Pastor Kevin Swanson: Let’s Not Execute Homosexuals Until They Have A Chance To Repent [VIDEO]

“Leviticus 20:13 calls for the death penalty for homosexuals. YES! Romans 1:32 – the Apostle Paul does say that homosexuals are ‘worthy of death.’ HIS WORDS, NOT MINE! And I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ! And I am not ashamed of the truth of the word of God! And I am willing to go to jail for standing on the truth of the word of God! And I know I’ve taken the counsel, many have told me this weekend, ‘You be careful. You choose your words carefully. We have presidentials coming down to this conference this weekend.’ I understand that. But I am not ashamed of the truth of the word of God and I am willing to go to jail for it.

“Then they ask me, ‘Yes, but do you advocate for our civil leaders to do this today?’ And my answer is ‘no.’ But why? Here’s why. Because that’s not such a big deal. We are not to fear those who can kill the body. Yea, Jesus says, ‘Fear rather though the one who can cast body and soul in hell forever.’ The discussion concerning the capital punishment for homosexuals is nothing. It’s not all that important when contrasted with hellfire forever. You say, ‘Why wouldn’t you call for it?’ I say it’s because we need some time for homosexuals to repent. That’s why.” – Pastor Kevin Swanson, speaking yesterday at the convention attended by Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, and Bobby Jindal.

Swanson did not say how long we have before the executions begin. His supporters also distributed “death to gays” pamphlets at the event.

  • anne marie in philly

I am ashamed that you even fucking EXIST! stop breathing my air and taking up space on my planet, h8er!

  • Again, more hate speech. Just because this man is a so-called “Pastor” does not excuse him for publicly inciting others to do harm and for being a bigoted homophobic racist. He should be arrested and face charges for advocating the death of millions of people.

    • Agreed. But we both know this will never happen. Claiming “deeply held religious belief” is a universal “get out of jail free” card, as has been shown again and again.

      • RemusL

Only for Christians though. Can you imagine if a Muslim in the U.S. were doing the same thing?

        • barracks9

That would present quite a quandary for the fundies – see, at least it they would be calling for the death of gays. Now, if a Muslim in the U.S. was calling for the death of Adulterers, there would be no end to the butt hurt from the fundies.

          • lymis

Depends. If he was calling for punishing anyone for anything because it violated the Koran, they’d be up in arms about it, regardless of whether they agreed or not.

You not only have to hate the right things and the right people, you have to hate them the right way and for the right reasons.

          • grada3784

Muslims like the Bible too. Just not as much as the Koran.

          • That’s about all I got out of it when I read the Koran.

“God gave his word to the Jews and the Christians. They didn’t take it seriously enough, so you guys had better.”

    • jmax

There is no law against hate speech in this country. Unfortunately, he is just quoting what it says in the bible. And he knows he can’t be arrested for it, despite his claims of possible imprisonment. His religious beliefs, no matter how twisted and hateful they may be, are protected by the Constitution.

      • Bj Lincoln

We NEED Hate Speech laws and I don’t give a rats ass about their holy book.

        • jmax

I would have to disagree with you on any laws that curtail free speech. As for anyone’s holy books, yeah, they can keep that shit to themselves.

      • Robert Pierce

What if someone called for the annihilation of Christians, or any other religious group in the U.S.? What if someone called for the death of a politician or the assassination of a President? Would that not be construed as hate speech but also protected?

        • lymis

Not as hate speech, but possibly as sedition, incitement, credible threats of violence or some other “accessory to a crime” situation.

The speech might be the same, but the charges would be different.

          • Robert Pierce

Very odd to me but that’s the way it is I suppose.

          • Steve Teeter

Threatening the President is already a crime, a special carve-out of Freedom of Speech. It’s a good way to get a visit from the Secret Service.

Otherwise, what Lymis said. Sedition, incitement, threats of violence, I really wonder if these are protected under the First Amendment. Anyway, if you really think someone’s going to kill someone else you have at least a moral, and maybe a legal, obligation to call the police. Otherwise, as Lymis said, you might wind up an accessory to a crime you didn’t commit.

