Grandstanding GOP Rep. Jim Jordan Interrupts Planned Parenthood Head 19 Times In 5 Minutes [VIDEO]

The Washington Post sets up the clip:

Rep. Jim Jordan, one of the most conservative members of the House, used his time shouting at Richards because she admitted at one point that she had originally “apologized for the tone and statements” in the “sting” videos that started this controversy. Apparently Jordan imagined that in making this admission, she had fallen into a trap and would now have to admit that Planned Parenthood had committed some kind of misconduct. Watching his voice get louder and louder, it seemed as though Jordan was thinking, “I’ve really got her now.” But what did he actually prove? Nothing. Nor did any of the other Republicans. All seemed to have some very specific question they had prepared, one that was designed to produce a “gotcha” moment. But Richards didn’t have any trouble answering any of them, because the accusations that drove them aren’t all that controversial unless your starting point is that abortion is evil and so is anything in any way connected to it.

PREVIOUSLY ON JMG: In January 2011 Jordan vowed to cut 100% of all federal funding for the arts. That same month he promised to introduce a House bill to repeal same-sex marriage in Washington DC. In 2012 Jordan declared that if Mitt Romney were to win the White House, he would immediately press for the reinstatement of DADT.

  • Sam_Handwich

note that the hack who made the fake videos was not called to testify under oath

    • Sk3ptic

Yeah, I’ve been wondering when that was going to happen. C’mon, Dems!

      • Jeff

Because the Republicans hold a majority in the House, all committee heads are selected by the Republicans. The committee head picks who they bring in to testify. You think this is bad, just remember the job they did on Clinton.

    • Ed Burrow

So… All these videos that they keep referencing are in fact, fake?

      • Joseph Miceli

        Yep. Selectively edited and dubbed.

        • Xuuths

Even the transcription is in error.

        • I mean, did they really think nobody would watch the full videos? Though I guess they knew the people who they were trying to win over wouldn’t give a damn either way.

          • Jarle Tveitan

Didn’t the firm PP hired to investigate the videos find that the “full” videos were also edited? It’s pretty telling that the “full video” they released isn’t actually the full video…

          • Fuck’s sake. I hadn’t heard that, but I’m not at all surprised.

          • Joseph Miceli

It worked with Acorn. They did almost the exact, same thing. Acorn should be alive and working to register voters today. Conservatives are finding that, in this modern age, the tactics they’ve used over and over again are simply not working the way they used to. Nothing on the internet is forgotten.

          • bkb

Is is not working, though. The MO is to lie lie lie, and then when faced with facts, deny deny deny. It’s done purposefully and cynically and it’s pretty freaking evil (are we allowed to cuss on disqus?)

          • Joseph Miceli

            Cuss away!
            Fucking Republicans!

          • bkb

Fucking fuckers! Ahhh that felt good

          • Fuck yeah you are!

          • Well, we’ll see if the Acorn tactics work against PP. This isn’t over yet. Will the Democrats finally grow a spine. I’d like to be optimistic about that but experience has taught me not to be.

          • B Snow

And Shirley Sherrod. By the time the full video comes out, the damage is done. There should be lawsuits and heavy penalties for slander and attempted destruction of reputation, if that’s a thing. (If it’s not, it should be.)

        • clay

and the images not from PP abortions; one was from a miscarriage and the woman is pissed

          • Joseph Miceli

Didn’t know that…and what an invasion of privacy! That’s just obscene to politicize her tragedy!

          • Chucktech

If that’s true she can SUE the FUCK outta David Daleiden, the hack who shot the video for a gross invasion of her medical confidentiality.

          • clay

Since he didn’t identify her, she doesn’t have a HIPPA complaint.

          • Chucktech

            shit…

          • StraightGrandmother

I’m not positive but I think HIPPA constrains healthcare providers and insurance companies and also it might cover medical research. But I don’t think it can be used against someone not in those fields.

It’s the Republican MO, start arguing from a false premise and scream while pointing fingers at your opponent until the accusation sticks.

        • JW Swift

Because their target audience is already inclined to believe what they have to say, regardless of any facts the “lamestream” media might come up with.

    • b

The men on the committee are not the least bit worried or concerned with woman’s health. They just want to +++ them.

Well, sometimes women and their gay allies fight back.

