Open Thread Thursday

For the first 18 years after I left Orlando, I always came home for Thanksgiving. But three years ago I told my bio-family that I was building a new tradition with my homo-family in NYC and would henceforth be spending Thanksgivings with them here. They understand that while I’m single and childless, I have another family here that’s as real and as close and as loved as the one with whom I share DNA. It’s a beautiful thing.
