Conway: It’s A Shame That People Will Have To Watch The Debates To Find Out Hillary’s Policies [VIDEO]

Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway appeared on MSNBC this morning to make this astoundingly stupid statement: “I think people want to know what Hillary Clinton thinks about the issues literally have to tune into those debates to watch it. That’s a shame that people have to wait until September 26, here in New York, to listen to what Hillary Clinton believes, unless you want to go to the website and click, what she believes on different policies.” Because Hillary never talks about the issues.

I know I’ve said this before:

Kellyanne Conway is like the annoying happy talking cable company customer service representative. She has no idea when your cable will be back on, but she tries to up-sell you a premium station that won’t work now either.

    • JoeNCA

That’s why Trump only talks about them, so he can change them depending on who he talks to.

    • MT YVR

His platform should be called the Kumastupid. “I’ve got 300 positions for that and you’ll be fucked at the end of each.”

    • Christopher

Numerous? Hell, he’s taken EVERY position.

  • Giant Monster Gamera

I’m glad I don’t watch TV anymore, because if I did I’d put a brick through it.

    • another_steve

Listening to the Trump surrogates on cable TV (cable TV likes them because the surrogates are always throwing out red meat to the audience) has become intolerable.

At least Conway is literate. Half of the other Trump surrogates can’t put a proper English sentence together.

      • Ernest Endevor

The hubby insists on watching Hardball. I don’t even care if Steve Kornaki is the host, the shrieking makes me crazy.

        • another_steve

The only MSNBC anchor I can stand these days is Lawrence O’Donnell. The rest of them all get on my nerves. They need to stop pumping caffeine into boyfriend Kornaki, otherwise he might blow a gasket.

Rachel Maddow’s “repeat for viewers the same thought five times in one minute” shtick has run its course for me.

Let her live and be well, but I can’t take it anymore.

          • Ernest Endevor

She’s great when she anchors important events, but I hate it when she’s being ‘entertaining’. And as noted on another thread, I need to Put Steve K over my knee and give him a good spanking.

          • another_steve

He’s cute in a nebbish kind of way. I’d spank him too.

Lots of web articles out there about his background and his being queer. Google, if you’re interested.

          • Ernest Endevor

The word you’re looking for is ‘adorkable’.

          • Christopher

Rachel Maddow’s “repeat for viewers the same thought five times in one minute”

I love Rachel, but this annoys me as well. “FFS we heard you the first time!”

          • another_steve

Not sure why the producers haven’t put the kibosh on that.

I understand Maddow’s slot consistently gets the highest ratings on MSNBC, so I guess they don’t want to interfere with something that’s apparently working.

  • PickyPecker

Hillary has talked bout her policies everyday since she announced she was running for the office. Ms. KellyAnne needs to have many seats.

    • m_lp_ql_m

No, no, we want her to really talk on the issues. Y’know, something like, “I have big plans for that,” or “I have the best people working on that.” Y’know, something definite and pro-active.

      • IamM

Like so: We’ll look into that, we’re going to look into that. That, ya know, that’s something we’ll be looking into. Definitely.

      • popebuck1

Fortunately, the Trump surrogates are there to fill in all those gaps in the record.

    • Dee

I think Ms KellyAnne just want to keep saying and say it often enough so that people watching will get the idea yea Hillary has not talked about her policies. There is a saying “If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes true”. I think that’s the angle she is pursuing. Just like Trump.

You can’t find out what Trump’s policies are by listening to him– because he’ll change them in front of his next audience.

I thought getting information on the web was all 21st Century, and stuff.

    • karmanot

Trumpkin’s positions, such as they are, are all Barnum Speak, but the best experts say they are tremendous policies, the very best polices. His Blacks and Latinos just love them because they are so tremendous and the very best.

    • JCF

…or he’ll change him by means of his next audience! “Clap for #1. Clap for #2”

  • Snarkaholic

It’s a shame that Con-man here is too stupid to find Hillary’s website…where her policies/positions are listed.

    • Rex

      The internetz is hard.

      • Ernest Endevor

And everyone seems to be asking questions about the well-known alleged Trump?NAMBLA connection. Why can’t Kellyanne answer the questions everyone is asking? Sad.

        • Uncle Mark

She would probably just say that “Trump loves ALL American children.” “Clearly, his passionate love for America’s future generation is being misinterpreted by the bigoted left that ignores & aborts children.” (Damn…I’m scaring myself. This is getting too easy…just like Ms Conway. I could do her job, if I was a soulless husk, too.)

      • Uncle Mark

That’s why Trump just tweets. Plus a standard keyboard is too big for his tiny tiny hands.

    • lymis

It doesn’t count if it’s not on Twitter.