    • D. J.

      Twitter time….

  • Pollos Hermanos

I’d love to hear Jordan mansplain to all of us about vaginas, boobs and abortions.

    • bzrd

Various birth control methods, breast cancer, cervical cancer and from barraks9, pap smears.

    • Oscarlating Wildely

No shit. Can you imagine the response if a group of Democrats who happen to also be women were to tell him what he could do with his own dick?

  • Ed Burrow

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this whole PP controversy blown WAY out of proportion? I’m freaking over it…

    • Gustav2

Yes. It is the same shit they always bring up and fail to defund.

      • Ed Burrow

The Conservadrones that I follow on Twitter are exploding over this entire commotion. It’s actually pretty entertaining. But I wasn’t totally sure if it’s all made up bullshit.

        • Todd20036

Think ACORN, but PP has the money to stand up to the bullies

        • BobSF_94117

Is there anything they get upset about that isn’t pure bullshit?

    • crewman

      It’s a smear campaign.

      • barracks9

Yes, but is it a pap smear campaign?

      • Jonathan

The elections are coming. We’re being fed the same bullshit, meaningless christian outrage and “persecution” because…gotta get those evangelitards to the polls. Vote Jesus!!

These people are so stupid they will still be arguing about perverts and abortion when their own children are starving and jobless.

        • Joseph Miceli

At least they are consistent. After all, children don’t matter. Fetuses matter! Once they are born they become sinners who deserve their lot in life.

        • Chuck in NYC

They’ve lost on gay marriage, so they’re casting around for other issues.

        Acorn, part two.

    • TommyTune

Just like Whitewater/Monica Lewinsky, Benghazi, server-gate and all the other trumped-up non scandals Republicans dream up to try to smear Democrats.

    • Yes. Yes it is. Same with BENGHAZI and the Clinton emails.

    • LeftyNYC

I had to read that twice. I get it now: you’re freaking OVER IT. (Meanwhile, Republicans are FREAKING over it.)

  • GayOldLady

    What a total asshole!!!!

    • Gustav2

      He is my in-laws’ rep.

      • Oh god. I hope they voted against him, otherwise, your poor husband.

        • Gustav2

Nope, the district doesn’t ever run a decent D. His sister is a Trump supporter. They all get Fox News out of the water tap. Seriously, that’s the only news they watch. His parents were D’s and two of his six siblings are D’s

All his high school friends voted for Rep Jordan…facebook is fun!

          • 🙁 :C

Poor thing. (And poor you. I hope you don’t have to deal with the in-laws much.)

          • Gustav2

They’ve good to us. We’ve been together for 30 years spending two weekend a month with his parents, later just his mother. We don’t see them much now that both parents are dead. They all call or he calls once a week.

Most of their kids do not remember a time when we were not together at grandma and grandpa’s, we had our own bedroom. lol so that is not an issue. And we have had the whole damn family here in Columbus for Christmas dinner a couple of times.

          • Well, that’s good then.

          • Gustav2

Some were really, really pissed they weren’t invited when we were married last July 3rd. But no one was, we just did it.

    • Bluto

I love it when “old” ladies curse.

  • Gustav2

Yes, America, he is that much of a jerk.

  • Rex

All republicans seem nasty and mean spirited and I’m including my ex in that statement.

    • Sam_Handwich

      omg, you dated a republican?

      i just could never…

      • Gustav2

Now, Sam, when I was young & cute in the 1970’s you would have dated me…then a Jerry Ford Republican.

        • TommyTune

Republicans weren’t half bad back then, and Gerald Ford seemed like a good and decent man, surely the last good and decent Republican president.

          • Circ09

Yeah, so decent he pardoned Nixon.

          • Gustav2

Ford was brought in to remove the stink.

          • bzrd

Speaking of Nixon, j.j. seems to think he’s on the Watergate hearings; what a maroon !

          • Octavio

The Watergate Hearings were civil. This congressional hearing is not. The Republicans haven’t been civil for 38 years.

          • bzrd

You, are correct, sir ! In no way was I implying this turd basket was close to being civilized since he seems to be crawling out of a cave.