    • hiker_sf

And instead of calling him pastor, we should call him ‘scatman.’ He seemed a bit ‘stimulated’ when talking about smearing cow dung all over his body.

      • Steve Teeter

I like to call them clerics. It’s technically true, but it’s also what we tend to call activist Muslim leaders in the Middle East. This pisses them off.

        • McSwagg

I agree. If you are not a member of their cult, you don’t have to use the title they give to themselves. Why should I call a catholic priest ‘Father’? He’s not my father and probably isn’t a father in the genetic sense either. Why should I call a mormon missionary ‘Elder’ when he is barely out of his teens and much younger than I. Their titles are there to ‘put you in your place’ and elevate themselves above you. Don’t acquiesce and give them that power over you.

          • ExGayTherapyKills

    • Gerry Fisher

You’re being so unreasonable. He said he’d give us a bit of time before executing us. What more could you want?!

      • TrollopeReader

        Kinda like a Last Supper?

      • Todd20036

Hey, that’s good enough for Advocate to make him Man of the Year. Right?

  • Michael Rush

The Bible pretty much states that everyone is to be put to death for pretty much anything . When I hear someone refer to the Bible these days i just think ” Oh good for you idiot ” , if it’s meant to be a tool to make people live more sanely in a confusing and complicated world it just isn’t working .

    • McSwagg

When you are a nomadic sheep herder, the only viable punishments are death or expulsion from the clan. Prison isn’t a workable solution.

  • Joe in PA

…because he’s the generous type. Sigh.

    • Friday

“I’m pretty sure offering to shoot us isn’t quite the incentive it might seem at first.” 🙂

  • Justin

And yet Christ (if you believe in him), said not one word about us. Ever.

    • 2karmanot

The dude hung around 12 swarthy rough trade hunks. hmmmmmm

      • Hue-Man

That explains Eugene’s dark and stormy nights at the warehouse!

        • Robincho

Too bad the forklifts hadn’t been invented yet…

      • JIM W

Except for James the Lesser. He was quite fey. Just check out the portrait Leonardo did while they were enjoying that dinner.

    • Timothy Kincaid

Actually… he did. His discussion about eunuchs (and his acceptance of them) seems odd. Until you realize that in the first century the word didn’t just mean “castrated” but included all sexual minorities, in a way that we might use the word “queer”. Then you get the quite revolutionary notions of inclusion for the sexually excluded community. But, as Jesus said, “The one who can accept this should accept it.”

      • McSwagg

Also, don’t forget the story about the Roman centurion asking Jesus to cure his ill ‘servant’.

  • Thorn Spike

    Mighty Christian of him.

  • Friday

So he thinks sounding more psycho somehow makes things he said in his own words things he didn’t say ..because he says ‘Kill them later? (After conversion, maybe?)

  • geru

Seems like a totally reasonable compromise, eh?

  • zhera

Should Cruz jump up on the polls then this better become HUGE in the media. Goddamn murderer wannabes!

  • CPT_Doom

How long do we give Jewish people, Mormons, Hindus, etc to repent before Swanson wants to execute them as well? Or is he one of those who focus only on sexual sin and ignore hereay, blasphemy and paganism?

    • zhera

And child molesters, how long should they get? Oh, they’re not in danger, you say? Hmm, interesting, Swanson. Very interesting!

      • 2karmanot

Well, it figures that Mr. Jeebus was a Catholic because he said: ” Let the little childrens come onto me.” And. we all know how that turned out.

    • Snarkaholic

He hasn’t taken the time to think that over…he’s far too busy begging to be sent to jail…where he will have easy access to the abundance of dick he so desperately craves.

      • Todd20036

I thought you turn gay only after you go to jail

        • Snarkaholic

How do we know he hasn’t been there before…either as a resident, or by bringing the prisoners jello molds with files in them…in exchange for ‘favors’ after they escape?

    • Todd20036

Not Jews. The Christ eaters need us to bring about the Second Coming, or some such. I’m a little iffy on the details.

  • BearEyes

    that’s a rather clumsy half-backtrack.

    • David Walker

Yes, but it probably legally somehow gets him off any potential charges that might come his way.

Do we know what the lovely honorable governor Piyush had to say?

