BOMBSHELL: Kim Davis Was Knocked Up With Another Man’s Twins While Married To First Husband

We all knew that Kim Davis has been married four times, but this is some Maury Povich-level fuckery. US News & World Report has the bombshell revelation that she was knocked up with another man’s twins four months before her first divorce. They write:

The Kentucky county clerk facing potentially stiff penalties for refusing to issue same-sex marriage licenses has been married four times, raising questions of hypocrisy and selective application of the Bible to her life. The marriages are documented in court records obtained by U.S. News, which show that Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis divorced three times, first in 1994, then 2006 and again in 2008. She gave birth to twins five months after divorcing her first husband. They were fathered by her third husband but adopted by her second. Davis worked at the clerk’s office at the time of each divorce and has since remarried. Davis has described her desire to strictly adhere to the Bible in stark terms and thus far has shown no sign of bending to court orders on same-sex marriage. She said Tuesday she fears going to hell for violating “a central teaching” of the Bible if she complies with the orders.

Fathered by her third husband and adopted by her second. Even Maury’s head would spin. But according to Liberty Counsel president Mat Staver, Kim has since been washed in the blood of Jesus, so all is forgiven.

The leader of the organization providing her legal representation, Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel, says he’s not sure precisely how many husbands Davis has had, but that it’s not relevant. “I know she was married more than once – I’ve heard three [times],” he says. “It’s a matter of fact that she’s been married multiple times.” Staver says “it’s not really relevant, it’s something that happened in her past” and that her conversion to Christianity about four years ago wiped her slate clean. “It’s something that’s not relevant to the issue at hand,” he says. “She was 180 degrees changed.” In a Tuesday statement released by Liberty Counsel, Davis admitted she had lived an imperfect life, but insisted her current beliefs are sincere.

Fellow renegade clerk Casey Davis, who claims to be unrelated to Kim, is likewise dismissive.

“I don’t have any problem with that whatever, how she was before. If the Lord can forgive her, surely I can,” he says. “That’s something that’s forgivable just like any other sin, but if you continue in it and live in it, there’s a grave danger in that.” Casey Davis says he wasn’t personally aware Kim Davis had been divorced and that he has no desire to speak with her about that. “You know this, people will say everything and all this stuff, they want to bring the worst out in the best of people. Obviously it’s human nature. I don’t like it and no one should,” he says.

Jesus is the mystical magical cure for everything, including hypocrisy.

Everything that went inside that vile harpy before a few years ago when her mother-in-law died doesn’t count, remember?

    • Homo Erectus

      Which mother-in-law?

      • Bruno

The one that died. Or one of them that died, I don’t know.

  • Anastasia Beaverhousen

Okay. Is it April Fool’s Day? Just too much and too many things going on tonight. Going to pop more popcorn and pills.

From the Dept of “You can not make THIS shit up” : we present:
Kim “What number ‘husband’ was THAT?” Davis.

“I loved them all. Until I didn’t. And then I loved Jeebus moar. He told me to wear my hair this way. And steal a dog. And show continuous hate to icky gays. O! My Place in Heaven Is Now Assured! I would set myself on fire but
I’m already burning with luv 4 The Lard!”

      • I think a gallon of white vinegar might be just what Jesus would turn water into for her to take care of that burning…

      • MDB

But , God do NOT like ugly. Methinks she needs a genuine come-to-Jesus intervention before she goes Apostolic postal on innocent people.

    • Oscarlating Wildely

Vodka washes both of those down quite nicely. In fact, I’m having some right now. Cheers, Queers!

      • johncAtl

No vodka now. But I’m heading to New Orleans for Southern Decadence this weekend and I will raise many, many beers to salute Anastasia.

        • Anastasia Beaverhousen

Thanks poodle. God I miss the puddles of piss and vomit…. And I miss New Orleans too.

          • Joseph Miceli

Ha! I’m leaving town to get away from it! After your 30th beer/bear soaked public orgy….

          • johncAtl

Hmmmm….. I haven’t tried a beer soaked bear. Are they tasty?

        • Oscarlating Wildely

Thanks, Sweetie! Vodka, gin. You know, life’s short; I like to go both ways.
Oh, and I’m cool with vodka or gin, too.

          • Joseph Miceli

Did you know that if you add a little more simple syrup and a little more Cointreau you can make a sidecar into a frozen drink? I’m having a sidecar a slushy by the pool!!!

The only thing that could make that better is if they had been Mat Staver’s twins.

Kathy Bates on FX in American Horror Story: Kim Davis’s Bedroom?

This has become unbelievable. They’ve picked one hell of a martyr.

    • Oscarlating Wildely

Prejean is looking like the poster child celebre more and more these days.

    • another_steve

I hate it when I’m looks-phobic… but the theofascists have picked a terrible looking martyr here.

If they picked, say, Aidan Turner to be their martyr, I would have signed up.

We call them “Bingo Wings” around here.

        • Schlukitz

I am not suggesting that anyone do this, but there is something about the mean set of her lips and jaw that gives rise to an irresistable urge to smack her in the chops. LOL

  • Sashineb

That’s why she is acting the way she acts now. She’s trying to work as hard as she can to shed any reminders of her past. She knows things will come up from the past, but if she acts like she’s holy, then she hopes it makes it look like Jeebiz is on her side more than ever. Just imagine what JOSH DUGGAR (THE ASHLEY MADISON XIAN) will be like if he ever gets out of rehab, or if he’s ever heard of again.

  • Mike C

“Casey Davis, who claims to be unrelated to Kim”. Can we be so sure of that now?

    • Bruno

Can we be sure they were never married at some point?

    • Anastasia Beaverhousen

My sister, my mother, my sister, my mother.

      • Oscarlating Wildely

Cause my daddy’s my uncle and my sister’s my aunt.

            Kind of inevitable, ain’t it?

Perfectly legal intergenerational marriages between consenting adults can lead to a pretty tangled family tree; no incest needed! That’s what the song is describing.

I prefer this video of Ray Stevens’ song, without the gratuitous “disgusting hillbilly” caricatures, and with a diagram of the relationships: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYlJH81dSiw

          • Christopher

            Well, there’s already precedent…

        • johncAtl

Family trees don’t branch much in Kentucky.

        Ah, a classic:

        • Six Pins Delores

Ummm, thanks for the warning JCF. Geezuss!

          • JCF

Yeah, I’d (conveniently?) forgotten that part of the scene (I wonder if they would have edited that differently if made today). Still, for women in a “daughter, sister” mode of existence, violence from the men in their life probably would be utterly normal.

        • CottonBlimp

That movie is fantastic, but the almost celebrated violence towards women (like the cheating wife with the black eye) can get almost nauseating.

    • genuin truth

I think he’s both her son and her brother.

This has nothing to do with her “strongly held religious beliefs.” Rather, it has everything to do with her strongly held bigotry. If she followed the BuyBull her personal life would be so much different. Just another Liar For Christ

    • grada3784

She’s trying to make up for the extensive damage she’s done and is still doing.

No, she is not. She’s trying to punish other people for the damage she’s done.

How would you know her intentions? Sounds like your the one with the issue

          • dukeofhurl

            Hi, Kim. Also, “you’re.”

          • Arnie Kappeler

I have no freakin’ idea what “your the one with the issue” even means. Get past the fourth grade, and try again.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

        • ron

          sodomite shut up

          • Leesa Nixon

You are behaving like an immature child! For the record, the Sodomites were condemned for their lack of hospitality to strangers…not for having sex with the same sex. I love how christian’s cling to the most horrible stories to back up there belief’s. In the story of Sodom and Gommorah, Lot offers the crowd outside his house his daughters to raped!!! (you know the ones he later had sex with while he was drunk!) Great role model! Actually, when looking at the “heroes” of the bible, I guess it is easy to see why you all are so screwed up!

          • Helen Damnation

I tell people all the time, “It was about hospitality!” but does anyone listen? NO! Thanks for pointing this out. Again.

          • Jonjon

I am really surprised you got up off your sister long enough to type this…….

And a whore for “Liberty” “Counsel”.

        • Anthony DiMartini

she is perfect for them and the politicians running a religious campaign. The other clerks quit, the male davis says stupid things like i’ll die to protect freedom. Kim here is the perfect set up to become a martyr they can use to push their religious, we must control everything, agenda

If you believe everything you see on the Internet, your an idiot !!

          • MaxVoltz

You must be old. Today’s generation is hooked on fonix!

          • madcapfeline

Well, what passes for rock n’ roll on the radio these days sucks like a $2 hooker, so yeah, I probably am old. That doesn’t mean people who don’t know the difference between ‘your’ and ‘you’re’ aren’t completely stupid.

          • Dr Tom

            $2? Where?

          • cbodi

No, but I’m smart enough to watch my sentence structure. Double negatives???? Go back to school!

          • madcapfeline

Actually, I’m currently in school. One of the things I’ve learned is that there is a type of double negative that is grammatically correct, in which two (or more) negatives are used in a single sentence or clause to express a positive idea rather than a negative one. This type of double negative is known as litotes. It creates a nuance of meaning in a statement that otherwise wouldn’t have been present. But anyone who uses four consecutive punctuation marks probably wouldn’t understand something as subtle as nuance.

          • Anthony DiMartini

well every person is welcome to an opinion so you can have yours Larry. When i see a story i check multiple sources for discrepancies and fact check to verify to the best anyone can. Now if you can not say anything constructive, without calling a person childish names feel free to remain quiet. Seeing from your other comments you are in the holier then crowd as this woman so really your opinions mean little to me.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Anthony, you may voice your opinion as you are entitled to it. But my problem is you and your liberal buddies want to judge this woman when you don’t know here heart. She was saved from her sins, but I’m sure you wouldn’t understand that since you don’t back her. So keep spreading your deceit and hate you are not a true American if you can’t see the issue with the government telling a citizen that they don’t have the right to the 1st and 14th amendments of the Constitution because she is a christian. God Bless

          • Anthony DiMartini

I will try to respond politely to you though admittedly your words try patience since you attack me directly. I honestly find it ridiculous when a person can say to anyone you are not a true American because you don’t have the same beliefs i do.
I am aware of your doctrine and the born again’s sins washed away concept, i do not follow your beliefs so i am not required to pretend they never happened. I am concerned only with her actions today. My opinion of hippocracy is justified as stated since i do not follow your forgiveness policy. Also your scriptures in Romans even commands her follow the law so i can say she is still committing sin. I have stated publicly in other forums i have respect for the clerks that did quit, even if my opinions differed from them.
As for the 1st amendment, Kim Davis has all the same religious rights anyone else does, the government will not interfere between her relation and God or how she worships, worship is between her and god, not her and people coming in to her office. However the 1st also protects people from religious persecution. Reynolds v. United States (1878) “that it is time enough for the rightful purposes of civil government for
its officers to interfere [only] when [religious] principles break out
into overt acts against peace and good order” Refusing to let anyone marry in the Rowan courthouse would constitute overt acts if religious nature is the cause against peace and good order. I also know the 14th, its purpose was to guarantee equal rights to all american citizens. SCOTUS ruled that the governments civil unions are part of those rights and that LGBT’s may take part in it. So once again her claim of religious beliefs is interfering with people exercising their rights.
I do not try to speak deceit, i speak with facts and truth. Even if the truth is something i do not like personally. blessed be

          • James C. Dowdell

The Bible does say abide by the laws of your land I don’t think he would condemn her for the issue of a piece of paper that says they can be married any marriage other than between a man and woman w

WE MUST OBEY GOD RATHER THAN MAN. – Acts 5:29

            Silence, woman. 1st Corinthians 14:34

          • Vickie Seal

This lady is following the laws of Kentucky. The people of Kentucky voted on this issue and made it the law. Marriage is between a man and a woman. We call what the SC gave only their opinion. Only Congress can make and enact a law. To my knowledge Congress has not made this a law. The lgbt ask for tolerance but they seem to seek out targets to try and destroy. How can you tolerate those types of people.

          • Anthony DiMartini

allow me to explain a simple thing to you. If Something is judged by the supreme court as being unconstitutional because it violates a citizens rights, then that nullifies state laws that are thus unconstitutional. Is that hard to understand? Should each state have been allowed to decide if segregation should have ended?

Sorry you feel that the government is not giving you what you want, but the people that claim everything is a sin do not control this country. What the SC did is more then an opinion regardless of what you want to think, and this woman has found out there are consequences to that.

          • Jason Smith

Yeah let me explain something to you. All federal court rulings on gay rights, gay marriage or any other matter concerning sexuality or marriage are actually unconstitutional. Neither the Constitution or the Bill of Rights were passed to protect anyone’s right to sleep with or marry anyone. The Constitution does not condone or forbid homosexuality and the Bill of Rights was written to address political freedom for the people and to set limits of power for a federal government. In fact, it does not discuss issues concerned with morality, therefore all Supreme Court rulings on gay rights, gay marriage or any other matter concerning sexuality are unconstitutional and illegal. People keep forgetting that the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are political documents, not moral ones.

The Constitution does not discuss issues relating to morality and the right to marry whoever one chooses, like robbery or personal drug possession, are all moral issues which the federal government has no legal right to pass laws on. Moral issues are covered by ones conscience, religious beliefs and the laws passed by local or state communities so as moral values change so are the laws changed but it’s only by the people at the community, county and state level that are intended to handle changes to any laws addressing morality.

But you know what, it’s more than gay rights, it’s society’s open and blatant attack on Christianity. Why is it every time a Christian stands up for their religious rights liberals everywhere loose their minds but we have Muslims doing the same thing and we hear nothing from the pundits? How about the fact that in the US we have schools that are gender segregating their students to accommodate the influx of male Muslim students who are taught that men are superior and that women are treated like second class citizens, why are you not commenting about that? And what’s even more astonishing is that the United States was founded and based upon Christian principles and Christianity is ingrained in everything that is American but it only took one president, the first in history, to claim that the US was not a Christian nation for that to change and it to become so despite the many before him who claimed it is.

Now I’m expecting to hear back from you since you have so much to say regardless of how wrong you are but before you do you should know that I in no way, shape or form identify as being a Christian, but facts are facts. And I know liberals don’t put a heavy weight on facts but there is no denying it and I’d be more than happy to school you on that as well. Just let me know.

          • Anthony DiMartini

actually you are not worth the time for a lengthy reply, your constant use of the words christian and morals, the comments saying why dont you blame muslims, america is founded on christian principles and gays have no rights because anything done is against the constitution. For one that does not identify as christian you sure sound enough like a conservative; And i have had my fill of hearing the same thing over and over. have a good day.

          • Jason Smith

In other words you have absolutely nothing to dispute anything I’ve said and it’s just easier to brush me off than admit you’re talking out of your @$$. Its ok dude I’m experienced in arguing with liberals and get the same response every time. You know I have to tell you that it really warms my heart to see the mentally challenged such as yourself take an interest in political topics especially one so close to home for you. And despite the fact that pretty well everything you’ve said on here up till now has been absolutely ludicrous and a complete contradiction of the way the world works I just want to say “You f cking go girl!!! Now how about we get you a juice box, some animal cookies throw on some cartoons and you let the adults talk, or come back to me when you have a legitimate argument there smart guy.

          • Anthony DiMartini

actually, after seeing the sheer hippocracy that has spewed out of your mouth, not to mention the inability to act like an adult, repeated by you and other people here. I decided that its a waste of time to deal with selfish conservative fools who think everything is illegal and a violation of religious rights when they don’t get what they want. Pretending you are experts in laws and legal documents more then anyone else, the people who argued before the supreme court as well, with an opposing view.
To put it bluntly, since you do not have the IQ to act like a person with manners, you are not worth the time if you think the way you do. Oh and for the record you condescending piece of feces, i worked with retarded people for many years, both professionally and volunteer work and they are better people then you could ever hope to be. With a better understanding and respect for people then a good “moral” person could ever hope for.
now have a nice day, blessed be.

          • Anthony DiMartini

oh and since i had to repeat myself a second time just now, that you are not worth it. yet you still attack me with insults…says more about your superior person.

          • Autismmomx4

No, you are just too stupid for words. You don’t understand even the most basic fundamentals of our government.

          • Jason Smith

Explain, where did I go wrong?

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Jason, I couldn’t have said it better myself. I want to add something’s that get missed about our nation. The revolution happened because of several things the King wanted to control or take from the colonials. The Lords of each city was to collect taxes and rule as a supreme leader without the say of the people. Another issue the King imposed that colonials had to convert to Catholic or face death. The Lords would hang colonials at the gates of the cities if they didn’t convert. This was the final straw and the reason why the Mason’s a religious group decided to form a more perfect union. That union was the United States of America and the Bill of Rights protects all the things that were taken away from the colonials. I could go on but know need to. Also a democracy allows the government to control every aspect of society but the U.S. is not a democracy it is a Republic owned and ran by the people and for the people. Have a great day.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Anthony, But there isn’t a federal law stating states have to provide marriage license. So your point is what exactly? All the supreme court said was that states could not deny the right of a same sex couple of marrying. In this case they weren’t they are just asking for a reasonable accommodation since the law protects Kim and the gays. Did you know that the Kentucky legislators have presented a bill before their recess to make an accommodation for those protected by their religious freedom? Probably not because you want hear that on your liberal media outlets. Also she will be released and she will be reelected once this is all said and done.

          • Thom*

            Unlawful consequences.

          • Jackie Brush

There is no federal law allowing same sex marriage. The Supreme Court cannot make law, they can only rule if something is constitutional or not. You are exactly right about their hypocrisy when it comes to tolerance. He is what the clerk has had to deal with “The clerk has received death threats because of her stand. “They told my husband they were going to burn us down while we slept in our home,” she said. “He’s been told that he would be beaten up and tied up and made to watch them rape me. I have been told that gays should kill me.”

          • Burkay Ozturk

The Supreme Court can not just nullify unconstitutional laws but also declare actions of public offices as unconstitutional. In its decision on the matter this summer, the Supreme Court did just that: It declared that refusal to issue marriage certificates based on sex is a violation of the 5th and 14th Amendments of the US constitution.

But let’s take your logic. You are agreeing that the US Supreme Court struckdown Kentucky’s same-sex marriage ban. So, there is no law that justifies Davis’s behavior. Then, Davis has no basis for denying those people other than her religious conviction. So, as a public official, she is imposing her religious belief as the law of the land. That certainly isn’t right.

          • Burkay Ozturk

But Kentucky is part of the Union and the constitution of the US prevents public officials of the States from discriminating against people the way Davis discriminates.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Burkay Ozturk, The Constitution protects anyone from being discriminated against even the clerk. Homosexuals don’t have anymore rights then you and I do nor Kim. So the fundamental issue here is to make accommodations for those that may have their religious freedoms infringed upon. Also about Kentucky being apart of the union. What does it say? The United States of America not America with States. The state rights have been taking away for years but from the beginning they were more powerful then the Federal gov. because the states represent the people. My question is how in 2002 when Kentucky voted on gay marriage that 70% of the people (which is America) disapproved? See the supreme court can’t override the people only unconstitutional laws that aren’t voted on by the people.

          • Autismmomx4

            Kim refused an accommodation.

          • Autismmomx4

You are seriously stupid. The Supreme Court rules in the constitutionality of laws. No state nor Congress can make an unconstitutional law. if a law is unconstitutional, then the law is invalid and will not, and cannot, be enforce. Kentucky’s law is unconstitutional, hence unenforceable.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Anthony DiMartini, I’m glad you do know a little bit about the Constitution and quoted a court case. But what you missed in the 14th amendment that no one can be discriminated against in the work place and it didn’t exclude if you work for the government. The problem with others that have resigned because of their convictions and you agree with that is troubling to me. Why should anyone have to quite working for the people because people want them to conform to their way of life. Also, if you can actually give me a law that was passed forcing states to give same sex couples marriage license I would love to read it. I know there isn’t any such law. The supreme court ruled that no state could deny the right of a same sex couple to have the same benefits under law and that it was unconstitutional to deny same sex couples the right to marry. However, there is a problem the supreme court can’t write laws so therefore there isn’t a law telling states they have to give out marriage license. Article lll Section 1 and 2 you will see the powers of the Judical branch and no where in there does it say they have the right to re write or write a law. So your point and idea is wrong. Plus you are wrong on the scripture in Romans it does tell man to follow the laws of the land if it is not contrary to the word of God. See liberals like yourself like to judge and complain and force others to do what your will is and how you think things should be. Well I have news the Constitution is the supreme law and I find it very easy to interpret and I know Kim is protected under the law more so then the gays because the constitution mentions religion several times in several areas but sexual orientation is only mentioned once in the 14th amendment and used in with the same provision that protects Kim Davis and that’s the work place provision. Sorry you don’t believe in God but that’s why America has so much wrong with it. I was not saying you weren’t an American because you don’t believe in God. I said you aren’t American if you don’t know the Constitution and up hold its protections in this case. Sorry for the confusion on that.

