Christian Group Issues List Of Candy, Flowers, And Jewelry Brands To Boycott On Valentine’s Day

As they have done for other holidays, Faith Driven Consumer has posted a listing of brands to boycott on Valentine’s Day because their parent companies do not show “respect for and compatibility with biblically orthodox teachings.” They write:

valentinesbest“Valentine’s Day has been celebrated by Christians for many centuries; its emphasis on love makes this special day a natural fit for the Faith Driven Consumer community. As brands scramble to earn our business this year, the new data we are releasing empowers our community to clearly understand who they should shop with,” said Chris Stone, Certified Brand Strategist and founder of Faith Driven Consumer. “We look forward to working with all brands to improve their scores as we approach the Easter, the next major faith holiday.”

The Faith Equality Index rates, on a 100-point scale, how well brands acknowledge Faith Driven Consumers by welcoming, embracing, and celebrating them, and is the yardstick FDCs use to make consumer choices—through the lens of their biblical worldview.
