Two More Breitbart Staffers Jump Ship: The Site Is Now Just A “Media Super PAC For The Trump Campaign”

Jezebel reports:

This weekend, following the deeply unsurprising revelation that Breitbart News Network leadership was significantly more concerned with preserving ties to the Donald Trump campaign than with showing an ounce of integrity, reporter Michelle Fields and editor-at-large Ben Shapiro publicly announced their resignations.

Now, two more staffers—National Security Correspondent Jordan Schachtel and Editor Jarrett Stepman—have also left the organization. “Breitbart News is no longer a journalistic enterprise, but instead, in my opinion, something resembling an unaffiliated media Super PAC for the Trump campaign,” Schachtel wrote in a statement. “I signed my contract to work as a journalist, not as a member of the Donald J. Trump for President media network.”

“Breitbart News has always been open about being a grassroots, conservative publication, but in my opinion we are working with or perhaps even taking direction from a presidential campaign, which is unacceptable journalistic behavior,” Stepman echoed.
