Breitbart Blows Fuses In Fox Furor

  • Greg B.

Shhhh…everyone listen up. Breitbart is going to give us a lesson on balance in the media.

    • Eebadee-eebadee-thatsallfolks

    • MattM

      • Good Shot Green

Cult of the Damned? That was a ’60s flick I enjoyed.

    • JT
    • Knock knock

While this may seem “delicious”, it is a bit disappointing that here is not mention of Chuck Schumer’s opposition to Iran nuclear deal. I support the deal but Schumer’s opposition is ignored. Boooo!!!

      • It made the cover of the Murdoch-owned NY Post, though.

  • leastyebejudged

The modern mental illness of perpetual rage.

Pay attention, this site is no different than Breitbart in that regard.

    • MattM

Really, though? Our outrage is justified. The people who comment on Breitbart never lost or will lose any of their rights, and will never be beaten to death for their religious beliefs. Nor will the bey refused services for said religious beliefs.

We are only perpetually full of rage because we’re perpetually under attack.

      • leastyebejudged

We’re perpetually under attack here, in my day to day life in the real world I’m actually pretty thoroughly loved and supported even by people that I ideologically disagree with.

        • MattM

That’s great. I lived in California and was 18 when Prop 8 got passed.

I’m so glad your world is just so blissful and respectful. For the rest of us……

          • leastyebejudged

Well, I lived in Cali. during the same period. I didn’t say it was blissful, it’s a lot of work. I made it happen.

          • MattM

So our rage is unjustified because you’re just so complacent and patient. Got it.

          • leastyebejudged

I think you’re actually kind of proving a point for me, so thanks for that.

Also, you don’t get to call me complacent, you don’t know shit about me. Maybe if you wen’t so addicted to drama here your personal life in the real world wouldn’t suck so much, ever considered that ?

          • MattM

How so? I’m outraged that you’re so flippant about the disenfranchisement of all LGBT Californians because the people in your immediate circle are just so gosh darn terrific. Not everyone has such a life. We’re not just rageful for ourselves, we’re rageful (I keep using this made up word) because somebody has to be.

It’s not as if we’re paranoid about people coming for our rights. We have demonstrative proof that a large section of the population will stop at nothing to do so. We’re not equal yet, and we have to stay vigilant.

I’m sorry you’re too easy going to accept that.

          • leastyebejudged

You’re outraged and enraged – that’s your issue, your projection onto whoever is convenient, you need to grow up a little and own your own emotions and bullshit.

As for being equal, I don’t strive for equality, I strive to be better.

          • MattM

No, I’m frustrated that you diminish a justified emotional response by a group to their persecution.

I’m not screaming at you via keyboard. But I am (insistently) pointing out to you that a relaxed approach cannot work for everyone, nor it is even an option for some.

I’m not even mad at your relaxed attitude. That’s fine. But that you’re so blasé about the justified outrage of your peers troubles me.

          • leastyebejudged

I’m not diminishing anybody’s emotional response, I just pointed out that your emotions don’t belong to me.

You seem to think a rational and measured approach is a relaxed one, it’s not, it’s real work.

It’s futile to get angry with someone over your own projection, isn’t it ?

I’m not blasé about “the justified outrage” of my peers. You are equating THAT with manufactured rage. It’s not the same thing at all.

          • MattM

We don’t share the same emotions. But your jab at people with justified rage was uncalled for. It’s not a rage you possess. Yet you still criticize (well, more like tease) people who are full of rage for very important reasons.

It’s not made up paranoia and flights of fancy we have rage over. We’re not all from tolerant places. Perhaps if you did you’d better respect of the rageful people you criticize.

          • Schlukitz

            Save your breath, MattM.

leastyebejudged likes to argue for the sheer sake of argument. Even when proven to be dead wrong, he will continue to argue with you.

Hell, he can’t even get a well-known bible quote right, much less spell it properly.

Most of have learned, through experience, to simply ignore him for the troll that he is.

          • MattM

Wait, he’s a troll? (Do anonymous commenters have genders?) I could swear we’ve had productive back-and-forths before.

