Trump Backs “Waterboarding And Worse” [VIDEO]

Torture techniques such a waterboarding were banned by federal law a decade ago, but Donald Trump last night vowed its return “and worse.” He doubled-down on this morning’s talk shows. Politico reports:

“They’re chopping heads of Christians and many other people in the Middle East,” Trump said, when asked about his comments by Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “They’re chopping heads off. They laugh at us when they hear that we’re not going to approve waterboarding.”

“I have no doubt that it does work,” he added. Trump wouldn’t say how he’d get around a 2006 law making the torture practice illegal. He also refused to say exactly when he meant by “a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding.”

“What does that mean? What is a lot further?” NBC’s Chuck Todd asked on “Meet the Press.” “I’m not going to define it to you on this program,” Trump replied. “But I would be very much in favor of going beyond waterboarding. It wouldn’t bother me even a little bit,” he added.
