Quinnipiac Poll: Hillary +4 Points

Via Politico:

Hillary Clinton is back on top of Donald Trump in a Quinnipiac University national poll released Wednesday—barely. Drawing her support from younger, more educated and predominantly women voters, the former secretary of state leads the presumptive Republican nominee 45 percent to 41 percent. In the hypothetical but increasingly likely matchup between Clinton and Trump, 51 percent to 35 percent of men opted for the Manhattan businessman, while 54 percent to 30 percent of women went for Clinton.

Quinnipiac conducted the poll via landlines and cellphones from May 24 through Memorial Day, surveying 1,561 registered voters nationwide with an overall margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points. Among the 678 Democrats surveyed, the margin of error is plus or minus 3.8 percentage points.

Should the general election be between Sanders and Trump, however, the Vermont senator enjoys a larger advantage than does Clinton in this survey, continuing a trend that Sanders’ campaign has been happy to reference as the primary campaign hits the homestretch. Sanders leads Trump 48 percent to 39 percent, winning among independents by 8 points and doing better with men than Clinton does matched against the Republican.