          • Burkay Ozturk

You don’t understand what the 1st and 14th Amendments say. In fact, they say that you can’t be a court clerk and do what Davis does, because that’s using a government office to impose Davis’s religion on those who do not share that religion.

Davis is free to believe what she wants. She can even preach it. And the government should not discriminate against Davis because of her religious beliefs. But if because of her religious beliefs, she is not able to apply the law, then she is disqualified from her office.

If a doctor says, “I can’t treat you because you are gay”, that doctor is failing to do her job. He should get fired, and go to prison if anyone is hurt as a result.

          • scooter

You might want to go re-read the 1st.

          • JamesDDean

Your argument is flawed because Davis is not imposing her religion on anyone. That simple fact is a federal jurist is forcing her to go against her beliefs at gunpoint. He is violating her 1st. Amendment rights and 5th., 6th., and possibly 8th. Amendment rights. The simple fact is her state government position is an elected position, not an appointed of civil service position, and there were 117 other offices these individuals could go to get a marriage certificate.

          • Burkay Ozturk

No, the federal jurist is forcing her to do essential parts of her job or quit. If she doesn’t wanna do it because of a religious reason, she is welcome to be a conscientious objector. Think about how conscientious objection works with military personnel, who are also public officials. Can you be an army sergeant and yet have a religious opposition to killing people? No. That’s not protected by the 1st Amendment. The sergeant should either quit, or go to prison for disobeying orders. That’s what’s happening to her.

As for your 8th amendment claim, there is nothing unusual about sending people to prison for obstruction of justice and contempt of court. You might think it is cruel. I agree. This is not the army. She shouldn’t be sent to prison. She should simply be impeached.

As for your “they could go to anywhere else” point. The rule of law entails consistency. The legal system should be applied uniformly as much as possible, without arbitrary differences and exemptions. Suppose I go to my DMV and they tell me that it is against their moral beliefs to issue a DL to an immigrant. They say, “no worry though, you can drive to San Antonio!” Maybe I can. Maybe they will issue a DL to me in San Antonio. But maybe I can’t or I will find the same attitude over there as well. This is why, public officials cannot just pull out the “religious belief” card. Otherwise, we can’t maintain the rule of law, all public offices will spiral into a mess of arbitrary treatments, unpredictable caprices and whims of people who don’t even have to justify their beliefs.

So, if a public official can’t perform her job, she must quit or be fired.

          • JamesDDean

She can’t be “fired” in the traditional term. She is an elected official. She would have to a) resign or b) be impeached. She said she would not resigned; therefore, that leaves the latter. This is Kentucky which isn’t a “blue” state by any stretch of the imagination. Impeachment may not be the panacea that you seek.

There are no bases for conscientious objection. People are no longer “drafted” or conscripted into the US military. They must volunteer or not serve. That analogy is farfetched at best in that you created a false dilemma.

The jurist can hold her for contempt of court; however, that’s a monetary fine and it must be reasonable. Obstruction of justice is a crime. The judge cannot throw her in prison without a trial unless she cannot make bail or is a flight risk. This certainly is not a “capital” case. In my opinion it violates her 8th. Amendment rights.

Your DMV argument is faulty. The DMV cannot deny you a driver’s license because you are an immigrant unless you are here illegally. Morality doesn’t come into play. DMV workers are not elected officials.

BTW, this is not a law it is an opinion by a caterpillar wearing a black robe, sitting on a toadstool, and toking on a hookah pipe. My apologies to the late Lewis Carroll.

your use of the English language shows that you’re in idiot too

          • Brenda Mapp

And what do you think the black lives matter or the black panthers are pushing Right ? their agenda for what they believe . Just as you push for what you believe ,she has that right too Like I said before judge not least you be judged

          • Anthony DiMartini

Sorry but you wont be putting words in my mouth. If black panthers, or black lives matter break a law i would expect the same consequence. Everyone’s agenda is based on their beliefs, but there is a proper way and a wrong way to go about using them. No one, myself included, has said she must give up her beliefs. The ones saying that are her defense team and people saying that a court ruling, and job description/position does not apply if you don’t want it to because of your religion.
if people judge me, then i expect them to treat me with neutral impartiality that i would show them.

          • Brenda Mapp

Excuse me but you want people to judge you with neutral impartiality. Are you one of these who judge just because you heard.? Do you know who this woman is or do you judge her because someone told you about her?. Look in your own closet and see what you can come up with .I’m sure you made a few mistakes in your life . Do you want people to judge you on them or would you want to be forgiven for them and be able to go on with your life ?. She doesn’t need your forgiveness, or anyone else. All she has to do is ask GOD .

          • Aldo InSf

Brenda, stop the nonsense and please consider that religion is a personal matter. Don’t impose it on someone else. If you want to pray god…sure go for it, but when it comes to interact with the public in your work….give it up or quit your job. That simple! What again….

          • Burkay Ozturk

God is not available for comments. So we have to make decisions based on law. She violates the law as a public official. So, she should be removed from her post. If God is opposed to that, he can stop us whenever he wants.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Burkay, God doesn’t have to prove anything to you and she can’t be removed by anyone but the voters in that community and 75% love her. Figures comments like yours is just like a liberal dumb and stupid.

          • Saipan Haole

But Black Lives Matter aren’t refusing to follow the law and they aren’t a religious organization….

          • Vickie Seal

BLM do not follow laws. They protest without proper permits, call for the murder of those who protect them while illegally stopping traffic to scream words to incite idiots to do their work for them. No they are not a religious group. They need to be called what they are, a hate group calling for violence.

          • scooter

Actually, they violate the law just about every time someone in their group picks up a microphone.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Black Lives Matter are not following the laws because they are rioting with the others. I guess looting and rioting are ok. And don’t forget again religious freedom is protected even at a government job. The constitution doesn’t say you lose your rights just because you work for the government. Come on that’s even ridiculous for you.

          • Brenda Mapp

She has every right to push her religion . and just what is your religion . Judgeing everyone ? If people would just listen to some of the stupid comments they put on here maybe they would see how stupid some of them sound .If she is a child of GOD she can push her belief just as if you don’t believe you can push yours . Christians are not trying to push their agenda they are trying to get you to consider that there is a price to pay if you don’t do as GOD has said and they are only worried for your soul

          • Anthony DiMartini

That you keep bringing up god really makes it pointless to have a legitimate conversation or debate with you Brenda. I really dont have the time to waste with a person who thinks this is about beliefs, or only one side judging, or claiming modern american christians dont have an agenda in this country, which is laughable since i can name so many examples proving you wrong. I have made my stance, defended it with logical responses. So if you want to keep talking about God feel free to do it with someone else.

          • Saipan Haole

No one has the RIGHT to push THEIR religion on anyone else- keep your religious views to yourself and practice them on your own. Don’t force other people to adhere to your version of religion…

          • Brenda Mapp

I never said you had to conform , I am saying you have no right to judge anyone for anything . She may have made a mistake in her past but she ask for forgiveness and God is quick to forgive if you ask. Not like all these people who keep bringing up her mistakes . Yes she has a right to her believes and if she feels it goes against her faith then she has that right . Just as you seem to think you have a right to judge her, except for one thing .Its not your place to judge anyone only God does and I’m sure he needs no help from you or anyone else I am not forcing anything on you as for as a person I don’t really care what you or anyone else thinks or if you adhere to my believes but as a Christian and a child of God it is my duty to tell you about God and the choice is yours . I have done what is expected from me .Now the choice is up to you

          • Saipan Haole

Not JUDGING HER. She is breaking the law-pure and simple-All I’m saying is you can’t bring your religious views to your GOVERNMENT job

          • tjacampbell

Southern America is so ripe for Islam. It removes the need for thought, it provides for law based on the Holy Book, and it decrees mass worship. How much better could it be for the priesthood?

          • FlCracker2

Rather a broad statement there in reference to topography. If that incorporates The Keys and or South Beach you would be dead wrong.

Yes, the south wants sharia law, christian sharia but sharia none the less. The south has the highest out of wedlock pregnancy rates, the highest divorce rates, the highest welfare rates and the highest poverty rates. • Nic Peterson

Yeah, ironically one of them was nick named Scooter. A good old boy with a heart of gold. Class act.

            Why do you ask?

          • Saipan Haole

I don’t see a hatred of Christianity here- I see the refusal to accept someone forcing their religion down everyone’s else’s throats and refusing to accept that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and the Christians are getting slammed because they refuse to see it any way other except their own. I can imagine if Jesus where here right now, he would be disgusted by the so-called Christian Right and the easy way they just condemn anyone who doesn’t support their views…

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Saipan, if Jesus were here the United States would have been destroyed long ago for their abominations. And Jesus would have done the same thing and not gave in to evil. Kim is a disciple for Jesus and will be rewarded one day. Thanks for mentioning Jesus I just hope you know him.

          • Shane Brooks

And he and Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin would reap horrors on the sinful Earth. Where do you people come up with your nursery rhymes and superstitions?

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Shane, Thank you so much for mentioning great leaders in my country. These two stand for the Republic that has been a great one until now. See my question is where do you people come up with, no guns, black lives matter, NAACP, ACLU and Al Sharpton. Yeah Chicago a prime example of taking the guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens and give them to criminals. Hmmmm if we had a White lives matter organization we would be sued. We don’t have an idiot running around telling people to hate. Yeah no thanks I will stay in my red state where I can freely execute my Constitutional rights. You people can just stay in the Blue states and pay higher taxes, higher crime rates per capita, and have lawless people running around nude. Yeah that’s a great thing to show to other nations no wonder why my country is the laughing stock of the world.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

And you judge them Why? Also, everyone has sinned in their life it’s the ones who have asked for forgiveness that matter. Besides your a typical non believer, want to point the finger at others when you have 3 pointing back at yourself. Besides your so called nursery rhymes and superstitions can be proven. Whatever you believe in like the big bang idiot theory or the evolution idiot theory has not prove of any validity. So please elaborate on your ignorant comments. Or are you just a repeater because you have no substance to any of your opinions?

          • Shane Brooks

Prove it, chief. Prove any of the biblical bullshit your cult calls truth and I’ll listen to your putrid vomit. Oh yeah, you can’t, because it was all created simply to control the actions of other people. Pick up a science book and you’ll see truth and realism. Until then, shut the fuck up.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

See the name calling that’s all you poor liberals can do. Can’t prove anything so you get all ticked off. Waaaaa cry me a river. Why don’t you pick up a science book. It will tell you many things in it that proves the bible. Also there are scrolls that are written 1,000s of years ago that has all the information on it and things that have happened over the years. Yeah you simple minded people don’t understand how to read something credible nor do you want to because as long as you don’t agree with it then it’s your truth. So why don’t you shut up you dirty mouth little boy.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Also, I read back over a comment you made about “Christians refusal to accept someone forcing religion down everyone else’s thoats” Would you elaborate on that more please? I have never seen a pastor or a member of any church standing up preaching to anyone from a political position. What is happening is your people don’t want anyone to be able practice Christianity anywhere we want to. See that’s our Constitutional right under the 1st amendment. You people only want us to except things that suit your kind. However, we will not except evil and that’s are protected right. So how does her refusal to violate her 1st and 14th amendment right shoving religion down your throat or that gay couples?

          • Saipan Haole

What I am saying i she has a right to her beliefs. But she doesn’t have the right to force her beliefs on to folks who want to get married. She has to follow the LAW. NOT her religious beliefs when performing her JOB as a Govt clerk. By refusing to do so, she is FORCING her beliefs… plain and simple- she can practice her religion however she feels outside of her job…

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Saipan, and I can see from your point of view how that would look but that wasn’t the case. The 14th Amendment protects her right to practice her religion at her work place that’s even in a government job. So she is protected under the law. Her job as a clerk is to uphold the laws of Kentucky, not federal laws. Besides there isn’t a law requiring any state or state official to give a marriage license. The supreme court can’t make laws they only can deem them Constitutional or not. That’s why there is an issue. I do see it from both sides because the gay couple felt discriminated against but she was discriminated against because of her religious beliefs which is actually protected under the Constitution in actual words in the 1st amendment. All I’m trying to say is accommodations should be made for both the gay couple and the clerk. If you are an American then equality should be the same for all not just a group of people.

          • Saipan Haole

She is protected in that the Govt has to make REASONABLE concessions for things at her job going against her beliefs-like a Jehovah’s witness raising a flag-they can assign that job to someone else. She is the County Clerk-they can’t assign her job to anyone else… She also took an oath regarding the performance of her job. We can’t pick and choose what we will or won’t do on our job. It would be like a cop making the decision not to enforce those laws he doesn’t agree with… ANARCHY my friend. Folks deserve to have their civil rights protected and in this instance, she is using her beliefs to violate another persons right to get married.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Saipan, So tell me again how she violated this couples rights? Did you know they lived 100 miles away from that county and just came there to start trouble just because she was a Christian? Yep that’s right they could have went to any county in that state and got the license they just chose that county and brought the media with them. I think that’s more of anarchy then your opinion. Folks do deserve to have their civil rights protected and so does this clerk.

          • Saipan Haole

How did she violate their rights? You’re kidding right? She refused to issue the Marriage License- I guess if she didn’t want to issue a license to a bi-racial couple then you would be all up in arms right? It doesn’t matter what the Bible says AND THE BIBLE SAYS NOTHING ABOUT SAME SEX FOLKS GETTING MARRIED – it has THREE sentences mentioning Homosexuality.PERIOD. SHe broke Federal Law by refusing to do her JOB. If you are backing her, what you are basically saying is that you can get a job or get ELECTED to do a job and pick and choose the parts of that job you like and refuse to do the rest. It’s like getting hired as a housekeeper and saying you don’t do windows or sweep floors.

          • JamesDDean

She’s not forcing her beliefs on anyone. She is enforcing the law, Kentucky’s law. The people of Kentucky are her constituents, not nine black robed jurists where five of them believe they’re demigods. When Kentucky’s state legislature rewrites the marriage law, and the governor signs it into law, then she is duty bound. You people should learn there is a process within government on how things get done.

      • Mary Ann Shaver

Others have decided for themselves. Trying to play innocent won’t work given what you’ve said in this thread.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Yes they have. I just hope you love your comments about because you are held accountable for them. Have a wonderful day liberal.

          • JT

They have indeed. They’ve taken note of what you’ve said numerous times above.

Have you tried getting all that egg off your face?

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Oh I never had egg on my face. But obviously you had something on your face with your comment above. Making fun of Jesus when you don’t even believe in him. Pretty obvious you made yourself look like a fool. have a great night.

          • JT

LOL. You’re getting funnier and funnier, although you’re too dense to realize it. But the egg on your face won’t come off by pretending it’s not there. It’s not one of your imaginary creations. Neither is your ignorance.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

All anyone hears from you is blah blah blah. Because what you say hasn’t any validity to it nor meaning. However, if you think I have egg on my face that’s better than what’s on yours just read your first comment and you will finally realize what you have on your face.

          • JT

Your ignorance and stupidity are now well known to all. Repeating only accentuates it.

      • babie

JT you will reap the harvest of mocking our God.

        • JT

Your harvest has been poor throughout history.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

JT, And the world is so much better without God now? Yeah that one just really made me laugh.

          • JT

            Ignorance is bliss.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Yes it is, thanks for making that point about you.

          • JT

You are too stupid even to understand how stupid you are.

          Yes, she is.

      • Michael N Orilla Crider

By the way the name is Jesus!!! And YES when Jesus washes away our sin, IF we ask, we become whiter than snow and the sins are remembered no more by Him! Her past is just that and as she says. God tells us to obey the law of the land, UNLESS it goes against God’s law. In the Constitution it states that we can set laws about anything except certain things and one of them is going against God’s laws, that is one thing that sets us apart from other countries. Gay marriage is against what God tells us is ok. He destroyed a city for sodomy and America is above being destroyed for the same thing.

I haven’t figured out why so many people have yelled their heads off about her past when some of you have the same past!!! But one thing I do know is that her past has been washed clean by His blood that He shed on the cross for every person in the world. One day you and every other human being will stand be for JESUS and answer to Him. If you haven’t asked Him into your life you will forever be lost in Hell.

        • JT

Thanks for your opinion. By the way, we live in a democracy, not a theocracy. If you like theocracies, you should try living in Iran. Christofascists don’t realize that their own chosen brand of christianity wouldn’t hold sway in all theocracies, even a “christian” one.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

JT, actually we are not a democracy we are a republic. I’m sorry you comment with ignorance so go use a dictionary to look up what the differences are.

          • JT

You might want to look the word up in a dictionary yourself and then try to wipe the egg off your face.

            http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/democracy

          • Nathaniel Simpson

JT, A typical ignorance from the left. Why do you even comment on things? Read and find out a little about our country. Like I said idiot we are a republic not a democracy because we have elected officials who represent us instead of voting on laws directly.

          • JT

You need to improve your reading skills and stop demonstrating your lack of education. The funniest thing is that you don’t even understand the item you gave a link to. Try at least to get a GED.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

My point exactly. Liberals don’t read they just read what they want and do away with the rest. I have a Bachelors degree working on my Masters for your information. Oh I understand it completely moron. You didn’t even look at it or you would have known. But if you want a more credible source I can give you a .gov or any other one doesn’t matter because they all say the same thing we are a republic idiot. LMAO you don’t even know that.

          • JT

            Read the definition, half wit.

Right, you have a degree. That’s credible, given what you’ve written. But wait, there are degree factories like U Phoenix or online fraudulent enterprises like the now defunct “Trump University.”

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Actually, I took it on campus in an actual class room. I know you probably wouldn’t know what that is since your mind stays in la la land. I know you don’t have an education or you would be boasting about it like most liberals. And you’re right getting a degree from a college doesn’t make you smart just as your King Obama. Yeah he has really done a great job at destroying this country. I was educated enough to know not to vote for that moron.

          • JT

You took it “on campus”? Is that what you call the high school you dropped out of? You can’t even understand simple sentences. Go back and try to finish your GED, moron. What a waste of bandwidth you are.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

JT, You’re the waste of good air. All you do is ramble and act like you know things. Ha why don’t you go to college and get educated. I’m sure my 4 years of college and my high school diploma with 2 seals on it would be nice for someone like you who didn’t even graduate. Oh better yet maybe I could make C’s in law school and become president. I know at least to be president I just need to be a community organizer. Yeah and I’m not the educated one moron. Get a life.

          • JT

Four years of college? Right. That’s believable, given the way you write. But the two seals on your high school diploma must rank up there like a star on a preschool finger painting. Law school for you? That’s the funniest thing you’ve said so far.

          • JT

Do you know what “mutually exclusive” means? Now negate that. Or is that too complicated for your microscopic intellect?

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Since you probably don’t even know how to use a computer to look at things I will cut an past to make it easier for you. This comes via dictionary.com.

LOL. You’re so stupid you even refuted yourself.

Try reading the definition of democracy.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

That’s why the United States is a republic. Not all of the Government is elected like under a traditional democracy. The supreme court isn’t elected by the people and the cabinet members are not elected by the people. To bad you didn’t have a history class in college you may know what the difference is. I’m glad I love my country enough to know the constitution and the government of my country.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Besides your dictionary reference is the same one I used for a republic. Did you even read the definition and where it says the United States is a form of democracy? Probably not, just like a liberal you see the word democracy and United States used in the same area oh my that’s all I need. lmao typical. To bad you don’t study American History or even look at what the definition of a Republic is. Heck our pledge to the flag even says to the Republic and one nation under God. But yeah we aren’t a Republic nor where we founded by God fearing people. Get real and get a live.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Now who has the egg on their face?

          • JT

I assumed you could read. But maybe dictionary entries are too complex for you.

          • Nathaniel Simpson
          • Nathaniel Simpson

Here’s another that may make you understand how dumb you are. And I will copy and past since you are small minded.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands,
one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

            SUMMARY
In the Pledge of Allegiance we all pledge allegiance to our Republic, not to a democracy. “Republic” is the proper description of our government, not “democracy.” I invite you to join me in raising public awareness regarding that distinction.

A republic and a democracy are identical in every aspect except one. In a republic the sovereignty is in each individual person. In a democracy the sovereignty is in the group.

