Roy Moore Has The Shitcanned Sadz

“This was a politically motivated effort by radical homosexual and transgender groups to remove me as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court because of outspoken opposition to their immoral agenda. This opinion violates not only the legal standards of evidence but also the rule of law which states that no judge can be removed from office except by unanimous vote.” – Shitcanned Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, via press release.

More from the Auburn Plainsman:

Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore’s judicial career is effectively over. In a ruling released Friday afternoon, the Alabama Court of the Judiciary suspended Moore without pay for the remainder of his term, which ends in 2019.

Moore wasn’t removed from his position, so he won’t lose his title, but he won’t be able to participate on the state’s Supreme Court for the rest of his term. The embattled chief justice will also owe the state for the cost of the trial.

Moore was found guilty of violating the first, second and third canons of the Alabama Canons of Judicial Ethics. Attorneys for the Judicial Inquiry Commission, the acting prosecutors in the case, said Moore urged the state’s 68 probate judges to ignore federal law.

  • Frostbite

What he’s most sad about is it’s much harder to claim martyr status when you’ve only been suspended and not actually disbarred, which is what he deserves.

    • Other Michael

I’ve been wondering if they had the votes to remove him and decided to suspend him instead to thwart his politicizing of the issue. I do love a good thwarting.

    • Friday

It’s also much harder to run for Governor when you’re still in the judiciary. 🙂

    • Reality.Bites

Disbarred was never on the plate.

      • Frostbite

Maybe not, but it is no less than what he deserves.

    • exactly!!!!!! he does not get to be active on the bench but he also does not get to claim full victim-hood status. it is the worst of both worlds for him so he must be super pissed.

One of his porn videos is the single best porn I’ve ever seen, so good that before long it will be shown to students of movies as an example of excellent cinematography. Look for a title along the lines of “Flip flop fist” on Xtube.

One of the attractive features of that porn flick? The principals smile with genuine pleasure in each other.

Alabama judges earn the following annual salaries on average:

Supreme Court chief justice: $196,183, about $48,000 more than the national average.

I’m delighted we wield so much power and influence in… Ala-fucking-BAMA?? Jesus, who knew?

Dear not-so-much Chief Justice Moore: Merry Christmas. I was originally going to say something else, but this works.

“This was a politically motivated effort by radical homosexual and transgender groups to remove me as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court…”

I can live with that. I’m radical enough to believe that Roy Moore should be disbarred as well.

    • Carl

Of coarse it’s politically motivated. The people he steps on are allowed to have political convictions too. What an ass.

    • Reality.Bites

Yeah, it was. It was also SUPPORTED BY THE EVIDENCE which is why your colleagues, Republicans all (I bet), shitcanned you.

Twice. Take a fucking hint, Roy.

  • kareemachan

He said sodomy would never constitute the consummation of a marriage. So… does that mean that lesbians could be married in his book? Or does it mean that his fantasies are all about guys…

    • McSwagg

      CONSUMMATION OF MARRIAGE

The first time that the husband and wife co-habit together, i.e. engage
in intercourse, after the ceremony of marriage has been performed, is
      thus called.

The marriage, when otherwise legal, is complete without this; for it is a
maxim of law, borrowed from the civil, law, that consensus, non
      concubitus, facit nuptias.
(of consensus and not sexual intercourse, it makes the wedding) [Italics and Google Translation added.]

  • Bj Lincoln

It WAS by unanimous vote to suspend you moron! Did he read the ruling?! How much you want to bet he shows up for work Monday morning? I’m pretty sure the higher court will not even look at his appeal. Looks like he will be looking for a real job before he can start running for Governor.

    • McSwagg

He can show up and sit in his office, but the lights won’t work, the phone and internet will be disconnected, and there will be no secretary. I suppose he can look out the window at the view.

  • JaniceInToronto

    Somehow he seems, chagrined….

    Imagine that.

    • BudClark

‘Cause it’s gonna cost him some MONEY!

  • Carl

He should never have been a judge in the first place. What a mistake.

  • Jay George

Kayla Moore, his not so charming wife, has the sadz on Facebook too.