      • TampaDink

“I’m Bobbah Jindal and I approved this message. Just not as much as I did the original message.”

    • marshlc

Exactly what I was thinking. A way to pretend to distance himself from his hate speech.

  • Mark

And I will extend the same kindness (time) to Kevin Swanson before my desire to knock him ass over tincup over powers my willingness to just dismiss him as a complete utter delusional asshole.

  • Gene

what is required of you? to do justice, love mercy, and walk in humility with God.
from the book if Micah, in the Bible
this man is not just, has a messed up idea of mercy, and has no humility whatsoever…yet he calls himself a Christian leader, when in fact he is a vile, bigoted joke.

  • Michael Rush

Kevin Swanson homeschooled himself in the 1960’s and 70’s .

    • Cuberly

  • nycmcmike

Adulterers also get killed off in Leviticus and they’re in front of the line but preaching that means 95% of your targeted church goers would be condemned and we can’t have that if you expect them to open their wallets for the collection plates.

    • Todd20036

Please. Adultery is mentioned in the top 10 commandments, but no one demanded Kim Davis prevent adulterers from marrying and remarrying.

Hell, good old Kimmy is quite guilty of that sin, but hey, Jesus forgives and all that crap. Right?

  • TampaZeke

Wait a gosh darn minute. Now I’m confused! So the “Gospel of Jesus” comes from the “Old Testament” and from books written by people who never met him and never met anyone who ever met anyone who ever met him, hundreds of years after his alleged death and alleged resurrection but NOT from the “Gospels” which were supposed to be accounts of his life and ministry from the perspective of people who were his contemporaries?

I don’t understand how these people call themselves “Christians” instead of “Mosesians” or “Paulians”. They completely ignore Christ and run their religion on the teachings of Moses and Paul.

    • David Walker

      A) Good summary.
      B) Re-branding is never an easy thing. Easier to take over and re-shape an existing brand and convince the customers the usurpers are right. The only two examples I can think of are New Coke and Edsel, but you get the idea.

    • Sk3ptic

He knows none of his listeners have read it for themselves, or even understand how to put it in a chronologic perspective. They leave all interpretation to their leader.

      • David Walker

Reading is hard. Thinking is even harder.

    • Snarkaholic

Considering how Saul/Paul got his start (a vicious scumbag, who suddenly found the Lord and is now a perfect, sinless, qualified leader), it sounds like Ben Carson copied that story for his own biography…almost word-for word.

      • GayOldLady

Paul and the Wolf in the “Little Red Riding Hood” have much in common, they’re both characters in a work of fiction.

        • abel

Yeah, and I MUCH prefer the Wolf. Paul wants to kill me, the Wolf just wants to eat me.

          • Joe knows who I am.

You’re hanging out with the wrong wolves.

    • GayOldLady

It’s all a work of fiction!!! Who cares what someone called “Paul” wrote or didn’t write in an effort to grift from the gullible and fearful. There are no historical records from the time verifying the existence of Paul or most of the characters in the NT, most notably Jesus Christ.

“And I am willing to go to jail for standing on the truth of the word of God!”

You better be careful how you’re calling for our death you crazy SOB or you may end up in jail.

      • Hue-Man

I won’t be convinced until I see Paul’s birth certificate! (And if you’re TeaPublican, even that wouldn’t be enough.)

        • Bad Tom

And that birth certificate better be long form.

          • Ginger Snap

And not hand written on some shit papyrus.

      • Grafxbear

But they don’t, they are free to incite violence against us and never pay for it. In fact, they get paid to say it by their followers.

    • Raising_Rlyeh

It’s even stranger because the “Gospel” is only the first four books of the NT. And there is nothing in there that says it is ok to execute gays.

      • Herald

Again this just points to their Biblical illiteracy.

        • Bad Tom

          They just thump the Bible.
          They don’t read it.

          • Ginger Snap

Their thumping of the bible is replacement for humping.

          • Bad Tom

It’s the most fun they ever get.

      • grada3784

Jesus’ words mean nothing; he was just killing time. The only thing the Gospels are good for is the magic act.

      • JT

Not even anything against gay people or relationships.