Republic. That form of government in which the powers of sovereignty are vested in the people and are exercised by the people, either directly, or through representatives chosen by the people, to whome those powers are specially delegated. [NOTE: The word “people” may be either plural or singular. In a republic the group only has advisory powers; the sovereign individual is free to reject the majority group-think. USA/exception: if 100% of a jury convicts, then the individual loses sovereignty and is subject to group-think as in a democracy.]

Democracy. That form of government in which the sovereign power resides in and is exercised by the whole body of free citizens directly or indirectly through a system of representation, as distinguished from a monarchy, aristocracy, or oligarchy. [NOTE: In a pure democracy, 51% beats 49%. In other words, the minority has no rights. The minority only has those privileges granted by the dictatorship of the majority.]

The distinction between our Republic and a democracy is not an idle one. It has great legal significance.

The Constitution guarantees to every state a Republican form of government (Art. 4, Sec. 4). No state may join the United States unless it is a Republic. Our Republic is one dedicated to “liberty and justice for all.” Minority individual rights are the priority. The people have natural rights instead of civil rights. The people are protected by the Bill of Rights from the majority. One vote in a jury can stop all of the majority from depriving any one of the people of his rights; this would not be so if the United States were a democracy. (see People’s rights vs Citizens’ rights)

In a pure democracy 51 beats 49[%]. In a democracy there is no such thing as a significant minority: there are no minority rights except civil rights (privileges) granted by a condescending majority. Only five of the U.S. Constitution’s first ten amendments apply to Citizens of the United States. Simply stated, a democracy is a dictatorship of the majority. Socrates was executed by a democracy: though he harmed no one, the majority found him intolerable.

You are so ignorant. Try rereading the definition.

I love the fact that you’re so stupid that you think citing lyrics to a song can prove anything.

          • JT

You don’t understand that article. Try educating yourself.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

I read it and now you read it. Try that for once. Don’t be like the other libatards and stick your head in the sand.

          • JT

You are so dumb. Again, do you know what “mutually exclusive” means. Negate that. Duh. Read the article again, nit wit.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Why don’t you read. I already know what the differences are and besides you don’t know anything about the constitution anyways so whats the point.

          • JT

You are incredibly ignorant. You don’t even understand your own sources. Go back and finish high school.

    • Gerry Fisher

She looks really terrified of going to hell, there, doesn’t she?

    • marecek21

      Is she Heil Hitlering us?!!!

      • Betty Clift

LET US DRAG HER TO TIME SQUARE AND STONE HER! WOULD THAT SATISFY ALL YOU GAY WADS? DO YOU REALIZE YOU ARE BREAKING GODS LAW BY SLEEPING TOGETHER? MAYBE YOU NEED TO STOP BENDING THE WRONG WAY AND TRY DOING IT ON YOUR KNEES WITH THE BIBLE!

        • Eric in Oakland

“MAYBE YOU NEED TO STOP BENDING THE WRONG WAY AND TRY DOING IT ON YOUR KNEES WITH THE BIBLE!”

That sounds really sick. I doubt anyone here wants to read about your perverted practices.

        • Zefrank

Hahaha all caps = trolling… I sincerely hope

        • marecek21

Betty, go jump off a Clift. You are exactly the type of braindead whackadoodle zombie which gives religion a bad name. Whether gay people are violating God’s law is a matter of speculation and belief, not of established fact. If you choose to believe and follow that, be our guest, but you ARE NOT going to impose your subjective, idiosyncratic theological conceptions (which are no more than your personal opinion) on the rest of us. The law that we all MUST follow here on earth (and which can be verified) is the law of the land, secular law. You are threatening me with consequences you simply can’t demonstrate will ever happen, so I reject your threats. On the other hand, we know very well what happens when fools get it in their heads to flout established secular legal authority. As for the stoning of Ms. Davis, I never condone any such thing. You are trying to pretend that we are bloodthirsty rabble, when such is not the case. All that has been asked is that she either do her duty or resign in favor of someone who will respect civil authority. Stony is barbaric and uncivilized – pretty much right up your gang’s alley – read your Bible or Koran (I am sure it will infuriate you to read, but you and Islamic extremists are basically the same deal) for more details. Oh, and one more thing. Turn off the all-caps. It does not impress anyone and does not make up for lack of intelligence or ability to make cogent points. Now go pray and leave serious people to deal with real issues.

          • ron

speculation and belief its in black and white sometimes red words

          • Patricia Gallagher

marecek21, impressed upon every human heart — whether beating in a Christian chest or not — is the natural law, which does not contradict Divine Law and to which all man-made law is subject. Our Founding Fathers accepted as much and based the laws of the new nation on those principles.

[Marriage should not be a subject of federal law. The U.S. Constitution does not enumerate that power to the central government, and the activist SCOTUS errs when it tramples the rights of the sovereign 50 States.]

Davis is bound to fulfill her assigned duties or resign.

          • Shane Brooks

There is no ‘Divine Law’, because it is just as man-made as regular laws.

          • marecek21

Patricia, what I wrote to Betty Clift applies equally you. Put a sock in it already. Your fictional re-imagining of what the Founding Fathers accepted and did is laughable; they did no such things. Also your conception of the US legal system is simplistic and wrongheaded.

        • dayk1

Screaming doesn’t make your argument any more sound. You are entitled to believe what you want, as is the clerk. You are not allowed to push it on everyone else. If that is what you want go live someplace where there is a theocracy.

        • david taylor

Actually, her bible does require stoning for fornicators. Being impregnated with twins by her 3rd husband but adopted by her second husband……that’s sex without marriage and she was still married to hubby #1 when she became pregnant. Please provide the book and passage that supports what you’re saying. Leviticus is Old Testament and my understanding is Christians don’t practice those scriptures. If they do 90% of them would be stoned to death for various abominations. You should be on your knees praying for a brain…jmho

          • kilvehk

christians don’t because they found something in there they can twist to pretend they don’t need to.

          • s rider

she is a Christian who found Jesus after living a life of sin. Her sins have been washed away. Jesus also made numerous statements about sex. Also remember Jesus is God therefore what is said in the old is just as relevant in the new. Sin is sin. Redemption through Christ is the only way. FYI, their are a great many gays who are Christians so when you mock Christians you mock them too.

          • Haywood Jublowme

The bible is VERY clear on adultery AND divorce. She’ll be in the line to hell long before any gay person.

        • Gary Pifer

$Hillary$ will cast the first stone as she is without sin.l

        • Shane Brooks

Or what, the little guy with a pitchfork and pointed tail will burn us? Put down your bible and pick up a textbook and educate yourself. Superstitions and cults are on the way out, darling.

        • madcapfeline

FYI, caps lock does not improve a bad argument.

        • Saipan Haole

Funny, Homosexuality is mentioned a mere three times in the entire Bible and yet, this is what the bible thumpers choose as their rallying call… why not focus on what Jesus taught you??? LOVE your fellow man and treat everyone with respect and kindness- if you were truly a Christian, you would keep your mouth shut and pray for the “Sinners”.

    • FaerieBoi81

She’s such a hypocritical *itch, just because she got “saved” doesn’t mean she didn’t break the rules of the bible, not only getting divorced 3 times, but also committing bigamy and having another man’s children, whom she didn’t marry til after her 2nd divorce, then also divorced him, so her hypocritical @$$ has no room to talk about (or defend) the “sanctity” of marriage.

      • Anthony DiMartini

ah but you forget in the mind of the “true believers” she has been forgiven for her sins and is the perfect example of one who has been redeemed by surrendering her life to Jesus when he called, and now lives her life to carry on Gods message.
But yeah to the rest of the world hippocrit pretty much sums her up.

        • Ryan Barnett

In other words, you are free to do whatever you want to do just as long as you ask for forgiveness. I call it the forgiveness scam lol

          • Anthony DiMartini

yeah seems that way. I know its not the first time i’ve heard that angle be used.

          • Larry Carmody

Oh! so you never did anything wrong in your life, and believe all you see and read ??

          • madcapfeline

I know I’ve done things wrong, the difference between she and I is that I don’t run around pretending to be holy so that I can deliberately flout the law for the sole purpose of garnering much desired attention and validation for myself.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

She doesn’t run around acting like she is all Holy. When she was in sin just as all have sinned she was not holy but after you get saved you have made a decision not to sin anymore. If she had done all the sin after she was saved then I would be with you guys but she didn’t so shut up.

          • madcapfeline

“Just as all have sinned”?!?? Really? Getting knocked up by your third husband-to-be while still married to your first is a sin wholly unique to Kim Davis, I’d wager. And no, fuck you, I will not shut up, sorry not sorry. This bitch is a bigot and a hypocrite, who is using her “faith” as both a shield and a battering ram, and she deserves every bad thing that happens to her. I truly do hope that her religious convictions are as real as her defenders say they are, so that she continues to defy the court order and is forced to stay in jail until she dies because humanity as a whole could only be improved by such a loss.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

You people don’t want to believe in God but yet you want to judge people and use quotes about something that you don’t believe in how stupid can you be? Oh wait you have showed how stupid you are.

          • madcapfeline

Because Christians are not rational thinkers. I can’t very well use a point of view that points out the wrongness of their behavior using secular evidence, because they’ll dismiss that without ever even listening to it. Using their own Holy text against them is the only way to get them to see reason. But then there are people like you, who were raised to believe that you would be persecuted for your beliefs and thus you see persecution at every turn, even though you’re still the active majority in this country. If it’s stupid to require evidence, then I’m the dumbest motherfucker to ever walk the Earth, and I will own that proudly. But I’m not going to let some book written by illiterate goat herders 2000 years ago turn me into a monster that deliberately seeks to ruin the lives and happiness of other people, because Jesus. Fuck. That. Shit.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

See that’s what’s funny you say you try and use the scripture against us is the first dumb comment when you don’t even believe in it and you don’t understand it. problem with people that aren’t believers trying to use scriptures 100% of the time they take one verse and use that as evidence instead of the whole chapter and book so that you know the whole meaning behind it. Secondly, I’m so glad you lived 2000 years ago and know who wrote the bible since you are so intelligent!! I would much rather listen to goat herders then to a tyrant president like we have in the white house. Yeah sure I’m not the dumb one who voted for such a man to run this country. I see were your loyalties lie. Besides you talk about Christians not being rational thinkers but you don’t see us rioting in the streets and playing a race card to get what we want. So if you call that rational thinking then yes I’m not rational. No thank you I would much rather be sane and love this country until the day I die.

          • JT

problem with people that aren’t believers trying to use scriptures 100% of the time they take one verse and use that as evidence instead of the
whole chapter and book so that you know the whole meaning behind it.

What’s funny is that your writing indicates that you are virtually illiterate. You are ignorant that there are a great many people who study scriptural exegesis, are far more familiar with the texts than you are and who don’t share your mythology. Your “100%” claim is laughable. Now you bring your racist sentiments into your attempts at reasoning. Try getting an education and learning some logic before attempting to argue and making such a mess of it.

          • madcapfeline

Ad hominem for the win, eh? Why is it because I don’t think Christians should get free run of the universe, I must clearly be a liberal Atheist heathen? I believe in God, just not the one depicted in your holy book. I’m neither liberal, nor conservative. I vote for the individuals that have the best ideas for enacting positive change rather than the ones that pander to the lowest common denominator. And for the record, I voted third party in the last three presidential elections. It is entirely possible to love one’s country without supporting the government that runs it, don’t forget that. Also, just because I don’t believe in something, doesn’t mean I don’t understand it. If anything, I’m better equipped to understand it, because I can see through the BS. But you go on thinking you’re the one with all the answers, there is no reasoning with the unreasonable. As such, I am done with your nonsense; you’ll have to get your persecution complex fulfilled by someone else from now on.

          • Nathaniel Simpson

Larry, no need to defend her she will get her reward in heaven and all those that have stupid ideas will burn in hell for eternity so it doesn’t really matter. They have built their own destruction. And lets see how much they spout off when they live under sharia law.

          • Ryan Barnett

Ahh, the whole “so you think you’re perfect” fallacy. Sure, I did and do wrong things in life from time to time. However, I don’t tell and force my religious beliefs on people like Davis did in this situation. Since it has been documented, yes. I believe it. Plus she confirmed them as well.

      • scooter

She’s still a Democrat, some dirt takes a while to shed.

    • Eddy Ensing

Really, what is it with you people, digging up dirt is a low act. The fact is that we have all transgressed at one time or another As Jesus said, he that is without sin cast the first stone. Kim Davis has been forgiven because Jesus gave himself for her and took her punishment as he has mine and would also do for you. This is not about her being judgmental, this is about standing up for what is right.

      • Baxter Gale

No, this is about her being a homophobic piece of human trash.

      • madcapfeline

Is that not what Kim Davis herself is doing? Casting stones? Passing judgement on homosexuals and breaking the law of the land so that she can impose her own morals onto other people and unilaterally decide to alter the course of their lives? If her faith is so genuine and all encompassing, why doesn’t she ever ask heterosexual couples if either of them is divorced? Why doesn’t she ever verify that a heterosexual bride is in fact still a virgin? Why doesn’t she ever ask any one of a myriad of questions to heterosexual couples to determine if their marriage would be biblically valid? Why is it only homosexuals that are singled out? Anyone who believes Kim Davis et.al. isn’t deliberately putting on a media circus so that people like Mike Huckabee can get in soundbites like “Kim Davis in federal custody removes all doubts about the criminalization of Christianity in this country” and pander to the lowest common denominator of Christianity, is completely delusional.

    • Nancy Stere

All on here who haven`t sin throw the first stone none of you can! She`s a christian doesn`t mean you still don`t sin but she is saved by grace,Are you saved did you accept jesus as your personal savior and know you are going to heaven. think about it and if you aren`t you better get right with him. before it too late.

  • fiizok

Not surprised at all, but this is just small potatoes. I’m REALLY looking forward to the smackdown that is coming Thursday when Davis and her six deputy clerks will be in court for their contempt hearing.

    • xxSJWxx

I hope it gets filmed and shown on YouTube !!!

    • Schlukitz

This new information certainly is not going to make the court any more sympathetic to her cause, much less, add to the credibility of her actions.

Now, she will look like the total tool-fool that she is.

      • Shy Guy

She’ll just stick to her “that was all before I gave my life to Jesus” narrative. Evangelicals eat that up.

That way it can’t even be used against her to show hypocrisy, since she didn’t have her now “deeply held” beliefs at the time. Convenient, huh?

        • FaerieBoi81

Just because she’s a “born again” christian, doesn’t mean she’s not a total hypocrite, just like catholic priests molesting boys then “repenting” doesn’t make them not pedophiles, they’re still pedophiles either way, so her being a “born again” christian doesn’t absolve her from being a total hypocrite!

          • Bernie Joyce

Kinda like Obama flip/flopped on his gay marriage position. Once a bigot always a bigot.

          • earthlovingqueerfeminist

I don’t think so. Education is everything.

          • eurigm

Unfortunately you cannot be jailed for being a hypocrite

          • s rider

how is she a hypocrite. Because she once lived a sinful life and now doesnt? people can and do change and after finding Jesus it is a change for the better. Those who walk in sin will never know the joy and the determination that comes from being wiped of every wrong you every committed.

          • Jonjon

She is in a job that doesn’t allow her personal feelings to make the decisions, her job is to give out license’s to those the LAW says to.

          • c.

She is still living a sinful life…

        • Janet Martin

See she was not born a Christian as most gays “claim” to be born gay….You are not born anything except for what ever sex you are (boy or girl) you are not born prejudiced, you are not born mean or kind, you are not born knowing how to love or hate, you are taught all of that whether you remember what situations or persons or at what age you were taught…..she lived a life of sin and then was saved we call that born again and does that mean she never messes up? No it does not because nobody is perfect except for the Lord and Saviour but he will forgive us if we repent and try each day to do better and no you can’t sin intentionally just to ask for forgiveness…You can look at a person that is saved and cleaned in the blood of Christ and see their holiness, it stands out in a person and kim has that genuine cleansed look. I really don’t know where this will get her with her job, but I am proud of her and I really have never seen so many fools saying the most ignorant things I have ever seen or read in my life. FYI I have seen openly gay people start going to church and get saved and turn their life over to God and change from being gay! And live a full and happy life 🙂

      • Gustav2

Won’t come up in court, but the PR will follow her on the grifter circuit. Some will praise her complete turn around,

      • lymis

The new information doesn’t belong in court. That would imply that sincerity of religious conviction and actually living according to your belief would allow you to discriminate as a public servant against those who don’t.

Her religious beliefs are immaterial. So it follows that her sincerity or hypocrisy or the specifics of her religious beliefs – including whether they are internally consistent – are immaterial.

The ONLY question is whether she will do her job. If not, then she either resigns or is held in contempt. WHY she chooses to do her job is genuinely unrelated.

And remember – this is about ignoring the ruling that there is no stay pending the resolution of the case. Whether or not a higher court sees some religious exemption that nobody else does is actually a separate matter from the one at hand – that unless and until a higher court changes it, she has to issue marriage licenses to all citizens.

The idea that issuing even one license to a same sex couple permanently scars her for life is ludicrous, and will not be legally upheld. But she still has the option of resigning.

        • Schlukitz

          You are, of course, correct.

        • JustSayin

The problem with your argument lymis is that her defense is her sincerely held claim.of belief. Notice.the wording there.

The federal judge cannot disallow that as a defense because of the first amendment as well as the Kentucky rfra.

One possible legal tactic is to.impeach her claim and show her character as false. If they go that route this might come up and would be valid.

It probably won’t get to that on Thursdays contempt hearing because scotus precedent has ruled that a public servant cannot not do their job because of their religious belief.

When it comes time for her actual suit against the governor to be heard that is when her claims will be debunked.

          • s rider

I suggest you read the constitution. The supreme court cannot create law-ever only congress can. Therefore gay marriage is NOT legal. It isnt in the constitution, so in this case her refusal is based upon state law. state law says marriage is between a man and a woman.

          • kilvehk

actually scotus didn’t make a law. they ruled that bans on gay marriage were unconstitutional. good try though. not really. every dumbfuck that doesn’t know what they are talking about uses that.

        • Gerry Fisher

Or you could come at it from the angle of “you yourself expected government officials to treat you equally under the law while you were having an adulterous affair, divorcing, and remarrying, so it shouldn’t be any different now that the shoe is on the other foot.”

    • James Windsor

Small potatoes, you must be joking. She was the town whore.

      • terramundi

I wouldn’t denigrate the town whore that way. This woman is a whole ‘nother level of slattern.

        • Bill_Clement

          Good word.

          • Joseph Falco

I think whore of Babylon would be most appropriate

          • FaerieBoi81

Don’t you mean whore of Kentucky?

        • Skokieguy

Thumbs up for slattern! Judges would have also accepted strumpet.

          • Balderdashing

Except a “slattern” sounds like someone it would be fun to drink with. “Strumpet” adds the appropriate brash, braying aspect.

          • I’ve been using the phrase “thrice-divorced obese strumpet” for the last week as it best describes the subject.

          • terramundi

Julia Roberts in “Pretty Woman” was a strumpet.
When I think of slattern, the picture of a pock-marked, haggle-toothed, shift-with-one-shoulder-sagging opening a warped door to the next trick with a baby crying somewhere in the background comes to mind.

          • terramundi

How about hussy, jade, or malkin?
            😉

      • genuin truth

        Did you know her?

        • Bill_Clement

About as well as she knows the people she’s denying the services that she is paid to do.

      • D. J.

was? As long as she still has her wagon hitched to the Stavers, she still IS the county whore.

      • Cup_of_STFU

Small potatoes in the eyes of the law. Her past indiscretions aren’t exactly something that the judge will look at and have it sway his decision.

      • Jan VanLiew Brewster

Yeah – she is LOVING the notoriety. This white trash, hick, is lapping up the attention. Well, let us see how she likes trying to live without her salary…..

        • scooter

Democrats do love the limelight, don’t they?

      • steinpiaz

Sorry, but trading sex for a bag of pork rinds and a six pack of warm Pepsi isn’t considered prostitution in Kentucky.

    • Michael Rush

Liberty Council definitely picked the wrong martyr , but no one else would be dumb enough to take the bait .

      • HadenoughBS

Kim Davis is NOT a martyr for Christ. She’s a martyr for the moneychangers in the temple. And, washed in the blood of Christ who forgave her her sins? Give me a break. This entire episode with The Liberty Counsel, Kim Davis and the other two KY county clerk SSM holdouts is all a sick, pathetic joke.

