Trump Spokeswoman Longs For “Pure Breeds”

We last heard about Trump campaign spokesperson Katrina Pierson when she wore a bullet necklace on CNN. Over the weekend reporters dug into Pierson’s Twitter history and as you can see, there are some racist doozies there. Pierson, it must be pointed out, is of mixed race herself. More examples below.

A failed 2014 candidate for the US House who earned an endorsement from Rafael Cruz and Sarah Palin, yesterday Pierson bizarrely denounced the tweets as “fake” even though at this writing they remain in her Twitter timeline. Also interesting is that last year Pierson tweeted multiple times in support of Ted Cruz.KP5piersonpalin

  • oikos

So which breed is pure in Cruz? Canadian or Cuban? And what about Katrina? What’s her pedigree?

    • bkmn

Asshole. 100% Asshole. For both Cruz and Katrina.

…but, you see, her life would have been so much *better* if she was pure bred.

    • clay

Wait, wasn’t Turmp’s mommy born out of the country, like his wives?

      • b

Isn’t Trump due for a wife upgrade? Racks can’t feel young and firm forever.

In 1997 Pierson pleaded “no contest” to shoplifting charges.

In 2014 she was exposed for taking unemployment benefits while working as a consultant for Ted Cruz.

Interesting how the Trump campaign is going full-nazi.

Can you imagine the absolute freak show that their focus groups must be?

    • Snarkaholic

They’re probably discussing how much $ they’ll save on disability payments if/when they ‘dispose’ of all the poor elderly/infirm.

    • Gindy51

The true Trump cultist doesn’t care. All they want is an authoritarian who says he will kick some one’s ass, doesn’t matter who. Rich, poor, smart, stupid, all of the idiots who love this joke of a human being want a daddy to take care of them.

      • another_steve

That, and the fact that there’s been a black man in the White House for the last seven years.

The cornflake and Cialis merchandising industry commonly referred to as “TV journalism” won’t go there, but everyone knows what one of the major motivators — perhaps THE major motivator — of the Republican base is today.

Get a white man back in the White House.

        A white supremacist, even better.

    • Hue-Man

Any statistics on how many are shot by another focus group member?

    • zhera

Breitbart and Drudge are their focus groups.

    • charemor

On the Daily Kos someone posted an editorial about his little girl group singing his campaign song; dreadful, stupid and hateful words, deadful music, just awful. In the comment section someone posted the song Tomorrow Belongs to Me from Cabaret. The similaities are frightening and chilling.

  • oikos

    ..

  • as a mixed “race” person, i can tell you with certainty that this one is a self-hater and really fucked up on the inside. i guess the bullet necklace was my first clue; i don’t follow tRump that closely and had only heard that his campaign staff were assholes like he is.

but it really sucks to hate yourself like i know she does. money isn’t going to solve the problem, honey. the deadness in your eyes suggests somebody hurt you, too. maybe an ex or a touchy uncle. therapy can help. and realizing that you’re actually an attractive person, so long as you can keep the hate off your face, and you can’t. that’s why he(she) left you, even tho you had all the chops for a top dollar collar. hate is just not pretty, even smothered in TV grade makeup and money.

    • Gerry Fisher

I’m really surprised that more people don’t notice Dead Eyes and see them as a warning sign. They really jump out at me when I see them. They rattle me.

      • i have a semi-eidetic memory for visual things. esp movies and video. what you typed just caused me to think of a couple of scenes from a couple of movies where that lesson was really drilled into me. pay attention to the eyes, always.

one of my favorite authors wrote a scene, and the character says, “…until then, I had never seen a man decide to kill” when someone she’s talking to realizes the consequence of what she just told him. it’s really true and i have seen that; it’s spooky.

someone can put in some fun eye gifs; i’m not good at that stuff. 😉

        • McShane
          • b

One of the spooky things about conservative eyes is the wide-eyes: trying to mimic happiness and joy while putting others down. They are always turned on, in a very fake way, and always accompanied by a fake, scary smile, like a clown.

Carly Fiorina and the “million” moms (intern) are great examples.

In the early 80s, a couple friends and I figured out a way to smuggle Realistic model kits out of the TG&Y by pretending to go to the bathroom.

We stole a shit load of models. And since our parents where less than engaged in our lives, they just thought a freshly assembled model hanging in our room mean’t we’d “saved” to purchase said model.

The LAST thing I’m going to do, is diss Pierson for this particular crime. And NO I’m not proud of that particular moment in my life. Pierson got caught, and my friends and I, never did.