          • Joseph Miceli

Reagan had his “speak no ill of a fellow Republican” mantra, but the one that can really be held accountable for that is Newt (fucking) Gingrich. I remember his instructions to other Republicans to make “liberal” and “democrat” into swear words. He was to blame for 70 percent of the present incivility we suffer now. I think Rove comes in for about 20 percent.

          • Chucktech

Ya know, this Jordan putz would die before he’d vote to continue federal money for PP, and I know this would really be beneath Cecile Richards, but wouldn’t it be delicious if she had just told Jordan to fuck off? He’s not the boss of her.

          • Dale

He really had no choice. A long, drawn out trial was the last thing we wanted after countless months of constant Watergate crap. By that time everyone just wanted the damned thing to be over.

          • LovesIrony

please don’t include me in this we thing, I think he should have been tried

          • BobSF_94117

The time to pardon is AFTER conviction. All Ford did was prevent the thorough exposure of ALL that happened.

          • TommyTune

The same was true of Obama’s decision not to launch a war crimes investigation of Bush/Cheney, et al. over the Iraq war.

          • BobSF_94117

That Nixon didn’t serve jail time has emboldened every GOP president since.

          • Chucktech

Why long and drawn out? We had the goods on him. On tape.

          • johncAtl

I think the choice was right. This was in the time when television consisted of CBS, NBC, ABC and PBS. And that was it. You couldn’t escape watching Watergate coverage. And that was immediately following years of coverage of Vietnam. The country was worn down at that point. Nixon was out of power and was disgraced as no other president in history had been. It was time to move on.

          • TommyTune

To quote Rick Perry, “Oops.” I’d forgotten about that.

          • Gustav2
          • johncAtl

He was indeed a decent man. He’s one of only four or five Republicans I’ve ever voted for. Other than Ford I’ve only voted for Republicans because the Democratic candidate was so bad.

          • Joseph Miceli

The last Republican I voted for was Reagan. It was my first time voting and my Dad was for Reagan.
That was the last time while I’m drawing breath that I will ever vote for a Republican.

          • Chuck in NYC

I voted for Ford — he and Howard Baker were decent men in the party at that time. But when it came around to Carter v. Reagan I voted for Anderson. Carter never got my vote, although I’d vote for him now.

          • BobSF_94117

Howard Baker has since proven himself to be an asshole, no?

          • Bob Conti

My first vote, and last Republican, was Ford.

          • I voted for a local Republican in the mayoral primaries here recently – the only candidate, including the ineffective Democratic incumbent, who was supporting a GLBT rights ordinance (among many other moderate positions and actually proposing to work with instead of against the City Council). Alas, he didn’t get to the general and so the choices were said ineffectual Democrat and the former Florida GOP chair. Sigh.

          • Oscarlating Wildely

Olympia Snowe: She was pretty decent. Of course, she was also a moderate Republican in New England, which made her a walking target and then, well, she’s a she. Her fate was sealed: she left office.

          • oikos

I have family in Maine. She was a MINO (Moderate in name only). She still voted with repugs the majority of the time.

          • Oscarlating Wildely

Ooops, then she’s likely awful, too. She can’t be as bad as this asshole though.

          • oikos

She is pretty awful which is why Angus King had no problem winning her vacated seat. Of course next to these fucksticks she seems reasonable.

          • Bob Conti

I grew up in a Republican household in Maine. Even my Fox News watching father (you should’ve heard the howls when I managed to get his DirectTV frozen on MSNBC. I let him stew for a bit before I reset the box) thinks that the current crop of nitwits have gone too far. Snowe has voten repug a lot. Same with Collins, although both pushed for gun control after Columbine. Doubtful Collins would do that in this current climate. Billy Cohen was probably the star of the Maine Republican Party, leading the charge during the Watergate hearings. He wouldn’t stand a chance in today’s Congress. Loved Angus King as a governor and now as a Senator.

          • AtticusP

Christ! Compared to these assholes, Robespierre would seem reasonable.

          • LovesIrony

and she gave them cover by saying she would be open to…blah blah blah and not being open at all and voting against everything she said she would consider.

          • TommyTune

She and her cohort Susan Collins were the last of a dying breed of now-extinct Northeastern Rockefeller Country Club Republicans who lived in places like Greenwich, Bar Harbor, Newport and Chevy Chase. Those people were always fairly intelligent, so naturally, like Lincoln Chafee, they all gravitated to the Democrats.

