Mike Huckabee Whines: Bed-Wetting Hand-Wringing Republicans Are Terrified That Trump Will Win [VIDEO]

Via Breitbart:

Monday on Fox News Channel’s “The Kelly File,” former Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-AR) weighed in some in the Republican Party’s reluctance to get behind party nominee Donald Trump’s presidential bid. The former Arkansas governor summed it up as those in his party being fearful of Trump threatening to “mess up the neat little package of fun.”

“Let me tell you something,” Huckabee said. “Here’s a little secret Megyn, a lot of these bed-wetting, hand wringing Republicans, they’re not afraid Donald Trump is going to lose. They’re scared to death he’s going to win. And if he wins he is going to mess up the neat little package of fun they have because they all play to the donor class and Donald Trump is coming to make big changes in the way that these institutions go.”

Good. This election is turning into a rout on the Presidential side.

Which means the Senate may well turn blue.

And the idea of the House changing blue isn’t some ridiculous fantasy

It’s funny to think though that the Huck men (and notice it’s only the men that are fat-asses) all bought the same vertical stripe ahirt thinking it would make a difference.

Karma works in mysterious ways. This season the Republicans are being exposed for what they’ve always been. Nature always rights the wrong and lopsided imbalances of life.

“they have because they all play to the donor class and Donald Trump is
coming to make big changes in the way that these institutions go.”

Donald Trump IS the donor class. Instead of the wealthy buying politicians, they’ve got one of their own running. Trump has bragged about the biggest tax cuts ever, more than Reagan. Drastically reduce the money the government has to run, but he’s going to wipe out our deficit, rebuild roads, bridges, schools, inner cities and a wall on our Southern border. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/50ad6c31adbba3a5d314f3d1f69c250e3319a612ae7158e149c2cd19b35db4e2.gif

OTOH, the voting booth is allegedly a private place and, also allegedly, no one knows for whom you vote. I keep thinking that maybe the Huckster will vote for Drumpf, but the missus will vote for Hillary. I find solace in the thought that a lot of the faithful…not the hardcore, but the newly converted…Drumpfsters will have that moment of clarity when they see the top of the ballot.

Well, at least Huckleberry’s not bitter or anything.

  • Barry William Teske

    Heard it.

  • Larry in Oklahoma

OK, bed wetting (incontinence is the socially acceptable terminology) is not something to be proud of but it’s not something to shame people over. I know he’s using it as a demeaning way of getting his point across, which is that they are little kids with bladder issues. It’s like him calling a group of people the “N” word or whatever. He lost his power in his statement in that way.

    • RoFaWh

It may say bed wetting, but the idiom as he used it refers to pissing in fear. IOW, he’s saying “they’re so fearful of
Trump winning that they’re pissing themselves.”

  • TrollopeReader

    Mike … what did you poll ? one-half of one-half a percent?

  • Johnny Wyeknot

Hey Mike, the entire world and every living species on it are terrified of a Trump win.

  • The Milkman

You know, let’s just for a moment think about Gingrich’s comment. What if Republicans really were afraid that Trump would win? I imagine he’s right in that they “play to the donor class”, meaning that their attention is focused more on the rich than the poor. That’s kind of what being an “establishment Republican” has meant for decades, isn’t it? So my question is, and it’s an actual question, what evidence does anyone have that Trump will care one whit about the poor? (And by poor, I clearly mean poor or lower/working class whites.) What experience does he have, or what plans is he proposing, that would benefit them?

My husband’s family is from Richland county in Ohio. It’s a former manufacturing region that continues to decline into crime, drug addiction, misery, and hopelessness. The people there who used to take pride in factory work are now without any hope of improving their lives or the lives of their children. You can buy a house there for $30K, people are so desperate to flee. (That is, if they are financially or otherwise able to flee.) What exactly does Trump offer them? I’ll tell you what he offers them. He offers them anger. He offers them scapegoats. And he offers them a chance to be heard, en masse, in the public sphere. He’ll exploit them and then ignore them, just like all the other politicians do, they just don’t know it yet. They’re whipped up into a frenzy of anger and tears and misery at their lost livelihoods and sense of worth, and I for one am concerned about what will happen to that energy once the election is over. No, I’m not a Trump supporter. But we can’t continue to ignore what’s happening in these dying communities.

I don’t know what the answer is. I don’t think anyone seriously thinks that those manufacturing jobs will ever return. But what are the options instead? Do we just abandon them? Won’t that create even more resentment? What if we really invested in those communities in terms of education and retraining and infrastructure? How would we do that, and not have it be just a huge money pit with no substantive outcome? In this time of identity politics, what happens to the people who are called “white trash”? Do they count? Do we care?

  • Robert Conner

Well, Huckers is not entirely full of BS. Donors and voters are backing away from the GOP thanks to Donald Trump. Carefully coded racism and sexism is the mainline GOP’s bread and butter. It’s kept them in power with “I’m not a racist/sexist but…” voters since Reagan. The mainline GOP dislikes Trump because he’s openly sexist and racist, loud and crass, and attracts is quite frankly tacky.