“The ruling today is nothing more than persecution of a Christian official. There were professionals in that courtroom-doctors, lawyers, judges who all agreed that Chief Justice Moore was completely correct. This is not like the last time-there were witnesses giving testimony of the truth as they understood. We also have social media that put it out as well as other media outlets that agreed with Justice Moore! Ruled completely against him… Suspended without pay for the remainder and making him pay all expenses of trial!
    This has never happened before.
This small group of unelected people, mostly democrats, have overturned an election of the people of Alabama.
All being led by a guy who dresses up like a woman and prances around on the stage. The good people of Alabama have had their votes taken away from them once again.”

Wait – those are nine signatures. That means it was unanimous. So what is Matt Staver complaining about now?

      • Jay George

There are people on Kayla Moore’s page demanding to know the names of the JIC like they’re going to do anything about it. In my head I can hear Foghorn Leghorn with his feathers ruffled. “Who, I say, who has made this heinous proclamation?” Here’s a pro-tip. If you weren’t a dumbass you could click on the link and read it instead of just posting and posturing on Facebook. God, I hate these stupid people.

      • TrollopeReader

the suspension was unanimous … (it only needed to be 6 – 3) …actual removal requires 9 unanimous votes …

  • Mike in Texas

There’s nobody to blame but yourself, Roy. LGBTs aren’t the ones who refused to follow the law.

    • Jay George

Wonder how those radical homosexual and transgender groups came to have so much power in the reddest of the red states? It is a mystery.

Good. So now his bigoted dickhead followers can’t just vote him back in. He’s suspended without pay till 2019.

      • Joseph Miceli

You miss the point. If they had fired him outright he would have been eligible for election. By suspending him without pay until 2019 they’ve not only prevented that but neutered him for 3 years. His political career is dead.

    “radical homosexual and transgender groups.”

Roy, I’m so radical I live in the suburbs of Boston (an immoral town) with my husband of 40 years. We have a ranch home and a pet parrot. We love to garden. Our neighbors are friendly.

This ass has been dragging his religious beliefs into the courtroom for, what, 20 years? FINALLY he gets called on it, and it’s the homos”fault? • Brianna Amoré

Isn’t this the moron that got suspended for installing a Ten Commandments statue in front of the state house?

      • greenmanTN

        Yup.

  • Randy503

So he is saying that his fellow justices are part of the radial homosexual agenda? I think they will happily go to bed tonight knowing that this nutcase is finally off the bench.

    • david fairfield

They will. He didn’t win popularity contests with them, and they were growing weary of his grandstanding shenanigans…

    • m_lp_ql_m

I don’t need the practice either, but it is a good excuse.

    • Gianni

Not according to the ruling. He is suspended with pay for the remainder of his elected term, which I believe is at least 2 or 3 more years.

      • D. J.

I read he was suspended WITHOUT pay…

        • Gianni

Your right. I misread the article. I stand corrected. Thanks.

  • Fan-fucking-tastic.

And yes, Moore didn’t just ‘urge’ the state’s probate judges to ignore the SCOTUS ruling and all the precedents set by federal law and other judicial rulings, he flat out ordered them to disobey, using his authority as both Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice and as chief administrator of the courts. Moreover, he wanted to pretend for as long as he could that there was some kind of legal ambiguity or loophole which would allow Alabama (or any other state) to defy the U.S. Constitution and the federal government at will.

The only downside here is there’s no impeachment, and so he will be free to run for governor…which has been rumored to be likely.

  • westford

i took the time to post to JRM’s wife Karla’s Facebook page – full of religious claptrap from supporters. I did not call him an SOB, which he is, but pointed out that it was ALABAMA”S OWN judicial review panel that did him in.

She would like to believe it was non-Christians and other outsiders. They are – understandably considering their petrified state of mind – in shock.

    • Jay George

Because Alabama is a bastion of the liberal left and we frequently persecute the religious right for fun. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/399d04ec1608017ffecabcb2d8e9747e988ec2b112b9b19321ed6793892b2664.jpg

    • Brianna Amoré

They’re in shock because they’ve been brainwashed into believing that this nation operates under Biblical rules.