          • Schlukitz

S/he has been known to lapse into momentary fits of sanity on occasion, but those fits are usually of short duration. 😛

          • MattM

            Great to know.

          • leastyebejudged

It wasn’t a jab, it was an observation, if you all want to over-react and be enraged, that’s on you. Grow up.

          • Mark

Well, you failed cuz here you are berating everybody else.

          • leastyebejudged

No, that’s a lie. It says more about you and your upvoters that you all feel observation is berating you personally.

          • Roy Biv

LOL. You strive to be better?

So you’re going to get Marriage+, an Always Ask, Always Tell type of life?

          • leastyebejudged

I’m not sure what you’re typing to articulate. I’m not hiding who I am in my day to day life, and neither is my husband.

        • FloBear

Maybe. Or maybe they secretly loathe you for what you are.

          • gaymex

            an asshole.

          • Roy Biv

It’s the typical Christian love where they “love” him but pressure him NOT to be so flamboyant about it.

          • leastyebejudged

Whatever self deception makes you feel good about yourself.

    • Gindy51

Rage? Here? You must be joking. Seriously I haven’t seen much of that on this site but that is all Breitbart has.

    • bryan

Personally I am full of joy that the far right are self imploding. I only want to help them do that.

      • leastyebejudged

Well, that makes me smile. lol.

      • Oscarlating Wildely

Better implode than explode. I mean, Christie with a side serving of Hucklebee? Duck!

      • Mark

It will still be a whimper instead of a real Ka-POW!

    • Roy Biv

Actually, the main reason I visit this site is to LOL at some commenter’s wit.

      Not to be “outraged.”

      • leastyebejudged

        Good !

    • whatever, honey. our definitions of “rage” and “impotent rage” obviously differ.

i’ve actually laughed a lot reading this site. can’t think of the last time i did so at a right wing site, not in the good way of laughter, as opposed to “i laugh so i don’t cry.”

      • leastyebejudged

If you’re going to quote something, it should be something real. I don’t see any reference to “impotent rage” in my comment. See what I did there ? I actually quoted something that someone wrote.

As for emoting about the content on right-wing sites content that’s referenced here, that’s pretty much what I’m talking about. Perpetual rage. It’s dumb. Those are your emotions, own them.

        • sorry, hon. i was a little buzzed last night. i wasn’t mocking you, i was mocking the right.

we feel rage here sometimes, you’re not wrong about that. the right feels rage as well, but in some battles, that rage has proved to be “impotent” cf marriage equality.

but i stand by my statement that this place is a LOT less “rage” filled than the right wing sites. i just felt like your comment suggested an unfair and nonfactual similarity.

      • BudClark

I think some of these complacent Auntie Toms had BETTER get DEEPLY concerned about the world we’re going to leave to our spiritual children.

And I also think that those spiritual children need to get concerned as well.

We’re not going to have Larry Kramer with us always to guide our outrage.

I wasn’t at Stonewall, but I was living in NYC that summer. The energy came from YOUNG PEOPLE. Middle-aged closeted queers were TERRIFIED at what we were doing … rocking their (not so) safe boats.

  • GayOldLady

Fox tries to serve up Trump on a platter, Trump serves up Fox on a platter and Rush Limbaugh turns on Fox. The cannibals are finally dining on each other. This is about as good as it gets for us LIBERALS.

    • b

Rupert created his Franken-fuck monsters. Now it’s like he is in an episode of the walking brain-dead.

      • Jim Detwiler

Don’t worry about Rupert, his roughly 2-mil viewers grew to over 20-mil for last night’s FOX News self-promotion. He couldn’t care less about brains. He’s in it for the money.

    • another_steve

      Lol. So true.

What have sane progressives done to deserve this?

I mean, I almost feel guilty and unworthy, watching it unfold.

    • Prixator

Too soon, too soon, too soon! This should all happen next summer! PLEASE?

      • GayOldLady

You’re right, it is too soon, but these events are devastating to the GOP and paints them as UGLY. Ugly leaves a lasting impression.

