HiFi Sean Ft. Fred Schneider – Truck [VIDEO]

New from British DJ/producer Sean Dickson, former frontman for the Soup Dragons. Deejay.de recaps:

Truck is a buzzing analogue Moog droning bass riff over disco-tic handclap beats with CB radio vocals by the one and only frontman of the B-52’s Fred. Think homage to movies like Convoy and Smokey & the Bandit turned into pulsing dubbed up soundtrack to hitting the road and hitting the caffeine.

Actually the video gives me a vintage porn vibe.

Joe Gage was my first thought as well.

  • Ernest Endevor

Like a day trip to Brighton.

  • Kevin Perez

Fred Schneider and the B-52s made-up me gay!!
    Thanks Fred 🙂

    • Lazycrockett

The B’s are the gayest band the world has ever seen. Thank god.

      • Kevin Perez

There doesn’t have to be a single gayest. Dead or Alive seems at least as gay.

        • Lazycrockett

Well I’m just saying you have Fred, Keith, Kate, Ricky (rip) that are all family. That’s pretty gay! 😉

          • Kevin Perez

It’s not a contest. Everybody can equally be the gayest if they want to and that’s okay. Except maybe for the Cat Scratch Fever guy, he’s just unattractive.

Thanks for posting that. LOVE the Venture Bros.!

  • Lazycrockett

I have to say that I’m impressed that Fred’s vocal styling has managed to have a 30 some year career.

  • Michael Rush

Seeing the B-52’s in 1979 was the best concert I ever saw

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VN8hV4AyNss

    • TuuxKabin

Every concert of their’s was the best! We danced that mess around!

      • Lazycrockett

I’ve seen them 3 times, one time they were awesome, one time Keith was mourning the loss of his father and just kept to himself understandable and another time Cindy was sick with food poisoning so Kate did most of the heavy lifting.

        • TuuxKabin

I don’t remember how often I/we saw them. Every chance we got when in the NYC area. Radio City’s concert was probably one of the better ones. Kate’s certainly capable of doing the heavy lifting. They had their share of loss and grief. I never knew about Keith’s father’s death. All through the years they never let an audience, we were in, down.

  • DrRobY

Can someone say Kansas City Trucking Company?

    • KCMC

      from KC, Yes. Sir. Please.

    • another_steve

      Great porn flick.

Problem with that genre/era of porn was that they hadn’t quite mastered set lighting yet, so half of it is so “shadowy” that it’s difficult to discern what the hell is going on.

      • perversatile

        Porn Noir.

    • SilasMarner

That’s what this video reminded me of. Hot porn. There was another one of that ilk/era about a construction crew?

      • William

        El Paso Wrecking Company?

        • SilasMarner

Yes! and the LA Tool and Die. Hot hot porn.

    • Acronym Jim

Maybe the person who produced this video could also do a gay porn version of “BJ and the Bear.”

      • Sean Dickson

I produced it ….casting couch is ready

    • DrRobY

Wearing one of my favorite T’s

    • rusty57

Oopsie! Should have scrolled down, I thought the exact same thing.

    • Robincho

It’s not difficult to “gage” your opinion here…

  • Giant Monster Gamera

Back when I was a kid everybody I knew wanted to be a trucker. Smokey and the Bandit, Convoy, Breaker Breaker, BJ and the Bear… that was the life.

  • mjcc1987

What a shame, I can’t find it on Google Play

    • Sean Dickson

    • Sean Dickson

Yep I been through the ‘journey’ but sadly unlike Caitlyn I did not have a film crew and stylist with me during it all

  • DumbHairyApe

Was that Fred also with the beard???

    (He should keep it!)

    • TuuxKabin

Don’t think so. Fuller lips, different nose. Hot guy. Fred too. I’ve always fantasized ‘dancing this mess around, ’round’, with Fred. Still do.

      • Sean Dickson

It’s a duet by me and Fred

        • TuuxKabin

Thank you, Sean, for clearing that up. And thanks for a great performance!!!

    • iamvince

I think that was Sean Dickson.

  • Jamsie

Porn vib yes. But a friend tells me it sounds like bath house background music?

    • Lars De

That would be a bath house with a dj worth his salt!

  • Have not thought about the friggin Soup Dragons in eons. I feel old (well, truthfully, I already did).

  • Lakeview Bob

For a moment I thought I was at the old D.C. Eagle in 1978,

    • Lars De

…but then when you’re feet didn’t stick to the floor you knew it was only a dream.

      • TuuxKabin

I used to dream a lot.

Another HiFi Sean track from last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Pd9hH93DHQ

    • Sean Dickson

      thanks mister

  • Lars De

At this point when you hear that anyone from the B-52’s is involved with a project it’s just about the same as hearing that one of your best friends is doing something. Even if you don’t totally love it they still get a pass because you love them. Happily, I pretty much love everything they’ve ever done, including this. Does anyone else remember the project Cindy did with the actor Bill Paxton, Martini Ranch? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_fZ06PbuhQ&index=10&list=PL1A4gf2UXZoIxR_mfyEx-KLCKUge8ToYb

  • William

I lived through the ‘Convoy’ era. Thank you, no. Give me a Rock Lobster instead.

  • sequel

joe, you have horrible taste in music :/

  • sikkentarred

I don’t know why, but i think those two bearded guys in gold jackets are gonna give me nightmares!

  • drlouie

    Loved 70’s porn

  • Professor Barnhardt

I love that Becker Mexico AM-FM, LW-MW-SW in-dash radio. See 0:38, for example. I had a similar Blaupunkt Frankfurt that I gave away a good 25 years ago. Price one now.

  • rusty57

    Kansas City Trucking Company.

    • djcoastermark

      Yeah Al Parker.

  • mikeinrkfd

If you are driving SEAN, I will certainly get on board.

    • Sean Dickson

  • djcoastermark

  • londonbuddy

Sean’s husband Mike is one of the sweetest guys you could ever meet

  • Snarky

At 2:10, the “Evel Knievel” was actually George Hamilton playing Knievel in an awful movie. Extra points for the bonus schlock inclusion.

    • Sean Dickson

      well spotted

  • G Thomas

    yes, Fred YES!!

  • Sean Dickson

I love truckers and I love trucking 😉