Tomorrow morning’s hearing before the federal judge should be a true education in how things work in civil government. SMACKDOWN + POPCORN = GOOD TIMES A-COMIN’!

      • lorimakesquilts

She picked the wrong lawyers. They are giving her horrible advice and it’s going to cost her. I hope she sues their asses. I have no sympathy for her ridiculous stand but those scumbags are using her.

        • eurigm

They advised her to flout the law. What principled attorney would ever do that?

      • Anthony DiMartini

I remember after the ruling when we heard the first round of clerks quit, i think the second one to make the news said she had gone to a lawyer ahead of time and asked is she could legally refuse and was told no. Liberty council must have loved hearing there was a clerk with the mindset they wanted that was not going to quit, but yeah bad luck for them getting one with that past. still am sure she will be used properly as a symbol for their cause.

    • SFRussell1963

When the Judge hears other members of her staff are willing to do the job she won’t he will lose his mind. The Plaintiff’s asked for fines and not jail, but that still remains the purview of the Judge. My guess is her arrogant defiant ass will have the temerity to mouth off to the Judge. I hope she’s jailed. It’s absolutely what she deserves at this point. ANY private sector employee would have been fired long ago for insubordination.

      • Katherine Southard Reece

ARE there members of her staff who are willing to issue licenses? I watched the video of her turning them down and the staff all appeared to back her judging by the look on their faces.

  • Lakeviewbob

So by her own standard she should be able to issue same sex marriage licenses and then go to church each Sunday and ask for forgiveness and then all would be good.

    • b

God is a servant to them. Demanding forgiveness, and he dutifully complies. Then they bark and brag about cherry-picked portioned of the bible, hailing other sins other than their own, to harm other families, other relationships, in a fit of spite which feels cleansing to them.

    • clay

but only if she promises to never, ever, do it again.

(she also gets to be forgiven for breaking those promises)

    What. The. Fuck.

Seriously, the only thing worse than this cow’s hypocrisy is her honest belief that as she has laid her evil soul bare before some sky fairy she has the right to stop the civil rights of others who don’t believe in her superstition.

    • Schlukitz

      Did Davis fucking stutter? lol

  • Sean

According to her human made “Bible” (in Matthew) only “God” can forgive and judge, humans have no authority to do either. Therefore she is still GOING TO BURN IN HELL!!!!!!

    P.S. So is Matt Staver.

    • Schlukitz

      Oh, if only……

  • motordog

Sigh…why do we got to hear about this god-hating, adulterous, satanic, lewd, wonton jezebel? Her continuous disrespect of god and the bibul are seriously offending my xtian beliefs. God demands her stoning…if possible, repeated stonings…when will those of use of faith be given the rights we deserve!? She keeps putting her enflamed womanly loins and her desire for ‘strange meat’ above MY love of a 4000 year old god of a desert-dwelling, nomadic tribe of goat fuckers!

    • Oscarlating Wildely

“Sigh…why do we got to hear about this god-hating, adulterous, wonton jezebel?”

Between Josh Duggar, Kim Davis, the Youtube miscarriage fakers and all the other hypocrites getting exposed lately, I’m reminded of the critic’s review of ‘Pink Flamingos’ (that John Waters proudly emblazoned on the DVD):
Like a septic tank explosion. It has to be seen to be believed.”

I don’t care how many times she’s been married or which men fathered which kids. But, even if she’s been washed in the blood of the Lamb, doesn’t she have a biblical mandate to not issue marriage licenses to divorced persons?

This is all so silly. I can’t believe I’m posting about biblical pseudologic. I’d just laugh it all off if it wasn’t affecting folks who want to marry the person they love – and who have in many cases worked and waited for decades to have that right.

    • lymis

The Bible doesn’t say divorced people can’t get marriage licenses. It says that if they remarry, they are adulterers, and that the penalty is death.

Although, Jesus did seem to have an issue with people actually carrying out the executions.

She would wish no less for any of us, I am certain.

      • Schlukitz

I can’t wait for her response in the morning to this latest revelation.

    • Schlukitz

Isn’t it amazing how these kind of bigoted and hateful people eventually manage to shoot themselves in the foot?

It’s almost like there is some sort of force in the Universe that drive people like this to their own destruction.

      People. Glass houses. Stones

      • JCF

“It’s almost like there is some sort of force in the Universe that drive people like this to their own destruction.”

        Heh-heh, Schlu, you’re speaking my language! 😉

    • Gianni

Believe me, in her mind, this only adds to the glory of her martyrdom for Jesus. Looks to me like she is using this marriage license thing as a way of atoning for her previous sins and showing God she REALLY is one of His warriors now and is serious about her redemption.

      • genuin truth

That’s just it. Only 4 years as a “born-again”. In my church this known as a Baby Christian. And all of her actions are showing what a big stupid child she is. Well She’s about to grow up.

        • Gianni

I remember years ago when my brother and sister-in-law first became born-again. Said to me (direct quote), “We’re going to save the world.” I was polite and didn’t say anything, but couldn’t help thinking that you guys are already nuts.

    • lymis

Believe me, in a town like that, every aspect of her life is already public knowledge and local gossip. It’s inconceivable that it wouldn’t be. None of this is actually new information being unearthed.

What she’s done is made her tawdry life national news and given a far wider audience for her past.

  • dennis6196

Oh Lord, present thyself and confirm your forgiveness of Kim Davis? 🙂 (If you can!)

    • NZArtist

I hope the court orders her invisible friend on the dock to confirm she is forgiven of her previous biblical transgressions and therefore immune from being forced into more.

  • NZArtist

(Refresh) omg. (Refresh) OMG! (refresh) Oh my fucking god! (refresh)….
    It’s one of those days.

    • DaddyRay

      I know right

      • Phil

It just doesn’t get any better than this!

        • bambinoitaliano

          Dan Savage disagree!

    • another_steve

I can attest to the fact that Joe is quicker than Google News.

Google News’ algorithm sucks cock in hell compared with our Joe.

      • NZArtist

Yeah. Come here for today’s news. Go elsewhere for yesterday’s. 🙂

      • Dramphooey

Yes, but is the JoeMyGod logo mathematically precise and yet possessing a childlike simplicity?

        • another_steve

          Fuck that shit.

          And fuck their new font.

          • GC

Stark simplicity has been the decreed new fashion for the last couple of years, never mind how good or terrible it looks. To me Google’s new logo is an esthetic fail.

          • Bad Tom

And Google never says anything like:
            “Maury Povich-level fuckery”

        • Piet

Yes, and also he’s clever and funny and doesn’t miss a trick, as my grannie used to say -0- That boy, he doesn’t miss a trick! And we love him.

    • [email protected]

yup I think it is very fair to say that Liberty Counsel lost the PR war today and that’s very important. Their supposed victim just doesn’t fit the role

      • Homo Erectus

        Thankew jeebus!

      • Schlukitz

” “It’s a matter of fact that she’s been married multiple times.” Staver says “it’s not really relevant, it’s something that happened in her past” and that her conversion to Christianity about four years ago wiped her slate clean.” as Matt Staver also wiped his hands clean of the matter.

Well, put in that light, I guess we can all just move on. Nothing to see here, according to Matty boy.

Meanwhile, Matt will continue to advise Davis to keep on denying those marriage certificates to those icky, horrible gays who are seekign to destroy her idea of a traditional marriage

Davis was heard to say under her breath as she stormed back to her office “And, if I decide to get divorced and remarried again, I will darn-well do it since it’s no one elses god-damned business”, as she slammed the door shut behind her.

        • genuin truth

Hypocrisy is her only claim to fame.

    • Leo Tallant

      JoeMyGod Blog is going DOWN!

“Captain – I need more power to the matter-anti-matter converters or she’s gonna blow!”

“Divert replicator power to the servers!”

      • Bad Tom

WARP POWER TO THE RAID ARRAYS!!!

  • Homo Erectus
    • Anastasia Beaverhousen

I think she’s a more “blowin” in the wind kinda girl.

      • 2guysnamedjoe

“blowin” in the wind. And in the barn, and the choir loft, and Joe-Bob’s pickup truck.

      • Piet

If she were a blowin’ kinda gal, there wouldn’t have been those pesky twins, though.

    • Old riddle:
What has six legs, four balls, two tits and sings?

      You see your answer.

Kim “Hester Prynne” Davis…the ‘A’ actually stands for ‘Asshole’…

        Um… that’s kind of hot.

There seems to be room for a few more. Hmmmmm…….

    • *THIS* is Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge!!!!

      • Eebadee-eebadee-thatsallfolks

Ugh! Don’t remind me. Trump will end up making Kim Davis look like decent person by comparison at the rate he’s going.

  • Phil

She’d have to be scrubbed down (with a wire brush) in Janitor-In-A-Drum, with bleach added, to be cleansed of her sins!

  • DaddyRay

I am sure she will claim it was an immaculate conception

  • Sean

Deuteronomy says her twins are bastards and that they WILL BE BURNING IN HELL! And their children, and so on, and so on even ten generations later. You cannot argue with “God”; Kim & Casey Davis, and Mat Staver – you just can’t.

  • PeterC

How does Anyone know that She is forgiven of ALL her previous sins: she has not died yet and we do not know (nor does she) whether it will be heaven or hell.
A Hell of a Note. But we have a pretty good guess.

  • BobSF_94117

It all sounds like a very complicated family situation for the kids but, on the other hand, having just one set of grandparents sort of balances it all out.

    • David Milley

      Exactly right!

    • zhera

I wonder what was said/done when she married her third husband. Did the twins call him dad? Did he adopt his own kids back?

      • BlueberriesForMe

I think all the husbands adopted each other to make things easier for Christmas shopping.

  • MikeBx2

“she had lived an imperfect life, but insisted her current beliefs are sincere”

That’s straight from the Josh Duggar playbook.

  • DaddyRay

Here we have the slow-mo reaction

  • Blake Jordan

This Super Whore is the “defender” of marriage… really???

    • bambinoitaliano

As long as you got jesus on your side, whore away!!

    • bkmn

It doesn’t matter if she is making Jeebus babez. If she were to make them dark babez it might be different. As long as she can yell “I lub Jeebus” she is golden.

  • bambinoitaliano

I thing we gays got this whole sanctity of marriage wrong.

    • Eebadee-eebadee-thatsallfolks

Yeah, it turns out it was a lot more like a truck stop orgy than what I was picturing.

  • gaymex

She’s like the republican presidential candidates–always more shit turning up. Can you imagine having her kind of history and thinking no one is going to check it out. The nerve of this stupid, stupid bitch defying the courts and the nerve of these neocons who support her.

  • Captain Jack

And this surprises who? That woman needs to get stoned…really bad!

  • motordog

The Righteous Adventures of Kim Davis

    • bambinoitaliano

That’s a good title for a children book.

      • motordog

You DON’T want any kids reading THIS book…it’s the perverse adventures of an insatiable, godless cock-aholic! No one man is enough for her!

        • GC

And it’s supposedly TEH GAYZ getting married that’s turning people into LUSTFUL COCKMONSTERS!!! (Just ask former Maryland delegate Emmett C. Burns Jr.)

    • Larry Larson

    • motordog

      Yes.

      • NZArtist

No. We’d never respect you. Rape a dead pig instead and we’re more likely to forgive and forget.

        • The Weeping Cheeto

Please don’t rape the dead pigs. Thanks.

          • NZArtist

            Well I wouldn’t. It’s dead boring.

    • gaymex

I’d put a wooden stake thru your heart, but other than that you’d be good with god.

    • sfbob

Why on earth would you want to do such a thing? Have you no standards? At least find someone halfway sane and decent-looking.

      Sheesh…

      • Ronald Reagan is Dead!

You’re right I had a momentary lapse in judgement trying to make a point.

  • Ninja0980

It doesn’t matter what she did, it never does to these hypocrites.
All that matters is the fact she is fighting the evil ghez and therefore she’s a hero to the Religious Reich.

    • [email protected]

yup, as long as you are useful to the anti-gay cause any sin can be forgiven. But if you ever stop supporting the anti-gay position you can be sure they would pull that all right back up to say how that person clearly was never one of them at heart.

  • [email protected]

so basically her version of a sex ethic only mandates excluding gay people, any heterosexual misconduct is good to go.

  • DaddyRay

Can’t wait to hear the Liberty Counsel, The Foundation For Moral Law and NOM reaction

    • [email protected]

liberty counsel already said, “meh so what” and the other two just won’t even mention it.

NOM will quietly drop her, as they did with Carrie Ladyfingers Prejean.

  • neonzx

Thanks for this, Joe. Glad I did one last refresh before turning in for bed. I’ll sleep well tonight! LOL

    • Reality.Bites

And unlike her, you’ll probably wake up with the same person you went to sleep with.

    • Schlukitz

      As will I. Thanks, Joe.

  • I hope the two Davids from court this morning have heard about this.

  • The Weeping Cheeto

    Quit it, crazy lady.

  • Not to gloat but…

  • The Weeping Cheeto

She’s Duggaring all wrong. You’re supposed to collect kids, not husbands.

  • Anthony DiMartini

Seriously?!? This is the woman people are praising as standing up for God and what he stands for??

    • Schlukitz

Shows you how totally whacked-out they are.

    • lorimakesquilts

But all that was before she found god. Now she wears jumpers and ugly hairstyles so all is forgiven.

  • Dot Beech

There goes the high-priced speaking engagements. Right down the toilet.

But maybe she could go out on tour in a musical version of “The Scarlet Letter.”

  • Phil

A thought about this matter: Could the Liberty Counsel have released this info on the sly to get themselves off the hook from having to defend her and save what little there was of their professional creds? Heavens knows she’s dumb as a bag of hammers, and maybe they’re tired of fighting what’s clearly a losing battle.

    • Reality.Bites

They knew going in it was a losing battle, for reasons that have nothing to do with her and her personal life. Besides which – Christians can do ANYTHING and be forgiven. This only shows what a good Christian she is.

    • bkmn

LC and Staver aren’t that smart. All they want to do is get a “religious freedumb” case in front of SCOTUS and Kim “slut of the year” Davis was a stepping stone.

  • Sean Williams

She is the Whore of Babylon as foretold in the great book!

    • scooter

  • ReidDA

She’s been absolved for her divorces but the sting of issuing a marriage license to a same sex couple (aka doing her job) is a bell that can’t be un-rung?

“Jesus is the mystical magical cure for everything, including hypocrisy.”

No he wasn’t being mystical about this hypocrisy at all.

“How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” — Luke 6:42

Couples are trying to get married and affirmed in a relationship, and she has a 4×4 pressure-treated beam in her eye. No wonder she can’t write marriage licenses.

3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

    HO HO HO!

    • DaddyRay

Good Luck or if the Doctor is cute Get Lucky

      • bkmn

Thanks. Unfortunately the cute doctor is a new daddy as of this week…

    • bambinoitaliano

Best wishes. Just don’t be reading the comments on this site before the stitches all heal.

      • bkmn

The drugs will help. Many thanks!

    • MDB

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and yes , you can post here on JMG while coasting along on your pain meds; we’ll understand 🙂

      • bkmn

Hell I will probably be posting from the hospital room while loaded on oxy (and I might sneak some of those nice THC lozenges in).

  • Zaephod Beeblebrox

This Evangeliskank is the gift that keeps on giving.

  • Dale Snyder

An obvious fat slut for Jeebus.

Is there anyone on this site who wouldn’t puke seeing that FAT ASS committing Adultery in the name of Jeebus?

  • GanymedeRenard

Gee, I’m a self-avowed slut, but I don’t go around denying people’s rights. Please, Joe, keep digging. This needs to be known as widely as possible.

    • MDB

So, would you like a parade or some other “special” reeward ? 😉

      • 2guysnamedjoe

Being a self-avowed slut is its own reward.

        • GanymedeRenard

          Indeed. And loving it!

      • GanymedeRenard

I’d be happy with both. 😉

  • Michael C

So, are 75% of the county clerks who have signed their names on her marriage licenses doomed to hell?

    • Claude Jacques Bonhomme

      That would be her mother…

  • Zaephod Beeblebrox

Damn she’s not just the county clerk; she’s also the county sperm bank.

  • Robert Conner

Kim Davis has been washed in the blood of Jesus. Jesus should have gone with dry cleaning instead.

  • Dale Snyder

    PEEEEERAZE Traditional “MARIAGE.”

  • geru

Even ignoring the fact that she’s breaking her own principles, I’m tempted to ask that if she had the freedom to make her own mistakes and learn from them, what gives her the authority to stop other people from doing the same? Did Jesus deputize her to stop people from sinning or something?

Again, that’s the problem with Christianity, what they’re doing doesn’t even make sense by their own rules.

    • Piet

There’s also that whole Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged thing happening. Again, not making any sense by their (her) own rules.

    • noni

That’s the beauty of their rules.

      • BlueberriesForMe

It’s the “rules” flexibility that make them so, I don’t know, “convenient”.
“Welllllll, that’s OK for me, but not for you, because I said so, and Jeebus loves me moar because I have sinned moar than ewe so I win.”

        • Bad Tom

Also: I am the Clerk, and You Are Not.

  • davewolfusa

I wonder if all of the organizations who have been supporting her might start thinking twice about hooking their fortunes to her now?

    • Dreaming Vertebrate

You betcha. Their freshly minted martyr just lost much of its luster.

      • noni

        She had luster?

Infectious tuna melt is not luster

    • DaddyRay

Truth has never had any impact on their hate in the past

      • Dreaming Vertebrate

Well, Tony PerKKKins did drop Josh Duggar like a hot potato.
And Kim will be a lot less appealing to Staver’s rich donors now.The stench of unbridled hypocrisy is enough to make even those withered old bigots projectile vomit.

      • Schlukitz

You beat me to the post. lol

  • Dale Snyder

The fat christian pig loves to FUCK outside of “CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE” Obviously!

  • Dale Snyder

Seriously, for $1,000,000 could you fuck that fat christian PIG?

    • Secure

Surely. Then give a huge chunk to a LGBT youth shelter.

    • Arkansan

No, but for those bucks, I might eat the apple out of her mouth if you pay upfront.

  • DaddyRay

Someone needs to print these up and post them around town where Kim frequents

    • johncAtl

If she survives this somehow and runs for reelection count me in on donations to get these printed.

      • DaddyRay

        I would donate to that

      • Eebadee-eebadee-thatsallfolks

There’s only 23,000 people in all of Rowan County. I’m sure they all know by now. In fact, I wonder which one of them tipped off the US News reporter.

        • CanuckDon

          Probably all of them…lol

        • D. J.

There is twenty times the population in the county I live in and no where near the number of printer/copy machines I saw in the photograph. I think some auditing is in order for Rowan County.

          • Eebadee-eebadee-thatsallfolks

Well if somebody in that office could figure out how to change a printer cartridge, they wouldn’t need to keep buying new printers.

          • lymis

But, but, but, in her last statement she said she’s running the office as a for-profit business for the state!

          • lorimakesquilts

Just what I was thinking. My husband grew up in county that’s about half again as big as Rowan County. Six clerks! When we got our license there were two, and the woman that helped us was his great aunt.

    • Arkansan

      “where Kin frequents”

I have to ask, was that a typo? It’s good either way.

      • DaddyRay

        Typo – fixed

    • skeptical_inquirer

You forgot she’s also a dog thief.

      • Six Pins Delores

No one who loves fur babies will ever forget that KIM Davis is a thief.

      • D. J.

I thought her daughter is the dognapper?

        • “Bring up a child in the way she should go and when she is old she will not depart from it.”

Obviously, Kim taught her daughter this thieving behavior.

      • lymis

She’s a dog thief enabler. No indication that she does the dirty work herself.

    • William

Haven’t we all been in that same situation?

      • BlueberriesForMe

I understand that at one time you were married to 3 toasters and were having a sordid affair with the dishwasher. It would not surprise me in the least if a report came out saying something about your relations with the microwave.

        • Bad Tom

          3 toasters AND a microwave!
          Hot! Literally.

        • William

That fling with the blender? Total mistake.

  • Paul Douglas

    Here’s the oath of office she swore on a bible to do when she took office;

“I, ….., do swear that I will well and truly discharge the duties of the office of Rowan County Circuit Court clerk, according to the best of my skill and judgment, making the due entries and records of all orders, judgments, decrees, opinions and proceedings of the court, and carefully filing and preserving in my office all books and papers which come to my possession by virtue of my office; and that I will not knowingly or willingly commit any malfeasance of office, and will faithfully execute the duties of my office without favor, affection or partiality, so help me God.”

