Trump: I Don’t Really Care If The National Enquirer Story About Ted Cruz’s Adultery Is True Or Not [VIDEO]

Via Mediatite:

On ABC, This Week guest host Jon Karl asked Trump if his campaign or anyone connected to it was in any way involved with the story. Trump said no one did and he lashed out at Cruz for blaming him when, he said, “I have no control over the National Enquirer.” Reports in the past few days have noted Trump’s close relationship with David Pecker, who runs the Enquirer. Karl asked Trump if he would condemn the story. Trump said, “I don’t care, I mean, really, I don’t care… I have no idea whether it was right or not. They actually have a very good record of being right… I hope it’s not right.”

  • JT

Sure you care. And you want to keep talking about it. Lying sack of shit.

  • Michael Smith

“They actually have a very good record of being right… I hope it’s not right.”

If anybody buys that, then Trump really is a great businessman.

    • AnUsualSuspect

Ask anyone who’s done business with the Enquirer in the past: they have a very good legal department!

    • Traxley Launderette

Hey, he says he hopes it’s not right.

Maybe that’s because 1 out of every 2 pictures of Corey Lewandowski involve him grabbing, shoving, or punching someone.

Which is it, Rump? You don’t care or you hope it’s not right? For fuck sake, an inimical foreign leader would make mincemeat of this mealy-mouthed tangerine.

  • Zhenren

Why should Trump care? It’s Preacher Ted’s problem.

    Here I fixed it ….

Trump : I Don’t Really Care If ANYTHING Is True Or Not

  • jomicur

Does he care if anything is true? Anything at all?

    • Johnny Wyeknot

What makes you think it isn’t true? Did we learn nothing from the recent Alabama governor’s expose?

      • jomicur

What makes you think I think it isn’t true or isn’t at least plausible? How does a comment about Trump’s disregard for truth translate into a statement believing in Cruz’s virtue? Jesus.

Do you think that he really has anything to put into it? Small fingers and such?

  • RainbowPhoenix

Please, Trump has made it blaringly obvious that he doesn’t care about the truth. Why is it suddenly news when he admits it?

  • Joe in PA

Oh FFS CNN-wannabe ABC: “I want to ask you some policy questions…but first I have to ask you…

Because enquiring minds want to know. SMH.

It would sort of be difficult for a twice divorced serial adulterer, to say that he actually cares whether Ted Cruz cheated or not, because that means he would expect other people to care if he cheated or not.

I frankly, don’t care that either one of them cheated. They’re both such despicable assholes, that their cheating doesn’t even register as something to be concerned about.

But…it is rather fun to watch the Bible thumping GOP go up in flames over adultery.

    • boatboy_srq

Personally it’s an individual choice. Politically – especially in this case for the leadership of the Party of Family Values™ – it’s highly significant.

Cheating, in this case serial cheating, is relevant in that the cheater is campaigning on Xtian values – which include a monogamous family life and the willpower to say “no” to temptation. The allegations won’t hurt Cruz as much as they deserve to, but they will make his “happily married Xtian man” shtick a lot less believable.

It’s also relevant in Cruz’ insistence on voiding Obergefell and other SSM advances, since “teh gheys can’t be monogamous – only heteros can” is part of the Xtians’ argument against SSM. If the brightest light of the FundiEvangelist Xtian wing of the GOTea can’t keep his fly buttoned, it makes the movement look worse (if that’s possible), which makes Cruz that much less attractive.

Both of these, combined with the Reichwing’s insistence on taking down Dems who’ve behaved similarly, make the allegations pertinent. This kind of gossip-spawned public mess cost Hart and Edwards their careers: it would be only fitting if it cost Cruz his as well. IOKIYAR applies, of course, but there will be enough people on their side of the aisle disgusted by the scandal to make Cruz feel it, and at a time when every percentage point in the polls is vital.

      • TampaDink

But, but, but….Ted denied the allegations….so we know this is a fabricated story. Because fundies never, ever, ever tell lies, especially about fucking people that they are not married to.

  • PLAINTOM

The GOP nomination race is a reality TV show and this story disrupts the character plot line Cruz was working on. God’s anointed one got caught with his pants down.

  • Esef Brewer

Lyin’ Ted is having a mental meltdown.

Lyin’ Ted is falling further and further behind Mr. Trump.

Now it’s being revealed that Lyin’ Ted is a religious hypocrite, and he lies relentlessly to his wife, and hides behind his family. Lyin’ Ted is the most despicable liar in the race now that Jeb dropped out.

  • bkmn

The shit has already been thrown. That is all that matters.

    • RainbowPhoenix

The monkeys at the zoo were much better behaved than this last time I was there.

      • Johnny Wyeknot

Monkeys behind bars. My niece took her family to a zoo this morning. Better than taking them to a church but I still don’t get it.

    • Todd20036

      Is that the Christmas Poo?

  • Esef Brewer

Perhaps the GOP can determine their nominee by having a bare fisted cage match between Lyin’ Ted and Super Trump at the convention. Winner take all.

    • Soren456

      Bring back the Thunderdome.

  • Steven Leahy

He his drones successfully planted the seed in people’s minds, whether true or not, so the damage will be done. Normally I’d be pissed and offended at this tactic, but with Cruz as the target, sorry, just doesn’t bother me a bit, hehe.

