FLORIDA: Hillary +3 In New Poll

The Hill reports:

Hillary Clinton has a three-point lead over Donald Trump in Florida, according to a new poll released Thursday. Clinton has 41 percent support among likely voters with Trump at 38 percent, according to the poll by the Public Opinion Research Laboratory at the University of North Florida.

Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson has six percent and Green Party nominee Jill Stein is backed by three percent. In a head-to-head matchup, Clinton’s lead over Trump widens to seven points, 47 to 40 percent. The result suggests third-party candidates are drawing more support away from the Democratic ticket than the GOP.

This is also interesting:

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is the overwhelming favorite of Florida’s voters of Puerto Rican descent, who say they’ll be turning out to vote this year, according to a first of its kind poll.

About three quarters of those polled said they would vote for Clinton compared to 17 percent for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. The poll also found strong turnout is likely among the Sunshine State’s Puerto Ricans, whose numbers have swelled to more than 1 million.

Eighty-four percent said they will definitely vote and 14 percent said they will likely vote or are uncertain whether they’d vote. Only 2 percent said they wouldn’t vote. Not only do Puerto Ricans’ numbers in Florida rival New York’s Puerto Rican population, but they’ve also signaled a potential shift in Puerto Rican political influence within the state, which is considered a crucial battleground state.