    • TrollopeReader

It *is* confusing as ‘they’ like to use Leviticus aginst us, but when we point our the mixed fibers, shellfish, etc, ‘they’ claim that Jesus wiped away those laws, forgave us and died for our sins. But ‘they’ still love that one verse in Leviticus …..

      • TampaDink

Adultery, shellfish & blended fabrics are fine….but nothing angers the prince of peace like gay sex.

        • let’s be plain: buttsex. male on male buttsex, that’s what makes them crazy. they can’t stop thinking about it. lezzies are good, they make great porn. but that penis in his anus stuff?

whoa, do they get upset about that. or excited, you decide.

          • Ginger Snap

They get upset because it excites them.

          • TampaDink

Absolutely. They do get worked up into quite a frenzy over this one last hold out no-no of their book of make believe.

          • johnnyboyjohn

Except when they do that same thing to their wives.
‘Cause bible says it’s OK. Pass the cornbread.

    • Steverino

And even Moses / Paul they don’t “get.”

They are of the ilk who claim to “believe in Jesus,” but obviously they don’t believe Jesus.

      • grada3784

Would you believe in a guy who went around orchestrating the murder of guys named Steve?

    • cleos_mom

Not exactly ‘contemporaries’; the oldest books in the Greek Testament are some of Paul’s letters. And at that he didn’t write all the epistles that he’s historically been given credit for.

      • lymis

And Paul never met Jesus, either.

        • cleos_mom

And he doesn’t mention the resurrection or any post-crucifixion appearances Jesus made.

Gospel of Jesus Christ? Sorry, I must have missed that one, and so did the rest of the world. Jesus did not espouse anything in the Old Testament, and in fact he railed against it.

Here’s the deal, asshole. Unless you live by every rule in Leviticus, you must submit to your own stoning. You are condemning people with rules that you yourself do not follow.

And, I can see that you don’t as you are a clean shaven hypocrite. Lev 19:27 [KJV]
Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the
corners of thy beard. [NIV] Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or
clip off the edges of your beard.

Do you send your women to the menstrual hut? Eat shellfish? I’m straight so I won’t be in danger from your bullshit, but you better have your own fucking house clean. People like you have a tendency to be doing the most evil things behind closed door while pointing your nasty fingers at others. And, be warned, the LGBT community will not be standing alone. Bring it on you crazy motherfucker.

    • Herald

If he bothered to read, really read his own holy book he would find out he stands condemned too.

If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law
according to the Scripture, “You shall
love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. But if you show
partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as
transgressors. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point,
he has become guilty of all. For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not commit murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery,
but do commit murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. So speak and
so act as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty. For judgment
will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over
      judgment. James 2:8-13
But, since that is from James instead of Paul he probably feels he can ignore it just like he ignores everything Jesus reputedly said. BTW his reading of Paul is very self serving too – what a surprise.

      • Wynter Marie Starr

I’m sick of these assholes. I think at this point they must be confronted at every turn. I want to know how they are going to execute their plan. I want to hear about the laws they intend to sponsor and how they will deal with gay people and their allies in the real world. I know most of this is done so they can fleece the stupid and the scared, but it cannot be allowed to stand as such any more. He is free to say he doesn’t like gay people and doesn’t want to associate with them, but he is calling for violence. If I got up in front of an audience and advocated for the punishments as dictated in Leviticus for christians, I’d be arrested, bible or not and free speech or not. I now want to see this MF’s hand.

If I were a gay person, I truly don’t know how I’d be dealing with this shit. All I can do is stand up for the community and some days it just doesn’t feel like it’s enough.

        • Herald

I am the father of a gay son and 3 straight children, there are days I don’t deal with this kind of EVIL very well. So I support and love them totally, then go do what I can.

          • Wynter Marie Starr

Also, this “preacher” wouldn’t know Jesus if he appeared in his living room. He’s hate filled and has broken with his own faith. Jesus would pick up the first stone for this would be murderer. I agree with everything you’ve said and you said it much better than I could. It’s hard to write clearly when I’m so angry. And as much as I hate what this evil man has said, I still wouldn’t call for his death.

