Obama Talks About Nothing With Jerry Seinfeld

Via Politico:

Comedian-in-Chief Barack Obama on Wednesday fired off quips alongside Jerry Seinfeld to open season 7 of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” “I always wanted to be in a show about nothing and here I am,” Obama says. “There’s nothing more nothing than this,” Seinfeld responds. “Nothing.”

The online series features Seinfeld driving around various cities with other comedians. This time, however, the president joined Seinfeld for a trip across the South Lawn in a blue 1963 Corvette Stingray Split Window Coupe before heading to the White House for coffee.

“And I think this cool blue is just the right color for my are-you-kidding-me-super-special guest today: the commander in chief of the United States of America, President Barack Obama, who, in my opinion, has gotten off just enough funny lines to qualify for getting on this show,” Seinfeld says.

You can watch the full show here. The president is quite relaxed and gets off more than a few good jokes. (Tipped by JMG reader Arthur)

I miss you so much already that it hurts President Obama!

    • Bluto

I love that! As a side note, Mr. Bear can hug the stuffin’ out of me anytime.

      • John P.

        I might suggest a three-some!

    • DonnaLee

I still love seeing that. He was so excited it was super cute. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a president picked up before either.

      • james_from_cambridge

He’s lucky the secret service didn’t take him out but TBF, they were probably drunk and misplaced their gun.

  • Prion

    No seat belts/shoulder strap?

    • Bj Lincoln

Shoulder straps were not standard then, maybe not invented then. Seat belts may have been required then but no bells to drive you crazy if you forgot.

      • Gustav2

And if you have a collectible older car, they are not required unless you do modern modifications.

In my lifetime, there hasn’t been a single president that I wished could stay on a while longer……until this one.

    • Queequeg

It will be sad to see him go, but I’ll bet he’ll be somewhat happy to get out of there and away from the crazies.

      • he will be like Benjamin Button…he will reverse age…smoke some weed and relax…

        • Queequeg

He deserves a good, long period of relaxation after these eight years.

  • dr morbius

All too often, an Administration about nothing. (Except expanding surveillance and drone bombing.)

    • agcons

      You mean like your Congress?

      • dr morbius

What’s it like to assume anyone against Obama is GOP? Is that how your cocooned peabrain actually works?

        • Queequeg

Realistically there is only one alternative to the Democtrats in this country and that ia the GOP. Vote Democratic in this election or we’ll have President Cruz or Rubio that would be a nightmare. Careful what you wish for.

        • agcons

          Oooh, tiff.

Perhaps “your” as in “the US” could be another interpretation? It’s not an unreasonable assumption that you’re an American, after all. However, given your childish reaction my guess is that your remark was partisan, and not just against Obama.

    • stevenj

So why don’t you go ahead and list all the Republican accomplishments of the last 7 years. Oh, right.

      • Goodboy

Oh come on. Think of all the times they’ve tried to kill Obama Care. That was time consuming and didn’t leave much for anything else.

      • dr morbius

I’m not a Republican, you Dembot moron.

  • TuuxKabin

Our last year with him and his gorgeous family. Anything from now on will be a bit of a let down. All I hope for is a democratic president, both houses and court appointments.

    • Queequeg

Absolutely, imagine the slimey Cruz family in the White House, with frequent visits from Rapheal. That would be my worst nightmare.
      Hillary 2016!

  • TJay229

(was that a android smart watch? I’d taken him to be a Vacheron or Patek man but, I’m fine with it)

    • Halloween_Jack

      It’s apparently a Fitbit Surge.

      • TJay229

        Oh ok!
        I didn’t know.. I knew it wasn’t a iWatch

  • Bj Lincoln

That was great! I love Obama. Thanks to Jerry, his crew and all the Presidents people who played with them.

  • Blobby

Well, Jerry had Sarah Jessica Parker on that show. I suppose she’s as much a comedian as the President.

  • Queequeg

I watched this on Crackle last night, as well as some old Seinfeld Episodes. As Jerry said, Obama is the coolest president in history.