    1. She’s committed malfeasance (the performance by a public official of an act that is legally unjustified, harmful, or contrary to law; wrongdoing (used especially of an act in violation of a public trust).

    2. She’s committed partiality (a favorable bias or prejudice).

    3. She’s swore to God that she wouldn’t violate this oath.

That pretty much sums up that she is not a Christian who truly believes the words of the bible and Jesus Christ, but uses it to further her own stupidity.

    • Claude Jacques Bonhomme

      Sums it up nicely.

      • johncAtl

Yeah, but I think she has an out. It says to “the best of my skill and judgement,” and she has neither.

    • b

She violated her American oath. You put it beautifully.

    • genuin truth

Really makes me wonder about all the illegal activity that has happened in that office over the years.

  • david fairfield

Response prediction: “that’s between me and god”. When asked at the hearing if she didn’t think divorce should be scrutinized in the same way she scrutinizes ssm, her response, “that’s between them and god”. Evidently we don’t get the opportunity to have our “sin” be between us and god. That’s reserved for the straights….

  • Secure

She’s going to get slapped down by the Federal Court later this week.

    National Kim Davis (insert) day.

    • MDB

Repent, Lather, Rinse and Repeat ?

      • bkmn

        Blather, Reince, Repeat, Repent.

    • another_steve

If, as I’m sure Kim Davis thinks, gay men become gay because of their exposure to unpleasant women, then Kim Davis will be personally responsible for an absolute explosion of worldwide faggotry.

    • motordog

My religion forbids me from celebrating any Kim Davis day.

  • Michael

    Fucking hypocrite SLUT!!!

  • danolgb

But see? It doesn’t matter. She repented! Unlike us current unrepentant sinners. The Christianistas sure have hitched their wagon to a real winner here.

  • LonelyLiberal

Sorry, honey, it stopped being “between you and your god” when you inserted yourself into other people’s lives.

So now I get to judge you. Whore. And unattractively dressed, with a haircut even Donald Trump couldn’t love. But mostly a whore.

    • bkmn

Said it earlier and I will say it again:

      HO HO HO.

      • LonelyLiberal

Well, yeah, but around Christmas I’m a ho-ho-homosexual.

        • glass

But remember, Je$u$©®℠™ is the reason for the season.

  • motordog

Way too late to add this in, but…Kim, your religious duty ends with YOU not marrying a woman. Just like you have to give licenses to non-Christians and divorced folks (both things your religion ‘allegedly’ abhors), you have to give them to same-sex couples. Keep your face out of another woman’s cooche, and I’m sure that ancient desert nomad god will be fine with you.

  • Six Pins Delores

🙂 Next thing we will hear is that Kim Davis has had many many many aborted pregnancies Come on Kim, let it all out. 🙂

  • TampaZeke

This all sounds so much like my douchebag, hypocritical, thrice married, “washed in the blood of Jeezus” brother it’s scary. If we find out that Kim is a closeted lesbian we’ll have an EXACT match!

    • LonelyLiberal

How do they get the blood of Jesus out of their whites and delicates?

      • Peroxide, works wonder on blood, and isn’t harsh on fabric either.

        • noni

You’re just bragging about your sugarhole havin’ a good pounding.

        • motordog

Those better not be mixed fabrics…or there’s some ‘splainin’ to do!

      • BlueberriesForMe

The “blood” turns to sparkling water when it hits the clothes, making things all bubbly and spark-a-lee.

      • TampaZeke

Haven’t you heard? The”Blood of the Lamb” washes everything white as snow. There’s a song about it in the Baptist hymnal. It’s another Christian miracle. Tide should buy the rights to it!

        • LonelyLiberal

What if I don’t want my sapphire blue shirt to be white as snow?

          • TampaZeke

Oh, silly boy. You haven’t heard? It isn’t about what YOU want. It’s about what Kim Davis and Tony a Perkins and Bryan Fischer and those cake bakers in Oregon and all of the other anointed oracles of GOD, and all things good and holy, decide you should have.

    • Arkansan

Your brother is a closet lesbian? 🙂

    • noni

I think there was some hanky panky between her and her “beloved” mother in law that died 4 years ago. The love that dare not speak it’s name.

      • BlueberriesForMe

        You spoke it. We decide.

      • scooter

Makes sense, most liberals that look like her are at least bi.

  • Tammy Rainey

So, according to her lawyer, Davis made her major fundamentalist turn 4 years ago (when she got saved? I’m unsure how exactly she/he defines the turn) and all that came before is now forgiven and therefore not relevant. Speaking from my experience in the church and with that sort of conversion – and this is for my friends who DON’T have a lot of experience with Traditionalist Christianity –
this sort of thing is VERY common.

You take a person who had religion-in-name-only and did a lot of sinning over the course of several/many years, and that person has a dramatic religious conversion (gets REALLY saved this time) and they will very often have a jag of
several years where they are hyper legalistic and passionate about “old
    fashioned” religion.

Kim Davis is completely familiar to me in that regard, and I have to say that within the context of Traditional Christianity, it is absolutely true that her past sins have no bearing on her trying to be obedient (as she sees it) now. So I’m kinda
reluctant to use this past against her, as tempting as it may be.

    BUT

The fact remains that if you are going to be legalistic about
Scripture, that includes the direct instructions in the New Testament to
“render unto Cesar” and “submit yourself to those in authority over
you” – in that sense she is still failing to be obedient, even within
the context of her beliefs. Because a direct blunt instruction trumps a
    tangential “by association” implication.

    • Ore Carmi

      Thanks for that!

    • LonelyLiberal

      >>So I’m kinda reluctant to use this past against her, as tempting as it may be.

I’m not. So she gets to whore around, spreading it for the guy who would become Husband #3, and then later gets to say it doesn’t count and also act self-superior?

I’m presuming God also sucked the twins back into heaven since they no longer mattered and weren’t a consequence of sinning any longer.

Basically, here is a woman who’s no better than she should be (to use a very old expression), judging the fuck out of others (against the rules) while refusing to do her job (against the render unto Caesar rule as noted). Or, basically no change. She’s as evil a whore as before, she’s just whoring for her little tin-pot god now.

Most of us who realize that actions can have lifelong consequences also realize that disavowing your own actions and motivations is the heart of hypocrisy. She’s denying herself any possibility of learning from it.

Of course, I’m noticing she doesn’t seem big on learning and personal growth to begin with.

      • Schlukitz

        I’m not either!

Christian or no Christian. Conversion of no conversion. This hypocrite should be held to the same exact standards as everyone else.

She does NOT get a get out jail free card.

        She does NOT get forgiveness.

And she certainly does NOT get to be our prison warden or Inquisitor.

  • Kent Calhoun

    This

  • Schlukitz

All day long, I have been so depressed by the fact that Davis opted, despite the latest setback from the SCOTUS, to deny marriage certificates to the same-sex yet again, I was secretly hoping that something like this might come from out of the blue and BOOM, it did.

    Hallelujah!

I wonder what her income tax returns look like??? Any inproprieties there, perhaps?

    • johncAtl

The real question is the $600,000 that her attorneys (Liberty Counsel) spent on email. They are a 501(c)(3) – non-profit, tax-deductible organization. Last I checked sending email was free. And mailing lists for the entire planet don’t cost $600,000!

(What about female-male couples; don’t they deserve the same consideration?!)

    • noni

Joe needs to post that story as his next entry.

      • GC

It’s on a satire site… and an example of Poe’s Law; hard to distinguish it from actual fundamentalist batshittery!

  • octobercountry

Wow, what a huge hypocrite! And I’m sorry, but if she’s going to follow Christian teachings strictly, she does NOT get a free pass for her adultery. Yes, Christians believe that God will forgive everything, but there’s also the “go forth and sin no more” clause to that.

In other words—commit adultery, divorce, and remarry? Yep, you can be forgiven for that. However, you CANNOT continue to commit adultery with your new spouse. If you were the guilty party that caused the marriage to end in divorce, you simply cannot have another sexual relationship without committing adultery afterwards. You pretty much have to remain celibate—only the innocent party in a divorce, who did not break the marriage vows, is permitted to remarry.

Those are the rules, if one is going to say that everything in the Bible is ordained by God and you have to do whatever it says. Of course—we all know that the vast majority of Christians completely ignore this bit of the Bible.

    • GC

But there’s plenty of biblical precedent for a man having two or three or even hundreds of wives at the same time! (Somehow the contemporary Christian “morality police” don’t bother to talk about that….)

  • bkmn

I wish I could have been a fly on the wall when Staver and the rest of the moron squad that is Liberty Counsel were dealing with hubby #4 who wanted to shoot some gays. Good theater.

  • MBear

Problem with acting like youre above everyone else is that it’s a long way to fall

    • LonelyLiberal

Plus when you act like you’re above everybody else, it’s pretty much proof that you’re completely debased and trying to pull one over on everybody else.

It just invites people to dig around in your life.

How do we know she was forgiven? Did she tape the phone conversation with Jesus? Sis anyone hear Him say He forgave her? Does she have the letter that He sent to her? Come on Kim, we want proof and not just your “belief” that you are forgiven. Pretty easy for you to be a hypocritical whore before and now you are leading a life of purity? Come back to reality Kim, you don’t get a pass on this just because you say you do!

  • [email protected]

Just when you think the story can’t get any better, BOOM! It does.

  • Michael

“…but if you continue in it and live in it, there’s a grave danger in that.” Which is exactly what anti-gay activist Kim Davis is doing. Divorce and remarriage under most circumstances, according to the Bible, means adultery. If her husbands committed adultery, she can divorce them, but that’s the only way; otherwise, she’s living in open rebellion to God. Someone needs to warn her if they can get to her when she’s not pointing fingers at everyone else.

  • Isn’t she still “living in it” by being married to her whatever’th husband?

    • safari2bongaloo

I thought her 4th husband was one of the first two?

  • TheManicMechanic

I hope there is a large quarry nearby, we are going to need a whole lot of stones in order to make this harlot right with the Lard.

Don’t forget her own bible also tells us it is perfectly legal to stone non virgins to death.

    • JCF

      Beautiful!

  • Michael Senesac

Sooo, according to Staver’s logic Davis would have been ok with ME before her “conversion.”

  • Arkansan

I’ll bet her tramp stamp is “Praise the Load”.

    • uhhuhh

Oh, please, she has room for a lot more than that!

  • JCF

Dang, was she the woman Jesus talked to at the Samaritan Well?!

How is fucking her fourth husband not continuing to live in the sin?

        • medaka

Excellent — thanks for that! Love the array of her marriage certificates.

          • Adam West

            medaka,

Yes. But more important, according to her own religion, she is continuing to commit adultery on a daily basis, so long as she is married to Joe Davis.

Recall the words of Casey Davis: “That’s something that’s forgivable just like any other sin, but if you continue in it and live in it, there’s a grave danger in that.”

Kim Davis does “continue in it” and “live in it” so long as she is married to Joe Davis. hmmmm…..

          • Schlukitz

One has to wonder if she has all those marriage certificates displayed on the wall above their conjugal bed headboard as trophys and symbols of her whoring accomplishments.

        • zhera

Thanks. I admit I only repeated what I read elsewhere on this blog. Joe Davis is #2 and #4?

Since this hypocritical heifer has placed her beliefs (her opinions, really) above the constitutional rights of her employers, the taxpayers of Rowan County Kentucky–her being a public servant and all–and placed herself squarely in the spotlight of this manufactured controversy, she forfeits her right to surprise or indignation when every last soiled panty of her dirty laundry is aired.

This is the way it works. Liberty council grabs onto what they think is a cash pig. They put lipstick on the pig, as with “religious liberties”. Put her up as a martyr. Now is anything comes up against here, they say, “God has forgiven her, you should too.” Then proceed to rake in the bucks.

  • James Windsor

What stupid ugly hypocrites trying to brush off her hypocrisy while adding their own. Who is she or they she to tell anyone how to live when their own lives are so obviously not who they think they are.

  • John T

She and Maggie Gallagher are peas in a pod — bitter ugly-on-the-inside (and outside) women who keep fucking up their own family lives and then they feel compelled to scold and demean others for not doing it “right”. If they didn’t actually have the power to affect others’ lives, we could just laugh at them.

That is precisely why I get so angry with people who say we should just ignore them.

That’s exactly what people like Davis are hoping for, so that they can continue to do their dirty in the dark like the filthy cockroaches that they are.

  • zhera

I’m beginning to understand how Davis’ daughter can be so fundamentally lacking in morality and ethics. She’s obviously been brought up with the idea that you can do any damn thing you want and no one can or will punish you.

Unfortunately, until they actually DO something to her, they’re just reinforcing that character.

Exactly, the daughter was raised by a Democrat harpy, it’s no surprise she doesn’t think consequences are a real thing.

  • Well, she says to obey the Bible….

  • Mike Dent

If Jesus forgave her all that, can’t he just forgive her for giving out marriage licenses too? Or is he just as selective as is followers?

  • Michael Senesac

Theologians have debated the meaning of the bible for centuries. But Ms. Davis, in just 4 years, has…….

  • LADY MABELINE

    Praise Jesus.

  • mark99k

Why am I not even tiniest bit surprised?

    • anne marie in philly

      she’s a slut!

  • Tom G

A sad beginning to a glorious story. So glad she’s now protecting marriage from ruin by the gays.

  • justmeeeee

Well, yes, that “free reset” trick does work, so maybe all Kim needs to do is sign the gay-marry licenses, and after she retires she can beg forgiveness and it’ll all be ok. Or she could beg forgiveness at the end of each work day. Or on her cigarette breaks.

  • Adam West

Wait a minute! I get it now! The reason Courts have ruled against Kim Davis is because “the Lord” has not forgiven her & is now punishing her for her sins … (snark)

  • saucetin

“Stone her,” they say in The Life of Brian. Stone her. She should self-deport, to the land of the Stoned. #NotAmsterdam

  • Gustav2

    “She was 180 degrees changed.”

Yeah, now she is a slut for Jesus.

  • canoebum

It really is Jerry Springer’s world, folks. We’re all just living in it.

Well… actually reformed prigs and prudes are LOADS of fun! 😉

  • Irishsupporter

I really don’t see the point of this story other than to make her look stupid and she’s doing that well enough by herself, I’m disappointed in joe for posting it!!!

    • medaka

I’m disappointed in joe for posting it!!!

Your schadenfreude meter needs adjusting, dear! 😉

    • BlueberriesForMe

Oh, honey. If you don’t see the point, you’re going to need corrective lenses ASAP.
It’s not about her being “stupid”. It’s EVERYTHING to do with ‘marriage’ and what ‘God’ wants. C’mon. And these unfortunate couples who have had to deal with her and this office.

      • Irishsupporter

Please dont get the idea that i support her in any way her actions are both illegal, disgusting and shows very little feeling for her fellow man, i just don’t see what her actions before she became a christian (which she did 4 years ago) have to do with the current situation!

        • medaka

          The get-out-of-Jeebus-hell-free hypocrite card.
It has everything to do with it.

          • Irishsupporter

Yeah it does now, that shes found religion and is using that to discriminate against gay people in the county, but her actions before she found religion 4 years ago have little to do with it!!!

          • Stev84

Thinking that everything you do can be ignored and forgiven is a sign that someone lacks morality.

          • medaka

She needs to OWN her slutty, pre-Jeebus self.

In public. Now. The public that pays her fucking salary.

        • BlueberriesForMe

Her actions BEFORE and SINCE she “became a christian” have EVERYTHING to do with this situation. This person is who the “Moral Majority” and the “Christianists” have “chosen” to be their “spokesperson”. You know, the ones who “believe” same-sex marriage is an “abomination”.

“Marriage” is a “God-given institution”? She’s just a “clean slate” for you at this point, is that it? I don’t know if you’re a frequent reader of this blog but here’s an example:

Tony Perkins – “former” KKK member/leader. “Not anymore” per Tony. Whatever’s expedient, right? People can “change”, right? Remind me – I’ve got a nice little bridge in Brooklyn, NY that’s for sale at a great price.

If you can’t “see” this, please join your fellow “commenter” “John Newman” for a celebratory drink. Look at that, there’s more than one of “you” in the world.
          Hearty congratulations to you both.

    • glass

The point is… she is an Apostolic Christian, that means that EVERY word in the bible is taken literally, yes LITERALLY. The impossible story of Noah and the flood, LITERALLY true in their eyes.
But apparently when Jesus©®℠™ bleeds on you, all your past crimes go away. How convenient that there is a way out of your past sins that you would have burned in hell for.

She is a hypocrite and she should have quit her job and worked for Jesus©®℠™, but instead she gets to be a bigot, who is going to lose, burned into American history forever.

She is news because this behavior is wrong, and posting it reminds people that it’s unacceptable to be a hypocrite and a bigot.

Where does she minister to the sick? Where does she help the poor? She has the kind of selfish, ego-driven, single issue “xtianity” that is so disgusting (not nearly a strong enough word). Show me the legal precedent where “god’s forgiveness” has prevailed in a secular court. Oh, didn’t think so. The real villain here is Staver and his ilk who are using this woman. I’d feel sorry for her if she wasn’t using this to promote her selfish (anti-xtian) ends. She’ll fail in the court, get her bump of “fame” and be dropped by Staver in a hot minute.

You know, I’m a night person, so when I get around to reading and commenting it’s usually long past everyone else has seen these stories. But I did read about this in Dan Savage’s post early last night and it has literally taken me this long to get to the point where I can take more of this story or to check back for updates on this crazy bitch. I was so overcome by schadenfreude that I literally had to take a Xanax. The Christers love to talk about the book of revelations. One more revelation about this woman and I am literally going to turn into my avatar.

    • BlueberriesForMe

If there was ever an argument about the separation of “church” and state and “sincerely deeply held religious beliefs”, this ‘episode’ is the example to end all examples. It is laughable in so many ways but at the same time, everyday people’s lives are seriously affected.

  • Jeffg166

She’s possessed by the demon of Jezebel. Now it all makes sense.

    • SockMikey

Kim seems to be like a Motel 6 for Jezebel. 🙂

  • SockMikey

I really don’t understand why convicts on death row that repent and confess their sins are still executed.

Wouldn’t their slates be “wiped clean” rendering the carrying out of justice unnecessary?

Or is it just another selective application of religious principals that just extends into their own personal religious realm?

  • Strepsi

For I sayeth unto you, Kim Davis is the Whore of Babylon! Riding into town upon her seven-headed Beast (her clerks) and holding the men in thrall of her Satanic wiles!

Another thing that did not escape my notice is that the mother of Kim Davis, Jean Bailey was the County Clerk before her for 37 years.

    http://www.themoreheadnews.com/news/local_news/davis-following-her-mother-as-county-clerk/article_29982458-6689-11e4-ad6b-172bf9700635.html

“I will be the very best working clerk that I can be and will be a good steward of their tax dollars and follow the statutes of this office to the letter.” – Kim Davis – Nov 2014

Kim also was working in the County Clerks office while her mother was.

She definitely comes off as being the self-proclaimed ruler of her County Clerk empire.

I wonder what her “redneck hillbilly” (his own self-description) husband Joe does for a living?

Kim started working for her mother at 22 (as soon as she graduated from the local state college?). This (and her families) is the only thing she’s ever done. Her son now works for her and she was probably envisioning him taking over in another 17 years.

Everybody is still missing the point. There is another clerk’s office nearby that will issue the marriage license to this gay couple or any gay couple or any straight couple. You just drive over there and get your marriage license. These people are not interested in getting married. If they truly were, they would drive to the office where they could get the license. But they won’t. They keep coming back here to antagonize and make a spectacle of themselves. Just go get your license and get married. It is as simply as that.

I think your response says it all. You are ignoring reasonable questions and only acknowledging insults or red herrings. You clearly are only interested in the insults, so you shouldn’t complain when you get what you came here for.

          • John Newman

I must admit that you seem to be fairly level-headed. You have not called me names or responded with filth. We, you and I, have a difference of opinion and seem to be able to communicate our differences to one another. Too bad others here are not using your example.

If you think I’m going to join in with the adolescent name calling and vile rhetoric that has been directed to me by supporters of this cause, you are mistaken. But I will repeat this. If these people truly want to marry, then go to an office where the license will be issued without delay and get married.

          • medaka

You STILL DON’T FUCKING GET IT.

They should be able to marry anywhere, in every county, in all fifty fucking states.

          • Irishsupporter

Exactly and this clerk has no right to stop them!!!

          • medaka

Thank you, hon! I know you were taking the high road with your original comment, but there is no high road with these chavs.