It’s a shame people have to vote to elect a president.

  • And the trumpeteers will take that BS as gospel.

    So will the media.

  • bkmn

    Dear Kellyanne,

  • The_Wretched

Semi OT – she also says that women wouldn’t be raped if they were as strong as men. I guess she’s never had a pudding from Cosby or heard about coercion or men being raped.

    • cleos_mom

Nor the irrelevancy of strong muscles when you’re at the business end of a gun.

Well to be fair, she represents Trump, all she has are lies and conspiracy to work with.

      • FAEN

        Bless you Janice.

  • Kevin Perez

I know that for myself, I will not know what a candidate’s policies are until they are asked about each issue that I care about in a press-conference format!
But seriously, what audience is that directed at? Does team Trump think that they are winning by Trumping up Pressergate? Does anyone (other than those who would never vote for Hillary) care at all?
    It’s Hillary Derangement Syndrome.

  • RaygunsGoZap

    πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”
So the day after the media reports that your candidate refuses to do any debate prep you squirm out to essentially ask the opponent to re-state her policy positions. And maybe throw you some insight into her debate strategy in doing so? That’s a fairly transparent stratagem.

  • Blake J Butler

She has talked about what she wants to accomplish, in the primary and the general election, with SOMETHING to give to people to look at, in comparison to her boss who can’t give any plans simply because he can’t think of anything realistic and constitutional, people write things for him because he isn’t smart enough to actually have a debate on policy in comparison to Hillary Clinton.

Its like the kid that does their homework and their research, and then you have the kid that says he’ll do the work, and then come time for the due date he still has nothing to show for it. Thats the comparison between Hillary and Trump both polarized candidates which are very different from each other.

  • Joseph Miceli

Wow, living in an alternate reality, the commute must be horrible!

          Or manage a coherent sentence

          • Paula

It is probably derp, derp. Maybe they talk about sex just to piss Michelle off. She ain’t getting it from the Queen.

      • Joseph Miceli

Jesus Christ! Can you imagine any of them behind the wheel of a car?

  • Joe in PA

As opposed to getting your candidate’s policies via Twitter.

Everybody thinks this KellyAnne is brilliant. She’s little bitch. Hell, even if we watched 20 debates we could never figure out Donald Trump’s policies.

      • kanehau

Ya, that one left me gobsmacked.

      • Uncle Mark

This makes me wonder why the media hasn’t done more to investigate Dr Feel-Good. What kind of medical report does not include the basics, such as weight, cholesterol, or blood pressure? (Since it sounds like something Trump wrote, it makes me wonder if the doctor was trying to be sarcastic, as Trump would not actually submit a real/honest medical report to the public. I would be more likely to believe that Trump wrote it, himself, except for the fact that the doctor claims to have typed it out in 5 minutes.) It makes me think that the reason he was allegedly Trump’s physician for 35 years is because he is one of those doctors who will prescribe anything the patient is willing to pay extra for. It would certainly explain a lot for Trump’s bizarre behavior.

        • cleos_mom

Rich men who aren’t used to anyone saying ‘no’ to them have been known to ‘buy’ doctors who do what they’re told. Elvis comes to mind as an example.

How in the heck did he not follow up on that statement? I mean at least try and look like a journalist and not an ad man for crying out loud!

  • JustSayin’

The worst thing about this woman, for me, is that she has repeatedly said she does not believe in bullying, and other things, because she is the mother of four kids. Apparently teaching them to tell lies is a trait she okay with.

    • Uncle Mark

I just hope that Trump is paying her enough, so she can move her sad, desperate, lying ass and her genetically defective brood out of the trailer park.

  • JaniceInToronto

Does Trump grow his “helpers” in vats at some underground facility?
I’ve heard that NAMBLA has such facilities where they grow pedophiles. A place like that would be the obvious choice for Trump. Some of his ‘helpers’ seem to have a layer of slime left on their skin from the vats. I saw some closeups of their skin on the internet that were totally not faked and you can see their skin is like plastic. Pre-wrinkled plastic…

    • Galvestonian

… because they are aliens from the planet Kolob

    • Ernest Endevor

OMG! If you saw that on the internets it must be true! People are asking if NAMBLA is producing his TV ads. Many people are asking the question.

I’m kind of worried that he’ll do as he did in the GOP debates and try to not let anyone get a word in edgewise. But I’m sure Hillary is prepared for that. I would jizz my pants if she said, “Would you SHUT THE FUCK UP and let me talk?!”

    • Snarky

I’m worried he’s going to spend so much time spewing utter bullshit that she will have to spend time on the defensive, refuting what he said, rather than speaking to her own qualifications and policies. That’s one of the things he did during the GOP debates – he made it all about him.

