Trump is a grotesquerie, the epitome of the callous and narcissistic money-grubbing cheat and thief, but HILLARY sets a bad example?

    • Paula Key

How easily church signs declared homosexuality to be an abomination. Yet, adultery, cheating and lying are also abominations. I’ll just give you some quotes:

Leviticus 19:11 “ ‘Do not steal. “ ‘Do not lie. “ ‘Do not deceive one another.

Deuteronomy 24:15 Pay them their wages each day before sunset, because they are poor and are counting on it. Otherwise they may cry to the LORD against you, and you will be guilty of sin.

James 5:4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.

Trump stood with a Bible in his hands and stated he believed in every word.

  • Max_1

          • I originally posted a different picture, but this one gives a much better idea of the size of the bird. Google presented it without context, but I believe it is the same pair in both pictures. If so, they are Maigra and Jason from Healesville Zoo in Victoria. She is one of the stars of the Zoo’s “meet the species” programme, and her party trick is to buzz the audience.

A soaring wedgie is a thrilling sight; but I am old enough to remember seeing dead eagles tied, Matthew Shepard style, to fences so farmers could collect the bounty on their heads. (It was thought they preyed on sheep.) Happily those days are over: Aquila audax is now fully protected by law, no matter where you find it; if you kill or injure one you face a fine and a stiff jail sentence.

          • TampaDink

I am sure that the reason that I am amused by your mention of a “soaring wedgie” relates back to my childhood…when the friend of one of my sisters taught her the concept of a soaring wedgie….by lifting me off the ground as each of them grasped my underwear.
Having said that, I am glad to learn that Australia has protected those beautiful birds.

          • LOL!! The laws vary in detail from State to State, and though they vary in detail, the default position (if I may use that term) is that all native animal species — birds, marsupials, mammals and reptiles — enjoy legal protection unless specified otherwise, as the wedge-tailed eagle was for so long. Thankfully, despite widespread habitat destruction the wedgie population is believed to be increasing — except in Tasmania where the Tasmanian wedge-tail is a distinct subspecies (Aquila audax fleayi) and classed as endangered. Wikipedia has an article on the wedge-tail, and there is a nice one here: http://www.birdsinbackyards.net/species/Aquila-audax

The reason why I said the protection extends no matter where you find the bird is that I once told an American correspondent about how my up-country cousins’ resident lyre-bird had learned to perfectly imitate their cuckoo clock, and she responded with “Oh, do they live in a National Park?”