          • motordog

Exactly! It’s the LAW OF THE LAND! Davis doesn’t get to do whatever she pleases…she has to obey the law or face the consequences…just like every one of us! If she doesn’t want to do her job, then she should give up her position to someone who will. If she’s sincere in her faith, then giving up her job should be a no brainer. It’s as if a clerk in a porn store refused to sell pornography because of morality…then why the fuck do they work in a porn store!?

          • Schlukitz

That is not the issue….and you know it.

You are just here to provoke. Like other bigoted, fag-hating Christians, you rabbit-punch people and then feign indignation when someone calls you what you deserve to be called.

          • John Newman

You appear to be hysterical. Please calm down.

          • Schlukitz

The only one hysterical here, is you. LMAO at your bullshit.

          • John Newman

Oh, … by the way, … I am gay and have been with my partner for 23 years this December. We are extraordinarily happy. Not all 23 years have been extraordinarily happy. We have had our ups and downs. But it all worked out in the end. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2013 and I saw him through that. Chemo and radiation were horrible, but he made it through and has had two years of clean body scans. We are starting to search for retirement communities since we will be of retirement age much sooner than either of us would like. We are not married. We likely will never be. We love each other and care for each other and we be there for each other hopefully for another 23 years. A marriage license has nothing to do with that. Our finances are all set up so that when one goes the other is taken care of. This is how two adult, mature, educated and intelligent men go about putting their lives together. So when you call me a “bigoted, fag-hating Christian,” nothing could be further from the truth. Except for being a Christian, which I am. You need to grow up and get a grip.

          • BlueberriesForMe

“This is how two adult, mature, educated and intelligent men go about putting their lives together.”

My goodness, you do think a lot of yourself and your “partner”, don’t you? “Mature” and “educated” and “intelligent” – all 3? Really? Hold on, I’ll get the special medal ready.

It’s fine if you don’t want to get married. That’s your decision. But a lot of people do want to. AND, they should, BY LAW, be able to do that where they live. Sure, these couples could go to another courthouse. But as someone else wrote above, when/where does it stop? You think it’s no big deal. Wait until you’re denied recognition of your “relationship” in spite of how “you put your life together”. Then maybe you’ll “get it”. But somehow I doubt it.

          • zhera

Maybe there aren’t many retirement communities who accept gay couples?
Not that I want anyone to be victims of bigotry, but perhaps ‘John Newman’ will change his tune then?

          • John Newman

As I clearly stated, sweetie, we have been together for nearly 23 years. We have never been “denied recognition” of our relationship. Of course, we don’t flaunt it. We are two masculine men who act like men and nobody has a problem with that. And yes, I do think a lot of myself and my partner.

          • Christopher Smith

‘of course, we don’t flaunt it….we are two masculine men who act like men.’
No, you are two self-loathing homophobes who cannot deal with anything outside the standard heterosexual stereotypes in any way. Can’t deal with anyone open (‘flaunting’), less than posturingly and pathetically trying to appear butch (‘masculine’) or anyone who actually deserves to exercise his legal rights. You two are very, very sad.

          • Schlukitz

“A marriage license has nothing to do with that. Our finances are all set up so that when one goes the other is taken care of. This is how two adult, mature, educated and intelligent men go about putting their lives together.”

So, it would most likely not be unreasonable of me to think that you probably voted against marriage equality each and every time the issue came up.

Something also tells me that you are a registered member of the Log Cabin Republicans as well.

I’m waiting for your rant about the same-sex couple who traveled from Columbus, OH to Rowan County, KY to obtain a marriage certificate today and were denied. No doubt, you’ll be sharing with us how they were just being trouble-makers and rabble-rousers who should have minded their own business and who could have filed for a marriage certificate in their own home town.

          • John Newman

I am not a member of the Log Cabin Republicans. They are a little too liberal for me.

          • John Newman

I knew nothing about this until I read your post. t is just another sad example of the lengths people will go to for attention.

          • Schlukitz

And of course your posts are such pearls of wisdom that they seek no attention whatsoever.

          • John Newman

You are angry. Why are you so angry?

          • Schlukitz

Shit-stirrers lke John Newman never respond to direct questions put to them.

They just keep skirting the issue and do their little hat dance.

        • Schlukitz

          My, aren’t we self-righteous.

    • Reality.Bites

Here’s the real point – go fuck yourself you bigoted piece of shit.

      • John Newman

That’s nice. This is an example of the kind of people they are dealing with.

      • William

Peter Wide has a new name today.

    • GayOldLady

No, it’s just as simple as this. The couple applying for a marriage license are citizens of Rowan County and as such they are entitled to apply for and receive a marriage license in their County of Residence. We’re here and we’re not going away. YOU and those like you who think we should accommodate your prejudices are going to have to GET OVER IT!!!

    • D. J.

The couples should be served equally in every county courthouse. These couples live, work and pay taxes in and to Rowan County. If that is where they want to make their application that is where they should make their application. They should not be forced to walk away empty handed. They should leave, license in hand.

      • Irishsupporter

Exactly they are citizens of the county and have the right to have their application process there, she does not ave a right to deny them that!!

    • Blackfork

But that still doesn’t solve the problem of her office’s bigotry and discrimination against those who simply want to marry and make their relationships official. But, if you’re right, if Davis won’t give out any licenses then what is the purpose of her department at all?

    • Adam West

John, you are missing the point. Kim Davis gave an oath to uphold the laws of this land – of which she is now violating. She should either do her job or resign.

PS> Kim Davis is not really concerned with practicing her religion as she is continuing to violate her own religion as her own religion says that if she remarries – she is living in sin by committing adultery.

      • GayOldLady

He’s not “missing the point”, he’s a supporter of Kim Davis who’s here to defend her. His comment clearly shows he’s in Rowan County

    • GayOldLady

“But they won’t. They keep coming back here to antagonize and make a spectacle of themselves.”

Well, thank you John Newman for telling us where you are. Are you just a resident of Rowan County or an employee of the Court House?
BTW….Tell your boss WE’RE going to KEEP ON COMING TO THE ROWAN COUNTY COURTHOUSE UNTIL SOMEONE ISSUES MARRIAGE LICENSES TO SAME SEX COUPLES. Book it!!!!!

    • D. J.

Kim Davis is the one making a spectacle of herself.

    • medaka

      “John Newman?”

You’ve got to be fucking kidding.

    • “It is as simply as that.”

Well, clearly, someone has a simple mind.

      • medaka

        Or a simply mind.

      • John Newman

You see how they are. I made a typo. My mistake. I wrote “simply” rather than “simple.” I am an adult and I can admit when I make a mistake. I misspelled a word.

    • motordog

Hey, John…is this good xtian woman EVER going to give that guy back his dog? You know, the one she stole? Just curious…

      • John Newman

What does that have to do with the issuance or non-issuance of a license to marry? You people are all letting your emotions take over and you are responding to my post with threats and filth for reasons unknown to me. I did not state anywhere in my post that gay couples should not marry. If there are gay couples who want to marry, they should marry. If they think that is the right thing to do, then marry. I attended a gay marriage this summer for two of my dearest friends. It is the law of the land now, so do it. All I am saying is, if this office is giving you the runaround and will not issue the license and there is an office that will issue the license without any delay that is just a few miles away, why would you waste your time going back to this office. If you really want to marry, get the license and get married. If you want to make a spectacle of yourself and the situation, then keep going back to the same office with camera crews.

        • motordog

My question has NOTHING to do with issuances of licenses. I asked a question that was off topic. If you don’t want to answer, then don’t answer. She stole a dog, she should give it back. It’s the moral thing to do.

          • John Newman

But we are not discussing stolen dogs on this board today. We are discussing the problem with gay couples not being issued marriage licenses in a particular clerk’s office. Is there a separate post where they are discussing an alleged theft of a dog by this woman. I have not seen that.

          • motordog

I’ll ask any question I like, dear. Feel free to lodge a complaint with Joe if you think I’m being disruptive to the conversation at hand. So…that man is never going to see his dog again, is he?

          • John Newman

Why would I lodge a complaint with Joe. I don’t want to lodge a complaint with Joe nor anyone else. Why does everything have to reach a point of lodging a complaint. I just said I don’t know what you are talking about with regard to someone stealing a dog and that I did not see how that was relevant to the conversation on this board. That’s all. I don’t know who had a dog stolen from them. I hope they get the dog back. I would be devastated if someone stole my dog. He is my life.

        • motordog

Well, if you want ‘on topic’…
So, if a diner refuses to serve a black man because of his race, and another diner will serve him, then he should just go to the other diner? What if a doctor doesn’t want to heal a sick man because of his beliefs…should the sick man find another doctor? What if the other doctor is miles away? What you’re missing is the big picture. County clerks can refuse to do their job, but others can’t? This ‘exemption’ nonsense has to be nipped in the bud.

          • John Newman

If I went to a restaurant and the management of the restaurant and the people serving me clearly did not want to serve me for any reason – the color of my skin, my sexual orientation, my appearance, the sound of my voice, the style of my clothes, my weight – whatever the reason, I would leave. I would go to a restaurant where the people were friendly and nice and welcomed me and my partner and wanted our business. I would gladly eat in that restaurant and I would want to spend my money there. I would not want to give my money to the other restaurant that clearly did not want my business. Why would you want to give your money to someone who despises you? That makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. Not everybody likes everybody. It would be the first restaurants loss not to have me and my partner as customers. That’s how you handle it. I would not keep going back to the restaurant that hated me demanding they serve me. I don’t want those people having my money. Same with the doctor. Especially with the doctor. I don’t want someone who doesn’t like me handling my medical care. That would be akin to committing suicide.

          • motordog

Hmm…so, if you were bleeding out from a serious accident, and the next doctor was miles away, you’d just take the trip? What if your house was on fire, and the firefighters chose not to put out the fire, but helpfully pointed out that another fire department would be happy to help you? You ignored my last point…county clerks should be allowed to not do their job, but other people can’t? Why draw any sort of line when we can just agree that everyone should do their job?

          • John Newman

Now you are taking it to the absurd. You have become hysterical over the issue. Bleeding out and houses on fire and all of this ridiculousness. Everyone should do their job. I do my job. There are certain things I am asked to do that I do not particularly like, but I do them because I have bills to pay and a car note and all the other stuff that everybody else has. I do not feel that I am asked to do anything in my job that interferes with my religious beliefs. I may not like some of the tasks, but I suffer through. I am not asked to lie or cheat or do anything I find morally reprehensible. Clearly this woman feels that she is being asked to do something which she deems morally reprehensible. The difference with me and you and many others here is that I can look at this situation from both sides. You are blinded by your anger. All I’m saying is, until the situation can be resolved, drive to the other office and get your marriage license. The couple says they want to get married. Then get your license and get married and stop wasting time going back to this office and fighting over the issue. It will eventually resolve itself and by then you will be happily married.

    • Schlukitz

The one missing the point here, is clearly you.

    • Eric in Oakland

“There is another clerk’s office nearby that will issue the marriage license to this gay couple or any gay couple or any straight couple. You just drive over there and get your marriage license.”

You’re repeating lines from apologists of racial segregation. “There is another lunch counter or school nearby that will serve your kind.”

And if one government clerk is allowed to break the law, then what will stop other government employees from doing the same thing? If every clerk in the state stopped issuing licenses then Kentuckians should just go to another state to get married? And if government employees can refuse to do this part of their job, what is to stop them from refusing to do other parts of their job?

      • LonelyLiberal

        Totally agreed!

The “This Leads to Chaos” argument, which is more or less why no court has ultimately ever allowed any government official to withhold services once the Supreme Court has ruled. Sometimes that’s also required force in the form of the National Guard.

A patchwork of available services to certain segments of the population and not others is not viable, not to mention violating the Fourteenth Amendment, among other sections of the Constitution. Of course, these people aren’t big on rendering unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, of course…they need to own it all or they’re not special enough.

      • John Newman

Well, now, let’s not take it to the absurd. Really. This has not happened. What if, what if. What if the world ends tomorrow? Then we don’t have anything to worry about at all now do we. Just relax. All I am saying is that if it is easier to get the marriage license at a different office, why not just do it. Why keep taking camera crews to this office. Do you want to get married or not? This couple could already be married.

        • motordog

It is my opinion that you are short sighted. I assume you will disagree. We appear to be at an impasse. Seeing as how everyone has had their say on this particular thread, and nothing new is being added, perhaps we should end it to avoid tedious repetition.

          • John Newman

I agree. I’m down with that.

          • Christopher Smith

Clearly you didn’t bother to read the thousands of other trolling comments ‘John Newman’ (pseudonym much? LOL) posted on this thread.

        • Eric in Oakland

“Well, now, let’s not take it to the absurd. Really. This has not happened.”

But it has happened with regard to other minorities, so it is clearly not absurd. It is also what people on your side are advocating. Kala Moore, for instance, stated that millions more should follow Davis’ lead.

All I am saying is that if it is easier to get the marriage license at a different office, why not just do it.”

Because they are fighting for a principle that is important, just like the brave men and women who sat down at “whites only” lunch counters to demand service. They could have gotten a meal at another restaurant that would serve blacks, but they were fighting for equality, just as these couples today.

          • John Newman

Stop living in the past. Look forward.

          • Christopher Smith

forward to the ‘Biblical theocracy’ these people publicly advocate?
            You moron.

          • John Newman

Be positive. Find something good in life that you can enjoy rather than spending your time fill with such hatred.

          • Christopher Smith

‘positive’ like the trolling, stereotypical, cliche-ridden posts with which you’ve littered this thread? You would have no idea of what ‘positive’ means, nor do you understand anything about hatred, which you so dazzlingly exemplify.

          • John Newman

            Such a sad individual.

          • Christopher Smith

            Such a delusional man.

          • Eric in Oakland

“Stop living in the past. Look forward.”

Exactly! Kim Davis is living in the past. The days of being able to deny licenses to gays and lesbians are in the past. She needs to accept reality and move forward.

          • John Newman

I have stated that gay marriage is the law of the land now. She will eventually need to accept that. But for a couple that truly wants to marry to continue to go to the same office over and over with their camera crew is an exercise in futility. If they truly want to marry, they should go to the office which will be happy to issue the marriage license and get married. They could already be married. In the time that this has all been going on, they could have already married and returned from their honeymoon.

          • Eric in Oakland

“But for a couple that truly wants to marry to continue to go to the same office over and over with their camera crew is an exercise in futility. If they truly want to marry, they should go to the office which will be happy to issue the marriage license and get married. They could already be married. In the time that this has all been going on, they could have already married and returned from their honeymoon.”

Yes, they could. Instead they are willing to postpone their happiness and risk their security in order to fight for justice, which is commendable. If it weren’t for people like these brave couples, then rogue government officials like Davis would be allowed to continue to violate the law and others might follow her example.

          • John Newman

Why would anyone do that? Why would you postpone your happiness and put yourself through all of this ridiculousness. Life is too short. Just get the marriage license and get married and let what will happen to this woman happen. Why are they getting all tangled up in it. OK. They don’t like the fact that she will not issue a marriage license. Go someplace that will and get married and start your happy life together.

          • Eric in Oakland

“Why would anyone do that? “

I thought I explained the reason pretty clearly in my previous post. Or are you saying you don’t understand self sacrifice and altruism?

          • John Newman

            I would not do that.

        • zhera

So where do you draw the line? How far should SS couples have to drive to find a clerk willing to give them a licence? How many miles can we allow there to be between hotels/motels/inns who accept gay guests? Or bakeries? Or grocery stores? Or restaurants?

You. are. missing. the. point. And I bet you’re working very hard at doing just that.

          • LonelyLiberal

At this point, my bet’s on a BP sockpuppet (amusingly, I typed suckpuppet at first). It has exactly the same slack-jawed quasi-Libertarian views of allowing limited services to one given sector of the populace and uses the same incoherent argument that driving some given distance (never specified) is somehow acceptable.

      • Chiennoir

“There is another lunch counter or school nearby that will serve your kind.”

I am old enough to remember that. And it wasn’t pretty. I remember the catty local ladies whispering about “dodging a bullet” because a “Negro family” had decided not to move into our neighborhood.

Those segregation laws are history, and so is marriage discrimination. This silly cow can hate all she wants, but her job is to uphold the law of the land as defined by the Supreme Court. No one is asking her to approve of anything, just do her damn job or get out.

        • Eric in Oakland

I’m old enough to remember it too. During the fight to desegregate schools my mother received death threats because she refused to take me out of school and because I walked to school with a couple of black girls I was friends with. It was a scary time that the bigots want to repeat.

    • LonelyLiberal

      Obvious troll is obvious.

She’s not doing her sworn and legally-required duty by refusing marriage licenses. Therefore, she’s not upholding her oath of office. Therefore, she needs a legal spanking. QED.

Forcing people to drive any additional distance, or to use another office other than their chosen one (which is approved and perfectly legal in Kentucky) is violating their rights as citizens of the state. Also QED.

    • zhera

You’re the one who’s missing the point. Discrimination is discrimination. Why should gay people have to accept fewer rights than straight people? THE LAW says that Davis must issue these licences. Why is Davis above the law?

  • xzargo

Her punishment should be a year in a jail cell with Josh Duggar.

    • Reality.Bites

      That would only punish him.

      a) He’d never touch her

      2) compared to her husband, he’s eye candy.

    • Adam West

      Great punishment … for both

  • olandp

    How convenient.

  • billbear1961

Forgiven, in the past, best forgotten . . . and NOW she can judge others and decide their punishment. Oh, don’t worry–she only wants to judge gay people–everyone else continues to get a FREE PASS. No questions asked!

THEIR transgressions are between them and GOD–a private matter–no one else’s business!

    But gay people? The Bible says . . . the BIBLE SAYS . . . ! ! !

What does it say about YOU, you filthy, goddamned, two-faced BASTARDS?!

“How DARE you, queer?! That’s DIFFERENT! You mind your wicked place!!”

    FUCK these evil HYPOCRITES!!

While he said NOTHING about US, Christ’s stance on divorce and remarriage to others is crystal clear!

Divorce and marry someone else–even ONE someone else–and you are guilty of ADULTERY!

Millions of evangelical Christians are, in the eyes of their Lord and Saviour, unrepentant sinners bound for HELL!

I don’t want to hear how they’ve been forgiven, because they HAVEN’T, not according to their Lord and Saviour!!

Stick THAT in your goddamned pipe and smoke it!

Better yet, ram it up your filthy ASSES!!

    • Eric in Oakland

“Forgiven, in the past, best forgotten.”

Except that it’s NOT in the past. She is still living in sin with a man who is not her original husband.

      • billbear1961

I think she HAS gone back to her original husband–number 4 was also the first.

But I’m not sure, and don’t CARE.

The point remains that this woman has NO business sitting in judgement on others! The galling hypocrisy of it!

You’d think that her MANY sins would teach her humility and NOT to judge others, which according to the Bible, is GOD’S business, not hers!

She never felt obliged to make people filing for a license pass her very own personal religious morality test BEFORE Obergefell.

She didn’t care about the grievous sins of heterosexual couples, NO!

This isn’t about religious beliefs–it’s about using religion as a cover–an excuse–to punish gays, and gays ALONE!

It’s about BIGOTRY, pure and simple.

There will be NO religious test imposed on citizens by ANY government official–it would be a violation of the Establishment Clause.

It would mean the end of the Rule of Law and CHAOS.

  • Danny Higgins

OMFG..she didn’t even marry the twins father butgot some other idiot to marry her and adopt them…then she kept f**king the actual father until husband # 2 caught her and divorced her and THEN she married the actual father….bet her divorce from him was adultery too….Herpes alert!!!!! STD breeder/spreader. God forgave her yet she can’t forgive other people…what is that line in the Lord’s Prayer whore?

  • David Cooper

She’s been on more wiener’s then Heinz Ketchup!!!!!!

    • Circ09

She’s Exhibit A that men will put it anywhere if given the opportunity.

        Given enough tequila, yes.

  • TheBride

This woman is a walking conflict.

  • Larry Larson

    http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/ct-kentucky-gay-marriage-20150902-story.html

“She married her first husband, Dwain Wallace, when she was 18, and divorced him in 1994.
She acknowledged in a 2008 divorce filing having had two children out of wedlock in 1994.
In 1996, at age 30, she married Joe Davis for the first time. They divorced in 2006.
The next year, at 40 years old, Davis wed Thomas McIntryre, though their marriage lasted less than a year. She re-married Joe Davis in 2009.”

    • motordog

She’s making a mockery of the holy institution of marriage. I hope when she wants her NEXT marriage license, the clerk has the good sense to cut her off based on religious grounds…it’s for her own good!