          • Not really. Other than DADT and a few other social issue votes, she votes the GOP party line and props up an extremist majority. There’s nothing decent about that.

          • Octavio

Point of fact: The Republicans looked around and mutually agreed that Gerald Ford was the ONLY Republican who couldn’t be found guilty of anything — that was a big field of Republicans — so, by default, he was chosen as Nixon’s replacement. It had nothing to do with him being a “good and decent” man. He just hadn’t committed any actionable crimes yet. 🙂

          • Ford was the Republican that could get through confirmation for Beep by the Democrats. People liked him for being a decent guy that you could work with. This was also an era in which there were still liberal Republicans and very conservative Democrats and almost nothing went on a straight party line vote. There were all sorts of coalitions in both houses on various issues. And it worked a hell of a lot better than it does now!

          • clay

            (Bob Dole)

          • I wonder how much of Ford’s decency was thanks to his wife. You may not be old enough to remember this but the 1976 GOP platform even called for passing the ERA! That was a completely different party.

          • johncAtl

I honestly believe he was decent. But there’s no doubt that Betty was. I don’t think either of them expected that they would live in the White House. I don’t think that it was even in their dreams.

          • I adored Betty Ford. She spoke her mind. It got her husband in a lot of trouble with conservatives in his own party but she never stopped. (She even did a cameo on the Mary Tyler Moore show!) She was not uptight or worried about offending the hypocrites. She was protective of her children (there were remarks about Susan wearing jeans! Whatever.). Susan once told a funny story about late in his term that her brother and the Rockefeller boys camped out in the Lincoln bedroom because it is supposed to be haunted (by Lincoln himself). About 3 am Betty snuck in the room wearing a sheet and scared the crap out of them. How can you not love someone like that. Also, she was diagnosed with breast cancer about a month before my mom was. For those too young to remember the 70s, cancer was a word only spoken in whispers at the time. However she faced her problems in private, Betty Ford put on a brave face in public. She survived. She also survived her addictions as well and helped a lot of other people in the process. And later she was one of the first to host fundraisers for AIDS (before it was even called AIDS). She was a great person. We could use someone that brave and human in the White House. I don’t think Michelle Obama dares to speak her mind so freely, and who can blame her, but it was refreshing at the time for those of us who weren’t closed minded hypocrites. I still hear older conservatives say horrible things about them. Again, only from narrow-minded hypocrites.

        • johncAtl

if all caps is shouting then is all lower case whispering?

i voted for ford over carter.

          • Gustav2

            i worked on the campaign

          • lymis

“i voted for ford over carter.”

And today, Ford would be considered a dangerous left-wing radical commie by a significant percentage of the Republican Party.

        • madknits

I have never voted for a Rethuglican. Ever. But I live in MA, so the assholes they run here aren’t worth voting for. I’m still shaking my head wondering how Mittsy Romney became out governor. I certainly didn’t vote for the son of a bitch.

          • Gustav2

I get killed for this, but Mitt’s dad wasn’t that bad and his mom was on the board for PP

    • You poor, poor man.

    • DaveW

But there is more to this. The texting, hash tagging, low discourse society we have built is ruining society. The teabag hers are a horrible manifestation of this in my opinion. We need a strong backlash of civil behavior everywhere. And yes I mean parents taking young kids to adult restaurants at 9 pm. It gets worse from there but the root is the same.

Just try driving properly, you are forced to be aggressive and rude just to hold your place.

      • JW Swift

My dad could be a bit like that. He believed that he always had such well thought-out opinions that anyone who disagreed with him HAD to be wrong. Fortunately he wasn’t over-the-top about it, but it did make life under his roof kinda’ difficult at times.

Edit: I eventually learned to avoid such discussions, and didn’t miss them, either.

        • Joseph Miceli

Which is EXACTLY what I do. My brother and my Dad are both in love with Donald Trump. I am not at all impressed with their intellectual heft at this point. At least my Dad has the excuse of age.

These questions were asked and answered plenty of times.

  • Here’s a link that explains that false and misleading graph that was entered.

    http://www.nationalmemo.com/house-republicans-attack-planned-parenthood-utterly-fail-at-basic-math/

  • WiscoJoe

What a farce. The Republicans have gone from making wild allegations about criminal behavior involving a vast conspiracy of black market organ brokers to now just whining that a Planned Parenthood employee used an impolite tone of voice and had a glass of wine while having a business lunch.