        • Bj Lincoln

They are calling for our deaths. We are calling for equality.
They demand discrimination. We demand equality.
They hate and lie. We tell the truth.
I think he should be arrested and charged with Hate Speech. He should be forced to see where he is worse than anything we have done. I think religion should be kept at home and in their place of worship. Not anywhere else including our government.
I am grateful you are on our side and I understand your frustrations with morons like him and his followers. The average American does not function past a 6th grade level making it easy for scam artists like him to work. Those of us who think and educate ourselves get angry because we feel inadequate in our struggle to educate others.
Be sure to treat yourself well today. Get outside if you can and let the wind whip away your tension. Find a warm fuzzy book or movie and favorite beverage and snuggle in the the day. We all need that now and then.
Thanks for all your love and energy my friend. 🙂

          • Wynter Marie Starr

Some days it’s difficult to remember that so many people are uneducated and think their religion makes discrimination and murder fine, Bj. Today is one of those days.

I think I’m going to grab a glass of wine and sit outside in the garden and make my family cook and serve me. I only wish that people like Swanson could be confronted with their hate. They add nothing to the world and are completely useless and worthless human beings.

Thank you for your kind words.

          • unfortunately, the solution is education, and not censorship. you don’t want people like me making laws. well, you do, but i know me. i’d go too far. i have a sort of anger in my heart that makes me want to punish, and not reform.

however, the compassionate impulse yall are talking about is in me, bred from my good education. i learned that people are Different. and it’s OK. and i’m not that mad, even when people act like morAns. i feel pity for them, and want to help the next generation, even more.

this is because i learned about the wisdom of the Wise. some of it is silly, some of it is religious and even more silly. some of it is simple golden rule. but once you understand that, it’s really hard to desire the death and suffering of others.

real education is expensive, and if it works right, helps all the children, not just the [x] ones. it improves society. if it is applied to women in large effort, it really makes society better, quickly. birth control is also good.

According to Paul, marriage equality and nondiscrimination ordinances are God’s law:

“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.”
        Romans 13:1-2

It never ceases to amaze me that people who profess to believe that they will be tortured for all eternity if they don’t follow the rules outlined in a specific book don’t bother to read it.

        • McSwagg

I get what you are trying to convey here, but this is one of the verses that Ted Cruz uses to declare that only god fearing chrustains are eligible to serve as POTUS. God did not decree the authority of the government of the USA. It was established as a secular authority by the will and in the name of the people by their duly elected representatives sitting in the Constitutional Convention.

      • McSwagg

James is a problem for the evangelicals because James basically says that if you are truly ‘saved’, your change of heart will be reflected in your behavior. The evangelicals twist this around and try to claim that James preaches ‘salvation’ through ‘acts of piety’. They refuse to see the log that is lodged in their own eye.

    • Bryan

Oh all he has to do is “repent” and bingo, straight up to heaven. Have fun in the afterlife.

      • Wynter Marie Starr

Funny how that works, yes? It’s a do whatever the hell you want and still get the virgins or planet or whatever. Written by amoral people to assure their subjects would still continue to line their pocket, and fill their beds and bellies. Grifters all, past and present who were able to tap in the surefire method to control other people…

        • cleos_mom

Of course, what the virgins did to merit a bad date lasting for eternity is never clear.

          • McSwagg

Since the virgins are viewed as chattel, their opinion is hardly of any merit. They’re not really ‘human’, after all.

(Sarcasm, in case someone doesn’t get it.)

          • Wynter Marie Starr

LOL. It would be nice if that was explained in detail.

Maybe it’s like how Santa can visit every child in 24 hours? Magic?

Can’t probe too deeply into these things, you know. If you do it all falls apart.

      • teeveedub

However, this bible-thumping bigot doesn’t extend the same “get-out-of-eternal-damnation-free” card to us:

” The discussion concerning the capital punishment for homosexuals is nothing. It’s not all that important when contrasted with hellfire forever.

He calls for homosexuals to repent. But he also calls for us to be executed. But that’s not enough punishment for us because in his next breath he apparently thinks the next step after execution is eternal hellfire.

That’s three separate levels of hatred.

        • Bryan

          But they’re “Paul’s words, not Kevin’s.”