    • Larry Larson

Let’s use her full name from now on: Mrs. Kimberly “Kim” Bailey Wallace Davis McIntyre Davis

  • Igby

She is an elected official. I would love to read the Oath of Office that she swore to uphold. How can we get a copy?

  • SFHarry

If the Lord can forgive her, surely I can,” Casey Davis says. “That’s something that’s forgivable just like any other sin.
Except the punishment for adultery was death (Leviticus 20:10). In the New Testament, it is still eternal death (Romans 6:23)

  • Mark Moore

Where does this woman get her morals?

    • GanymedeRenard

      From the Duggars.

    • motordog

From the rambling, heavily-edited, collected beliefs of an Iron Age cult of desert-dwelling goat herders, selected by some uneducated men hundreds of years later, then translated multiple times and edited some more. As true and relevant today as it was so many years ago. Praise!

    • Jean-Marc in Canada

I believe she got them here. They were in the Bargain bin, next to the Jesus Miracle Foot Massage

  • Balderdashing

“But all that doesn’t matter because my Bible says what I want it to!”

  • Ragnar Lothbrok

    Sanctimonious WHORE !

  • marecek21

Yeah, but she’s been saved since then, so it’s all good. NOT!!!

    • LonelyLiberal

Forgiveness doesn’t mean one forgets, or that the forgiven isn’t required to provide restitution for their transgressions.

  • Mark Zorro

What a terrifying monster. One of the reasons why so many intelligent people are fleeing from evil religions such as Christianity and the other Abrahamic religions.

  • One of the CA 36,000+

I myself am Southern and am having a hard time following this latest bit of back woods “family relations”; could someone please whip up some kind of diagram explaining it? And how many of these slack-jawed Cletuses are cousins to this Sack of Sanctimony?

And honestly: How much meth and Aunt-Grandma’s moonshine did these guys ingest to be able to fuck HER?

Note to Kim Davis: The Hillbilly Brow Lift isn’t helping. Cut your losses, comb your hair over your face and rename yourself Cousin It. Do the world a favor.

    • Kissmagrits

In 1960, while visiting Great Aunt Della in eastern Tennessee, I was introduced to a number of townspeople. Later, making subtle reference to my late evangelical grandfather, she suggested I had met several “unofficial” cousins and had I noticed
      a family resemblance?

But then, the Lord commanded us: “Be fruitful and multiply”, didn’t He?

      Cousin It? I love it.

  • Chiennoir

Oh, please. Any real Christian knows Jesus doesn’t “save” people so they can run around spewing vitriol in his name. If she were as “devout” as she says, she would have resigned rather than compromise her “deeply held” beliefs. This woman is a sad, hateful little mouse fart whose fifteen minutes of fame have run out. She is in contempt of court. Let her thump her Bible in jail.

  • Equality4all

Mustering up my best Church Lady impression….”So little miss slutty married four times but now everything is all forgiven…how conVENient”. I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t have wanted to issue licenses to gay couples even if she was still her non-christian slutty self. This is about making herself feel like a special little superior snowflake, not religion.

  • William Oscar Hand

I find it difficult to believe that there have been four men willing to be around that stupid slack ugly thing, much less get her pregnant. She makes me shudder. Not because of her current religious beliefs, but because she insists on keeping a job whose duties require that she do something she does not believe in. Simply put, she should resign.

    • Kissmagrits

She probably didn’t always look like this – maybe even cute in an
early ’70s trailer park sort of way. Now, you’d have to roll her in some pastry flour and look for the wet spot.

Damn! Did I just say that with the same mouth I intend to eat with?

      • Tor

No. You typed it with the fingers you intend to diddle yourself with.

      • marecek21

“maybe even cute in an early ’70s trailer park sort of way”

Oh, please STOP. I’m trying to eat my lunch AND keep it down.

    • Stev84

With her 80k per year salary she is probably one of the richest people there

  • Joseph Falco

I’ve been saved! And that includes the Piggly Wiggly I stuck up in Yazoo City

    • marecek21

And the security guard you “regrettably” had to knock off in the process.

    • doktor_wankenstein

Thumbs up for the O Brother, Where Art Thou reference.

  • Jim Olson

You know, all of this bs just makes my job as a liberal, progressive Christian pastor so much harder. *sigh*

  • Linda Massell Lane

I am not here to judge this woman BUT this woman needs to do her job or be fired. She was hired to perform certain duties not to convert people or restrict anyone from anything she deems not Christian according to the bible. If gays want to marry and it’s been made legal as a law then it is their sin not hers, she is just giving them paperwork.

    • LonelyLiberal

Gee, that’s mighty white of you. Thanks so much. Really.

      • zhera

She’s not here to judge Kim Davis, but she doesn’t have any problem with judging gays and their ‘sins’.

        • LonelyLiberal

Exactly. Hypocrisy is always rather conveniently placed, and I’m sure I wouldn’t be allowed to judge any of her sins. Hypocrisy, of course, being one of them. Hubris, #2.

      • Linda Massell Lane

It’s a fact, don’t understand your snide comment. Then again, lonely people will throw out comments just to get attention.

        • LonelyLiberal

How nicely judgmental of you. I think your little book has some warning about that?

          • Linda Massell Lane

My little book, oh you mean the Bible? My statement about it being the gay couples “sin” if it is a sin, meant that each of us has to face our own God with the things we have done in life that we believe to be sinful. It is her job to process paperwork, processing paperwork isn’t a sin. There are many things done in this world that some consider sinful but each person has a choice and will be judged in the end on only their choices, it isn’t for another to decide for them. OK troll, I’m done with you.

          • LonelyLiberal

Too long, text exhibits too much mental illness, didn’t read.

Would that you were done. Your type just keeps coming back, certain that they have the truth of the Universe in 600 pages. It’s amusing, but eventually even I lose interest and go read Science Daily or something constructive.

          • Christopher Smith

Dear, it’s you who are the BuyBull thumping troll, and we are so weary of your recycled cliches. Do get a few new lame talking points.

        • Christopher Smith

You describe yourself perfectly there, Linda-‘lonely’ and ‘snide’. However, you forgot ‘abysmally ignorant.’

    • marecek21

I can’t understand the snarky comments in reaction. I think Linda is quite correct and I did not understand her comment as asserting she views homosexuality as a sin. She is essentially saying, whatever may be someone’s belief as to what constitutes sin (and freedom of religion allows us all to have different conceptions), while we respect that form of diversity (as well as others) we all have to live in one society, which requires a unified set of rules as to how that society will function as a whole (the law). Ms. Davis is there to administer the law, not to interject her religious views into the law. Further, Davis’ work in no way involves her in the actions of others she deems sinful. Certifying that two people meet the state/federal eligibility standards for marriage is in no way a decision “allowing” them to marry (that is mandated by the law, not her), nor is it an endorsement. Either she is making that up or she has been led down the garden path by religious fanatics who are trying to dupe believers into continuing their holy war.

Have I understood you correctly, Linda?

      • Linda Massell Lane

Thank you, it is exactly what I meant. Thanks for coming to my defense where my lack of explanation was so eloquently written by you.

        • marecek21

No problem. Happy to be of assistance.

    • Christopher Smith

Linda, darling, SHE is not here to judge US—nor are YOU.

  • Jax Blaze

    lol,
so in a christian country she would have been stoned to death, a long
time back. And she feel righteous to deny marriage license to gays.

    a) The sins she committed washed away in religion VS

    b) the sins others committed in which she takes no part and only hands over the license as part of her job.

So the God who forgive sin A cannot forgive sin B ? Amazing belief system.

  • the real Jesse James

    ADULTERER . . .

  • Gerry Fisher

    >But according to Liberty Counsel president Mat Staver, Kim has since been washed in the blood of Jesus, so all is forgiven.

That’s not the point (even if it wasn’t sky fairy juju nonsense). The point is that, as she was adulterating around, she was treated with respect by government officials, treated equally under the law, and granted civil divorces and marriage licenses just like any other citizen. How about doing unto others the same way, Kimmy?

  • Kissmagrits

Mein Gott! This women is apparently as fecund as she is ugly!

  • marecek21

The converts are ALWAYS the worst, most doctrinaire and least charitable. Take, for example, Saints Paul and Augustine. Augustine, especially, enjoyed a youth of debauchery then, after he had had his fill of fun, he began the condemnation of others.

  • Tor

So why can’t jesus forgive her for signing some marriage licenses? It does not make sense.

  • Peter J Heaton

We should fix her up with the frump?

    • David Hoernle

And you should be fixed up with Hillary

      • Peter J Heaton

Hillary would be far, far better

  • David Dunn

Until a few moments ago, I hadn’t realized the Pakleds had visited Earth and bred with humans, especially Xtians, but I have proof that Davis is a Pakled-human hybrid. Here is her father’s picture:

  • Don’t care how many times she married or who she slept with or that she’s a hypocrite. That’s her business. For me the real issue is, taxpayers pay her salary and she’s refusing to do her job. She should be long gone.

    • James

it would be her business if she weren’t basing her illegal refusal to issue marriage licenses to people who qualify for them, thereby denying them their constitutional rights, on the bullshit claim that she’s following biblical teachings on marriage.

  • Tim won’t

since being “saved” has she refused to issue licenses to divorced people?

  • Christopher Smith

All very well, but could we stop allowing the Xtian fascists to frame this debate as being about ‘religion’–and their hypocrisy about same ‘religion’–and get back to the LAW and its requirements in a secular (supposedly) society?

    • Beagle

We can frame it as about religion — whether a government official may establish her own personal religious test to decide who may enjoy basic civil rights.

      • Christopher Smith

But, you see, the problem is that they *want* it in the ‘religious’ frame, and that plays into their hands. The entire point of separation of church/state is to avoid getting into this garbage. It’s a SECULAR issue of insubordination, denial of mandated services, and refusal to perform one’s mandated duties. To allow the drivel of ‘religion’ in at all is exactly what the theocratic fascists want and love.

If she really had been washed in the blood she would divorce her current husband which she is committing adultery with and live the celibate life the Bible commands her to.

  • TampaDink

I can totally understand how she only found religion 4 years ago, since churches are so difficult to locate in small towns in Kentucky. In Mat’s perfect world, churches would be allowed to have signs & symbols denoting that they are houses of worship/worse shit.

  • LarryChemEngr

Uh, Casey. Kim IS continuing to live in her sin. She has not returned to her first husband, the only one that God acknowledges, so she is just a fornicating whore and adulterer currently, according to the Bible. For a big Christian like you, I thought you’d realize that. But IQ points are scare for guys like you.

  • Mara Cain

But she has repented!!!! Next she’ll be a presidential candidate!! LOL!!!!!

  • fish1552

So let me get this straight. What you want to be known for is NOT the right thing, but instead trashing the image of someone else you do not agree with. If you are okay being on equal trashy grounds as this lady, then by all means, have at it. I on the other hand, prefer to stick to the high ground and not stoop to that level.

    • James

      A) she’s no lady, and B) the fact that she’s a hypocrite when it comes to supposed biblical teachings on marriage is very fucking relevant.

  • That thing had sex with five men?

    • Chiennoir

      Four. She married #1 twice.

  • Theo McKinney

Looks like SOMEONE has been using Gay Human sacrifices as a penance on the altar of her/it’s “God”, this whole time.

Gay human sacrifice, so “God will like her/it *better*; sure to guarantee better digs in the afterlife. (doesn’t sound the least bit self absorbed, does it…)

The “heartfelt belief” here, is that all it takes is being mean to LGB’s who wish to marry, and ONLY LGB’s who wish to get married.

(remember she/it DID approve a marriage involving a transgender man…)

Will this ruin her chances at a VIP seat in heaven?

Of course not! Because God forgave her her sins, and being mean to LGBs and only LGB’s as a sacrament will fix the rest.

    “Bible says!”,you know.

  • airjackie

it was accepted by God as she said even her 3 divorces and 4th marriage to a man who says he is a red neck were all with God’s blessing. Now she was asked to be the martyr for the fake Christian movement and the donations are pouring in as Kim hopes to retire a millionaire for her work. Remember this religious groups has 17 candidates running for President and all 17 got the word from God to be President. Josh Duggar and Dennis Hastert are part of the same Christian Conservative group.

  • Emma

I wouldn’t call these revelations about this lunatic a bombshell. The louder these religious extremists screech, the more skeletons they have. It’s been proven time and again.

  • Mark Rees

The essence of immorality is the tendency to make an exception of yourself. It is ‘Christians’ like this who insult Christianity.

  • Clarisse73

Now, now, everybody, let’s not be so judgmental!! She has found the Lord and all her prior sins (ex. fun and good times) have been forgiven. Her job is now to make sure that no one else gets a chance to have any fun or good times.

  • Dirk

  • Bill Haffey

Not only is Mat Staver giving bad legal advice, he is giving bad theological advice. The whole “washed in the Blood,” line misrepresents Christian theology. If Staver knew, or cared what he was talking about, he would understand that “being washed in the Blood” only washes away past sins, according to evangelical theology, but it does not give a person a free pass to continue their sin. According to Christ’s teaching on divorce, Ms Davis is still married to her first husband, seeing divorce is not allowed. So while her adultery and polygamy may have been forgiven when she was “washed in the Blood,” her repeated practice of those sins has not been forgiven. She is still and adulterer, and polygamist.

  • ZappyKins

Wow, an none of this would be public if she was a good respectful citizen and not denying people’s civil rights.

The most salient part of this post is this: “…her conversion to Christianity about four years ago…”

There’s no zealot like a convert. I’m thinking she has a lot of guilt/issues related to her own past that she’s projecting outward in her bigotry. Of course, it’s still not right/downright illegal, but knowing that she’s a recent convert and has a trampy, cumbucket past has just changed my perception of her a tad.

  • Since when has “No gay marriage” been “a central teaching of the Bible”? The Bible doesn’t even mention it.

“Thou shalt not commit adultery”, on the other hand, is; engraved on stone, no less.

  • Viir Exeter

Hey, lady, the Bible says you should BE STONED TO DEATH if
you, a WOMAN, are found to not be a virgin. When’s the stoning? Oh, i get it.
You PICK AND CHOOSE what you WANT TO BELIEVE out of the Bible, the parts that speak to your hatred and bigotry. Gotcha. Conservative, thy name is HYPOCRITE.

  • Jay Dwyer

Okay, I pieced this together from articles in US News, NPR, and the Daily Mail. She was married in 1984 at age 18, divorced husband #1 in 1994 but got pregnant with twins 4 months before the divorce was final. According to court records, husband #2 is Joe Davis. They married in 1996 and he ADOPTED the twins…she divorced husband #2 in 2006 and married husband #3 in 2007…the biological father of the twins!!! She divorced husband #3 in 2008 and has since started her 4th marriage in 2009. To whom? Oh…wait for it…waaaaiiiittt for it! To husband #2, Joe Davis. Who is defending his wife’s past saying nobody got the right to judge her (while she is judging the shit out of others). Of course, nobody got the right to judge her…she became Born Again (because the first time wasn’t enough for the world) in 2011. And now, after living the life of the whore of Babylon, she now gets to play god herself and decide who is a sinner and who isn’t. Povich and a crack team of “reality TV” writers couldn’t engineer this shit in a million years!

  • Theresia Forgey

A floosy four times married. Nocked up by third husband while still married to second husband, could not be happy with all this and found a fourth husband. Was this on the Springer show?

  • Paul C

I bet all of you have done equal wrong or worse than she has. I see a page of haters that would not have the balls to stand up for what you believe in the face of criminal charges like this brave woman has. I see this as bravery. How about you guys think of all the shit you’ve put into this world before passing judgement on another!

  • Twisted

If I was one of her children I would be killing her about now. (I do not mean that literally for those of you who cannot understand sarcasm). I am certain that their G-d does not need any help from the likes of her. These people are so arrogant with this G-d sh#&. So, self-important, like they are an Arch Angel.

  • Twisted

And because of this she should have developed a sense of compassion, but not her, This is why I fully believe she is just a bigot hiding behind a G-d Book as my friend calls them.. These people really think they are Saints or Arch Angels fighting Satan. Their G-d created Satan so I am fairly certain he can deal with the problem he made.

  • Kelly Miller

    i support her 100%

    • billbear1961

And I will support a clerk 100% when he or she turns YOU away for being a sinner according to their religious views.

  • Patti Wilson

“blessed are they that are perscuted for HIS namesake.”

    • billbear1961

People whose hands are filthy have no business telling others how to wash.

This hypocrite is, according to her own Lord and Saviour, an unrepentant adulteress. Christ denounced divorce and condemned those who entered new marriages after divorce as adulterers. She has been divorced three times and married four. She’s presently in her fourth marriage, for the second time with husband #2. Christ recognizes only her FIRST husband as the legitimate one. According to Christ, she is living in sin and bound for hell.

      Yet she DARES judge others!

Before gay couples could marry, how many heterosexuals sinners–and even perhaps criminals–did this woman give licenses to so that they could marry?? Did she hesitate? Did she ask them ONE question to determine how moral they were??

No, only GAYS must be turned away and punished for breaking biblical rules–NO ONE ELSE! Everyone else gets a FREE PASS, as long as they’re straight, and especially if they are two-faced Christers!

Keep up the good work–you’re dragging your religion through a sewer. You make a mockery of Christ. People are disgusted by your sick-making hypocrisy.

      And persecution?

      HOW is she persecuted?

Is it persecution to expect a government official to carry out government policy in obedience to the Constitution, which she has sworn an oath to, and which FORBIDS the imposition of a religious test on citizens by any government official??

If she has her way, someone like HER could be turned away by a religious crackpot clerk who refuses to serve the divorced because, according to the clerk’s faith, the divorced are sinners.

YOU could be turned away, idiot!

Is it persecution because, in the PUBLIC square, she is expected to be civil even to people she doesn’t like, as long as they are civil to her, and to respect other people’s civil rights as she DEMANDS they respect HERS??

You don’t have to LIKE people to respect their rights, and if you want to see what happens when religion gets out of hand and people no longer respect one another’s rights, look no further than the BUTCHERY of the Middle East!

    • JCF

Yeah, I really don’t take the word of Christianists who can’t even quote their Scripture correctly. [“HIS namesake”: what, Jesus’s nephew ‘Lil Jesus’? It’s “his name’s sake“, you Christianist FAKE follower of the Prince of Peace!]

      • billbear1961

        😀

  • labman57

You know, there are many Christians who believe that divorce is “contrary to God’s word”.
How would Davis have felt if she had been denied any of her divorces because someone in the bureaucratic chain refused to process the legal paperwork?

  • Erick Sitter

Who in there right mind would even touch that? eww gross!

  • Betty Clift

KIM, STAND YOUR GROUND, MAYBE GOD WILL GET SICK AND TIRED OF THESE STUPID MORONS AND COME TO YOUR AID. I KNOW I AM FED UP WITH HEARING THEM CRYING AND WHINING ABOUT THEIR SPECIAL NEEDS. THEY CAN SIMPLY GO WHERE ANYONE ELSE WOULD GLADLY GIVE THEM A LICENSE.

    • billbear1961

THEN ANYONE CAN SHOW YOU THE DOOR AND TELL YOU TO GET THE HELL OUT AND GO BEGGING FOR YOUR SPECIAL RIGHTS SOMEWHERE ELSE, HYPOCRITE!!

Your heroine is, according to her Lord and Saviour, an unrepentant adulteress, and therefore bound for HELL!

According to Christ, only her FIRST husband is her legitimate one. She is in her 4th marriage–it’s the second time she’s been married to husband #2.

The harlot stands condemned by Jesus Christ!

      She lives in SIN!

And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.–Matthew 19:9

  • Cindi Hammer Petrillo

I feel sorry for her kids, they have that nutball as a mother!!

  • Jim Dean

See, here’s the thing. Believing in Jesus does mean believing that’s she’s forgiven, and this is an apples and oranges comparison.

That said, if she believes this strongly, she should step down, because this kind of bigotry has no place inside a government building. She’s not being asked to unite them in Holy Matrimony, she’s being ordered to issue an official government document that two adults living as a couple have to have in order to conduct their daily lives together. If she can’t do that, she should quit.

  • dayk1

I think this clerk is dead wrong but the comments on here need to be more respectful or you are no better than her.

  • pdquick

The reason it doesn’t matter is because in the USA it’s not up to some government official whether you’re sinning in your private life. She has the same obligation to issue marriage licenses to the people who come into her office as the county clerk who issued her four marriage license and the birth and adoption certificates of her two illegitimate children. Why? Because the county clerk does not get to judge your choices, as long as they’re legal.

