Clinton’s Blood Clot Is In Her Skull

Last night doctors revealed that the blood clot suffered by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is in her skull.  News outlets had spent the last two days speculating as to its location.

“This is a clot in the vein that is situated in the space between the brain and the skull behind the right ear,” her doctors, Dr. Lisa Bardack and Dr. Gigi El-Bayoumi, said in a statement. “It did not result in a stroke, or neurological damage.” Clinton’s doctors said they need to monitor how she responds to her medications, which include blood thinners, before she is released. Secretary Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton, and daughter Chelsea visited her on Monday, and a number of senior aides remain inside the hospital with her.

Clinton is “expected to make a full recovery” but at this writing news reports have not indicated if she will be released from the hospital today as was first announced on Sunday.