    • Johnny Wyeknot

Frankly I have come to realize that political ambitions and sexual prowess often come hand-in-hand. Especially with religious zealots like Cruz. And don’t they always categorically deny it at first?

      • MaryOGrady

I am not sure that “prowess” is the right word. It would be necessary to gather information from his partners, and I do not want that to happen, ever. The nausea!

  • Esef Brewer

The brokered GOP convention will have open bars for all attendees, and will be an open carry event.

    • TampaDink

In a perfect world, this would really be true….and they’d also have a fireworks vendor on hand, just in case anyone wanted to test all of the open carrying morons status as responsible gun owners.

      • D. J.

And a drug testing station for all ‘candidates’.

        • TampaDink

If they don’t test with high concentration of drugs, they are to be taken aside & questioned. Just to be sure they really are republicans.

    • It won’t be open carry. The venue doesn’t permit guns, hence the petition to allow it to be open carry. Although the petition got many thousands of signatures, if you read the comments it’s quite clear that they were made not open carry proponents nor even Republicans, much less attendees. The venue won’t pay the the petition much heed.

Which is too bad, because politicians advocating for guns in schools school be made to stand by the same rules in their own conventions.

      • Chicago joe

And in their chambers….house, senate, other.

    • Robert Conner

Given their base, the bar will be serving meth as well as alcohol.

      • D. J.

It’s the only way they could get Palin, Bachman, Gohmert and so many others to attend.

  • Michael Alden

Trump has recently said that he’ll delegate the nomination for Justices for the Supreme Court to the Heritage Foundation. For any LGBT liberal progressive saying they’ll stay home or vote for Trump or third party if their candidate loses the nomination (mostly coming from Bernie supporters). This is not an election one should just stay home over. Regardless of who gets the Nom – and I’m prejudiced towards my candidate lol – this is a very important election don’t forget that. And even if Cruz gets it, he’s just as bad if not worse because he wont need to delegate his prejudice like Trump; It’ll come straight from him.

  • MikeBx2

I wonder why he feels the need to keep saying he hopes it’s not right?

    • TampaDink

Just to keep the story in the news.

      • MikeBx2

i suppose. It’s just that I can’t figure out who he would feel bad for if it is true. Cruz? Cruz’s wife? The women? He’s shown disdain for all.

        • TampaDink

I’ve solved the problem for myself…by deciding not to feel bad for anyone involved. Heidi-ho knew what she was marrying & anyone else who’d screw him, unless they were forced are to blame for their own bad choices.

    • Tor

It makes him sound all Christiany and generous and compassionate and shit.

  • HanyBaal

“Dick Pecker” that’s how I read the Enquirer’ dude name at 1st. Man must be my cravings.

    • Esef Brewer

You can’t make this stuff up

  • Esef Brewer

Lyin’ Ted is a loser and needs to realize Trump is now commander of the GOP

  • Johnny Wyeknot

It is a fairly brilliant statement if you think about it. Haha! And given Republican evangelical history with extramarital affairs who knows? Cruz’s denial? Lyin’ Ted? ;-/

  • That_Looks_Delicious

Now is the time to call in the favors, Ted! Get Josh Duggar and and Kim Davis’ 4th husband to do some campaign appearances for you. That’ll shore up the faithful holy matrimony vote. ROFLMAO.

  • Robert Conner

New Teddy Boy “rat fucker” bumper sticker. The resemblance between Teddy and Rat Fink is yyyyuuuge.

  • Hank

As for Cruz, whether or not the story about his supposed infidelities are true or not, take a look at this article from the NY Times!!! (I still cannot comprehend, why ANYONE would find him attractive…. either female or male!!! If I want something slippery or totally greasy, I have my silicon lube!!!

    http://takingnote.blogs.nytimes.com/2016/03/25/ted-cruzs-terrifying-approach-to-religious-liberty/?ref=international

  • Of course not. The damage is already done and you talking about it only stokes the fire storm into a fire whirl that can be seen from space.

  • Mark

Hell, I don’t care either – but I really do like how Cruz got all huffy-puffy and pissed off….as Trump just reeled him in like limp carp.

  • Cuberly
  • Boy Elvis

Well, one thing is accurate here: Donald Trump does not care about the truth.

  • TheManicMechanic

When have any Repubs cared about the truth? THEY CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!

  • dcurlee

Off subject every time I see Trump speak his mouth looks like a baboons ass

    • charemor

Not off subject at all; simply the truth.

    • Todd20036

      Stop disrespecting baboons

  • Tigernan Quinn

I thought this whole thing would blow over, but I wandered through the Right boards (ugh) and they are FROTHING at the “truth” that Ted clearly had 9 adulterous relationships. Nine. That he got one woman to let him inside of her is itself proof on a Christian God, but nine more? Starting to sound like a story Ted planted himself. But more to the point – rapid conservative lapdogs are eating it hook, line, and sinker. If I read him being called a godless charlatan once, I read it ten more times.

    • Ben in Oakland

Where is that site? Links, or it didn’t happen. 🙂

That is an interesting idea that sCruz planted the story himself. It hadn’t occurred to me, but I think he’s just reptile enough to do so, in an effort to discredit 2Rump

I hope you encouraged the crazies in their craziness, egged them on. I think it can only help the cause…

…at least until they remember where they left their guns.

  • justmeeeee

We’ve all got our own adultery stories, don’t we, Donald?