        • Prixator

Unfortunately, it will probably not leave a lasting impression on enough people who will vote.

There are too many past examples of voters forgetting/overlooking/ignoring/oblivious to some pretty bad stuff so that some truly awful people were elected – just because they had the right political affiliation.

  • bkmn

Who helps underwrite not-so-Breitbart? Sheldon Adelson, the Kochs, KKKarl Rove, Murdoch? Some rich dude is getting really pissed that tRump is running away with the nomination that he thought he had bought and paid for.

    • BearEyes

Good question. Where does that money trail lead?

      • Eebadee-eebadee-thatsallfolks

Don’t know about the money, but the trail of crumbs and grease leads back to a pizza place in Indiana.

    • Mark

It’s like seeing your multi-million dollar race horse snap a leg out of the starting gate.

      • And they have enough guns…who do we knock off in that case? 😉

  • Rebecca Gardner

  • RNegron

I was hoping the possum on tRump’s head would attack the tribble on Ran Paul’s head. Maybe next time.

  • MattM

The Tea Bagger motto: when someone disagrees with you, scream at them and make sure they’re completely ostracized.

And they wonder why they keep losing the presidency.

  • MattM

I just want to share this gem from the comments section. Breitbarters being anti-Birther.

It’s as if we’re in an alternate reality.

    • Max_1

Leave the GOP’s anchor baby alone…

      • barracks9

Damn, Piyush can’t even do THAT right!!

  • Oscarlating Wildely

Keep going Trump! We *love* you! We love you so much, we want to see you run all by yourself so we can give you all of our never ending queer love all to your lonesome. Please!

  • Max_1

    Oligarchy or bust…

    … The GOP motto.

  • Max_1

    T-Rump dumps on America again…

    • MattM

The GOP clearly has a scat fetish.

      • Max_1

And a male butt sex fetish.

        WAIT, Santorum is running…
        … Down their legs.

  • JT

Breitfart can always be relied upon for delivering poop to those who want it.

  • 2amor

I have never seen RINO in so many comments……

    • leastyebejudged

      No True Rhinosaurus…

    • Rebecca Gardner

Reagan would be a RINO in the eyes of this plague of idiots that make up the Republican party today.

    • Max_1

There are only four Northern White RHINO’s left alive…
… However according to the GOP, T-Rump is their last great white RINO.

  • MDB

“I have never seen this kind of public backlash against Fox News personalities since the network launched in 1997.”

So THAT’s what those dildo-brains are called.

Old Donald stole the handle and
The train it won’t stop going
    No way to slow down.

  • Octavio

That the first time I’ve posted on Breitbart and other commenters thought I was not being snarky. Up is down today.

    • Eebadee-eebadee-thatsallfolks

The far right is so insanely far right now that they don’t know who to turn on and cannibalize next. I say we start a rumor that Todd Starnes is a RINO working for Chuck Schumer and see what they do! Or is that like yelling fire in a crowded theater?

  • ian

I had understood that Murdoch is opposed to Trump but his putative Lackey Ailes is for him. Supposedly Murdoch has had difficulty reigning Ailes in but it seems perhaps he was able to get him back in line. Regardless, they must be quite pleased with the blockbuster ratings.

    • Randy

Interesting Thom Hartmann theory: Fox actually wants a Democratic president, because their viewership goes up.

  • bambinoitaliano

I think Trump should start yanking the GOP chain. Do you want me to stay or you want me to go independent? And he’s good being an asshole about it too.

    • KCMC

seems he already has nailed that

    • MattM

      It’s his one talent.

  • MattM

And now they’re turning on churches too! Pig in a Wig is the gift that keeps on giving.

    • zhera

      Marxist-ultra political pope!

      *dies laughing*

      • Roy Biv

planted to work synergestically with Obama!

I wonder who planted him…the other ultra-marxist but also conservative bishops who voted for Francis?!?!

        • Octavio

He was planted by Burpee Seeds.

