Madonna – Bitch I’m Madonna (Remix)

Via Billboard:

Billboard has the exclusive premiere of the Sick Individuals remix of Madonna’s new single “Bitch I’m Madonna.” Listen to the thumping reworking below. “Bitch I’m Madonna,” which features Nicki Minaj, is the third single from Madonna’s Rebel Heart album. “Bitch” follows “Living For Love” and “Ghosttown,” which both reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart. Remixes for “Bitch I’m Madonna” will be commercially released on June 16, the same day that its music video is due to premiere.

Releasing this during Pride Month is not a coincidence.

  • JDM

    “Bitch, I’m 56.”

    • guest

      56 is a good age.

  • TheSeanMac

It’s kind of ironic to release it during Pride month, considering the stunt Nicki pulled to get violently homophobic Beenie Man his work visa reinstated. Thankfully, Casey Alva removes Nicki from his remix. I do love the song; I just refuse to spin Nicki.

  • bkmn

    Auto-tune hurts my ears.

    • ZhyKitty

      Yas, Lawd. Mine too!
(I forgive it only when my favorite Drag Queens do it.)
I didn’t get very far into that.
      Ugh. That is not music.
      GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!

  • Ish

The catty/campy “bitch” is so faux transgressive. Like Madonna imitating a drag queen imitating Madonna. I like a couple songs in this album but she needs a new shtick.

    • GunnaHurt

correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t RuPaul doing “You better work bitch” 24 years ago? And even then it was only mildly funny. Britney Spears did “It’s Britney Bitch” 9 or 10 years ago… This is so pathetically desperate.

      • Polterguest

Don’t forget “I’m Rick James, bitch.”

        • GunnaHurt

The funniest skit in comedy history AND was made with the “some old coked up has-been thinking he’s still relevant” comedy in mind…. Madonna’s record is totally unaware of how pathetic it is. There isn’t a joke there.

          • Polterguest

There is, but it’s on her.

  • Achilles Tsakiridis

” Ground breaking , thought provoking , relevant , Pulitzer Prize winning, subtle and full of nuance , creative zenith ..” – said no one about this drivel .. ever . I love Madonna but when you’ve heard her best this is painful …

    • terrence

i actually like the song and the album. its MUCH better than her past few albums.

  • Leo

O/T: Unless Joe’s prepping a big, grand post, or maybe I missed something on here…uh – breaking news?

Mexico just legalized same-sex marriage. Yeah.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/15/world/americas/with-little-fanfare-mexican-supreme-court-effectively-legalizes-same-sex-marriage.html?_r=0

    • ErikDC

No, they didn’t. Did you read the article? It’s discussing the Mexican Supreme Court’s incremental, piecemeal approach over a number of years that has effectively legalized same-sex marriage for most Mexicans. It’s not breaking news. Most Mexican states will not issue same-sex marriage licenses, but have to recognize them from other jurisdictions. This effectively legalizes it for everyone, if they’re willing and able to travel a bit to get the license. A new ruling allows couples to seek relief from district courts, but “does not automatically strike down… state marriage laws.” Though it should in time.

      • Leo

You’re right, I did read it, it’s irresponsible to leave out those details. My apologies.

Because he was dancing, rather than training, maybe? Poor choice.

      • Henry Holland

Sam and his handlers have made really bad decisions from the get go: the bone-headed idea of doing an Oprah show that they immediately dropped out of after Jeff Fisher of the Rams went ballistic; Sam showing up out of shape and performing poorly at the spring combine; thinking that performing OK against second & third stringers meant he was a cinch to make the Cowboys; the totally tone-deaf move to go on a dancing competition reality show when he –wait for it– should have been getting in the best shape of his life for the recent “last chance” combine; performing poorly at the Alouettes training camp (he was struggling against the third string) and now walking out of the Montreal camp just before the first game.

Best of luck in your future endeavors, Mr. Sam, they sure aren’t going to be connected with playing football professionally.

    • ScottJL

He’s getting to be rather embarrassing isn’t he? Wonder how long before he’s on some reality show.

    • Ireyon

What is meant with “personal reasons”?

    • delk

Read about this the other day. Rumor has something about his boyfriend. The boyfriend’s social media has been unusually quiet. Anybody follow him?

  • joeyj1220

Madonna as a spoiled, self-entitled bitch… wow, now that’s novel of her

    • ZhyKitty

It’s time for someone to tell her that no one wants to see Granny’s pussy, or hear about it. It’s just time.
I’m a decade younger than she is and I lowered my hemlines and packed away my assless chaps YEARS ago.

