Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick Confronts Obama Over Race Relations: The Police Don’t Trust You [VIDEO]

The Dallas Morning News reports:

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick wants President Barack Obama to choose his words more carefully when it comes to police and racial matters.

During a televised town hall Thursday, Patrick implored Obama to more strongly condemn those who call for the deaths of officers. He also urged the president to grant a national law enforcement group’s request to illuminate the White House with blue lights in solidarity.

The White House has declined that request, and Obama insisted he’s condemned anti-police rhetoric plenty already.

“I’m concerned that police officers across the country — they know you support law enforcement of course, but do they really in their heart feel like you’re doing everything you can to protect their lives?” Patrick asked Obama.

As you’ll see below, the president wasn’t having it. Last week Patrick declared that protesters are “hypocrites” for running away when the gunfire broke out in Dallas.
