Another Defeat For NOM: Bid To Oust Illinois GOP Chair Pat Brady Fails

NOM’s campaign to oust gay-friendly Illinois GOP chairman Pat Brady has failed.

A special Saturday meeting of top Illinois Republicans to debate the fate of state GOP Chairman Pat Brady over his support for same-sex marriage was abruptly canceled after sources said a group pushing for Brady’s ouster lacked the necessary votes. In a statement, several members of the Illinois Republican State Central Committee said they canceled the special meeting because Brady was unavailable to meet with them, though Brady had made it known for weeks that he would be vacationing and unable to attend.

It’s been three days and there’s still no mention of this latest failure on NOM’s blog. How curious.
