FLORIDA: Finalist From NBC’s The Voice Christina Grimmie Murdered After Orlando Concert [VIDEO]

Orlando’s NBC affiliate reports:

“The Voice” singer Christina Grimmie was shot and killed during an autograph signing after her concert in Orlando on Friday night. Grimmie was performing with the band “Before You Exit” at The Plaza Live on Bumby Avenue.

According to Orlando police, the concert ended at 10 p.m., and Grimmie, along with band members, stayed to sign autographs for fans and sell merchandise.

At some point during the interaction with fans, the suspect, whom police have not yet identified, walked toward Grimmie with two guns and shot her. Police said Grimmie’s brother immediately tackled the suspect, and during the subsequent struggle, the suspect shot himself.

Police said officers arrived to find the male suspect dead and Grimmie gravely injured. Grimmie was taken in critical condition to a hospital, where she later died.