The tone is like those teevee infomercials with bad actors exaggerating problems with the normal way of doing stuff…

  • Dreaming Vertebrate

It’s a shame that people have to wait seemingly forever to see Trump’s tax returns detailing all his ties to Russian oligarchs and his many generous charitable donations to NAMBLA. Sad!

  • 2patricius2

Funny that Kellyanne would say that. I have been hearing Clinton’s policies all through her campaign and her debates with Sanders. Funny that Kellyanne didn’t just google HillaryClinton.com and click on the issues link for a whole itemization of her policies.

But here we are hearing that Donald Trump will give an immigration policy speech to clarify his contradictory statements about his policy. What are his policies? Which side of his mouth or his brain will we hear from on any given day?

    • Friday

It sounded like, “Waaah, I would have to read to find something out after not paying attention to all the policy talk before now. LIterally I’d have to expend effort if I didn’t listen before.'” πŸ™‚

  • Stubenville

And the Shrieking Cheeto’s policies? Does he even <i<have complete policiy proposals, or is it just a collection of platitudes about “making America Great again” with no details?

My partner died on the same day. So this is equally as painful for me to remember. but the good memories of 17 years always outweigh the pain of loss (mostly.)

It’s been two year for me MB. We were together over 20 years and married three weeks before he died.I am still wandering thru the present, lost of the past and without the future.

I’m sorry, but all I can say about churches in a positive note is that they generally housed pipe organs.

Conway in April : ‘Trump’s tax returns should be transparent’

Conway now ‘Trump’s tax returns are none of your business’

She cons her way through each interview.

Well, one definition of transparent is “nobody can see it.”

    • TrollopeReader

and will *anyone* ask her about that?

If they keep bringing up the press conference thing, someone’s going to mention that Trump’s banning reporters from simply rallies, doesn’t take many questions at his conferences, and his selective call-in interviews don’t count.

    • lymis

Not to mention the fact that, whenever he does speak the the press, he never actually answers the questions they actually ask, especially if he doesn’t like them. On the rare occasions that he does, it’s usually completely different from the answer he gave to a similar question within 24-48 hours.

    • Bruno

And he’s only appearing on Faux these days. One call-in interview to CNBC awhile back and I’m not sure if he’s done any more outside of Faux.

  • ClarkJoe

Well, if you’ve been in a coma for the past 30 years, don’t know how to use the Internet, and just bought your first TV, I suppose this statement could kind of sort of maybe be somewhat near the truth. So there’s that.

Ridiculous. And the GOP seems to ignore instances where Hillary’s policies as Secretary of State did cause real damage, e.g., the 2009 coup and subsequent violence in Honduras.

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/aug/31/hillary-clinton-honduras-violence-manuel-zelaya-berta-caceres

Of course, “Tegucigalpa” is a lot harder to pronounce than Benghazi, and easier for the GOP and Fox to spell, as well. It’s a poignant irony lost on the GOP, that she and Obama engaged in a form of gunboat diplomacy, but it’s yet another nuance that’s way over their little blond and orange heads.

The released emails provide a fascinating behind-the-scenes view of how Clinton pursued a contradictory policy of appearing to back the restoration of democracy in Honduras while actually undermining efforts to get Zelaya back into power.

…looks like Trump will continue to be represented by individuals much like himself. The whole herd of them would be unable to recognize the truth if it reached out and slapped them in the face. They are comfortable slinging innuendo, spreading unfounded rumors and initiating lies so obviously false that it implies a total disregard for any value of the concept of honesty.

I agree Hillary is not totally honest. However her statements are typically rated by nonpartisan fact checkers as true 13.9 %, mostly true 38.97%, half true 20.58%, mostly false 12.5%, False 12.5 % and pants on fire 1.47%. Trump’s statements on the other hand are rated as true 4.21%, mostly true 10.52 %, half true 14.73%, mostly false 16.31 %, false 37.36 % and pants on fire 16.84%. In sum 54.2% of the statements Trumps was fact checked on are totally false compared to 13.97 for Hillary… and he has the audacity to call her Lying Hillary. I know this won’t resonate with too many people here, but when I – a Brit – was working in the New York publishing industry back in the 1980s, I was warned about people like this.

Even though coke and heroin were widespread, there was a certain class of men and women in the industry who got their kicks from amphetamines – or slimming pills, as they were called back then.

There;s not a single instance when I’ve seen her public appearances when I haven’t thought: “Better Living Through Chemistry”.

I’m probably entirely wrong, but I’ve never looked at this woman’s appearance and spech and wondered if her biology is the war ground between Botox and amphetamines.

God alone knows what the chemistry in her brain is doing.