    • Chucktech

That’s what they’ve been reduced to.

  • tcinsf

He was a complete dick and clearly playing to his base. Congressional hearings are for the most part fiascos, there is no fact finding involved, just an opportunity for this kind of rubbish.

  • Octavio

Gosh. Classic example that before one can become a member of Congress you must first be a total flaming asshole. These teabangelical christains need to be weeded out ASAP, regardless of the pain or blood that may happen.

    • Joseph Miceli

“…before one can become a (Republican) member of Congress…”

…because I like Bernie Sanders and Al Franken.

      • Octavio

        yes

  • Remember when the Teaparty bullies interrupted town hall meetings and made asses of themselves? And for that they got elected. So here they are. Uncompromising, unreasonable, uncivil bullies. This is what Republicans voted for. Has it made government work any better? Has it made the Republican Party work any better? No. Quite the opposite. So what’s their solution? Shout louder, and bully harder, of course.

    • OUTinMinnesota

And now that the djinn has been set free to roam congress – it’s sadly amusing to watch republicans struggle to contain it.

Will they be able to trick those Teaparty bullies back into the bottle they came from? Or will the Teaparty bullies kill the republican party for being “RINO”?

      • canoebum

Actually, the Tea Party ethos is a cancer eating at the heart of the American body politic, much to its determent. As long as this continues, are nation will truly suffer from a lack of good governance, affecting the administration of justice, the economy, the environment and all our fundamental civil rights. The very institutions of government are at risk of failing, as we see Congress has failed already. We are at risk of becoming a failed state. The fair-minded and sane people of this country have a duty to vote if they want their country to survive much longer.

    • Chuck in NYC

I don’t know whether Jordan was in a fraternity or not, but if so he was likely one of the enforcer types who enjoyed making pledges suffer.

    • At this point trying to talk to the teabaggers is like negotiating with terrorists.

  • Circ09

I’m more disgusted with these assholes’ wives and those 2 blond bobble-heads sitting behind him.

  • WiscoJoe

Here’s what I’ve learned by watching this pony show:

-Planned Parenthood is guilty of not providing enough cancer screenings, which is why we need to stop funding cancer screenings at Planned Parenthood.

-Planned Parenthood killed Rep. Jason Chaffetz parents, because money that pays for screening and treating cancer at Planned Parenthood should have instead been used to screen and treat Chaffetz’s parents for cancer.

            🙂

          • JW Swift

            OK, I’ll jump in.

Not that particular one in the photo, simply because he’s not quite my type, but I’m not above a grudge-fuck. (Just between us, I have an entire fantasy concerning Paul Ryan, how I’d like to cut short that thick head of hair he’s obviously so proud of, maybe have him do some boot-licking or something else degrading, then screw the living shit out of him.)

          • Joseph Miceli

Sometimes angry sex is GOOD sex!!!

          • JW Swift

Only if you don’t give a shit about the other person. If I care about their feelings or their humanity in the least, I couldn’t go through with it, and it’s a pretty high bar to reach before I’d genuinely not care about someone else’s feelings. Hence, it would take someone as onerous as Paul Ryan but someone I also find physically attractive enough (like Paul Ryan) before I’d be able to perform a hate-fuck. But I have an idea that I could really let go and enjoy the hell out of the experience with him, and do things to him that I’d never consider doing to someone that I actually respect.

          • Joseph Miceli

I only did it once in my early 20’s and to someone that did something horrible. After it was over he asked breathlessly, “will you call me?” I said, ” I’ll think about it.”
If you are going to behave like sociopath, your 20’s is the time to do it!

        • Chucktech

          Yes.

          I know, I’m a whore…

        • Octavio

No. But I would set him up to get mugged in the street. 🙂

  • Todd20036

To be fair, most of the commenters at WaPo thought the tea naggers were full of it

They did not help themselves outside of their base

    • Jonathan

Their base is the largest voting bloc in the country and they know exactly who they’re talking to.

      • Cousin Bleh

The Tea Party? They’re a bunch of loud mouths but they ain’t the largest voting bloc in the country.