      • Todd20036

I got a laugh or two over Mrs. Slockum’s pussy in Fawlty Towers

        • barracks9

“Are You Being Served”, not Fawlty Towers. Still, both were brilliant!

  • Maybe she should re-team with Nile Rodgers. EDM is getting so tiresome.

  • JDM

    “Bitch, I’m arthritic.”

    • JamesTroia

You look pretty damn old too.

  • Drayfield

i guess if I was on MDMA this might sound good.

    • Blobby

Ironically this wouldn’t have sounded good on MDNA either.

  • GunnaHurt

by far the worst single of her career. At this point she’s coming off like Bette Davis in Whatever Happened To Baby Jane.

I’m embarrassed FOR her with this dreck.

  • Love it until the vocals kick in. Sounds like they’re singing through an old car AM radio speaker.

  • MBear

I’ve never purchased anything by Madonna, but I appreciate what she’s done, how she’s evolved & morphed, how she took her opportunities by the ovaries and built an empire. However, can we just let Nicki Minaj fade into the oblivion?

  • Blobby

yes, “no body is gonna stop us”. I think Miley fucking Cyrus did this 18 months ago. Original as always Madge.

Seems like a lot of work and expense to put out a 3rd single off an album that dropped of the Itunes top 200 after 5 weeks and the Billboard 200 album chart shortly after that.

And before someone says that “people don’t buy albums anymore” – even Adele sits on that last chart after 224 weeks. Even a greatest hits album from the Eagles in 1975 is on the top 200.

    • GunnaHurt

Madonna fans all insist that the album bombed because it leaked early. That would explain a low first-week sales… But the day after an album comes out, it’s ALL over the torrents. So it’s only going to keep selling at all if anyone likes it enough. They don’t. This album is a complete tank. It’s horrible. She needs to stop trying to be the soccer mom in stretch pants and age with some grace. Cher manages to keep having hits and doing albums that aren’t embarrassing. So does Janet.

      • Blobby

i’d prefer it if she acted like a soccer mom and not a 19 yo urban youth – which she clearly is not.

She’s not gaining the 20 yo crowd. And she has pretty much abandoned the 30, 40 and 50 yo who bought her albums when they were 20.

She can call it her “art” all she wants. It’s a business. It is commerce and it ain’t selling.

  • ryan charisma

    I just love her.

  • MythicalBeast

I wish I could reject her as a “gay icon” but who am I kidding? This ultra-derivative paint-by-numbers robo-dreck will be heard in gay clubs everywhere.

  • James

    Bitch, this is awful.

  • ryan charisma

    Fun Song – Bad Remix

  • charliebkk

    Ugh! This is dreadful.

  • Trog

Wow, ya’ll a bunch of old geezers.

Personally, I have high hopes for the mixes and video to this single–hoping that she’ll tap into the EDM and high energy pop rap music that’s out there now (think: DJ Snake “Turn Down for What” and Dillon Francis “Get Low” and most of the top 40 today).

So sad that pop is so dance-oriented now and yet she’s M.I.A.

I admit the remixes to “Ghosttown” were by-the-numbers cliches for the most part. But her performance of “Bitch I’m Madonna” on Jimmy Fallon was awesome.

Really wanting her to release “Holy Water” and “S.E.X.”

    Who cares about her age.

    • A Big Sarcastic Fairy!

yes we are, because we remember when she first came out on the scene and was inventive and great.
Now, not so much. Time for Esther/Madge/? to pack it in. She is not Peggy Lee or any of the other great singers.

    • Randy Left Brooklyn

I’m a year older than Madonna, and I like her but was never a big fan, but I like this song.

  • Thom

Shouldn’t there be a comma after the word “Bitch”?

  • ChadSF

Ouch! My ears!! I’ll stick the #Rosabel remix.

  • olandp

Totally different from “I’m Cher, bitch!”

  • terrence

i love the new album, this remix is OK, nothing special. i much prefer the original.

  • The-Noodle-Almighty

    Bitch, You’re Tired.

  • Why the hell not. Those other remixes were awful. Madonna does not remix well. I like my girl straightup, uncut, unfiltered.

  • Diggy

“It’s Britney, bitch!” Um…..circa 2007. Poor old dear’s veiny hands are trying to grab onto some kind of, any kind of, career relevance.

  • What’s a Madonna, again? I feel like I used to know but then completely stopped caring around 2002.
