    That was excellent.

  • 2patricius2

    Delightful little film.

  • Marides48

    Short, thought provoking & entrertaining.

  • noni

    Is that Caitlyn Jenner?

  • LeftyNYC

Cute film. Reminds me of David Ives’ 1989 short play, “Sure Thing” (part of a larger revue called “All In The Timing”). In it, a man and woman meet and we see all the many ways things could NOT work out for them. At every wrong turn, a bell rings and we move back a few seconds in time.

I found video from an amateur production on YouTube:

    • LeftyNYC

Oh, now I’m sorry I posted this particular production. I just watched it, and there’s an incredibly offensive lesbian “kiss” at 5:30. The original joke (“Waiting for someone?” “Yes… my lover.”) could have been cute. Unfortunately, this director chose to stage it with the woman and another actress faking a kiss, putting quotation marks around gay relationships. Blech.

      • KQCA

Not to worry. I think we can handle it. Here’s that kiss…. 😉 mmmmmMMMWahhHH!

        • LeftyNYC

          Now THAT’S a kiss. Thanks.

          • LonelyLiberal

Would you two get a room?

Also, here’s a video camera. You can return it to me afterward.

  • LonelyLiberal

    That. Was. Great.

When time traveling, always watch out for the clock roaches. One mistake and they’ll eat you.

  • NZArtist

Well that was odd. Dammit. Hyurk! Well that was interesting in a spanking kind of way. Dammit! Hyurk! I enjoyed it.

    • DaddyRay

I don’t want to live in one of the universes with out NZArtist in it

    • JT

      And she didn’t want to?

      • Joe in PA

        I know! What’s up with that? 🙂

  • Tommy Marx

It took me several suicides before I realized that was the guy from NCIS. I always thought he was cute.

    • Rich Farias

And Erinn Hayes (Doctor Lola Spratt) from “Children’s Hospital”

    • JT

Kept expecting David McCallum to appear as the Medical Examiner with all those dead bodies.

  • David Milley

It’s “The Lathe of Heaven!” But on molly?

    • B Snow

I read some sci-fi story years ago with this plot, but it’s not The Lathe of Heaven. A man in love with a woman but he keeps messing it up, so he keeps going back in time to fix it, only he doesn’t realize he keeps jumping forward in time each time. It starts in the Victorian era and ends far in the future, with him saying something like, “This time, I’ll finally get it right.”

I can’t find it! Google is failing me. I think I read it in an anthology of sci-fi stories in the early or mid-90s, but it might be older than that.

      • lymis

Never read it, but wasn’t there a Hugh Jackman movie with a similar (at least superficially) similar plot? Maybe they are related?

        • B Snow

          I’ll check, thanks!

      • Bj Lincoln

Don’t you hate it when that happens?!

        • B Snow

Especially since it happens so rarely in the Information Age. I can’t believe it didn’t come up. I mean, I saw a book of 100 Sci-Fi short stories; if I want to skim through that maybe I could find it. But seriously, come on, google!

  • BockMcMillan

    That was bloody a-w-e-s-o-m-e!

  • agcons

  • Bj Lincoln

That was great! Watched it twice. I kind of had to…..I hit the button by accident.

David Ives did something in one of his one-act plays that is part of All in the Timing.