  • 2amor

    Total asshole…

    • Gustav2

And many, many in his congressional district are just like him 24/7.

  • 2amor

    • clay

(and then they bitch if the pope says climate change is an ethical issue)

      • JW Swift

And guess what? The pope actually does have a science background!

  • Rebecca Gardner

What a fucking dick head. This is just another GOP Witch Hunt! Fuck these people. I just cannot stand these idiots any more. She answered his question and he kept pushing and pushing hoping to get the answer HE wants to hear that will match the noise in his head.

    • Bryan

Or match the sweet whispers in his ear from Tony Perkins…

  • delk

Where is his suit coat? Why does he disrespect the office?

    • Gustav2

He is trying to show his rural Ohio district he had rolled up his sleeves to attack PP. He needed to because he is not in the running for speaker as they thought he might be.

      • Oscarlating Wildely

Unfortunately the rural stench of male cow manure has now enveloped every word that he says.

  • Oscarlating Wildely

    Dear Congressman,

You interrupting, misogynist fuck: I’d call you a piece of shit but that would be an insult to feces.

    Sincerely,
Anyone who gives a rat’s ass about discourse and civility in politics.

  • S1AMER

Republicans are generally too dumb to know how dumb they are.

  • joe ho

    lol.

the life begins at conception crowd has trouble with reality.

50 to 80% of fertilized eggs spontaneously abort.

that makes billions upon billions of microscopic unbaptized souls floating around in the beyond for the christers to beat their breasts over and for their jesus monster to mourn.

    they’re so full of crap.

    • Stev84

Even their precious Bible makes it very clear that it isn’t true

  • fuzzybits

    Making Ohio proud. Puke!

  • Mark

Can’t tell me that this one hasn’t been banging some strange around DC. He’s got that badger persona and Duggar fingers….and those ‘i’m sooooo fucking cute’ beady bedroom eyes. He be de manly man.

  • Ninja0980

This is the same asshole who talked about putting DADT back in place if Romney had won.

    • LovesIrony

this is bigotry and nothing but bigotry; What doomsday prediction has occurred to warrant booting trained military staff from serving? and why isn’t he asked this every fucking day?

  • Michael Abbett

Whoever the Democratic nominee is needs to put this on a loop. This kind of crap is not doing them any favors at all with women.

    • Circ09

They need to put it on a loop and run it now through all the States. Women are still doing plenty of favors for these type of men. That is the whole problem.

      • Ninja0980

Indeed, the reality is there is a strong belief that any woman who is getting an abortion is a slut who simply doesn’t want to take care of a baby when that is the furthest thing from the truth.

        • LovesIrony

that anti abortion hypocrite whose mistress somehow got pregnant:
          Rep.
Scott DesJarlais, R-Tenn., speaks in Spring Hill, Tenn. DesJarlais, a
freshman congressman running for re-election on an anti-abortion
platform, urged his pregnant mistress to get an abortion a decade ago,
according to a transcript of the recorded conversation. The transcript
is part of records about his 2001 divorce.

  • joe ho

2000 years of christians oppressing women and persecuting gays.

    the proud tradition continues.

  • Duh-David

“Mr. Representative would you like an answer, or would you like to make a speech?”

  • Gyeo

Why is PP even apologizing for someone else lying about them? What the ever loving fuck…

    • Gustav2

I was a generic statement about tone and appropriateness. A non-apology Rep Jordan was trying to use as a trap.

  • Stev84

Even anti-abortion freaks called that hearing a freak show:

    http://thinkprogress.org/health/2015/09/29/3706951/planned-parenthood-hearing-freak-show/

  • Baron Ochs

These people are actually demanding a government shutdown over Planned Parenthood. These people were actually elected by other humans.

    • clay

they want to micro-manage, when they can’t even manage.

  • EdmondWherever

Shut the hell up and take your shirt off.

    • bkb

      With all respect, ewwww

      • EdmondWherever

I assure you, I only intend to demean and objectify him as a function of his gender.

        • Octavio

Yeah, but you’re risking that cosmically your dick might fall of.

          • EdmondWherever

But that would be a hell of a sight!