  • Blake Jordan

He’ll be “taken care of” before we will, hopefully it will not have to come to that…

  • Steven B

One of the truly bad effects of religion is that it teaches
us that it is a virtue to be satisfied with not understanding. Richard Dawkins

If homosexuality is a sin then so is not treating your body like a temple. And ladies should have their head covered. And in Deuteronomy, a marriage
is only valid if the woman is a virgin, and she should be executed if she is
not… and anyone who commits adultery should be stoned to death. In Mark, a divorce is prohibited. I assume for homosexuality, you’re referring
to Leviticus 18:6: “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female. It is an abomination.” A similar verse occurs two chapters later, in Leviticus 20:13: “A man who sleeps with another man is an abomination and should be executed.” Leviticus is a holiness code written 3,000 years ago. It also includes prohibitions against round haircuts, tattoos, working on the Sabbath, wearing garments of mixed fabrics, eating pork or shellfish, getting your fortune told, and even playing with the skin of a pig (There goes football). And people who have flat
noses, or who are blind or lame, cannot go to an altar of God (Leviticus 21:17-18) I believe in morality, which is doing the right regardless of what I am told… not in religion, which is doing what I am told regardless of what is right. Pastor Swanson, you’re welcome to your own interpretation of the Bible, of course, but for me, I need more than “the Bible says so” to justify certain things in this world and certainly to judge them.

Leviticus 15:19-20 When a woman has a discharge of blood,
which is her regular discharge from her body, she shall be in her impurity for
seven days, and whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening

Leviticus 19:19 Don’t wear clothes made of more than one fabric

Leviticus 19:27 Don’t cut your hair nor shave.

Leviticus 20:9 Any person who curseth his mother or father must be killed.

Leviticus 20:10 If a man cheats on his wife, or vise versa, both the man and the woman must die.

Leviticus 21:17-18 People who have flat noses, or are blind or lame, cannot go to an altar of God.

Leviticus 11 includes many dietary restrictions including unclean meat such as pork, rabbit, camel, shellfish, birds of prey, bats, mice and various bird and lizard species.

Deuteronomy 13:12-15 If you find out a city worships a different god, destroy the city and kill all of its inhabitants… even the animals.

Deuteronomy 17:2-7 Kill anyone with a different religion.

1 Corinthians 3:2 You are not to combine milk with meat

Flat noses? Is that a thing?

      • Ragnar Lothbrok

Yes. It is caused by a certain sex act and is a big no no.

      • zhera

OMG! I googled ‘flat noses’ because it’s a new phrase for me. From what I can tell, I have a flat nose (bridge). So apparently I cannot ‘go to an altar of God’.

        Phew! Saved by genetics!

      • Steve Teeter

Blacks tend to have flatter noses than Whites, so there it is. The curse of Ham and all.

        • Todd20036

          MMMMmmmmm….. Ham!

      • Steven B

According the to Bible, it is.

  • Ed Burrow

Wait, hold on. We’ve been hearing about this repent thing for years (eons?). Just how long is the repent phase?!

    • oikos

      2000+ years and counting. Yawn.

  • 2karmanot

Well, isn’t that special! ppppffffttt ! NEXT!

And who’s going to do the Pastor’s judgmentin’ and executin’? Keep an eye on your neighborhood militia vigilante, my friends.

    • Friday

      Or yer local Republican candidates.

  • Ninja0980

How about you go fuck yourself first asshole?

  • Bill T.

Swanson must be reading the Dallas phonebook thinking it’s the Bible.

  • Ragnar Lothbrok

I don’t need to repent Pastor Psychopath; YOU do.
Your little bible death fantasy isn’t going to happen, but if even ONE single LGBT person is harmed due to your hate speech then Jail will be the least of your worries.

    • Steve Teeter

isn’t it typical that he advocates death for all homosexuals like me, but doesn’t have the balls to actually suggest putting his plan into action.

  • Friday

Christians: “I will proudly whine martyrdom about not going to jail for proudly denying responsibility for demanding the deaths of all who do not submit!”

  • JIM W

My Dear Pastor Swanson, I have no intention to repent for something that you think I qualify to be put to death. Here I am and if you think you’re big enough, then come on motherfucker.