    • Todd Allis

Agreed. I think the TV grade makeup actually makes the dead eyes stand out more.

I credit George Will for my decision to stop listening to talking heads on the Sunday morning “political analysis” shows. There’s nothing of any value to be learned from them.

      • Paula

That is exactly what I call them, too. Talking head shows, get old very quickly.

      • another_steve

Very sad that the world of journalism gives cred to monsters like George Will and Pat Buchanan — both of whom have been totally discredited by objective political observers time after time. Both of whom have said the most horrendous things about the various minority groups, including LGBT people.

The ominous and dark imaginings of TV journalism in the classic 1976 film “Network” have become today’s reality.

The networks will do whatever is necessary — showcase the slimiest of the slimy — to boost ratings.

        • GayOldLady

Spot on!!! The Cable News and Network News Channels want to turn every political utterance, of any candidate, into a drama. The more commotion they can drum up, the higher their ratings. They bring their personal politics to the table instead of remaining neutral and objective. They sell themselves as authorities when they’re really just funnels for whatever brand of propaganda they think will boost the ratings. I still think of how they tried to sell the election of 2012 as a close contest between Obama and RMoney to the point where even the polls were influenced by it. And then on election night the entire scam was laid bare. The Oldest polling organization in the Country, Gallup, got out of the Presidential Polling business as a consequence.

          • Bj Lincoln

I watch the local news to find out what’s going on in my city and not much else because it has turned into one sound bit and bitter nobody’s opinion for ratings.

          • another_steve

            Thank you.

I watch it for the weather forecasts and to find out where the closest overnight water main break was, relative to my house.

Ha Ha Ha Water main breaks are a problem here. That and streets sliding down in railroad ditches.

          • Gil

          • Steve Teeter

I watch it for the weather, too, and for local news. But it gets wearying when night after night the lede seems always to be the murder of the day.

          • another_steve

Particularly chilling, I think, is how many of the questions posed to the candidates during the debates (if you can call them “debates”) — supposedly from “journalists” — reveal bias and/or are leading questions. Questions that attempt to elicit the questioner’s desired response.

            Walter Cronkite, where are you.

            We need ya, girl.

          • GayOldLady

Nothing even remotely resembling Walter Cronkite exists anymore. No Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, Edward R. Murrow, not a single journalist, print of TV, of that caliber in 2016.

        • Bj Lincoln

          Nailed it.

Nanny Will is very strict and humorless and Mary Poppin’s should kick her cold hearted, picky, picky Conservative ass.

      • That_Looks_Delicious

George Will is interesting to me to occasionally listen to because he will sometimes let slip (or say out loud) the things that the conservative “intelligentsia” really believes, as opposed to the usual talking points. I’ll never forget the one time he gave a serious defense of the “social benefit of hypocrisy.”

    • PLAINTOM

    • another_steve

Not at all clear how “mainstream establishment” Republicans can stop the Trump/Cruz tide. Even if some kind of horrendous scandal comes to the surface and one of them has to drop out, I assume the other would get the resulting “up-for-grab” votes.

What scenario is there now for someone like Rubio to garner a majority of Republican support out there?

My paternal grandmother’s maiden name was Minerva Eagle Hunter. She had black hair and black eyes and a photograph of her father in cavalry dress and a Pawnee forelock. He taught her husband, the son of a Milk’s Camp Clan Lakota convert to Christianity, to speak Pawnee.

My paternal grandmother swore there was no Indian on HER side of the family!

    • sw42

Awesome! That was great to read.

      • clay

Hopefully you meant my writing, not her reality.

            The white invaders happened.

          • Justin

Very likely, it was not socially beneficial to claim to be anything but lily white. My grandmother swore up and down that she had no Irish blood, when it was clearly not the case given the family name of Storment…. and her black hair, vivid blue eyes, and pale Celtic skin.

        • sw42

Yeah, that’s why I fixed it.

    • Friday

      Badass name. 🙂

  • a lot of Obots (and i’m saying this lovingly, for a change) call him a miracle president, and they are right. but not for the reasons they think. there are more of us every day, but black/white “mixed” children were very rare when he and i grew up. those of us who grew up in the country or all white areas had an interesting experience, at the very least.

black communities are a lot more open to the idea that yo momma may have had you by a white man. it’s been happening since forever and we’ve never been able to pretend otherwise. until the “black” mothers are so light skinned, their offspring with “white” men are so ‘white’ they can pass, and that’s a whole nuther story. it’s the story of a whole branch of my family. ask yourself why my relatives in that bunch would want to pretend they were white, given they could get away with it. but that was in the 30s.

this little girl came up in a much better time. i really think there’s more going on here than just her own self hatred. obama has an evil twin, i’ve met him. you probably haven’t; he’s in jail now. but the point is for every obama, in our generation there were a lot of fucked up people due to what it means to be this. i wonder where she’s from, if she had some other issues as a child (we’re more likely to be victims of abuse, statistically). anyway, maybe she’ll grow out of it once rTump mania passes. save your paychecks, honey. you may not be wanted very soon, by anyone.

