TRAILER: Spectre

Via the BBC:

The first full-length trailer for the 24th official James Bond film, Spectre, has been released online. The two-and-a-half minute clip – which sees Daniel Craig reprise his role as the superspy for a fourth time – gives a closer look at the film after a teaser was released in March. Featuring car chases, exploding planes and shady crime organisations, it bares all the hallmarks of classic Bond. Spectre will be released in UK cinemas on 26 October. The new trailer begins with a first look at Ralph Fiennes in his new role as MI6 boss M, questioning Bond about a rogue mission to Mexico City.

Daniel Craig is turning out to be my favorite Bond… swoon…

  • johnnybc

Speaking of “swoon”, who’s the goon with the mean right hook at 56 seconds…. woof

    • Dennis Haney

Former wrestler turned actor Dave Bautista.

      • Porkie

That has to be photoshopped? or does he REALLY REALLY like having his photo taken?
(I would blush if I could remember how).

      • johnnybc

Oh yes, consider my boat floated.

    • Jeffrey

Not bad, if you like that whole “Tom of Finland drawing come to life” thing 😉

      • johnnybc

Um yes, that sort of thing…

        • Jeffrey

I like that sort of thing very much!

    • Marrena

Go see Guardians of the Galaxy–he spends the entire movie shirtless.

  • JT

We need the highly sexed Mr. Bond to do it with a guy. Daniel Craig would be just the Bond to do it.

    • joeyj1220

In the last Bond film (Skyfall) they let it be known that Bond possibly had a past that included some guy on guy action 🙂

      • Joe in PA

Really? I need to re-watch that. And as you put it earlier: swoon. 🙂

      • JT
        • joeyj1220

you beat me to it 🙂

        • TJay229

          You peed! LMAO

        • Jeffrey

SO hot. The only thing wrong with this movie is that Javier Bardem is really hot and they uglied him up too much for the role.

    • Yalma Cuder-Zicci

Not just highly sexed, but because bisexuality would be advantageous to his work.

  • i do love Craig Bond. such a wonderful choice for the character. i’m sure i’ll enjoy seeing all the pretty cars and clothes and exotic places. this is a franchise i’m happy to actually go to a theater to see.

    • barracks9

Am I reading the BBC text incorrectly? If this is Craig’s 4th Bond movie, doesn’t that mean he’s reprising the role for the 3rd time? Seems like careless copy editing.

      • teeveedub

Come sit near me, my fellow perpetual copy editor, and we can talk about the Oxford comma.

        • BobSF_94117

          Can I watch?

        • BlueberriesForMe

I hope the Cambridge comma doesn’t get jealous.

      • another_steve

Barracks9, you’re vaguely of my generation.

Are you old enough to remember when in the 1960s we gay boys used to check the Bond books out of the library so that we could jerk off to the passages describing the incredible hot and sexy Bond doing the nasty? (Albeit with his lady friends.)

  • pablo

Sorry. Not interested anymore. I’ve said it before; Bond is an anachronism and either needs to go, or be rebooted as a Cold War period piece. Take a look at The Man From UNCLE trailer. That looks more Bond than Bond.
Kingsman: The Secret Service was a better Bond movie than most in the past 30 years.

    • joeyj1220

unfair comparisons… those two (UNCLE & Kingsmen) are much more lighthearted and pay homage to the Bond films. Given that countries still deal in espionage and in secret services, not sure how its an anachronism

      • pablo

Bond is boring. Cyber criminals are WAY boring. Quantum of Solace was bad. Skyfall was terrible. Bond’s time has passed.

        • joeyj1220

fair enough… for those of us who are fans, however, there are enough of us going to see them that they will continue to make more, so no, Bond’s time has not passed yet

        • Jeffrey

I didn’t love Quantum of Solace, but Ive loved the other two. Especially Casino Royale. We’ll see how bored you are by cyber criminals when they finally shut the world down lol

        • BigGuy

Why wasn’t Quantum of Solace called
          “A Piece of Peace” ?

    • Cousin Bleh

LOL at Kingsman. If you think that silly junk was good, I know I can ignore any of your movie recommendations.

      • pablo

Bond movies aren’t sill junk? Kingsman was fun. When was the last time a Bond movie was fun? When was the last time a Bond movie was good?

  • Joe in PA

And Octavio…just so you know…my 1964 Corvair could totally do those stunts.

[sorry for the private joke…he made a hateful comment weeks ago that I will never forget or forgive him for]

    🙂

  • Could it be that the 1967 version of “Casino Royale” starring David Niven, Peter Sellers, Daliah Lavi, Orson Wells, Ursula Andress, Bernard Cribbins and Woody Allen isn’t considered an “official” James Bond film? HERESY!!

    • Cousin Bleh

Neither is “Never Say Never Again.”

    • BigGuy

The Casino Royale LP is considered the best analog record around.

  • TJay229

I saw Naomie Harris the other night at the screening of Southpaw… SHE IS BEAUTIFUL! #BlackgirlsRock

And now I see they have Monica Bellucci in this….. This is mind blowing. Oh how I love her!

  • Tipsy

Ooh I detected a few notes of the theme from On Her Majesty’s Secret Service — in my opinion the best of all the Bond musical themes.

I am a bit mixed on my excitement for this, though. I used to like the fact that pre-Craig, the 007 films are essentially standalone adventures.

    • sdnative1958

I caught those notes as well and, yes, I tire of these new films being somewhat of a mini-series.

  • Jeffrey

Daniel Craig is by far my favorite Bond. He is the first one who actually looks like he would get down and dirty and kick someone’s ass. I remember there was an uproar when he was chosen because they said he was “too ugly” but I think he’s hot as fuck. He’s the first Bond that doesn’t pack a blow dryer in his travel bag and Im ok with that. Plus:

    • another_steve

I sort of agree with that. I was never overly fond of the overly-manicured Bonds.

I mean, Sean Connery’s Bond was manicuring his eyebrows decades before even gay men started doing it.

    • Circ09

Daniel Craig has benefited from getting great stylists, amazing physical trainers and finally getting some real money to pay for it all. I remember back when he was quite homely and scrawny. Clive Owen has improved with age for much the same reasons.

  • RepublicansSUCKS

    Dave Bautista as Mr Hinx
2013 Cannes Festival Palme d’Or winner for gay-themed Blue is the Warmest Color and 2014 BAFTA nominee LÊa Seydoux from The Grand Budapest Hotel,Inglorious Basterds,Midnight in Paris,Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol as Bond girl Dr Madeleine Swann
    Monica Bellucci as Lucia sciarra
    Ben Wishaw as Q
    Andrew Scott as Denbigh
2x Oscar winner Christoph Waltz as Herr Franz Oberhauser

*both Ben Wishaw and Andrew Scott are openly gay and word on the street is that Ralph Fiennes as M is closeted

  • Raising_Rlyeh

Damn… from the title I was hoping that this was an announcement that DC was making a movie based on the embodiment of god’s wrath.

  • IamM
    • Thank you! Cutiepie he is!!!

      • IamM

They have a whole channel of them filming stuff in slow motion. Otherwise mundane things or stunts ranging from silly to ill advised. As you can tell from his lab coat, the tall one does most of the dangerous or humiliating stunts.

Water balloons and CDs spun to destruction are visually spectacular.

  • Jim

All You B’s stand back, Daniel is all mine! I’ll scratch your eyes out!

  • Ninja0980

Hubby is already fired up to see this.
October can’t get here soon enough.

  • SilasMarner

Well, that’s on my must see list. Love Bond.