  • Laurie Miller

so if she gets to rewrite the law to encompass her personal beliefs and be paid with tax money, can I stop paying the portion of my taxes that support war?

  • Kevin Whaley

So basically, she was baptized so it washed away her sins, so according to her beliefs, any and all of the people out there that are gay and wanting to get married, if they have been baptized as well all of their sins would be washed away as well so there should be no reason to refuse them a marriage license on that mentality!

  • Charlie Moore

….and this all happened BEFORE she became a Christian…. Get your facts right before you decide to publicly malign someone out of sheer ignorance….

  • ron

did she repent and ask forgiveness if so she will be forgiven do gays repent and ask forgiveness for sodomy no just saying

  • Mike Strunk

So what? She can be forgiven and change her ways and be very proud of it! Not all Christians are perfect from birth……none of us to be honest. Stand your ground Kim!

  • Andreas_J

    How about?

  • Patricia Gallagher

I assume that Kim Davis took an oath to uphold the laws of KY when she took the job of county clerk. She wouldn’t have sought the position if it required her to do anything that would violate her beliefs. If she now cannot, in good conscience, fulfill her responsibility in this regard, she should resign. That sacrifice would speak to her Christian commitment much more effectively that refusing to do her job.

  • Randy Rinker

But she was forgiven. What a cop out. I think way back when there was this fellow named Martin Luther who broke from the Catholic church for some of the same issues – basically, do whatever you want, it doesn’t matter, God will forgive your sins (for a price). So it doesn’t matter what this idiot did in the past she’s ‘different’ now. SUUUUUURE you are.

  • s rider

she became a Christian AFTER all those divorces. All her sins have been washed away. She is a Christian.

  • Patti Cottrell Grant

Hashing over the woman’s sins, while entertaining, distracts us from recognizing the FALSE DICHOTOMY she has created: Either follow the law or go to prison for Jesus as though she had no other options. In fact, she has had several other options, among them, #1 Do the job; #2 Appoint another clerk to issue licenses, or #3 Request a Transfer. If she didn’t like (or even consider!) any of those choices she could have quietly resigned her position two months ago. Anyone on the job for 30 years Does Not Have to Cover the Front Counter.

And as a believer she knows that God does not hold her responsible for the actions of others. Apparently she seeks martyrdom, publicity, and the right to impose her religions beliefs on others–while denying them their civil rights. Now that she has been found guilty of contempt of court and sent to prison for defying the law the right-wing cries of PERSECUTION! can commence.

    • s rider

I dont know what Bible you read but God tells us that saving a soul is a big deal and that we ARE responisble for others sins especially when we have an opportunity to stop them and help them. FYI, she was elected by the people to this job and the people dont want gay marriage. If they are truly intent on getting married they could go to any of over 100 other county clerks in their state. This was about putting on a show and that is it.. FYI, gay marriage is NOT law. In order for it to be law Congress must pass it as such. The supreme court cannot under the constitution create law. Just like Obama using executive action to create his fantasy laws, they arent legal either. ONLY CONGRESS CAN CREATE AND PASS LAWS. GET IT? Her state has stated marriage is between a man and a woman, therefore she is obeying the law.

  • Mildred Rodriguez

If we don’t belive that Jesus will forget us if we truly show remorse and proved to him loyalty them we are not cristians. Because of her belive today she has learned from her past mistakes… she still strong on her belive. Good for her. Even is the Supreme Court change the law you can’t change what people belive that God created man and woman to be together and procreate and if you are not a religious person them the biology of the pinus and the vagina like the perfect match to be together and procreate. The way you like to have sex don’t have nothing to do with laws.

  • cheldric

With all the statements about how she had twins from H#3 5 months after divorcing H#1 to marry H#2. My head started to spin a little when I realized someone had intimate relations with this woman…. I mean – got nekked with her and you know, got close enough to, you know. I’ve seen her photos. And. Well. I’m just sayin’!

  • TKB

Not taking sides here but this women can’t choose her battles. Especially coming from someone married and divorced a few times. How many hetro people did she marry that probably lived together, slept together before marriage? I bet she issued them marriage licenses with out any issue. Just saying you know. Hypocritical ?

Christian’s are digging the hole deeper and deeper with every absurdity that hits the news.
Younger people are walking away from their idiocy daily.
If they’d simply keep their mythical book within the confines of their church and stop trying to impose laws upon this secular nation, they’d be just fine.
They don’t even realize they are writing their own death warrant. But that’s typical of their lot I suppose.

  • Nathaniel Simpson

I don’t see the relevance of her past sins when all have sinned and come short of the glory of God without repentance. I love how so called christian’s love to judge people. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

  • David Wayne Ray

God will forgive you of any sin. You just can not do those thing again. You must give your heart and soul to God.

The apostle Paul was a murderer before he became a Christian. Mary Magdalene was a prostitute and demon possessed before Jesus saved her..Some were homosexuals… Jesus saves sinners, he changes all of those who repent.

JUDGE NOT – LEST THEE BY JUDGED!!!! Oh my… I’ve just read the posts below… I can’t believe the hatred being spewed on this site. PLEASE FOLKS… let God be the judge of this woman… look to your own sins prior to throwing a stone (or verbal abuse) at her.

  • Laverne Davis

you can all be as crass as you wish in regards to this. You can call her names. You can ridicule. The fact still remains (and you can’t change it) that when she gave her life over to God, she was cleansed from every thing in her past. He says when we repent, he forgives. She arrived where she is by the grace of God and it makes it even more brave on her part knowing she would face this persecution in standing strong where she now is with Him.

“Justice is getting what you deserve.Mercy is not getting what you deserve. And grace is getting what you absolutely don’t deserve.”

    I stand with Kim.

  • Roxane Iosue

And who is spewing some hate here? Sorry you guys, you are wrong…her being married multiple times doesn’t have anything to do with this issue. And before you spew any more hate…be careful, you were not the ones who shed blood for her forgiveness of sin. Tread lightly or you just might find some surprises when you meet your maker.

    1) When did she find Jesus? If she wasn’t a “Christian” when she had those children but was baptized after isn’t that supposed to wash away her sins?
    2) Did not G-d say Judge Not Least Ye Be Judged?
    3) Did Jesus not say “Ye who is without sin cast the first stone?”

    • Burkay Ozturk

Then she should let gays marry because in the future they might repent and all will be forgiven. Just like despite her adulturous history, she was allowed to remarry many times.

  • Hope

You do realize that Paul (one of the author’s of the bible), persecuted Christian’s BEFORE he converted right?

  • PaulBrosamJr

This article has nothing to do with her hypocrisy on homosexuality and gay marriage. As far as her religion, she may have come to Christ after this pregnancy issue. Every one is a sinner, including you and I. Everyone has done something in their life that they are not proud of. Finding Christ is what sinners do. Therefore, her past is her past. Hopefully, she has changed her ways through finding Christ. Apparently she has. That’s a great thing!

  • guest2

The author shows his fundamental ignorance of what accepting Christ means in a person’s life. For Christians it’s a new start, a new beginning as promised from God. For non-believers, it means nothing. It’s been my observation that Christians who come to Christ later in life, are much more rigid and strive harder to live a more clean life. “Hard-core” as some may put it.

  • Art Studio

All the bible belter’s heads would explode if Kim were Muslim and refused to issue marriage licenses based on her religious beliefs. There would be zero defense by all these “non-judgmental” Christians of her “religious freedom.” They’d be clamoring for her to be fired, arrested, jailed and executed.

But we’re dealing with brick thick thinkers here. They can’t grasp that taxpayer funded employees are not allowed to discriminate for ANY reason including one’s religious beliefs. Government employees can’t refuse to issue a marriage license to a couple who are gay, bi-racial, too old to reproduce, previously divorced any number of times, have had premarital sex, or for whatever reason unless it violates the law such as being forced to marry another person against one’s will, under legal age or next of kin (none of which ever stopped a good percentage of the south from marrying).

Ironically, you have all this clutching at pearls by self-professed Christians who cherry pick their moral outrage via some obscure oft translated hand me down verse in a fictional book of myths written in the bronze age and cry about being persecuted when they themselves are the ones doing the persecuting of others by engaging in blatant discrimination every chance they get. And when they get called out on their incredibly judgmental attitudes and bigotry, they cower behind their so-called “beliefs.”

The truth is, many of today’s Christians — like Kim Davis — are insecure control freaks who can’t stand social evolution, progress and change that is inclusive of people who have literally been persecuted. Fictional Jesus may have been nailed to a cross but the very non-fictional Matthew Shepherd was actually beaten (by Christian belief thinking people) and his lifeless body hung on a fence post because he was gay. Hundreds of thousands of black men, women and children were snatched from their homes, transported to America and beaten into submission to work labor intensive jobs so their “white Christian masters” could sit back on the veranda sipping their Mint Juleps. For any enslaved black person to want freedom was a death sentence — and thousands were persecuted, tortured, and murdered by Christians.

Today’s Christian’s are trying to appropriate persecution from those who have actually been persecuted — not because they are being persecuted — but because they want things to be like they used to be — going back decades or even centuries – before civil rights, before women could vote, before the elimination of slavery.

It’s way past time Christians just STFU already with all their persecution complex whine and cheeze about every little thing that they don’t like and did the one thing Jesus commanded them to do: Stop being assholes and Love everyone. And what could be more symbolic a gesture of love then granting a couple who are in love their legally entitled marriage certificate?

The only people on earth making a mockery out of Christianity are people like Kim Davis and those who support her cause celeb.

  • Susan Abbott

Anyone who resorts to name-calling, profanity and personal attacks has lost the argument already! The Bible says that judgment begins at the house of God. What a person does or does not do before they come to Christ is forgiven when they accept his grace! As long as they live right afterwards, they will never again be judged for the previous sins so when people dig up her past to try to discredit her, only goes to prove how low their moral scale must be!
Here is where I stand: If she felt it was against her conscience to give a same-sex couple a license, then let the couple go to another county. Why is it that it is ok to flaunt that life-style in the faces of those who do not agree with it, but it is not ok for a Christian to live by their belief and conscience? These people are causing Christians to lose their businesses because they feel it is wrong to “aid and abet” those of that life-style, people are losing jobs because they feel they are forced to do things that compromise their beliefs and now people are being thrown in jail for those reasons?
I am sure by now that you have figured out which side I land on, yes, I am a Christian but I have a different perspective them some do. I also had a wedding business at one time and if I had it today and was faced with a same sex couple wanting to utilize my business, I would have no problem serving them because I look at it this way; those people obviously do not believe the Bible and have not come to God, or if they have, they have rejected his Word, so I am here to be a “witness”, not sit in judgment, so it does not go against my conscience to serve them. We do not hate them! We are not opposing them for opposition’s sake! We are all sinners saved by grace! It is simply the fact that God’s Word is very explicit about this type of sin. In fact, he calls it an abomination! However, in a business, you are dealing with sinners of some sort every day! If we refused to serve the sinners, our patrons are going to be few and far between!
There are some jobs I could not take or do because it would compromise what the Bible says and my own conscience, such as serving strong drink or stripping among many others but that is my personal beliefs! However, I respect her right to live by her conscience, so if she should not be forced to go against that!
The problem with this is that it is not like the same sex couples cannot go elsewhere, it is because they are now bullying and pushing their life-style in the faces of those who do not agree with and it is now becoming the “acceptable” practice to persecuting Bible believers! That is where the “rubber meets the road!
We are bending over backwards not to offend the Muslims, blacks and homosexuals, and other sects and to accommodate them in every way, yet the Christian now are becoming the persecuted people if they take a stand for what they believe! True justice works both ways! There is an old adage that says, “your rights end where mine begins!” This whole thing could have been avoided if the couple had just chosen to go to another county! That is what I would have done, had I been in their shoes! The problem is that the homosexuals are pushing their agenda in the faces of the believers just like they did in Lot’s day in Sodom and you know what God did to them or maybe you don’t, if you don’t try reading the “Old Testament”! It has a lot of wonderful history! A great man once said, “those who do not learn from the past, are doomed to repeat it!

What happened before she was saved has no bearing on this case! God says marriage is 1man + 1 woman! The State of Kentucky voted the same, its the feds who want to force these beliefs on everyone!

  • bash0001

Look who is talking a bunch of fags who couldn’t be monogamous if ISIS threatened to drop you off a skyscraper head first. . . you perverts make us sick.

  • Some bombshell. She didn’t practice Christianity before she became a Christian.

    BOMBSHELL: Blog needs to GAFL.

  • Dr Tom

She must be good at what she does. “Good on ya” Kim!

  • Dr Tom

She should have refused the couple a license because they were ugly.

Every person ever born is a sinner, she is no different. When she came to know the Lord as her savior, she turned away from her sin and now lives for God. That is exactly how it is supposed to work, it does not in any way make her a hypocrite. It makes her a converted sinner, washed in the blood of Christ.Redeemed from sin. This gift from God is available to anyone who seeks Him.

…best summary of this debacle to date! I copied/pasted this comment by Frank Johnson:

So the saga continues. For those of you who are not very political or are not from our fair (usually) Commonwealth, Judge David Bunning imposed a sentence of incarceration for civil contempt on Kim Davis, the County Clerk of Rowan County for her failure to comply with an Order from his Court, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. The sentence is for a violation of an Order of the Court; not because Ms. Davis is Christian and not because Ms. Davis believes that same sex marriage is a sin.

There are two (2) types of contempt: criminal and civil. Contempt is defined, in this case, as a willful and intentional violation of an Order of the Court. Criminal contempt means that you are in jail (or otherwise punished) for a sentence certain. Civil contempt means that the contemnor (Kim Davis) is in complete control of the duration of their punishment. Once you cease to defy an Order of the Court, the punishment stops.

A couple of things to know:

First, Judge Bunning was appointed by President Bush (43) and is the son of retired Kentucky Senator Jim Bunning. He is a conservative through and through. The Bunnings do not take their political beliefs lightly.

Second, this is the only time that I can remember seeing a contemnor get through an entire appellate process before being required to comply with a Court Order. Usually, one is required to comply with an Order of the Court regardless of the appeal. If compliance is refused, then a contempt sentence is enforced, regardless of whether or not you are appealing the Order. Kim Davis got special treatment on this issue.

Kim Davis is in jail because she willfully and intentionally violated an Order of the Court. She received all the due process allowed her (all the way to the US Supreme Court). She no longer has any cause (good or otherwise) to refuse compliance with a Court Order in a Nation of Laws.

Third, Judge Bunning threw Ms. Davis a life preserver. After imposing a sentence for contempt, Judge Bunning took a break. When Court resumed, he interviewed the Deputy Clerks for Rowan County as to whether they would comply with his Order. Five (5) of the six (6) deputies affirmed that they would comply with his Order. He then recalled Ms. Davis and asked whether she could refrain from interfering with the deputies while they issued marriage licenses. If she would do that, then he was satisfied that she was not in contempt and could go home. Ms. Davis refused even that much. Ms. Davis’ guarantee of personal religious freedom does not extend her the right to impose those beliefs on others, particularly when she is acting as the governmentb
Predictably, an outcry of judicial tyranny and religious persecution has arisen. This is not religious persecution. In the United States, we do not examine the sincerity or reasonableness of your religious beliefs in the public arena. You can believe any and everything in the name of your faith. However, the government may not deny you services based upon the religious belief of the government, its agents or employees. When that happens, then a clear violation of the Establishment Clause b the First Amendment occurs, which is precisely what happened when Ms. Davis refused to issue marriage licenses under “God’s Authority”.

As far as judicial tyranny goes, the outcry is completely unwarranted. Ms. Davis is subject to the jurisdiction (read authority) of the Court. She got access to justice in a way that few will ever experience. She was given special consideration at every step. This is not tyranny by any conceivable definition of the word, and to call it tyranny diminishes the claimant.

For those who may be tempted to take the outcry seriously, let me ask you to consider whether you would tolerate a government that denied you access to services and status available to everyone else because of religious beliefs that you did not share. If we are to continue to be a nation of laws, then we must do so much better. We must stop giving attention and authority to those who seek to take us back to a time when the government cried “God Wills It” and the cry became law

Well, there is no doubt she had committed sins in the past. Having been saved, she swings to the other end of the pendulum. However, is she is in a job that contradicts her beliefes, she should, as a good Christian, leave her job. Just want to point out one important fact. She refused marriage licenses to ALL couples, not just the gay one.

  • Dan Roberts

I just knew her kids ad to be twins, The way she looks no man would want t bed that ugly thing . more than once.

  • Chris Fields

Happened before she became a Christian. ..You should really understand more about the belief systems you criticize. ..There are numerous examples of people being one way and then being saved and turning from that way. ..given from a perspective you may understand. ..two wrongs do not a right make. ..

  • Connie Jennings

She converted to Apostolic from Baptist. Her first 3 marriages were presided by Baptist ministers.

St. Paul killed christians before God got a hold of him, then he had the gall to preach about the love and forgiveness of God? What a hypocrite! In fact the bible is full of them. David who killed Goliath later committed adultery and murder. Peter denied ever knowing Christ. Abraham lied. Noah got drunk after the ark came to rest and everyone got off. (Ok, that one was probably ok due to being shut up with in-laws and animals in close quarters for 40 days and nights!) Lies, rape, murder, deceit and disobedience in every chapter and verse. And that pair in the garden ruined paradise for everyone bringing sin and death into the world because they could not resist an apple! Oh wait, Jesus paid for all those sins by his death on the cross, so perhaps, He did the same for that clerk. Nah, can’t be. Could it? No, not her, she is disobedient to the law of the land. Maybe? Did Jesus forgive her sins too? Nope, nope, never, she discriminates! Just unforgiveable! So there you have it. The world has spoken and she has been judged. Drug dealers, slave traders, murderers, child molesters can all be forgiven, but not her. Not when did what she did — standing up for what she believes and daring to obey a higher law!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Davis fought the law and the law won. See
why she is wrong and laugh at the funny jokes and memes this incident has
inspired. The Constitution seems to be winning this particular church-state battle.

And what does this have to do with her refusal to issue gay marriage licenses?

  • eldueno

The bible describes many poligamous relationships. What, you think the bearded goat Hurders who met to swap the stories now forming the old testiment were saints?

  • David Brown

In a statement issued this week, Davis said she owes her “life to Jesus Christ who loves me and gave His life for me. Following the death of my godly mother-in-law over four years ago, I went to church to fulfill her dying wish. There I heard a message of grace and forgiveness and surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. I am not perfect. No one is. But I am forgiven and I love my Lord and must be obedient to Him and to the Word of God.”

  • David Brown

Is she the only clerk in Kentucky?

  • mimi2832

She is a liar and a hypocrite. She refused to issue licenses to LGBTs yet she had no issue with giving divorced couples a marriage license. Cherry picking who she thinks should get civil rights is not religious freedom, it is bigotry and she abused her authority as county clerk. By refusing to issue any licenses she thought she could skirt the law.

  • Jeff Baxter

For goodness sake, get off Kim’s case or make up your minds one way or another.

  • debbie

what happens in our lives before we are washed in the blood is casted from the east to the west and never more remembered. there is always someone to try to drag good ppl down no matter what they do.

  • GeoNotes

You FOOLS! You mock Kim Davis, but your lives are no better. And, YES, God is in the business of forgiving us of our sins when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior who gave his life for us on the Cross of Calvary. May God grant you your justice at the Great White Throne Judgment! Don’t understand, perhaps you should read the Bible instead of conjecturing about something you have never read!

  • Barbara Moore

What does this have to do with the problem she is facing? And please don’t quote the bible

Common decency won’t win for ya so attack the woman! If your’re a homo you go out of your way to harass people who do not agree getting screwed in the ass is an enjoyable experience, or that same sex marriage is normal, or cross dressing is the way to rock.
Homos have even screwed up the English language!! ‘Lets see” Can’t use GAY or QUEER in the context they were meant to be used in and even AIDS mean something other than what it originally meant
Have you misfits ever heard the saying ‘live and let live”? Nobody is twisting your fucking arms to deal with people who don’t want to deal with you. You have two legs to walk away from people like that don’t you?
Do you believe there is a supreme being? A God? Jesus, the son of God? If so how do you justify your behavior? You can’t period.

  • KJQ

Just one teensy, weensy fact missing from this article, namely that her multiple marriages (and yes, adultery) occurred BEFORE she became a Christian. It would only be hypocrisy if it happened WHILE she was a Christian.