    • Hue-Man

“black/white “mixed” children were very rare”

“On average, the scientists found, people who identified as
African-American had genes that were only 73.2 percent African. European
genes accounted for 24 percent of their DNA, while .8 percent came from
      Native Americans.”

“Most Americans with less than 28 percent African-American ancestry say
they are white, the researchers found. Above that threshold, people
tended to describe themselves as African-American.”

      http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/25/science/23andme-genetic-ethnicity-study.html?_r=0

We’re all “out of Africa”. We’re all “mixed race” until we start cloning human babies – I have 1/2 my mother’s genes and 1/2 my father’s. To focus on skin color is irrelevant and bizarre. (Reminder: Obama is 1/2 white!)

      • this is why i use scare quotes around “race” and “white” and “black.”

the newer science is sort of awesome to people like me, heh. all these ancestry services must be surprising the shit out of a lot of people. race is a silly concept and science is helping to kill it. i try to do my part.

        • ColdCountry

I would think that anyone who’s (non-native American) family has been in the country for a hundred years or so would be very hard put to claim “pure” blood of any kind. This country is called a melting pot for good reason.

      • grada3784

I’m of Sicilian ancestry on the maternal side. Sicily was a garbage dump for centuries. Greek, Roman, North African, Arab, Jewish, Norman, German, Native Italian, almost certainly sub-Saharan African.

Paternal side is Lithuanian: Native Litvak, Polish, Russian, Jewish, Tartar, German, etc.

I’ve been told all my life I look Jewish; I might as well be the UN in ancestry.

        • clay

I have a friend who claims his mother was “pure” Sicilian. The tufts on his ears say there was Roma in there somewhere.

          • grada3784

            Wouldn’t be at all surprised.

      • Reality.Bites

        I have ½ my mother’s and ½ the milkman’s.

      • CJAS

In our culture, generic and historical reality is irrelevant. Skin color, and phenotype, is the most significant determining factor in one’s life chances (thus her surgeries). But, I hear you.

Thank you for this……your personal story goes a long way to help understand the depth and complexity of the issue of mixed race. A dear friend who has red hair, green-eyes and very pale Irish gave birth to a black daughter and believe me, even though it was a university town, and the kid was educated in private schools..It was difficult and very painful at times as you must so well know.

I watched “The Man in The High Castle” yesterday. I am hoping like that show we are in an alternate timeline and I will wake up.

This is an enjoyable read about, the raised on welfare, shoplifting, Obama voting, woman of a white mother and black father, Katrina Pierson.

I’m curious as to what “pure breed” she claims to be.

    • Claude Jacques Bonhomme

It seems that, after the labradoodle, we now have the pure whackadoodle breed.

      • TampaZeke

HA! I think you just broke the internets!

    • I think you’ve uncovered her agenda. She wants us to discuss this so we can be accused of being liberal, leftist, racists.

Well, she certainly has that plastic look.

  • This is a Trump official campaign spokesperson but hey, nothing to see here. Move along. No need to worry. That name of that guy from back in Hitlerstory shouldn’t have any commonality with this.

I’m just going to go with: Holy Fuck?!
Yup, that’s pretty much all I have other than to advise for Ms. Pierson to look in a mirror (but not too closely lest she turn to stone). Not sure that she’s “pure bred” anything. This has to be a joke, right? Right?

I wouldn’t expect tRumpy to pick his spokesperson on grounds of intelligence. Seems I was right.

This creature is a traitor to every category it belongs to, including the human race.

  • Grafxbear

I suggest she consider a purebred dog, though I question if she would be a humane owner.
    Silly Muggle hater.

Voldemort himself was half Muggle and his hatred of that part of him made him the most fervent hater of Muggles.

Okay my ancestors are all from Europe (so far as I know but I’m thinking about doing the DNA thing…hoping there’s something interesting in that data!) but they are from all of it from Greece to Lapland and from Ireland to Russia. Pure bred equal in bred. That’s NOT a good thing.

  • RainbowPhoenix

Are we going be pre or post WWII definitions? Because that will determine whether or not I count.