    • Gustav2

      this is him at Wisconsin

      • Steven Leahy

        Doesn’t do much for me

        • Chucktech

I’d probably beat off with him in the shower…

          • Steven Leahy

            LOL go for it

      • tim870

Doesn’t he look like porn actor Johnny Rapid?

        • Gustav2

          I wouldn’t know.

  • Alan S. Lee

What an obnoxious asshole this Jim Jordan is!

  • Macbill

I hope his kids are just as bad as I was. He’ll know what true Hell is on earth.

    • WildwoodGuy

KENTUCKY: Whitley County Kentucky Clerk Has Resumed Issuing Marriage Licences – But Not To Same-Sex Couples

    http://www.thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/uncucumbered/whitley_county_clerk_has_resumed_issuing_marriage_licences_but_not_to_same_sex_couples

    • Circ09

Oh, goddess but these hillbillies are really starting to get on my tits. Enough already!

    • Steven Leahy

Damn, what a bitch – she tells the reporter “don’t stir this, please?” He can stir whatever he wants. And she can avoid having it “stirred” by doing her job and not accounting to the world she’ll only issue licenses to heterosexual couples. What exactly did she think was going to happen as a result of what she said?

      • Gustav2

Isn’t it terrible the mean reporter is causing all the problems?

        • zhera

How DEAR the reporters report factual news? How VERY DEAR they!

      • Bruno

She’s an idiot, no other way around it. It’s interesting that Mr. Casey from Casey is now allowing licenses, though the validity will be in question as they are with Mrs. Martyr.

    • Stev84

I wonder how many times she has been married

  • Steven Leahy

Well this won’t be popular here, but I’ll say it anyway.

The guy was a total dick and got worse as he went along, but to be fair she is the annoying type of person I’ve seen on all sides of the political spectrum who can’t or won’t answer questions directly and concisely.

    • Sam_Handwich

      she answered the question

it just wasn’t the answer he went fishing for. tough titties

      • Steven Leahy

She was evasive and injected all kinds of unnecessary wordy stammering and stuttering and was painful to listen to.

        • Sam_Handwich

watch the entire hearing and see what she was putting up with from every repuke on the panel

          • Steven Leahy

Well I don’t even think she should have apologized in the first place but since she did she could have quickly and clearly explained herself and she didn’t do a good job of it. But I’ll watch the whole thing.

I have seen the same thing when mostly male & the occasional female CEO testified before congress after the BP oil spill, the GM ignition issue, the financial crisis last decade, etc, and they often raised democrats’ ire, rightfully so, because of how they handled themselves.

Guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree.

          • Sam_Handwich

please keep in mind that this isn’t a bank crash or an oil spill

it’s about women’s health and reproductive freedom, and stems entirely from some fanatic’s heavily manipulated propaganda

wouldn’t you have loved to see HIM testify? it wasn’t allowed by the witch hunters

          • Steven Leahy

I know what it is and i agree he’s a piece of shit. I am not expressing support for his position or lack of support for hers. I am saying she did a crappy job of communicating. I am a supporter of planned parenthood and yeah I’d like to see a bunch of republicans in the hot seat over a whole bunch of issues.

    • Rambie

How could she answer when he kept interrupting her all the time?

  • Mike in Texas

I’m not sure how widely know this is. Cecile Richards is the daughter of Texas Governor Ann Richards.

    • 2amor

Wow, Good info. I had no idea.

    • Octavio

No wonder the Republican’t congressmen were so excited to beat up on her.

  • justmeeeee

I would NOT let him suck my cock. And I would not suck his.

    • Octavio

Finally, some one with a modicum of self respect! Thank you.

  • Tempus Fuggit

Rep. Jim Jordan, one of the most conservative members of the House

No, the right word, if we’re being polite, is reactionary.

    • lymis

      You misspelled “asshole.”

  • OZ_in_TX

And behold – THIS is what we get when progressives/Democrats sit on their hands and refuse to vote.

    • Gustav2

Ohio is sooooo gerrymandered you will have him for a long time.

    • My mother’s been driving me crazy about this. She insists she simply won’t vote if Hillary is the candidate. WTF?!

      • Circ09

I get this a lot from people in Texas too. They don’t like any of the Republicans running and they hate Hillary. So they are staying home. In Texas that may turn out to be an unexpected net bonus for Hillary if young people GOTV. But in States that are actually competitive, not so much.