        • zhera

I thought God chose the poop. Isn’t that what they claim, at least? OMG! Sky Daddy is a Marxist-ultra?

    • B Snow

Wait, churches get money from the government for helping illegals? Sweet! Does it have to be a Catholic church, or can any congregation get in on this deal?

Ask Boehner, he’ll know. Or Newt. Or Santorum. Or Cruz. Or Daddy Cruz. Or Huckabee. Or………..

    • D. J.

“Which church? Doesn’t matter….” The commenter doesn’t appear to be a Pope fan either.
This could get good. Our haters unleash themselves on the church crowd. Hmmmm…..

Michael Sam is on the field! I’m listening here.

Also on ESPN2 in the US.

    • Claude Jacques Bonhomme

I saw on the local news this morning that he’d be playing tonight. Fingers crossed.×285.jpg

      • Baltimatt

Als are losing 7-1. They almost had a touchdown, but there was a penalty.

        • Claude Jacques Bonhomme

          First quarter, though…

          • Baltimatt

QB Rakeem Cato makes a touchdown for Montreal!

    • Deanna B.

It’s about fracking time! I sincerely hope that he does well. He’s been put through a lot. He’s hurt himself a lot. And that bf of his didn’t help. But if he can play well now, all that drama will be forgotten.

      • Baltimatt

I’m not well-versed with football, but it sounds like he’s only had a few plays, and the Redblack players aren’t letting him do much.

        • Claude Jacques Bonhomme

Got a chance to see a bit of him. True, not much action, but nice to watch.

    • Baltimatt

      The Al’s lose 26-23.

      • Claude Jacques Bonhomme

Yup! I actually watched a part of the game on and off (the 1st time I’ve watched football in a long time). The Al’s were leading at half-time and in the 3rd quarter, but lost in the last few minutes.

        • Baltimatt

          Penalties hurt them.

    • sherman

Here’s the view of his first play from my seat. He’s #94.

After all of the games I’ve attended over almost 50 years, it’s pretty cool to have been at the one (by accident) with the first openly gay man.

      • i hope you saved your ticket stub and that photo. it could have monetary value some day.

        • sherman

Unfortunately it was a print at home ticket.

  • Hue-Man

NYT column on the moderator of the other political debate last night:

“They mostly engaged in these exchanges directly, without much interference from the moderator, like adults who could civilly but sharply discuss their country’s direction without the need for a buzzer to stop them from talking too long.”

And it starts with: “Last night, I watched a really interesting political debate, in which the candidates engaged one another substantively about their vision for the country’s future.”

That sounds exactly like the Big Boys’ Klown Kar spectacle on Fox News!

  • Breitbart… complaining about “unfair and unbalanced”… now THAT is what you call IRONY.

    Breitbart blows Fox.
    Quick, somebody tell Rick Santorum.

Hah, the notion adopted by Very Serious (R) Commenters that Teh Donald is not an absolutely standard bearer Republican in 2010’s fascist ‘Murica is just wishful of the days when the Frank Luntz Dog Whistle covered their modern day ‘Murcan Fascism.

Anyone who has ever watched a movie in which someone creates a monster to destroy the enemy knows it will always turn on its creators and destroy them. Faux News helped create the teabaggers and gave Trump a fawning no-unpleasant-questions-asked national political platform and are now unable to control the monsters they created.

    Who’s up for popcorn?

  • DutchBoy74

I haven’t watched the whole thing, but from what I saw it shows how pussy whipped the rest of them are to The Party and The Party’s billionaire donors.
Trump was the only original one on the stage and he openly told him he’s not there to be their bitch. He’s openly bullying the bullies at their own game.

I love it. He’s slapping them all down and how high his ratings are shows that they can’t just sweep him under or change the rules to phase him out.

It’s looking more and more like *shudders* Ann Coulter was right…I have to scrub my keyboard now.

    Reap what you have sown!

May JUSTICE, in her fury righteous, WIPE you, tireless liars, willfully ignorant and eager advocates of bigotry and repression, once and for ALL, from the political MAP!!