  • Dreaming Vertebrate

    Typical coward.
Drop him in the middle of a leather biker bar and let him spout this nonsense.

    • William

Drop him in a dressing room filled with drag queens. It won’t be pretty.

      • Dreaming Vertebrate

        Even better!
I was trying to show him a little mercy.

  • MikeBx2

Where I lived in the South way back in 2004 just before the election, a Republican group sent out fliers in the mail that read, “Democrats want to legalize same sex marriage and ban the Bible”. Well, we’re half way there. 🙂

  • TheManicMechanic

Using his logic, I should be able to freely open fire on him for wearing that cheap suit made of blended fabrics. Word of gawd, people! Word. Of. Gawd.

  • Claude Jacques Bonhomme

Yup… and GOP presidential nomination candidates show up at his event, behind the Freedumb 2015 podium.

  • MikeBx2

Those like Swanson love to bravely (sarcasm) say they will go to jail for their beliefs. My question to them is are you willing to go if you would be forbidden to make a penny off fundraising from your “persecution” after you get out? The only characteristic these people harbor more than hate, is greed. Neither have anything to do with their “beliefs”.

  • Dan Robinson

So we repent and then they kill us?
Cracked pots will always leak. When the cracked pot is full of shit that’s what leaks out.

    • teeveedub

And then, after that, eternal hellfire.

Don’t expect logic from these brainless fucks.

  • Christophe

NO. We haven’t done anything “wrong,” but be our true selves and that’s not “illegal;” neither you nor those who “believe” like you have any authority to “judge” the successful redress of our grievances under the Constitution; and there’s no part of those things you cannot understand. So get hip – you lost your arguments, it’s time to grow up, get lives of your own and mind your own business instead. It’s SO simple.

  • Steverino

    Torquemada would be proud.

  • Blake J Butler

Bitch, taste the goddamn rainbows, because i am not going anywhere because some holy roller is going off the rails, screaming that gays are the problem with America, and are responsible for everything going wrong in America. (rolls eyes).

I’m sure these kinds of guys scream about family values, and how pro-family they are, when their mistress bangs them with a strap-on.

  • Secure

So they want us to repent, not be homosexual, and instead be in hetero relationships with their straight children. Got it. Christians – you 100% support all us ex-gays fucking your straight children? No? You just want us to be alone and rot until death? Screw your hokey religion, and screw your hokey presidential candidates too.

  • Ninja0980

And again, assholes like this show there is no difference between them and the Islamic extremists in the Middle East who want everyone to live under their religious beliefs or be killed.
The latter is simply doing what the former can only dream of doing.. for now.

  • Silver Badger

Words fail me. Civilized words fail me. You don’t defeat the enemy by becoming him.

  • ExGayTherapyKills

There was another little mad man named Hitler who called for the death of homosexuals. Nazis Germans who are mostly Christians followed his orders and murdered homosexuals in the death camps of Nazi Germany. America and Russian and their allies had to destroy Hitler and the Nazis because they wanted to take over the world for their beliefs. Thank God they were stopped.

    • When the camps were liberated many of the gay men were given a choice, jail or castration. None of the liberating armies treated gay men kindly, and its only been in the last few years accounts of gay men in the camps are being published.

    • skeptical_inquirer

I notice so many Christians try to claim Hitler was an atheist so they can wipe that off their hands of all that. I find that so damn sketchy on so many levels.

      • Steve Teeter

Correct. He was a Roman Catholic in good standing and had excellent relations with the Pope.

        • Todd20036

Yup. In fact, the then current pope endorsed Hitler for murdering Jews for killing Jesus.

  • Desmond Rutherford

Repent? I don’t think so. Hell is wherever the likes of Kevin Swanson exist, in this life or any other. Frankly, Hellfire and brimstone sounds like a new movie in virtual reality with stereophonic sound.

  • Yeah, but the Apostle Paul also condones slavery. His words, not mine. So screw him, and the horse he fell off of on the road to Damascus!

    Titus 2:9-10,15
Tell slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to talk back, not to pilfer, but to show complete and perfect fidelity, so that in everything they may be an ornament to the doctrine of God our Savior. … Declare these things; exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one
    look down on you.