Oops! I guess the Constitution trumps the Bible after all.

      • Gianni

It’s interesting that after repeated losses in court case after court case, these Bible-dedicated kooks can’t seem to grasp the reality that their religious convictions do not in any way bestow immunity from punishment on them when they break the law. Normal thinking people would quite likely have seen the “cause and effect” qualities in all those lost cases and learned from them.

This opinion violates not only the legal standards of evidence but also the rule of law which states that no judge can be removed from office except by unanimous vote.

That over there is all you need to read. 1. “Legal standards of evidence” Like when you admitted in court that the order you issued was for the exact same order that a federal judge had told you not to touch? I mean, what more evidence you want, you admitted it to the record. 2. Yes, a judge can not be removed except with a unanimous vote, if there isn’t one, the vote can be for a suspension. There were not enough votes for a removal but there enough votes for a suspension.

Enough with this entitled asshole. You do not get to make law against people you do not like unilaterally, so go sit on a 12-inch-wide dildo for the rest of your term.

    • Gianni

That’s an easily missed point. His claim of “cannot be removed except by….” is moot. He hasn’t been removed.

  • Raybob

No, asswipe, my state’s judicial ethics committee, Alabama Court of the Judiciary — mandated by our state constitution, butthole — suspended you. UNANIMOUSLY with all nine members voting against you. For violating not one, not two, but THREE canons of our judiciary ethical code:

Canon 1, in that he failed to uphold the integrity and independence of the judiciary.
Canon 2, in that he failed to avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety in all his activities.
Canon 2A, in that he failed to respect and comply with the law and failed to conduct himself at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary.
Canon 2B, in that he failed to avoid conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice that brings the judicial office into disrepute.
Canon 3, in that he failed to perform the duties of his office impartially.
Canon 3A(6), in that he failed to abstain from public comment about a pending proceeding in his own court.

They didn’t remove you. Haha, which is worse for you. Because, in this case, there will be no appointment in your absence, haha, because they only suspended you. The court will limp along with only 8 justices now until the next election cycle. Because of you, dumbass. And you can’t be elected to be supreme court justice again, ever. Haha. Go rot.

  • margaretpoa

Wow! I have an identical copy of the Constitution as Moore does. Right there on pages 15 and 16 is the full text of Article VI which reads:

All Debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

One would think that the erudite founder of a group dedicated to upholding the framers’ intent when writing the constitution would know about Article VI but no, I guess not…

    A blast form the past:

The Ballad of Chief Justice Roy Moore
(sung to the tune of “The Ballad of Jed Clampett” and with apologies to Flatt and Scruggs)

    Brannon P. Denning

Come ‘n listen to my story ‘bout a judge named Moore
Had a rock so big could barely fit it through th’ door
Had it installed in the middle of the night
Swore he’d never move it, not without a fight
Rock that is! Ten Commandments! Word of God!

Well the first thing you know there’s trouble in the air
Federal courts say, “Roy, move it out of there!” Said
“Yonder in your office is the place it ought to be!”
That brought out all the faithful down to Montgomery
Alan Keyes that is! Jerry Falwell! Operation Rescue!

Judge Roy Moore said his rock was stayin’ put
Said Judge Thompson could come and kiss his foot
Then Roy’s eight colleagues hollered “Not so very fast!” and
Signed their own court order to save the state some cash
Fines that is! Injunctive relief! Contempt of court!

Well now it’s time to say goodbye to Moore’s big work of art
But you’d better be believin’ this’ll only be a start
You’re all invited back real soon down to Montgomery
To have a heapin’ helping of his demagoguery
2006 Y’all! Moore for Governor! Send contributions!

    He’ll be back y’all, hear!

  • Deanobear

My heart is pumping pus for him 😈

  • leastyebejudged

A little stunned he got to keep his position, but I suppose it IS Alabama.

This may be the best outcome. If he’d been fired, he could run for governor on the Rethug Martyr ticket, but this way his hands are tied. He can’t pass judgment, and he can’t run. Looks like losing his job was what he wanted all along, so I’m kinda glad that didn’t happen.