May she lay waste to your battalions of hatred and selfishness!

May she SMASH into a thousand pieces, and cast into the bottomless PIT, the IDOL of your tyrannical SELF-ADORATION, your only GOD!

May she put to the sword your limitless FOLLIES, and dash face down into the very DUST of abject humiliation, never to rise again, the chest-pounding, pus-hearted disciples of GREED and vainglory who lead you!!

O Justice, merciful goddess, heed the prayer of one who adores you!

I almost want Donald Trump to win the nomination just to spite Faux News.

    • B Snow

It’s hilarious that Trump supporters are turning against Fox News. I mean, it’s not going to last — where else will they get their 24/7 hate-feed — but I’ll enjoy it for now.

      • mjcc1987

The 3rd eye of the Apocalypse?

  • Cuberly

I think of all the comment threads I’ve read at Breitbart this has to be the most utterly clueless I’ve ever seen them. They ignore Trump’s dreadful performance and decide to pile on Kelly. Meanwhile ignoring Wallace stopping the flow of the debate, pressing Trump on the bankruptcy question.

So, in wingnuttia Kelly quoting Trump’s misogyny and calling him on it is GOTCHA, while Wallace cornering him on his most vaunted self aggrandized failures is ignored. The supposed talent he feels qualifies him for the WH.

    (I’m speechless)

  • danolgb

Kelly’s FaceBook is taking a beating with many people saying they’re never going to watch FoxNews again. These insane people walk among us.

    • LAguy323

I love it when they eat their own.

    • LonelyLiberal

So there’s a channel more insane than Fox that they’re going to tune to?

Didn’t think so. I doubt Faux Noise is quaking in their boots.

    • Cuberly

Yes and out of spite they’re going to start listening to NPR. Bwahahahahaha…….

  • Does anyone think that the Republican hierarchy (Priebus and crowd) asked Roger Ailes to do what he can to get Trump? Do you think he had Kelly (and man, she is a piece of work) go after him with embarrassing questions? Or did Kelly do this on her own? Because if Trump thinks this way — that he was set up — he WILL run as a third party candidate. He has said as much, and he has the temperament to do this. If I were Trump, I would run as a third party candidate if I were unfairly denied the nomination just to get them back. Besides, he likes Hillary and Bill anyway. If Ailes tried to set Trump up he is playing with fire right now

    • billbear1961

We should certainly encourage Trump to believe he was set up and is being treated unfairly, Eddi!

Run as a third-party candidate, Donald!

  • mjcc1987

They are now going after him. The pitch and pressure is ratcheting up. I suspect they don’t want him in the September CNN debates.

  • Stubenville

“They travel to the table, the host is served for supper
And they pass each other down for salt and pepper
And the conversation sparkles as their wits are dipped in wine
Dinosaurs on a diet, on each other they will dine
Then they pick their teeth and they squelch a belch saying:
    ‘Darling you tasted divine.’ “

    The Party Phil Ochs

  • Did anyone think anything he said during or after the debate was going to hurt him with his supporters? If anything it was more of the same kind of crap they love him for saying out loud. He’s actually saying what other Republicans only dared say in public in dog whistles!

  • Daveed_WOW

I’ve said it before….sometimes the party doesn’t want to win, but they can’t possibly surrender the contest in advance. I don’t think the Dems really wanted to win against Bush the second time and then have to face the war disaster. And the Republicans definitely did not want to win against Obama the first time. There was no way that they would take ownership of a tanking economy like that. (They didn’t seem serious about Romney either.)

I hope and pray (atheist) that the Pubbies are conceding this one so that the next Democratic president can put the Culture War issues to bed with the next Supreme Court nominees. Fighting abortion, disrespecting black people and hating poor people only appeals to a constituency that is literally dying and will be dead in a generation. The party has got to get some new game if they are going to survive. We’re seeing the death throes of American Hardcore Hate.

  • Fyva Prold

Better title: “Breitbart Is Having A Heart Attack In Fox Furor”

    What? Too soon?
