Trump Caves, Will Attend Duggar Fest 2015

Two weeks ago hate group leader Tony Perkins furiously denounced Donald Trump for declining an invitation to speak at this weekend’s Values Voter Summit. Since then Trump has seen attacks from Talibangelicals, many of whom have openly questioned his faith. But today, Trump has caved. The FRC exults via press release:

Donald Trump will join seven other presidential candidates at this weekend’s 10th annual gathering of the Values Voter Summit, an event that draws thousands of grassroots activists to the nation’s capital. Trump is scheduled to speak late Friday morning. The confirmed presidential candidates include: Dr. Ben Carson, Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Lindsey Graham, Gov. Mike Huckabee, Gov. Bobby Jindal, Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. Rick Santorum, and Donald Trump.

“Those candidates coming to the Summit are showing that they value social conservative voters and want to have a conversation with them. We will encourage attendees to take the candidates’ presence into account as they cast their vote in the straw poll,” said Family Research Council President Tony Perkins.

Also, Sen. John McCain, Gov. Rick Perry, David and Jason Benham, Dr. Bill Bennett, Gov. Sam Brownback, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, Kentucky County Clerks Kim Davis and Casey Davis, Brigitte Gabriel, Rep. Louie Gohmert, bakers Aaron and Melissa Klein, Mark Levin, Rep. Mark Meadows, Lt. Col. Oliver North, Star Parker, Joel Rosenberg, and House Majority Whip Steve Scalise are among many other speakers to address attendees.