  • The countdown to self destruction went off 5 minutes ago. We’re still in the detonation phase. Their side is caught in an explosion/implosion they can’t stop and it will sweep the election, maybe even the next twenty years. One can hope.

In the mean time, we have to make sure no one outside their circle of crazy takes their bullshit seriously. I’m still not going to vote for Hillary in the primary, but I will keep pushing her to go left in her future announcements. Stop with the “Obamacare is better” bullshit, start pushing wallstreet reform, break up the damn banks, even if she doesn’t believe it, push the tax to pay for college line. We need a candidate that isn’t going to just automatically step in to fill the conservative vacuum. She is a Democrat, she needs to run on Democratic ideals, damn it!

    • skeptical_inquirer

What I hate is when I hear the occasional GOPer moan that if only the Democrats would run someone more centrist or rightward, they’d vote for them. I hate them because they are lying sacks of crap. They’ll demand the Dems go right then still go vote for the GOP.

The Democratic party needs to get a clue that some votes aren’t worth chasing. It’s like hoping the Duggars and the Duck dynasty people will vote for you. It’s not going to happen.

      • That’s why I’m not voting for Hil-dawg. She chanted that bullshit lie “reach across the aisle” all during her senate run, her 2008 candidacy, and her tenor at the State department. They weren’t reaching across the aisle, they were running to hand everything to the republicans, acting like puppies trying to appease their master.

It’s not a 2 party system. It’s not conservative verses liberal with the independents deciding who is right. They’ve lost their strangle hold on and it’s not going to end well for either party unless they realize the old tactics don’t work.

I still hold a special place in my heart for her, but she won’t be my candidate unless she wins the party nomination.

  • AC2000

Im confused about her background , what is he half african Ameran and half Cuntasian?

  • Wow, what a horrifically terrible human being.

  • Bob Conti

Katrina’s sure the right name for her, she’s a disaster.

  • kaydenpat

Strange that a mixed race woman would be worried about “pure breeds” — whatever the hell that means. Her tweets are so lovely. Trump sure knows how to pick them.

  • Johnny Wyeknot

We need more resources to treat mental illness.

  • NeverEclipsed

Well, I like chins on people, but when I see her forehead I realize that’s where her chin went, so I deal with it.

  • JT

Does she give details about her family tree?

Since we all came out of Africa, her concern is easily satisfied.

    Trump supporters …

  • The stupid. it BURNS!!!

Yeshua ben Miriam did not found a Church. His followers organized a Jewish sect based on his teachings, and then decided (Council of Jerusalem) to welcome non-Jews without making them become Jewish first. As this movement grew, its theology was all over the place, with different factions believing different things. In 325 C.E., the Roman emperor, who wanted a single unitary Christianity to be the official religion of the empire because its theology was comforting to slaves, who were urged to be obedient to their masters. So he called a council to be held in Nicaea, in which the Trinitarian Athanasians narrowly outvoted the Arians.

At that point there was a single “christianity” adhering to the Nicene Creed and anyone else was a heretic or schismatic.

In 1054 CE, there was a split between the Eastern and Western churches, as the Western Church insisted on adding a word to the creed. This was a schism. The western Church had been insisting on papal primacy as more than being the primum inter pares that the Eastern patriarchates were willing to accept.

In the 1400’s there was a fragmentation of the Western (Roman Catholic) Church, as the Protestant Revolt (from the RCC POV, or Reformation from the Protestant POV) took place with the likes of Martin Luther, John Calvin, Henry VIII and others creating new heretical (from the RCC POV) churches at odds with Rome.

So to recap – Jesus did not “found” Christianity. The earliest “Chriatians” were Jews. As Christianity grew, it was in theological disarray until 325 CE when a single Creed was adopted. There was an east-west split in 1054. and a later fractalization of the Western Church starting in the 1400’s with Martin Luther.

All of the various Christian churches can claim a history that has them “founded” by Yeshua ben Miriam, though it may be that only the various Orthodox Chrches, the Roman Catholic Church, and at least some of the mainline Protestant churches (Anglican/Episcopalian, Lutheran, Methodist) that accept the Nicene Creed (with or without the filioque ) are relatively close to the Christianity that was voted as Orthodox in 325 CE.

Be that as it may, there isn’t much in the moral teachings of most traditional forms of Christianity that make them legitimate religions – they have done, and continue to do, a tremendous amount of harm.

  • CJAS

I had no idea she identifies as Black until today. In fact, it never crossed my mind. She’s a con artist. She’s sees an easy money-grab in the Tea Party and the Trump “campaign”.
