MICHIGAN: Bruce Springsteen Warns Detroit Audience That Anti-LGBT Laws May Be Heading Their Way Too

On Thursday night Bruce Springsteen played Detroit, where he warned his audience that anti-LGBT laws are also in the works in Michigan:

Just days after he scrapped a show in North Carolina as a protest against a new anti-LGBT state law, which restricts the public bathrooms transgenders can use, The Boss showed he was still upset about the controversy onstage at the Palace of Auburn Hills, where he was joined by city rock legend Bob Seger.

And he warned fans that the issues surrounding anti-gay bills could be coming their way soon, revealing that Michigan lawmakers were considering LGBT-discriminating legislation “similar to the ones that forced us to cancel our show in North Carolina.”

“We hope the bill doesn’t pass, ’cause we love playing in Michigan,” Springsteen added. “So keep your heads up.” To hammer home his message, the rocker and his band then launched into patriotic anthem “Born in the USA.”

As most of you surely know, Born In The USA is hardly a “patriotic anthem.”