  • perversatile

    this

  • dcurlee

She’s made it clear that the statements in the video should have never been seen they were false and misleading That’s the way I tookit. He’s an idiot

  • Nychta

Why did he even bother questioning Richards? He could have simply asked and answered all the questions himself.

  • Gigi

There’s no Repub was on women, huh?

  • Mark

Jeezus freakin’ christ – when can we get the adults in government instead of these damn kids?? My 5 yo great niece has more sense than this waste of oxygen.

  • Glen

Wow that guy is one first class douche-bag.

  • karen in kalifornia

    Ohio ohio. Ugh.

  • LonelyLiberal

I’ve seen few things that are more tasteless.

  • Grafxbear

What a dick! (Did I say that out loud?)

  • I’m sick of this side show. The Republicans are destroying the country and the Democrats are not much to be happy about either. We need a massive ousting of members of both houses never November.

  • txscotty39

They seem to have forgotten that she is the daughter of Ann Richards. Ann would be proud of her daughter!

  • Duane Dimitrov

It’s interesting that it took the conservative movement this long to say, “Fuck it! We don’t have anything on Planned Parenthood? Let’s just make a bunch of shit up.”

    • Kissmagrits

Or as a friend of mine so colorfully phrases it:
“If you’re going to pull your facts outa your ass, would you please wash
the poop off before presenting them?”

  • 2guysnamedjoe

As Mae West would’ve said to this Jordan guy: “Treat me like a lady, you worm!”

    • perversatile

or ” I wouldn’t fuck you with somebody elses dick -and another guy pushing”

  • Bill T.

That whole exchange could have been shut down with an emphatic “I don’t remember.”

  • Mark

OK. Somebody smack me. He’s totally fuckable – that is as long as it’s a two on one so somebody can keep him from interrupting so much…

    • BlueberriesForMe

According to his Wikipedia profile, he was a champion wrestler “back in the day”. Maybe he’ll put on a singlet for you.

    • Octavio

I’ll not only smack you, I’ll have your penis and balls cut off. Trust me. You’ll thank me.

      • Mark

mmmm….mmmmm.mmmm. You better stop—cuz I’m getting that tingly feeling all over again….

  • StraightGrandmother

Totally rude. If I were that woman I would have sat there ans simply not responded after being badgered the third or fourth time. I would not have gotten up and left I simply would have stayed calm and not responded. Maybe prefaced with, “This will be my final response to the repeated question.”

    • BlueberriesForMe

Or something like: “Are you going to continue to interrupt me? Because if you are, I’m not going to respond to any more of your ‘questions’. “

  • Not my favorite voice to hear on cspan.

  • Texndoc

Sometimes you forget who’s the public servant. It doesn’t matter what they’re arguing, since when does a member of Congress get to treat a witness like that? She needed an attorney next to her to tell the jerk to quit badgering her. Was their not a Democrat on the committee to do that?

  • This is why we shouldn’t try to be reasonable with these ultra conservatives. They’re too fucking stupid and too damn insane to care about truth or context.

  • Rebecca Gardner

Today’s Witch Hunt so pissed me off that I did what I could about it…

  • Octavio

A delicious moment did happen. When Mark Chavits (R-UT) confronted Richards with a bogus chart that supposedly showed the decrease in women’s health services compared to the increase in abortions performed by PP. Chavitz insisted that the chart was directly from PP’s annual report and challenged why she couldn’t explain it. Turns out that it was a chart faked by an anti abortion group (even said so on the bottom of the chart) and Richards had never seen it before that moment during the questioning. When a PP aid helped Richards identify the source she recommended that Chavits do better at verifying his sources. Chavits is noticeably embarrassed/pissed and couldn’t pass his microphone fast enough to the next congressmen to try and save face. Chavitz is one of the most heinous male fuck wads who thinks women are inferior and should only do what men tell them to do. Typical mormon.

  • Jim Jordan either sucks dick secretly or he hate-fucks hookers. Either way, this will become public knowledge eventually when someone talks. Normal people just don’t go off like he did unless they’re trying to hide something, and boy, oh boy, oh boy, he obviously is WAY overcompensating for something he wants to keep hidden.

  • Mathematical Precision.

    Jim Jordan Sex Scandal Videos unfolding in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…..