    Ephesians 6:5-8
Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, in singleness of heart, as you obey Christ; not only while being watched, and in order to please them, but
as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart. Render service with enthusiasm, as to the Lord and not to men and women, knowing that whatever good we do, we will receive the same again from the Lord, whether we are slaves or free.

    Colossians 3:22-25
Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything, not only while being watched and in order to please them, but wholeheartedly, fearing the Lord. Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and notfor your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ. For the wrongdoer will be paid back for whatever wrong has been done, and there is no partiality.

    1 Timothy 6:1-5
Let all who are under the yoke of slavery regard their masters as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be blasphemed. Those who have believing masters must not be disrespectful to them on the ground that
they are members of the church; rather they must serve them all the more, since those who benefit by their service are believers and beloved. Teach and urge these duties. Whoever teaches otherwise and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that is in accordance with godliness, is conceited, understanding nothing, and has a morbid craving for controversy and for disputes about words. From these come envy, dissension, slander, base suspicions, and wrangling among those who are depraved in mind and bereft of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.

    • KnownDonorDad

I’m off to grab some Canadian concubines!

  • Delphini

Watch to the end of the video and you’ll see him state that divorced people should not be allowed to remarry…and then he takes it a step further and says that anyone who watches pornography is not “qualified to marry.” Seriously, someone needs to make this guy a clerk of courts! Let the public see the logical conclusion of “religious liberty” for government officials. “Sorry sir and ma’am, you may be straight, never divorced, and virgins, but your online history shows that you’re not qualified for a marriage license.” I also have no doubt that he would kill divorced and remarried people right along with gays if only he could get away with it. He states it’s not that different from being gay. Psychopathic traits and devotion to the bible are a bad combination.

    • secretlab

Actually, someone needs to medicate him. Maybe it’s time for the APA to add a DSM number for ‘violent religious based delusions’.

  • Delphini

This may have already been posted, but here’s Kevin fantasizing about gays putting him in prison. He does not say whether his fantasy includes some burly gay prison guards in tight uniforms.

  • James

If they truly believe this and they’re not ashamed of it, then why do so few of them ever explicitly call for people to murder us?

    • KnownDonorDad

Easy, they don’t really want to go to jail. It’s the essence of almost all cake martyrdom.

      • Steve Teeter

Right. They’re cowards with big mouths.

    • Gianni

I thought he did that so nicely and still sounded all authoritative and hell fire and brimstone. He must be getting a lot of flak about using the Bible to call for wholesale murder. For certain, he would never admit that, but I suspect it. He made the passionate point about his Bible quotes: “His words, not mine!” Well, you’re off the hook. Nicely played.

  • Natty Enquirer

Preachers are such a twisted stew of narcissism, insecurity, fear and hatred. Utterly fascinating to watch.

  • Does he believe that God wasn’t being literal? Was the demand for my execution ambiguous?

I don’t know how he can say he is a follower of God if he doesn’t call for me to be executed with all due haste. Sounds like a wishy-washy liberal if you ask me.

  • kiltedyak

*hands Kevin a shovel* Keep digging dude, you will find a way out of this some time.

I have said this so many times that I am practically tired of saying it. Own your shit. You fucking said it, own it. You can espouse religious freedom all you want, first amendment rights, but you are responsible for your words. Don’t blame it on a story book written by men who needed a way to control the masses. Nothing like the love of gawd to call for the death of your fellow humans. What a horrible, filthy, disgusting book the bible is and its followers.

  • Gianni

I am so grateful that he clarified his position. Yes, we still deserve death, but he’s giving us time to repent. I wonder how much time before the killing begins? He walked his words back fairly quickly and absolved himself at the same time. He’s only quoting the word of God from the Good Book; they aren’t his own words. However, did God or St. Paul ever say to hold off on the murders to give us abominable sinners time to repent? I don’t believe so, Kevin. Seems you’re making that part up to give yourself an out in case any accusations of calling for wholesale murder should arise among your less brazen followers. Is it possible that a few of them may just have a kernel of doubt about your biblical interpretations with respect to the American justice system? Hmmm……..
